From the authentic selections picked by my beautiful wife I can give this place a solid four stars. Would gladly see some design improvements to increase the rating.Would highly recommend Beef Dry Chow Fun $19.95 (flavorful mix of beef and noodles) with authentic hot sauce they have on each table. Top it off with Special Pea Sprouts $21.95 as veggie side and get Salt & Pepper Calamari $10.95 (came juicy and tender) appetizer.Complementary tea, and there goes your excellent, healthy dinner.Enjoy your visit and come again.Hope to see you there next time.

There are some dim sums on the menu by the marker.The staff was nice and helpful.It’s too expensive about under 90 including the tips and taste it normally.We see a woman from the health government organization talking with the young man constantly while enjoying my lunch time.

The dim sum here is pretty on point. Bit on the pricey side but definitely authentic. Ordering is easy with colorful photos and a whiteboard marker to write the orders with.

The dim sum place is alright. My family goes there because there is not much of a wait time to get a table. The food is not spectacular. The dim sum is not piping hot like I would expect if it just came out of the pot or steamer. I had ordered vegetarian entrées, which they had to cook to order, so those came out hot. The tofu salt and pepper were once really salty that I couldnt eat it. Another time, I ordered a tofu dish with mushrooms, but I was given another dish instead with no mushrooms. I pointed out to the waiter, but they still charged me for the wrong dish. The place is not as impressive as other dim sum places.

Absolutely delightful to know this place has good quality Chinese food. I am picky with bitter melon scrambled egg dish. This one is above expectation. Good fluffy consistency and not burnt. Bitter melon has good texture and not overly bitter or soggy. My coworkers all took a bite and loved the taste. Hot and sour soup hit the spot as well. It might be slight pricier than average Chinese eateries around town but their food quality is channeling big restaurant vibe. Good “wok fire” is the basic requirement to great Chinese dishes. This place has it.

Tried this for lunch today, the best one was the shrimp and chive dumplings. The gin doey (sesame balls) were tiny, the same size as the siu mai but the filling was red bean and not lotus as advertised. Siu mai were tasty! Would like to see them add don tat to the menu, over all a good place for lunch.

New place, they are still growing and have a limited menu at the time several items are listed, but they are sold out. Food is tasty and staff is quick to serve you. Atmosphere is casual, good old soft rock to keep the crowd singing. Prices are a little high for the area. If you like to watch TV while you eat, the do have two TV on a football game. I would recommend giving them a chance.

I live in Alameda and have gone to the location there for over 20 years. Im glad this lication opened up because I work in Walnut Creek. They have the best dim sum around. The variety is good too. Many other restaurants claim to have dim sum but only have maybe 2 or 3 varieties. Other dishes Ive had are very good as well.

We loved Dynasty Bistro and came back to find out that it’s been taken over by East Ocean. They said it was originally owned by them but they renamed it. It was very confusing. It was our place for the last year and it was so good. We weren’t told when we ordered off the same menu that anything had changed until we came in to pickup. It was very confusing seeing a new sign and a new dim sum menu. It’s also now a seafood restaurant. That was odd. Sadly the food was very bland and tasteless. We were very disappointed. We spent a lot of money and the cost went up too. It was $133. The yellow curry noodles were bland, the honey shrimp and tofu veggies had no flavor and the fried rice was different. The orange chicken, Rangoon’s and fried chicken was ok. It just wasn’t the same and missing the flavors, seasoning and salt. Very disappointing and very expensive. We won’t go back again. I wish it would go back to Dynasty Bistro. We liked the food and Sammy was nice.

We ordered Christmas dinner for 8 adults back in December and everything was so great! Chicken wings, Broccoli Beef, Honey Walnut Prawns, Salt & Pepper Shrimp, Lemon Chicken and Pot Stickers were all delicious. The pick up service was well executed. Everything was ready and packed in boxes when we arrived. They helped us carry out to the car and we had wonderful, delicious dinner...no muss no fuss!

This place is over priced and not worth the value. If doing take out, expect an extra bag charge higher then market price. I ordered an e-fu noodle and got rice stick noodles instead. No one told me they were out or asked if substitution was ok.

Best Dim Sum in the East Bay, now in Walnut Creek from East Ocean Seafood Restaurant in Alameda. Been waiting for a closer location for dim sum for year. Been going to the original one for years. Excellent food and service. Never have any issues. Great friendly staff. Love it.

