My goto place for great Mexican food around. I have been visiting this place for around 10 years now and they never disappoint. I love ordering different Enchiladas and burritos. Their sauces are always top notch.

Service at this particular location is great and the place is very clean. They are able to keep the salsa bar clean and stocked even later towards the night on a Saturday after a crowd of people.The food is good and fairly priced, higher quality for counter service. While flavorful, something is always just a tad off with the flavors. Maybe the type of chilis they use.

We went on Tuesday night to get a take away for dinner. The parking was full so I had to circle once to get a spot. The restaurant was quite busy but the line moved quickly. We got our order within 10 mins of ordering.- Kids chicken burrito: my kid said it was good but the portion was so small that he was still hungry- Ranchero burrito a la carte with chicken: good portion with loads of delicious sauce and melting cheese. The burrito itself was delicious and flavorful.- Tortilla chips: fresh, crispy & delicious!Tips: There is a self-serve salsa with different spiciness.Get the sweet & mild salsa! It was DELICIOUS!!! The spicy pico de gallo was good & fresh too.

Stopped by for lunch and was impressed by the menu size. I ordered off the special seasonal menu & had the crunchy enchiladas and they were amazing. The restaurant is nice and good location. Great outdoor seating. Awesome selection in salsa bar.4/5 as I expected more flavor. Wasn’t enough spices/flavor as I expected. Would be back to try again in future.

Good menu and space but the main annoyance is that unlike every other Mexican restaurant they don’t give you chips up front. You have to wait for your order to come out and it is Limited quantity. They should change this and put a bowl of chips by the salsa bar.

Dana and I sometimes will go for dinner here. I want to recognize Matt. He is a manager there. Everytime we go there, he sees us and always greets us by name. We dont usually run into managers that take the time to say hi and actually remember who we are. We do appreciate his hospitality. Thank you Matt!

Ordered a special pulled pork burrito - sounded great until I cut into it, - 90% large pepper slices - one piece of pork. Complained and showed it to the manager. He didnt address the fact that it was all un eatable peppers - just said it was popular. And that was it! Assuming that this Folsom location is under new management or ownership

I get the salmon spinach salad and it is a rip off. The amount of spinach they give is sad, some of my spinach wasn’t fresh, it was dark green and slimy so I had to sort through that. They don’t give you salmon, they give you a small piece of random fish for the third time now. All this for a price of $20!!!!

Usually I go with a burrito bowl which includes a side of tortilla chips, but I also recommend the nachos or salad. There are a variety of salsas that range from mild to hot. Additionally, the prices are reasonable. The staff is always friendly no matter how busy the lunch time rush is. Parking can be challenging at times, but there is additional parking across the street by the tire store.

Dos always delivers on quality food and a vibrant and clean atmosphere. One of my favorite restaurants, easily. Reasonably priced too. We are lucky to have them!I highly suggest the Adobe salad with steak. You can get shrimp or salmon or chicken on it as well if you prefer. I think it is one of the best salads you can get in the area and it is less than $12 and very filling!

The mahi mahi tacos were a bit hard to eat .....very sloppy. I think they need a crunchy shell and a lightly fried white fish other than mahi. It was very bland . Their prices are fair but you only get two small tacos and some chips for around $12.

We came out from out of state for a week (TX) and passed by this place quite a few times. Always seen people walking in and out so I figured our last night there my husband and I would try it. NOT authentic Mexican food whatsoever. My husband ordered a enchilada plate and I had gotten the chicken quesadilla and it just wasnt good at all and it was pricey which wouldnt have mattered had the food been good. Next time we go back to Folsom we will not be going back this restaurant.

Excellent food full of flavor and fresh. Service was quick. I got the shrimp burrito wet with the chile green sauce on top. Not too spicy but had a nice bite to it. Wish the salsa bar was open but given the covid-19 times its understandable. Staff was friendly. Will definitely be back.

Ive been getting my Dos since they first opened in 91 in Davis and they never disappoint! My go to is the Southwest burrito but if you like your burrito wet get the ranchero. There specials are also worth a look and pretty high end for a order at the counter place. The Yucatan salad is a beast if youre looking for health and have an appetite.

