Basic sushi. Nothing super spectacular. Wasnt very fond of some of the recommendations. There wasnt anything that really wowed me. Id skip the appetizers and just go with your regular roll order. Food was okay at fresh. Service was really good. Servers were very attentive. It wasnt super busy on a Saturday lunch time. We made reservations but probably could have just walked in as a group. Didnt get a chance to check out the bar area but appears there was more space and seating. Wish they had a better space for groups. We were seated in a back corner off to the side.

A quick stop to Napa, we saw Eiko’s we sat at the sushi bar and we can see the staff making them. The staff were very friendly. Food was also good. The price are reasonable.

My wife and I have dined here a few times and always had consistently fresh, tasty food. The service is exceptional and personable.The atmosphere is upbeat and modern, though we do prefer more relaxed, traditional settings to enjoy this style of cuisine.All in all, cant go wrong with Eikos!

This is probably one of my favorite Sushi Restaurants of all time. The ambiance is perfect for my tastes and the selections are out of this world!One of the reasons why I love this place is that some of the dishes are real pieces of art. As a designer I really appreciate how some restaurants really put in the extra effort in the aesthetic aspect of their dishes.When ever I go there I always blow a TON of cash because of it lol. The food and drinks are top notch so its all good.When I went last I had a server in training and both the trainer and trainee were both excellent. Really love great service. I also tried something new which was the Kobe Beef roll. Never had that before. It was different and quite delicious.They also still have the Covid barriers/table/booth separators up too so if you are a little nervous about going out that might offer a little comfort.Anyways, dont take my word for it, when youre in the downtown napa area definitely give Eikos a shot!

Good price point and nice service.Love the green tea here.Seafood ceviche is surprisingly excellent considering in a Japanese restaurant. All sushi rolls are tasty and delicious. I like the fact that they make the rolls in just the right size.

Some of the best sushi I’ve had. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary in Napa, and looked for great restaurants to enjoy. This one definitely one we will revisit again. Enjoyed every bite of our food. It’s a place you won’t leave with leftovers!

Fantastic food! Perfectly seared, perfectly cooked scallops, and the sauce they were perched on was incredible. I cant tell you what it tasted like, but the flavors were excellent and complemented the scallops perfectly. The duck confit fried rice was tasty as well, and everything else our party got was happily enjoyed. Ill be back!

Great experiece with Modern Japanese cuisine. Lovely location with plenty outdoor and dog friendly.. kicked off with Lychee Martini and Snow maid Sake. The blackend Edamame, Grilled Eggplant were finger licking good. Miso soup with mushroom was delightful and at right ambient temperature. Main course of Yellowtail Jalapeños was an elevated experience with soy dipped sashimi cuts and topped with a slice of Jalapeños. The veg roll sushi and Lion Roll was a large portion and fulfilling. Server Adam was friendly and everyone else was helping out. Overall a great experience..

This place was amazing! The ambiance is so welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the Blackened Edamame. It had the perfect blend of zest and spiciness. I had the Choice NY Strip Steak bento lunch with ginger sauce. The meat was tender and flavourful. The miso soup was the best Ive ever had, so warm and comforting. Definitely a great place to eat in Napa.

The sushi and sashimi were okay but the service was TERRIBLE!At first it’s seem like we can eat here or we can eat somewhere else they don’t care because we are travelers (only eat here once)They said “they don’t take more than 6 person per table” so if you come more than 6, you will need to sit in 2 tables. But we came here with 6 adults and 1 kid. We only ask for a chair for the kid and they make difficulties for us.At the end, they still ended up give us the chair but still poor service!!!!The outside and inside is big and clean.Update: the waitress name is “April”

