2023-09-30 04:51:18I’ve had my share of rice balls. And, this place makes them strangely! They give you a separate sheet of roasted seaweed, which is normally wrapped around the rice ball at other places. Here, you have to wrap it yourself. I didn’t like the fact that it was “fussy” to eat it, and I found the beef to be too salty! They really should improve their packaging, too, as the plastic wrap didn’t seem appropriate for hot food.

2022-04-01 00:22:54Wow, the rice balls are incredibly delicious! The beef one was by far my favorite one. Rich in flavor. Spicy shrimp was second best and I’d probably substitute the crab meat for a different flavor next time. 10/10Cheap and well packaged. Loved the salted seaweed.

2022-07-02 07:17:58Tasty affordable rice balls with generous amounts of various Japanese and Korean fillings! This place is so good its literally always my first stop when I drive in from Sacramento. My favorites are spicy shrimp, beef bulgogi, unagi (eel), spicy pork and kim chee. I love that the rice balls are individually wrapped and labeled and the nori (seaweed) to wrap them in is packaged separately. I love that its Korean nori too.Great for takeout, travels well, fast friendly service. To go orders only. If you cant find parking out front there is a parking structure just around the corner that gives you free parking for the first 90 minutes.

2023-07-18 02:03:30The rice balls, are basically like musubis. I ordered the kimchi, curry chicken, and unagi. My fave was the curry chicken!

2023-08-31 11:08:27Love the food here, especially the bulgogi ! The cashier not so much, ordered well over $75 worth of food and asked for some spicy mayo. She gave me 1. Now we all know the ratio of dip to bite has to be right, so I asked if I can get another since it’s a large family sized meal. She looked at me and angrily said “I’m not just going to give it to you I have to charge you ” lady, that’s fine, but now people are staring at me like I can’t pay for a 45 cent spicy mayo. I said no problem and purchased 1 and gave her 10$ bill to and said keep the rest. Food is great though!

2023-02-28 08:39:18The onigiri rice balls at Gam Tu Bop are on point. The rice is nicely packed without being too compacted, the fillings are delicious and generous, and I LOVE that the seaweed is packed separately from the rice balls so that when youre ready to eat, it is crispy! The service is quick and the onigiri are very reasonably priced. There is no indoor dining/tables available for you to sit and eat your onigiri at, but thats all good with me as its the perfect food to take to go. This is a great stop if you want some fast cheap eats to take on the go!

2023-07-19 13:54:17Do not come here expecting good or even subpar customer service; the staff here seem to hate every person that walks in the door as if we are bothering them! Hilarious! Nonetheless the food is really good and the prices are decent but it sucks they no longer offer combo meals and charge for sauces/condiments.

2018-05-25 11:33:23So delicious, so cheap! Truly a gem. I’ve been here several times, and have never been disappointed with the rice balls or the service. Get the spicy shrimp! Three rice balls are really filling, though two rice balls are usually enough.

2019-11-05 21:15:41Wow! A great find in a huge row of food available. This is more of a quick fix shop. I highly recommend the shrimp & beef onigiri (rice ball). The salmon is overcooked and underwhelming. The tamago (egg) is okay.