The food taste had gone down for sure. I was here a year back last time, and from what I tasted, the taste has gone down. This place was a hit and no brain when we had to get a quick bit when going out as an office crowd.The service and atmosphere remain the same and hence still probably an easy thought when again thinking when going add an office crowd. So disappointed with the quality of food. I arrived before the lunch crowd, order an ice tea and a mango chicken quesadilla to go which cost $12.95. Then when I got it...it was soggy on the bottom, liked they didnt even grill it on both sides or attempted to drain the corn or salsa. And the cardboard tray wasnt even rigid to hold the food because it absorbed all the liquid.Pay more attention to preparation Dos Coyotes I ordered a quesadilla not a crepe.

I come here on my lunch break every couple weeks. Service is fast and the food is good. My favorite is the green chili stew, when its available in the winter. The only negatives are that I find the chairs to be uncomfortable, and the dish preparation can vary quite a bit from visit to visit. Still a great spot for lunch!

I have been there twice so far and the food is pretty good. The tacos are not so great but the enchiladas and burritos are truly really good. AND THE SALSA CAN BE VERY SPICY. I think it would be better if they added like something as spicy as the run-of-the-mill salsa you can find at Costco or something.

The restaurant decor was cool but the entire experience felt rushed and chaotic. There was not enough menus to look at while standing in line, the line to order wasnt clear and people were going in and out, the cashier was not rude but not friendly either, it really felt like I was in the show Seinfeld in line for soup... Then after all that the food was just OK. I ordered spicy but there was hardly any floavor. The only saving grace was a decent salsa bar (whats with those tiny serving spoons?)

Long been a fan of Dos. Used to be here very regularly.Order accuracy has steadily declined over the years, and had some mixed experiences which had slowed frequency of wanting to visit dramatically. They also have taken off many of my favorites off the menu (simple things that I didn’t have to ask for no cilantro, lettuce or onions on).Tonight was an example of badness. My chipotle bbq sauce wasn’t chipotle bbq sauce at all due to “a mix up this morning”. My plain avocado side (specifically asked for it plain and all by itself) was brown to the point of being inedible, but also had bits of onion and cilantro on it - exactly what I very explicitly asked to not be. Is if that hard to keep things plain and separated?The bean and cheese burrito was decent and sizable. When they sorted out the right sauce, it was good.Was very disappointed that someone thought it was ok to plate and serve me brown avocado, but after the sauce challenges didn’t want to expend more effort and wait even longer to resolve something that I shouldn’t have to.Tonight would have been a 1.5 - 2 star experience. Normally they are slightly above a 3 and my wife didn’t have any issues with her order so being generous with 3 stars. It will be much harder for her to convince me to roll the dice again. If they bring back some of their old specials (which haven’t rotated for a very, very long time like they once did) I may be swayed. Their Chili Colorado was really good when they had it (and it was even a regular item for a while)

The prices for the amount of food you receive are good. As far as being authentic Mexican food...not quite. The meats are flavorful: grilled chicken/pollo asado, steak/carne asada and carnitas/pork, the flavors are on point. The best thing for me was their salsa bar, everything tasted fresh. The only reason I gave them. 4 stars was because the nachos had a super sweet sauce on them and so did the red enchiladas and I dont care for sweet in my food. Overall it was good. I will be back to try their burritos.

My mom and I ate here for the first time today (east sac location) and had one of our best mid-covid lunch experiences so far! The food was plentiful and fresh and yummy. The outside seating was spacious, clean and shaded. The workers were patient and friendly and welcoming and very accommodating. Natalee was outstanding and we would come back just to see her! Its generally quite tasty with a nice variety of options on the menu. The salsa bar and free chips are also a nice value, especially given how good the salsas are. The key downside is inconsistently cooked meat, which can be overly dry about 20% of the time. Also, the architecture inside the building is very hard leading to a lot of echo and loudness. But overall very good.

Dos Coyotes is sooo good. As someone who hails from New Mexico it is freakin awesome to see a California restaurant incorporating Hatch green chile into their menu. My favorite item is the potato tacos (add pork!) and the green chile stew is pretty dang authentic (and hot af, so beware)! I have 2 suggestions for ownership: 1) Could you make sopapillas? Like authentic southwestern New Mexican sopapillas? Served with honey as an app, not a dessert with powered sugar on them. Deep fried indian bread, bite the corner off and pour honey inside...good God. What I would give. 2) You gotta do something about those salsa spoons which might as well be a butterknife or chopsticks. You have to ladle about 20 times to fill one tiny cup. If you dont time it correctly and start the salsa process before the food is served, you might have cold food by the time you are ready to chow.