Right in the heart of downtown Napa, this sushi joint is perfectly located next to other shops, which is nice because you can take a stroll after dinner. The atmosphere is very modern and vivid, and it is a surprisingly big restaurant. Service is very attentive and professional. They have a full bar with a good selection of original cocktails and plenty of beer. We ordered some adamame as an appetizer which they have three different flavors of. We ordered three rolls and some nigiri. The rolls we a little small compared to other places. They were good but not the best. My partner and I made reservations at 12:45,when we arrived,Jordon our hostess greated us warmly.She gave us several options to sit and we were impressed by her kindness and ability to make us feel welcome.Are appetizers,spicy edamame came out promptly and were delicious. Tender blackened edamame lightly crusted with Chile lime.We devoured our first appetizer in minutes.Our next dish was an eight piece spider rolls with soft shell crabs with caviar roe.The spider rolls were delightful,and we playfully fought over the last one.She ordered the sesame chicken bento box and I ordered the tempura shrimp with vegetables.The miso soup was perfectly blended with four pieces of tofu mixed with seaweed,just the right amount of salt,to whet your palette.Our bento box had all the flavors we love,the sweet,salty,umami flavors we carved.Thank you for a fabulous well rounded,multilayered experience.

My wife is Vegan and she orders their edamame, their vegi roll (not on the menu), and a cucumber roll.I get the appetizer of ribs and vegi fried rice and its a legit meal. My husband and I LOVE sushi and knew we needed to find a local spot on our vacation in Napa. We were given the recommendation to check out Eikos while we were on a wine tour at Castello Di Amorosa. We went for lunch and sat at the bar. We watched the sushi chefs while they were making sushi which was entertaining! The food was delicious and the service was exceptional!

I have been to Eiko’s a few times and it has always been great. The atmosphere looks like it wouldn’t be good but every time the service is very good, food and drinks come out quick, and everything is delicious. Highly recommended.

This place in napa was suggested by my friend. Really good service and food. Never had to as for refill on anything. Waiter was nice and took his time with me. Bathrooms amazing, the business looks amazing. And its food is perfect. Enjoyed it and will be back again. There times the wait will be long. But worth it

It was an delicious sushi dinner. The hostess was a bit....umm.. strange.We arrived 5 minutes after opening with a reservation and she said Please take a seat. I have to seat others first.... Then she frantically moved around the front of the restaurant, checking her computer several times.... But no one was waiting......After a few minutes I asked her Are you seating anyone? And she said It is terribly busy right now. Give me a minute please...... But there was no one else there!After being seated our server agreed Shes being eclectic today...The food service was great! When my husband dropped his napkin, a waiter noticed and brought a replacement before he even knew it was missing!The tempura was done perfectly...even if the batter was a bit heavy.If you order the spicy tuna roll dont eat the last piece on the end unless you want SPICY!A good dining experience and less than we expected. Two cocktails, tempura and three rolls. $88.00

I had high hopes of dining at this place, but as soon as I perused the menu, I came to the disheartening realization that I would have to empty my wallet just to enjoy a single entree. It seems unjust that I would have to shell out ten dollars for a serving of edamame or pay a hefty entree price for a mere three pieces of sushi accompanied by rice and a salad. I apologize for this negative review, but given that I earn a reasonable salary, I felt excluded from the possibility of dining here due to the exorbitant prices. In my opinion, this is an unreasonable situation.

Fun time with party of three, arrived 5:30 pm with a prior reservation, had informed them had a Birthday person within our group. Most importantly, there was no rush, sat by a window table, began with adult beverages of sake, martinis, white wine, the wine was priced higher than its quality...appetizer of tempura string beans was the bomb! Main dishes were fine, including sushi. Some what on the higher priced for what was served, but good. Nice touch was the surprise serving of three slices of cheese cakes with three spoons! While I enjoy Japanese cuisine, this was some what more designed for the American palate. I have enclosed photos featuring the dishes and environment.

Awesome sushi. Happy hour in the bar/ lounge for half priced apps. Pictured here are their delicious pork ribs. Fall off the bone, and meaty. Fresh oysters on the half shell. Dinner was some really good sushi rolls. Fresh and prepared quickly.

