Daughter and I stopped by for lunch. Mobile ordered ahead of time. Walked over and it was ready for pickup. We ate inside. Clean inside, staff is friendly. We had the pesto chicken sandwhich.EDIT: I returned today for lunch. Used my rewards to get my 1/2 chicken pesto sandwhich. It was good and like before, staff was nice and helpful. Brought the sandwhich to my table when it was ready. I was there around 10am, not busy with plenty of seating.

Honestly the food I had was good, the service gave us the wrong order when we first got there, but the hard part is, I really love garden liquor and deli for sandwiches just across the street. Still, I cant really fault it other than being close to a place I prefer, the atmosphere wasnt really my taste but they clearly put effort into making I look interesting and keeping it clean

Our server, Greg, was super friendly and helpful as he always is when we visit. This man really enhances the customer experience, and Erik’s DeliCafe is lucky to have such a great employee. Atmosphere for a deli is really nice...The gentleman who served us helped with suggestions, made us a nice dinner, and was very courteous when he brought it to the tableOne drawback is they dont have beer.I also have to say...I love the fact that they are a very large supporter of the local Parkinsons Disease support group EasePD.Thank You Eriks...you guys rock!

I love Eriks Deli so decided to hop in here after a doctors appointment. Im not sure if I just came in on a bad day, but the woman running the counter when I came in on 8/23 for lunch was quite rude in their demeanor towards everyone. Like they didnt want to be there at all. Seems like that may be their norm since no nametag and logged into the register as someone else entirely so you cant put a name to the complaint.The food, while tasting good, was subpar compared to the Scotts Valley location. The only thing this location had going for it was the nice amount of windows for natural light.Went to the Scotts Valley location on 8/24, and ordered the same thing. The veggies were much fresher, the pickle was actually a pickle spear and not an 8th of inch pickle skin and the service was nicer.

Ordered a sandwich and salad. The sandwich was good ingredients are fresh. The main problem was both of my sandwich and salad were missing quite a few ingredients I had requested. I chose to make my own sandwich with ingredients I had chosen but certain ingredients I requested were not on my sandwich. After getting the receipts sure enough they were on there but not on my sandwich. The salad was good but half the ingredients listed were missing as well. I went and a busy time so I will give them the benefit of the doubt staff was friendly and I will try one more time.

Came by on our way back from North California. Great sandwich spot. They have cold and warm sandwiches with chicken, roast beef among others. Great food and great value. The sandwiches with sprouts were great. Great customer service as well. Will come again when we head to San Frans.

When I called in to order I was placed on hold which is fine but the person who picked up and took my order was very rude. My sandwich (raging bull) seemed like it was all slopped together and there were shredded carrots thrown in which should not have been there. It was over heated and by the time I got back to work and ate it, it was cold and hard. I think it is under different management now and I will not go back.

I rarely write negative reviews, but i have to say something...Unfriendly staff bordering on rude. Ordered clam chowder in a bread bowl and got it in a cup, but was charged for the bread bowl. Ordered online with a good tip for negative overall service. ☹️ I gave 2 stars because the quality of the food was good, but will not be going back.

Great food. Got a cup of butternut squash soup and a dub club. The sandwich came with a nice pile of sprouts on it as well as the turkey, ham, cheddar cheese, avocado, and bacon. Both were delicious and I really liked the cute decor of the place. This was my first time going to Eriks and Im definitely a convert now

I came into this restaurant at 5 pm on Monday, 12/6, intending to purchase over $25 food. The order taker, a rude early 20s white guy, who refused to give me his name, came up with his mask barely covering his upper lip. I asked him several times to put his mask on properly to protect us both and to comply with law. He refused, arguing he was a healthy individual, had been vaccinated, he flat out refused, dismissed me saying he had better things to do, including taking out the trash.I have never been treated rudely at this restaurant before, though I have been here often snd spent a lot of money here.P.S. He’s also the guy preparing your food!!Is this acceptable to management????Second p.s. in case anyone believed management was the least bit concerned except about a bad review describing them violating the law...nope, no one has contacted me to follow up.

Sandwiches are pretty good here. Last week visit Eriks Deli and had one of my favorites the Raging Bull. It wasnt that good. The bread seemed rubbery and not enough Chiles and way too many sprouts. I love sprouts but the whole sandwich seemed like that was all that was in there.I sure Miss the Eriks down town, the made a Great Sandwich Everytime. Hope the relocate soon....

The worst breakfast Ive had since Ive been in Santa Cruz. I got a clam chowder bread bowl. It consisted of a bout 5 spoonfuls of super blande clam chowder. Also dont disappoint yourself and leave a tip because youre going to have to get up get, your own water, your own spoon, your own butter knife and your own salt and pepper, to make the food taste like something. But hey, I will say the jalapeno potato chips were pretty tasty.

I mostly go to the capitola location since it is next door to my office, but I frequently visit Scotts valley, downtown, and Santa Cruz locations as well, and they are all consistent.The salads are made fresh with many ingredients to choose from, I always give very specific instructions when I have mine made, and they do a great job. Made to order sandwiches are always good, again with fresh and natural ingredients. I wish they had sliced pickles because i love pickles but they do have pickle spears. If you order to est in they will give you your drink in a Mason jar but order to go comes in a paper cup.The Scotts valley location is really cool with all of the 1800s wild west decorations, and all the other locations have cool decoration too but not as much.Good place to go and support local business.

Passing by, the place looked interesting. Walked in, no host, no waitstaff greeted us. Went to the front, looked around, somebody in the kitchen looked out, still no one came out. Then we started to notice the place was greasy, dirty, and smelled like rotten vegetables. Add that to the generally depressing atmosphere, and we left. No idea what the food was like, didnt want to find out.

Rarely do I see anyone going above and beyond in the workplace. But Adolfo tonight did so, when a simple accidental overlook of an online order happened. Never an issue to me, but Adolfo made it right and got the order going quicker than I could say thank you, ensured that it was made well and with care. Horrible deli. The sandwich had very little meat but a ton of bean sprouts. The avocado was mush and dominates the entire plate. This place is run by bean counters jumping over dollars to save pennies. The management team should consider the value of repeat customers. I will not be one.

Ive lived in Santa Cruz for 12 years and have never been to Erics on Soquel. My husband just took me there for lunch and I was excited to try it. The food was good and the portions were large, but I will never set fit in this restaurant again. From the time we sat down we were bombarded by fruit flies. I have never seen so many in my life! We tried to move tables and even tried outside but nothing helped. They we crawling all over our food to the point where we couldnt even finish it. Im still so grossed out!