I ordered a fajitas salad and it was horrible. Chicken was dry and cold. The onions, peppers, and salad were to big for a bite. I spent most of the meal trying to cut my food into bite sized pieces and finally gave up. No flavor, dressing was just poured into one spot and was soggy. Not sure how long it was sitting for before they brought it to our table. It seemed like it was all just left over food.

Food was great, service was even better. I wanted to order a little more food since we were still hungry, and the cashier asked if everything we had ordered before that was alright. I told him yeah, and offhandedly mentioned that one of our taco plates was supposed to be beef and ended up chicken (which I wasnt too worried about because the chicken was really good despite being incorrect) but he fixed it right then and there without any hesitation and gave us the second plate of beef tacos free of charge. Really went above & beyond without being asked, and I think that deserves some praise.

I was very specific yet they kept putting the things Im allergic to on my tacos...They got my order wrong 3 times.. and by the 3rd time I just asked for my money back...the manager didnt even seem to care about what had happened.I had wasted A LOT of time there just to have to go get food somewhere else..which left me feeling bummed out. i had just been released from the hospital earlier in the day and I was starving and excited to get food from here as its been awhile since Ive eaten here...but now I dont think Ill ever come back to this location

Love this place. Been going here for many years. I love that the kitchen is in view. The staff and management are awesome. The environment is great. However, if you land behind someone trying to substitute every single item in their meal... It can slow the line down. You pay upfront and then sit down. For those who are new to Dos, this isnt an alternative to Taco Bell or Del Taco. Its not cheap fast food. I usually split my meal with someone or end up having leftovers, so its honestly not that expensive.

We used to get it at least once a week but we moved a little farther away.Lots of options and the food is always fresh. Our go tos here are: border burrito, mesa tacos (the crunchy ones are my fave), and when Im feeling a lighter meal the kids chicken & rice plate (which is actually a lot of food). Some of these come with chips which is always a plus.

I have been passing by this place for years. Finally stopped in for lunch today. I shouldve stopped by sooner. I had a chili Colorado burrito. It was outstanding. Very good flavor profile. Cooked to perfection. Very hot on arrival. Pizza mouth mode. I love it. The salsa bar is not something you want to overlook. Really good selection with a great flavor profile amongst the choices. The salads are off the hook. My coworker got a Yucatan chicken salad. Oh my lord. It looked amazing and he didnt speak much during the meal. Very nice. I will be back and obviously recommend this place to anyone in the Folsom outlets area. You wont be disappointed. The tortilla chips could be a bit fresher but not bad. It would be cool if they offered flour tortilla chips too. They are yummy.

I had ordered a paella burrito with three extra shrimp. I was about half done and realized I only had four total shrimp in my burrito, when I had paid for three extra. I pointed it out to the manager Dave, and with hardly saying a word other than let me fix that. He grabbed my plate and made me a whole new burrito.I would have been happy with just the three extra shrimp that I had purchased. but he went the extra distance and provided me with a brand new hot burrito which was delicious. This place is okay. The food was not that great. I ordered a steak burrito and there wasnt much steak in it. We probably wont be back as there are so many better options for Mexican in Folsom. Unfortunately the salsa bar is self serve and open to all the air in the restaurant and in the time is COVID not something Im comfortable with. The patio in the back is pretty nice but there is a lot of car noise from the street. I think if they put up a sound barrier of some type it would really help.

Really good food, Reasonable price, very nice large patio within a forested reserve.Smothering sauce:Typical enchilada sauce, bitter. Would like it enhanced by a nonacidic tomato paste (low cost in large bulk cans). This also cuts the overall cost. Weve been loyal Dos fans since the first one opened in Davis a long time ago. Its still my favorite fast casual place to eat, but the quality has been steadily declining. The specials are usually worth trying, but they cant consistently deliver quality on even simple things like the SW Chicken Burrito or salads. Good size portions for about the going rate for a good Mexican food place. I cant say it is the most authentic Mexican food, one of the Americanized Mexican food places I enjoy the most. Flavor is good, not as greasy as some other places. Lots of variety including salads and some daily specials. Salmon burritos is one of the best I have had. Enchilada sauce seems to be house made and it has good flavor, always a favorite for the family.