Found ourselves a nice place in the bar lounge. Kick back and relax. Liked this better than a typical table. But not for everyone. Menu is classic Japanese. Everything was fresh, crisp and on point. The service here was slow and sloppy. We had to remind our waiter a number of times for items he was supposed to bring (a clean mug, beverages, menus, etc…), and we even had to remind him of what we ordered. The rolls were good, but the sashimi was poorly cut. The host also hung up on us when we made our reservation, so that should’ve been our first red flag.

My wife and I planned our Napa trip months ago. One of the things we always try to do on the west coast is get seafood and sushi. We looked up sushi joints in Napa and were impressed with the reviews for this place and decided to get a reservation. We planned our entire day around this meal. When we arrived it started out good with the appetizers but quickly crashed when our sushi rolls arrived. The rice was thick and so sticky you had trouble chewing and swallowing. It didn’t have that typical sushi rice taste (sushi vinegar). I looked behind the counter and saw one of those machines that supermarkets use to make sushi. The kind that prints out the rice in to the seaweed. It’s a shame because the fish was good and the sauces were solid. If you don’t care about quality and just want a snack, check this place out. If you like quality seafood or sushi, I definitely recommend going somewhere else!I will say the staff were friendly. I have no complaints about their professionalism.Thank you!

I travel to Napa from Erie, PA about every 3-4 months and Eiko’s is always a must every time I’m there! Definitely one of my favorite sushi place that I have gone to throughout my travels. The food is always amazing, great quality and the staff is usually always very friendly and helpful. I do recommend making a reservation.

I hate to write a bad review because the food is very good but the service has a lot to be desired. The last 3 times I went there there were hiccups. I understand theres a labor shortage but the management is to blame. The first time I ordered to go. I called in the order because I didnt want a doordash or grubhub to take a %. I ordered and was told 30 minutes. I showed up and somehow they lost my order. Oops, things happen. Next time it was dine in. After the two hostesses got finished talking without acknowledging is (about 5 minutes) they said our table for 4 would be 30 minutes. Okay, even though half the tables were empty (again, labor shortage) we waited. Then the hostess sat 2 other parties of 4 before us and they cam after us. I had to ask :what about us She apologized and said she didnt see us. We were sitting directly in front of her. Our server that was lovely kept having to apologize for the food coming out so slowly and the wrong order. Soup was the last course somehow? So today is the final straw, three strikes your out! I called, again @ 3:42 PM so a third party doesnt get a cut of their profits. I told the woman that I had an order to go. I heard the other line ringing and she asked if she could put me on hold.....Sure, no problem. 5 minutes later she came back and said, we dont open till 4:00, can you call back then? Its 3:47 mind you. My reply was, No, Ill call another restaurant that appreciates my business and hung up. Im in the service industry and wouldnt consider offering this non service or allow my employees the same.

Our party of 4 arrived without a reservation 15 minutes before the kitchen was closing and we were treated like welcomed guests! Kayla was our server and she was fun and vivacious and memorized our entire order which was impressive. The vibe in the whole restaurant was social and jovial and the bartender stopped by to joke with us and the bus boy was extremely attentive and cleared dishes constantly. The food was fantastic - we stuck to sushi and rolls and ordered beer and sake and have no complaints about our entire experience!

Happened to be in Napa and asked someone at a bank to recommend a restaurant. They mentioned Eikos. They have an extensive menu. We went for lunch and both had the bento box. my wife got the new York strip steak bento which included 2 pieces of California roll and a pork gyoza. She ordered the steak rare and it was cooked perfectly. The ginger teriyaki sauce was very tasty. I got the vegetable tempura which came with 2 pieces of a vegetable roll and extra veggies to substitute for the pork gyoza. The veggies included mushrooms and a Chile. Everything was delicious.

