The restaurant is located just a couple blocks from the ocean. Great location! The interior is rustic and charming, with reclaimed wood finishes throughout. I really liked the atmosphere. The sushi is delicious, with premium cuts of fish and numerous creative rolls. Each plate was beautifully arranged. The service was also excellent, with the waitstaff being knowledgeable and attentive.

We had a date on Sunday evening. It was such a right choice for us to go to Manhattan beach & have dinner. We planned to go to Sugarfish but changed our mind in the last minute.The service & atmosphere is nice. Asian style, they take care abt their clients. The food is good & affordable. The seasoning is a lil bit plain. If you have tried Japanese food before, the flavor is Japanese. But if not, you should try. I love fresh sashimi but my bf, he liked fried chicken & others. So the bill is $73. I think it’s affordable in this nice restaurant & in Manhattan beach.

I recently dined at Fusion Sushi, which is typically our go-to casual spot for family and friends. The food is usually quite good, with a wide variety of fresh sushi. However, I must admit that the service leaves much to be desired. The staff tends to be inattentive and unresponsive. During our recent dinner with friends and children, we encountered a rather unpleasant incident when one of the sushi rolls had a sizable black hair inside. Fortunately, my daughter noticed it before taking a bite.We promptly informed our server about this unappetizing discovery, but to our disappointment, there was no response or apology from their end. Even more surprising, they failed to remove the item from the final bill.In days when there is such a competition in the restaurant market, it is foolish to go back to a place that does not value or respect regular customers. sad. but we will not return to this place again

The sushi did not disappoint!!🍣🍤🦀 We got in at the perfect time for dinner during a busy Holiday weekend! Only 1 small criticism, we had ordered 1 last sushi roll and it never came, even after we asked about it 30 minutes later....after 40 minutes we just had them cancel it, it was clear they got slammed and we were full anyway 😅But overall really good service and delicious food!

We used to frequent this restaurant, but our last visit was dreadful. A huge cockroach ran across the floor, and we approached manager Dan. However, instead of an apology, we encountered rudeness. This is absolutely unacceptable, and I feel like I was just deceived. Instead of creating a safe and hygienic atmosphere for guests, the restaurant violated all standards. This is entirely unacceptable, and I feel that I and my children were put in danger. I will never go back there, and I urge everyone to avoid this place!

I give five stars to the food. I give five stars to the guy working there, Delphino, he is the most amazing person there and he was very helpful doing the job our waitress should have been doing. Service of our waitress would gain only ** from me. But again, food is great. Design of the place is awesome too. Overall would definitely recommend this place. And the restrooms, very importantly, clean and well designed.

We were customers of this restaurant and we unfortunately met a huge cockroach, which was running around our table.Moreover there was a huge piece of hair in one of our meals. Thats really disappointing and disgusting.My kid was scared and we didnt get any customer service support.Nobody even said sorry to usAwful place with awful food.Dont go there!

I dined here on 7/29 with a party of 7. 4 of the 7 of us (from different households) came down with food poisoning within 48 hours. We were able to trace it back to a handful of rolls. The restuarant did absolutely nothing to rectify our concerns. We were forced to call the health dept who did an investigation and fined them. Do NOT eat here. It is unsanitary.

It was pretty good. Service was very attentive. They have a good variety of food. From bento boxes, to sushi and even ramen. We got 2 rolls which were freshly made. This is the first time I see such thick rolls. Thankfully it had a fair ratio of rice - (fillings and toppings) only con was that they were slightly harder to eat due to its size. Good location and they have an outside area.

I’m immunocompromised due to a kidney transplant and I’ve been told by my doctor it’s ok to eat sushi at reputable places. I haven’t found a place since RA shut down at del amo they knew me knew my situation. Let me tell you I found my new spot thanks to a friend! It’s so fresh I was able to make adjustments like no onions inside the roll because it’s made on the spot! I had the deja vu roll with no onions or jalapeños and shrimp tempura roll . Both were astoundingly delicious! Price point was a little high we ordered 3 things and total was over $50 but for sushi that isn’t gonna make me sick it’s worth paying for! I will definitely be back! Service was great everyone was nice and friendly .

My husband and I were invited to a surprise party at Fusion Sushi. They have a VERY SMALL back room where they host parties. Its all the way in the back of the restaurant and theres karaoke tvs and a sound system. That room, should technically and comfortably ONLY hold 25 people. Instead they section it off and accommodate 3 parties (at the same time). There was a party of 12, 17, and 22 all in this VERY small room, UNCOMFORTABLE. My butt had to brush against the back of a stranger in order to move around. It was SUPER LOUD (with conversations and raunchy rap music). The hostess of our bday celebration asked if we(17) could be moved out to the main area (after 40 mins), they kindly obliged. Aaah nice a peaceful out there. So, go in and check out the room before you book. The food was ok, IF YOURE NOT HEALTH CONSCIOUS. Lots of sauces spread over the sushi and most are full of imitation crab stuffed inside. Now, remember I said, this was a party and the hostess ordered for us. I was pretty hungry so I ate it. It was good, but because I do my best to cut calories, I felt guilty. One final suggestion to the staff, you should changed that rap music, some of the language can be very offensive and there were young kids with their parents. It was blaring in the waiting area.

I came for a nice sushi feast with my husband. We really enjoyed the food. Sushi was delicious and fresh. We liked our Chef who was preparing in front of us.He was fast, flexible and friendly.Even though they were short on staff, customer service was great, too. This place is very good. The fish is fresh, the rolls are creative and the bussers are amazing. The bussers watch everything and do refills and clear empty dishes right away. The waitress is virtually non existence except for the order, food and check. I hope the waitress shared the tip, the bus guys deserve it more. The food comes out very quick and nicely presented. It highly recommend this place.