Updated review:We are big fans of the east ocean seafood restaurant. Love the food in particular, the dim sum and the wait staff are great. The restaurant is often packed and it is not surprising!Been here 4 times now, great for the price. Nice atmosphere and incredibly friendly. We lived the string bean chicken, shrimp tofu pot and mushu shrimp. Decent house wine and daughter loved the mango smoothie.

Tried this newly opened restaurant in Walnut Creek next to Sports Basement.Excellent diem sum as well as other traditional Hong Kong style dishes.We have been lifelong patrons of the original East Ocean Seafood restaurant in Alameda. Variety of dishes offered at Walnut Creek location isnt as extensive, however, all dishes that they do offer is as good in quality & taste!Only other difference is that prices at W.C. location run about 20% higher (likely due to the higher rent they have to pay!

My husband and I went for lunch. The atmosphere was of a tacky fast food restaurant with a formal cost! Silly mural on the wall. Metal and uncomfortable chairs, very loud. Food was ok. With a tip, our lunch cost over $100.00!!Never again! Go to New Lims for value and taste! FYI, my husband is Chinese and he knows his food! Save your money! This place is so not worth it!!

We were shopping at Sports Basement, saw the Dim Sum sign at this tucked-away restaurant and what a pleasant surprise! We ordered Siu Mai, Sesame Chicken, Beef chow fun, a Thai iced-tea and a Mango slushy. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, and the service was excellent! They checked on us and made us felt welcome. We had plenty to take home for dinner. Will definitely go back and try other dishes soon.

Came here on a whim for good food in a random spot. Very clean & attentive service. The food portions could have been slightly bigger for the price but overall it was fresh & good. Visually this place is very appealing. Tons of free parking in this location. It wasnt very packed at all in the restaurant.

I’ve been to the Alameda location numerous times, but happy that we have a wonderful dim sum place at WC!!! Really wanted to like this place. Food is just ok. Ordered HK style crispy noodles with shrimp and ck, $16.50 and I got 4 (31-40 size small shrimps) and lots of chicken. Mushroom with bok Choy was good, but for $15.95, expected more portion. Got the imitation meat kung pao ck, the imitation meat is probably one of the worst tasting ones we’ve had, and we’ve had many from all over the world - It’s bland and watery and nothing like real ck. We also got s&p tofu, that was good, but again, for $13.95, expected more (most places charge $8). Brown rice is $3.75 for a small bowl.Service was nice, almost a little too much as I was approached twice just walking by glancing at their menu OUTSIDE.Overall impressions, food was bland (even for my standards), pricey and portion is a little small for the price. Service is good if that’s what you’re looking for, which is rare for Chinese restaurants.

I ordered with doordash today at about 11 am. The confirmation said pickup at 11:45. When I arrived, the order was lost and they said it would be another 30 minutes. I went back at 12:15 and they said it would be another 20 minutes. I said I had already waited 30. He went to the kitchen and it was there. When I took it home, I discovered they shorted me 3 plates that was not worth the return trip to the restaurant. I should have checked before I left. The food was also cold.

Customer wait-list management is a disaster.I had to wait more than 20 min just to get on a paper wait list and then its another 20 min to get a table. Waiting is fine because I understand some restaurants are more popular than they have capacity for but why having to wait just to get on a waiting list? Can we just have a sign up sheet to front so we dont have to wait for someone to take our name down? Thanks

The stars are for the meat preparation in the house chow mein. Excellent and plenty. The noodles were thick, not like ramen. Flavor was good. Fried rice--texture good with veggies but not exceptional. Not greasy. Owner is friendly.

My family has gone to this restaurant under the old ownership for many years. The new ownership is fabulous. We are so glad that it is even better. We got the cashew chicken and it was delicious and the portion so generous. Not only that, the owner went above and beyond to get us our food after an extenuating circumstance that the delivery app wouldnt help us with at all. Thank you.

This restaurant is a surprising jewel! The service, food and atmosphere, all make this a place I am going to visit again soon. The management and wait staff make you feel like a VIP. Went to Dynasty Bistro for light lunch. Very nice friendly service. Had Wor Wonton soup. First time Ive had it in a beef rather than chicken/seafood broth.It was tasty. Filled with pieces of beef and chicken, shrimp, wontons, bok choy. I Ive been there before and will go back again.