My friend and I waited for over an hour to dine and it was with it! They were fully booked for dinner, so we were seated in the lounge and was given the happy hour menu. We had plum wine, sweet but sneaks up on you later! I had the spicy tuna and the California rolls, sixteen in total and delicious! Very fresh, great presentation. My friend had the shrimp tempura. It was a really ample portion of prawns and vegetables, so much so that she brought some home. There was also a side order of sticky white rice. Prices were very reasonable for the portions served. The atmosphere was great. Wait staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Since we were seated in the lounge area near the bar there was a lot of activity and great music. This is a great place to either dine quietly inside, outside, or with more of a party atmosphere and enjoy great sushi! You wont be disappointed!

I always resisted the urge to have sushi in Napa given youre in farm country and youre better off with some local produce and meat. However I caved yesterday and decided to give it a go. The table we were offered wasnt very clean, and the sticky menus with all kinds of sauce on them were disappointing to say the least. We were offered a dessert menu before we received our drinks, but our waitress apologized for that mistake, and its fine, the intention isnt to criticize but to review. I cant get past the disappointment of the sticky and dirty menu however. The sashimi itself was fresh, and tasted great. The servings were generous, and the quality was good. I was quite happy with the choice ultimately, but some fine details require attention, and it will become a much nicer place. I can recommend it if youre after great and fresh sashimi/sushi/rolls in the area.

The only reason Im not giving them 5 stars is because of the service when we arrived. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. However, the waiter took a while to come and get our simple drink orders and we only ordered wine and sake so it wasnt anything complicated. It took so long for it to come out, and not even water in the meantime that when the manager was doing the rounds he asked us how everything was and we told him it had been at least 15 minutes and he hasnt brought our drinks let alone take our order. The server was pretty snippy after that. It isnt our fault you took so long! But as the night progressed he got a bit nicer. Aside from that I have no complaints! The food was amazing!!! The portions were large and well priced. We ended up having a great time after the long delay snafu in the beginning. Aside from that, they are five stars!!

Walked in solo. Host checked availability at bar and after clearing some space was able to seat me very quickly and kindly. Took about 15 minutes to be talked to for the first time. I ordered a sapporo on tap, blackened edamame, 1 orders of wagyu nigiri, and one Ricky ricardo on vacation. Was served the beer quickly, but the food took about 15 minutes for edamame and 25 minutes for roll and nagiri. A little long but they werent crazy busy. Just normal busy. Good flavor in the sauce but the quality of the fish and seafood in the roll is just not on par with what Im used to. Tuna felt flavorless and the shrimp in the center, cold and lifeless. I didnt tell them to not bring everything at once but i didnt tell them to. Wagyu should be served and eaten immediately. So I ordered another round to eat it while just seared. They were perfect. The chili on top is mild and its a beautiful ratio of meat to rice. Ultimately lack luster service with medium plus food and a dire need for attention to fish quality and source. Relatively cheap for Napa too. Cheers!

Granted, we made this reservation a month ago and he is the manager. Long story short, he told us our business was no need to his restaurant so we left. Fantastic sushi and sushimi! The exterior patio is lovely with firetables and several heat lamps to enjoy a wonderful meal on a chilly Napa evening. Favorite roll was the Sanchez, miss soup is delicious and fried gyōza was spectacular. We Celebrated my sons 16th and the staff was absolutely wonderful, welcoming and very attentive. The birthday mochi was a thoughtful touch. We will be back for sure !

Arrive 8:44. “We close at 9. You need to order as soon as you sit.” Next people come in behind us: “Do you have a reservation?” We offered to sit at the bar and it took 7 min to seat us there. Then we sat and had to wait another 5 min before anyone came to drink us up and take our order. If your last seating is at 9, don’t admonish people for walking in to sit at 8:44. Waiter not very friendly or informative - strictly business. Food was ok but that initial first impression was horrendous and hard to overcome.

