This place is such a gold mine. Hard to see from the road but so glad we stopped. The food was absolutely delicious and they had good vegan and vegetarian choices, as well as delicious meat options too. Would definitely recommend eating here! 10/10 - also great beverage choices

If I could give 6 stars, I would. As someone who is not from the area, I decided to stop by for my final dinner before taking off back home. To my surprise, the inside had no tables which was disappointing. We decided to get the sandwiches to go and try our luck on the beach. We got the pork and the beef and every bite was better than the last. The sandwiches were huge and hearty, and filled with amazing fresh flavors. I will dream of this place until I come back one day.

This place is a little hole in the wall spot with great food! The drinks/smoothies I saw looked good and I definitely enjoyed my meatball bánh mì. There are only a few outdoor tables. I would say its not a place that is intended to stay and eat. Service was fine although we did wait for awhile; they were obviously busy, so that was understandable.

One of my favorite banh mi spots in the Bay Area!!Their meat is good quality, and the bread is soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside. Something that I found pretty cool is that the spring rolls had friend pork instead of the typical pork. I think this was a great touch.I also got a strawberry lychee smoothie and it was amazing. I definitely see myself coming back!

I could eat here daily, we love this place.Sometimes it can get pretty busy so you might have to wait but its well worth it. I love the portobello mushroom sandwich and the spring rolls are the best Ive ever had. Thai tea is 💣 too! The people who work here are also super friendly so thats a plus. We will be back!

This is our GO-TO spot for Vietnamese sandwiches. We usually eat them at the beach since there’s not a lot of place sit besides their outdoor seating. My favorite would have to be the Crispy Tofu Sandwich with Sriracha on the side… so good! The bread is crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. The pickled veggies were delicious as well.Highly recommend ordering for pickup since it takes a while for them to make it.

Drove from San Jose to try them out and glad we did!Their kare kare bánh mi was super delicious! Bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! Their chicken and shrimp spring rolls with the peanut sauce were also delicious and I believe they added apples in it! The watermelon and lychee jelly smoothie was refreshing and not overly sweet!The sandwich was shared between mom and I and we couldn’t even finish the spring rolls!

They have the most fabulous sandwiches you would want to taste. They have a bread that the sandwiches go on that I cant find anywhere its just absolutely delicious. I asked for no peppers on my sandwich and as I walked away I noticed it did have peppers. Took it back to the counter and they immediately with a smile on their face gave it to me correctly, and I really appreciate that. You got to check it out

Had the crispy tofu vegetarian banh mi, and it was great -- flavorful and not overbearing sauce on the tofu, with avocado and other fresh and pickled veggies. Also had the taro and tofu spring rolls with peanut sauce on the side, which were large and tasty.Portions are a little large -- my wife and I each took half a sandwich home.

I consider myself a connoisseur of Vietnamese food. I love trying new restaurants, especially ones that focus on spring rolls and bánh mì! Dinosaurs knows what it does and does it exceptionally well. Probably one of the very best sandwich shops in Pacifica. Great selection, consistently good quality and service. A little pricey for fast food ($9-12 per sandwich), but each sandwich is a meal, and the ingredients are super fresh. Sanitary prep table, too.Theres a big debate among locals about Bunny vs. Dinosaurs, and the comparison isnt really warranted. Dinosaurs is part of a larger local chain, and Bunny is a small family-owned business. Both places make great sandwiches. Bunny is great for the more traditional stuff, whereas Dinosaurs has more of a Californian fusion flare to their sandwiches.I go to the place that strikes my fancy, and I will say that I can count on Dinosaurs to be open and stocked when they say they will be.I highly recommend the meatball and shaking beef sandwiches. The chicken and shrimp spring rolls are also delicious and are not commonly found at your typical banh mi shop. Recommended!