One of the best sushi places Ive ever been to (and Ive been to a lot), and this place is affordable. Their rolls were super fresh, very large (the Godzilla Roll that I ordered was essentially 2-in-1 rolls), and they have a wide selection of interesting menu items (not just your everyday California rolls or spicy tuna rolls, etc. and not just limited to sushi and rolls). Their service is also commendable. The appetizer that I ordered took a while to come out so I cancelled it, but they still gave it to us on the house (which made an already delicious dish taste even better)! I highly recommend this place and would definitely go back.

Have been here two years running...last year I had an AMAZING experience, with unbelievable food! This past summer I had a trip with a couple teenagers and 8 or so adults, so we stopped in with our reservations made. The back room that accommodated our group, had two younger adult couples celebrating birthdays in it. We were looking over the menu, when the music was being turned up manually by the two couples, so loud we couldnt hear each other talk...with music and lyrics that werent suitable for younger people. We asked several times to either be moved or if they could turn down the music, to which we were basically told that their dollar was the same as ours. They lost 11 peoples money that night over a couple rude and over served people.

We ordered a lychee sake to start. Our waitress came back and said they ran out. No problem. For my dinner, I ordered a salmon blue crab (which was pretty good) and protein salmon. She came back and said sorry we ran out of protein salmon. Seriously?! but okay. Told her to give me a few minutes to look at the menu again but she never came back. Then I saw the hostess and asked if I can order from her. I got my soup immediately. My BF food slowly came out but mine never did. The waitress barely checked on us when she finally did we told her that I had ordered the bento box. If they didnt put it in then i would like to cancel. Of course she came back and said it was never put in and gave us the check. Another table didnt get all their food either... I was a waitress myself so I get how hectic things can be but she didnt seem to care whether we got our food or not. All in all, it was such a terrible service.

My experience was 5 star. I ordered a Hawaiian salad and all the ingredients were fresh and portion pretty generous. It was with complimentary edemame and miso soup. I just ate here last night, around 8PM. I woke up in the middle of the night with food poisoning. Its 2PM now, and I still cant hold anything down - along with stomach cramping. I havent felt cramps like this since the birth of my son 9 years ago..... I do not recommend eating here. The Service wasnt great. Most servers were nice except for Angela. We tried ordering from anyone but her because she was so rude! If I remember your name, thats bad.... I usually ONLY eat Sushi from trusted places, and when my friend suggested this, I figured she knew something I didnt. Needless to say I wont be going back. And one last thing - I just called to report this to the Manager and whoever picked up the phone rudely told me - Manager on vacation, no manager right now and hung up on me. I couldnt believe it!

I went to this place today with my grandma. We’ve experienced the worst service ever around Manhattan beach. The waitress was so impudent irresposible on taking orders. Because my grandma was sick i tried to explain all the things she cannot eat but at the end they made the food as usual. I was so shocked and asked them to make it again. Unfortunately they failed again and didn’t even wanted to listen why she can’t eat that food.I’M 100% SURE THAT THERE ARE SO MANY GOOD SUSHI PLACES AT MANHATTAN BEACH! Went here to treat my daughter and mother to lunch. Was overcharged on Both meals. The miso soup tasted old. The salad had a fishy dressing. The fish had a sickly sweet flavour. The rice on the sushi tasted like some rolls were premade and Not fresh. I still left a nice tip because its not the waiters fault if the kitchen isnt up to par. Plenty of metered parking in underground lot. Staff is welcoming and alway accommodating. Im on a new plant based lifestyle program and they went out of their way to make the dishes I ordered to my specifications. Food was fresh and delicious. It was packed with people and the food arrived quickly. Gave us a beautiful yellowtail collar but I couldnt eat it and we passed it to others to try. It was a great evening.

Why is this place highly rated. If you drink a lot, and cant discern between Korean and Japanese sushi perhaps. So, the fish isnt fresh, the kitchen over seasons and overlooks everything. The salad was overdressed and slushy. The rice was overseasoned with vinegar. The service was calculated and cold. But hey it has a full bar, and you can get loud and crrazy with your peeps. Its a dance club...I mean a sports bar...I mean a sushi restaurant! Maybe its a bit of all three mixed into a fairly large space that provides you various options of seating styles. There is outside seating with a street view, an actual full bar with leather couches, the standard dining area and accompanying sushi bar, as well as the party and private rooms in the back. For some reason there is a Google quote stating there is an ocean view from Fusion. There is not.A large menu ranges from king sized rolls of various creations to a full kitchen assortment. Rolls tend to be stronger than sashimi, but overall the quality is good. Prepare for sauce! Fusion Sushi at this location tends to go heavy on their sauce.Evenings, especially on weekends, are loud. Music is pumping throughout, and when you walk in to the restaurant you pass through the bar section. Prepare yourself for laser lights (yes, really), big TVs with sports on them, and a gaggle of heavily cologned, well coiffed people. Pass through this and youll get to the restaurant - which is just as loud - but dense with couples on dates, families out for a fairly priced sushi, and even the occasional celeb or sports figure.The wait staff are friendly, the take out is always correct and fresh, and you can get your drink on if you so desire!

The zen roll put me in a state of euphoria, were talking complete blissfulness beyond comprehension. Kevin, the manager, took great care in his work and my experience. A perfect habitat for anyone. I see familys, couples, and young professionals all enjoing themselves. The music is unpredictable and lively while the staff is very kind and attentative. This is one of Manhattan beaches hidden emeralds. They have a private room for parties that offers up sake fueled karaoke. A truly unique restaurant experience.