Walked up and requested table for 2 outside. Hostess tells me “5 minutes”. We wait 10. I go back in. Another hostess tells me we aren’t in the system. I point to the first one and tell her to check with her. First hostess says “ your table is being cleaned and it’ll be 5 minutes”. We wait. 10 minute slater I ask what’s going on? She tells me “ oh, sorry. You don’t have a reservation. It’s now a 40 minute wait”. Never coming back.

I always liked this place. From the first time here, to the last time here. This time around had their nitrogen mojito drink. My son was amazed by the whole process. Even got a taste of the little lime dippin dot before it got the alcohol bath. Dinner was so damn good we ordered another roll for dessert hahaaha.

Great sushi spot to check out if youre in downtown Napa! Grab a reservation if youre going on a weekend at peak dinner hour. I ordered the tuna pokee roll and the healthy fries (green bean fries) appetizer, and both were excellent!

We couldn’t agree more.We saw Allison yelling at employees and being rude to customers.We also witnessed her pass over a couple of African American descent for. White couple. We didnt make a reservation on a Saturday night and sat in the bar. Didnt seem to matter, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Everyone is friendly and very accommodating. Will definitely go again, might make a reservation the next time.

We had several different rolls. Most of the fish was warm, not room temp...warm, and the sticky rice was decidedly not sticky.Our waiter clearly had better things to do than wait on us as they were annoyed from start to finish. All in all this was pretty disappointing.

I like Eiko’s, but yesterday we had a couple of dishes that were far from perfect. The rolls were very good but the edamame was over cooked and the calamari was hard and chewy. I told the waitress when she asked, but they didn’t do anything about it. That just shows that they don’t care... it’s a shame.

My favorite sushi place in Napa. After trying their blackened edamame, I can’t have edamame any other way. It’s the best!! Try the Ricky Ricardo on Vacation roll! Or the Napa Valley Roll!! I also love the Hamachi BonBons. Everything is so fresh and delicious, and the staff is always welcoming and helpful. Hands down one of my absolute favorite spots to eat in Napa.

The menu claimed that the California Roll was filled with snow crab, but when we got them it was filled only imitation crab. The taste of the roll itself was average, and we were disappointed about the snow crab that we thought e were getting.Also, the price for the California Roll on the togo menu is lower than what is on their store menu. I was charged extra due to the mismatched pricing on those menus and was never informed of that until I asked.Dishonest business practices at this place.

This is a solid place given it nicely fits between the highest and lowest of price and quality points; it leans higher, but not as high as the market goes, which is good. The seafood is of good quality with a lot of offerings. The one detractor (for me specifically) is a lot of rolls with tempura or eel sauce, but everything is made to order so not a big deal. If your visiting the area, you may want to try other paces, but if you live here, this is the spot.

First time dining @ Eikos and we enjoyed it. We didnt have dinner reservations and probably waited 10 mins for a table.We ordered the bento box, seafood & vegetable tempura, chicken teriyaki and 1 of their signature sushi rolls the New Zealand, which has Maguro, Freshwater Eel, Topped with Avocado, Daikon Sprouts, and Eel Sauce.The table service was quick and the waiters were very helpful since this was our first time here. If were ever in the neighborhood we would visit again.

While on vacation, a friend recommended we check out Eikos for lunch. It was such a pleasant surprise! Im not a fan of Japanese food (I dont care for spicy or sweet, and most Japanese cuisine is either, and/or both) but this place had me saying Wow!. Their fried calamari with spicy aoili (aka: calamari sauce) was the best Ive ever had. Light battered, extremely flavorful and the sauce was delicious. My husband has had lots of sushi, and he said the Tsunami roll was superb (Ill have to take his word, I dont eat sushi). I got the Duck Soup with Ramen noodles, soft boiled egg, and duck meatballs. Very delicious! Service was EXCELLENT. We never needed to ask for anything, the wait staff alwaya had our drinks filled, plates removed, etc..They also had a great selection of unique cocktails that we unfortunately we didnt get to try because we were driving home right after. We would definitely go back.