I tried a Special pork sandwich with extra meat and mushrooms. The size was abundant and overflowing with pate, which matches the flavors really well.The bread was fresh and crunchy and was well stuffed. Its a hole in the wall but quality is superb. Their sandwiches are all good and refreshingly light. Portions are huge and place is clean. The fresh spring rolls wrapped with rice sticks, shrimp and cilantro are a must to have! The dippy sauce is the kicker here...its made with peanut butter and you cant stop once youve started. Good to go after work for a light dinner. Enjoy!!!

I generally like it here. Sometimes I just need a Vietnamese sub. The quality of the food is really great. They are always pretty accommodating on requests. The service is generally good, but if there are a few people ahead of you it can slow right down. I have definitely walked in in a rush, seen that people were in line and just walked out.The get good marks for being open and having consistent hours. Bunnys is another place in Pacifica that offers Vietnamese sandwiches, and they are closed almost half the time I go.They loose some marks in my book because a good Vietnamese sub should be delicious, fast and cheap. Their sandwiches are always delicious, sometimes fast, but a little expensive.

Pretty good vietnamese sandwich place. Ordered a combo and a shaken beef sandwich. The combo was meaty and had lots of fillings. Average size sandwich. I am happy that their picked veges was flavorful ( some places make them sort of bland). Shaken beef sandwich wasnt as meaty. You can look at my pictures for reference. It didnt taste quite pike shaken beef but still a good sandwich. They are a bit pricy, at $8.15 a sandwich and $8.50 for 3 spring rolls. Not the best service either. They werent rude but they didnt say hi or anything to acknowledge me when I walking in until they were ready to take my order.

Pretty good sandwiches, I tried both the shaking beef and pork sandwich. Both meats were savory and flavorful. The bread roll was very fresh tasting. I would order the sandwich with less mayo and ask them to make the sandwich spicier next time.Not a huge fan of the vietnamese coffee either, the coffee tasted burnt. Would come back to get another sandwich and try the Thai tea next time.

Amazing vietnamese sandwiches and fresh spring rolls. Thai iced tea and coffee with milk or coconut milk. They dont need a lot of options on this menu, its just perfect. Unlike most places, Dinosaurs quality actually went UP during the pandemic! And they were already 4 stars then. They really rolled with it, and doubled down on take out. There are seats outside, but most call ahead; show up 20 mins later; Grab and go. If you dont call ahead, the turn around us still fast, about 15 mins.

Wow! In a time where a lot of Viet sandwich spots in the South Bay seem tired/worn out, Dinosaurs’ updated, but still authentic Vietnamese food blew us away.You can tell whoever developed these recipes loves the kind of Vietnamese cooking that native Viets would like to eat. The baguette here is almost worth it alone and the subtle updates to traditional recipes that in turn make this place “Viet-American” are really satisfying. Will be back.

Im rating the business as a whole and the environment is not customer friendly.Its been open for a long time but looks like they just opened two weeks ago with clutter all around. Ugly florescent lighting and uncomfortable seating. Look, its a sandwich shop, I dont expect white table cloths or flowers on the tables. I dont even appreciate those things. However, just a little bit of effort would make it good enough to eat there instead of take away. In fact, I have in the past said to myself, I could go for a Bahn Mi before I drive down to Mt View but I dont want to spend that much time there so I stopped at 5 guys despite being in a Bahn Mi mood.The worst part about visiting for me is being forced to hear hip hop type music from the kitchen as I wait for my order. The kitchen workers might like it but as a customer, its says to me We dont really want you to eat here. But, Im a middle aged white guy, maybe Im outside their demo. There are plenty of styles of music that I enjoy, but would never subject my customers to as they ate.All that said, damn good Bahn Mi sandwiches. Ill keep ordering for take away.

Fun cheap yum! When I went to college in LA there was this little nameless sandwich shop we used to call Buck Fity, because it cost you a dollar to eat lavishly. For a college student that was heaven. Now in 2018 with our self driving cars, selfie drones and AI robots taking all our jobs (Spoiler Alert*** it wasnt the mexicans) you can travel back in time and enjoy a sandwich and yummy food that takes you back to 2000 LA when things were simple and more fun.
