Far East Joint in West Covina

I’m so glad we tried this unique little place! Everything on the menu is delicious. The joint fried rice is basically kimchi fried rice (minus the kimchi) with bulgogi, which I’d highly recommend. The fries are tasty and so are the deserts. When we went, they weren’t very busy considering it was the weekend, so go out and support this place!

Great place for a delicious and totally original bite! Will certainly go back. It wasn’t busy at all, which surprises me because it seems like the kind of place that would be packed on a Saturday night. Loved the vibe, loved the service!

Consistently good quality food with a bang for the buck. The spam sliders are perfectly cooked, wings are crisp and not greasy, fries are seasoned evenly! My husband and I have only ordered delivery and have never had a single complaint. Definitely a new favorite!

Ordered Joint Burrito with KBBQ beef, kimchi, spring onion, cheese, and rice. Also tried their Spicy Salt Calamari and Garlic Fries.Pros: casual atmosphere and good portion size for the burrito and fries. drinks are self serve. the burrito is tasty and tastes better with its complimentary sauce. fries have good flavor but a bit overcooked.Cons: their salad is bland, calamari packs a dry heat (smoked paprika and habanero), food arrived a bit slow. prices are alright.

Enjoyed our wings alot. Service was with a real smile. That is always appreciated these days. A casual dinning atmosphere but we were still approached and asked if we needed anything. Would come back again.

My brother said he wanted to try a place hes been wanting to go to called far east joint and after 10-18min possibly 20 stopped counting after 12 when my brother said we should get a refund and go get wingstop but cause there was only 1 person who was there before us and had just ordered a burger i thought it would be faster but she had barely got it 2min before our food was done but 5min after or more later we finally got our food and I decided to check my stuff cause after all that wait I was expecting something that looked good and I got a small amount of fries not what i expected after seeing the other persons order and my fries were cold and stale tasting they were just gross but I took them anyway cause another minute and I would have lost my temp the joint burger was great tho wasnt worth $14 though after that wait and bad fries 😅 hopefully next time its better but I tried them before leaving cause my order was to go and they were cold so thats how its served at the place cold fries also my brothers joint burrito was cold idk how they messed that one up

The food is really really good. I tried them once before way way before my elite years and I thought he flavors were too sweet and didn’t connect with my Korean palate which tends to lean way over on the spicy side. They were being hyped quite a bit back then too when they just opened so maybe my expectations were on the high side. On this trip, the sweet notes are well balanced with the savory side and hit the spot right away and made me think why didn’t I give this place another try? I tried the Joint fried rice and spicy salt calamari. The fried rice has bulgogi which is supposed to be a little sweet and as far as I can tell, was the only sweetness in the dish which had a fried egg and scallions and added to the savory side. My fave today was the spicy salty calamari though. Who doesn’t love anything fried, but when it has a light crispy batter that’s full of flavor, it’s just so much better. The dipping sauce was on the sweet side as well, but nothing a little (or a lot) of sriracha can’t fix :( Spicy makes the beer taste better too.I’ll have to make the trip back for some wings that looked pretty awesome. Maybe with a hot link or two.

Awesome wings, carne asada fries were good, worth a trip. No healthy options really but go and grab a Sapporo.