Ordered three dishes: Edamame, Cucumber Roll and Spicy As Roll. The edamame and cucumber were done simply in good order. The Spicy As was more interesting, nice Tuna but the spicy part evaded me. Service was reasonable. The bill was $33 for above and a can of cider. It is in downtown Napa.

They were no tables available when we first got there. So we were offered to sit on the patio where we had ONE drink while waited for our table. We waited over 1 1/2 hs. and were NEVER offered anything else. We spoke and wait to the staff 2 times about our wait. I finally got tired after almost 2 hours and brought us back to the front (reception area) we were tod nothing was available BUT while we stood there 2 parties that just walked in there and the receptionist asked to the other people how many in their party, and were immediately seated. After this happened 2 times I walked out but my daughter who had her heart set on eating there cried. We went back in and I complained and was told others before us had reservations. This was not so because I HEARD THEM BEING ASKED AS THEY ARRIVED HOW MANY IN THEIR PARTY and then they were seated. They hostesses LIED to us. After waiting another 15 minutes, we were seated. The hostess threw the menus at us saying: here, here, here she did not do this to my young child though. We ordered our food but were NEVER offered anything to drink. Our food was served but NEVER did a server come back to us asking how we were doing or if we needed anything. My husband left after a few bites of food as he felt ill. My daughter in law and I, had a taste of his food which was EXTREMELY salty. My daughter in law ended up running to the restroom feeling ill herself. When she returned, she noted that there, was not paper towels or toilet paper available in the restroom. We then decided to leave and my daughter in law was so disappointed and I feelling we felt iut food and service was a disaster and not worthy. Yes, we walked out without paying. WHY????? Terrible service, food, disrespect, discriminatory. Why? Because we werent to ghier standards?? I wore a tye dyed tshirt, my husband was unshaven and we didnt fit in???.... Shame on you EIKOS for employing such snobs. You know nothing about us and to have been trays the way we were....was unsatisfactory. And that JAPANESE restaurant plays music by The Beatles and serves Mexican ceviche that can be bought at the local store for $8.... Get real.... Who are the real snobs just because you are in Napa????... BTW, the menu outside says different prices, cheaper, than the real menu inside.

Really good japanese fare. From tempura bean fries to sushi rolls, it was a great experience. They also have some interesting Liquid Nitrogen cocktails which are very interesting. I ordered the Mojito and they made it at the table.The servers were also nice and helped us pick some great options like the Vegas Roll, Hot Sanchez, Hot Mama to name a few.

Its well worth a DRIVE INTO SF for some FRESH, SERIOUS Japanese cuisine, where you get larger sushi/sashimi portions at a much more reasonable price.Eikos is definitely a tourist restaurant with the usual high tourist price; your typical example of a tourist trap restaurant.I miss living in SF. So many excellent & authentic neighborhood Japanese, Chinese & other Asian restaurants to enjoy; not to forget the other many other foreign cuisines you can enjoy when visiting SF.Eikos Sushi? What an embarrassing experience, after recommending Eikos for Sushi while my Husband, 4 friends and myself waited for our Private wine tasting at John Anthony tasting room down the street. I had been to Eikos several times before and had great experiences, but this new Manager Allison Hallum was a total Horror!!! As a Personal Chef for numerous Celebrities and former Restaurant Owner, I could not Believe the Treatment we received Saturday evening... Her so called General Manager Title screams of HELP ME, I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO MANAGE A RESTAURANT!!!, HELP, I NEED CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS !!! . This woman is doing Downtown Napa a Great Disservice by treating New and Old Customers like crap. The Audacity and Foul Attitude she exhibited Saturday was unacceptable and if she thinks that turning down a dinner ticket for six people is ok, she is so disillusioned. The Potentiality of others hearing, witnessing and or experiencing this type of put off will eventually Close the Door to Eikos... But if her Dad doesnt mind as she so boldly boasted, I guess she can just go on and continue to act an Ass. Trust, there are many Restaurants in Napa that would Love to get the Business...