I gave a 5 star because of my first experience. It was rush hour and I was on my lunch with a couple co-workers and we all ordered. We had to wait I say about 5-10 give or take and the food was brought out to us rather then us getting up. The food was good and such nothing bad about all that either and I did not use the restroom to rate it but the environment seemed okay and it was cleaned enough for that rush hour at noon. Chain restaurants have to walk a fine line when it comes to ethnic food. They cant always prepare the food as spicy and it might otherwise be prepared traditionally. Dos Coyotes seems to fall into this and I found the enchiladas to be bland.They have a great outdoor seating area right next to the bike trail, but it is also right next to Folsom Blvd. You get a lot of traffic noise.For a quick bit it is a good choice, but it is not my favorite Mexican food place.

The food was not the best. I ordered some chicken taquitos and when they brought it to me I noticed right away that they were over cooked and very hard which I tried to overlook. In my opinion, if you get a lot of complaints about a certain dish, then why serve it? It doesnt make any sense to serve a dish that creates unhappy customers. I am a very unhappy customer!

Now usually I am not disappointed with them but it only takes one experience like a slap on the hand for you to remember when you got burned. I have a wife that loves spicy foods so I ordered 2 burritos (1 spicy 1 mild) while I was on my 30 minute lunch and after receiving my food and getting back to work with my wife we realized that the burritos were not labeled. Now I have acid reflex and heart burn when I eat spicy foods so I let my wife try one first which was spicy so I started to eat the other, and sure enough they made them both spicy. Out of being really hungry and pinched for time I was in straight physical pain while choking this burrito down. They had taken serrano peppers and poorly diced them up and threw globs of them onto the burrito. After eating the burrito from hell it gave a whole new meaning to blood, sweat and tears for me. The specials rotate enough to find some new tasty treats, but also slow enough that you can get it again the next time youre in. The only things thatd make it better is better consistency of the spiciness of the green chili and red chilli sauces that you can get on the burritos. Bad Experience! My wife and I recently discovered this Dos Coyotes location. We have always really enjoyed the food and came back tonight for the third time in two weeks. When I pointed this out, I was essentially told to keep searching for the rest of the fillings while they go grab me more guacamole without concern. I know how these burritos are supposed to be as I have had them at other Sacramento area locations for the last 6 years. It is unfortunate that we got this experience, especially after driving out to Folsom multiple times just to give them our business. The food was not worth it and the evening staff is lackadaisical at best. We wont be going back.

Never disappoint! I asked for a plate but one that wasnt the average size. The staff member was very informative and showed me a light version which had smaller plates. It was delicious!

I have to change my review to 1 star from 5. Im vegan and I dont appreciate eating meat unintentionally. Twice I have gotten cheese in my burritos when I obviously asked for no cheese, this I can kind of understand. But meat in a vegetarian burrito is not cool, not at all. Ill never go back. If you are a vegan or vegatarian stay away.

This is a great place for lunch -- delicious food, good service, wide variety of food options, clean restaurant, convenient location, outdoor eating availability, plenty of tables, several salsas in the salsa bar, etc. We like to come as a couple or with friends!

Wow! Cant believe we havent tried Dos Coyotes before. Weve been in the Folsom area for 7 months now, passed it numerous times, and just decided today to give it a try. So glad we did. It was excellent, and the portions are huge. Well be back soon!

The service was excellent, overall the restaurant was very clean and the prices were ok. The food was horrible and there was nothing authentic about their flavor. It was not Mexican food. Nothing was spicy. First and last time eating there.

Traveling through Sacramento... Stopped by chance..so delicious. Ordered green chicken enchiladas and nachos ... Divine. I would weigh a million pounds if I lived close... Try the sweet tomatillio salsa ( yes they have a salsa bar with lots of choices ... And fresh pico de Gallo) order at counter... They bring food... I was extremely busy today and right before my lunch was over I decided to place a phone order for pickup. I get to work and my order was wrong, I have been coming here for years and never had an issue or error. I called back and the same gentlemen answered the phone and placed me on hold. I was waiting for a manager when Dillion the assistant manager picked up and proceeded to assist me, he fixed the situation and is going to look into it. I thank you for treating me with respect and I apologize for any rudeness you received and truly appreciate the level of professionalism you treated me with as I wanted to be treated thank you for taking care of the customer and I will be back with a smile on my face.

Ive eaten at a lot of Dos Coyotes and this is the best tasting burritos Ive have had. So its a great restaurant in a good chain
