I have come to get lunch for the office here a few times, and my Go To is the chicken bowl with avocado. I have tried their beef, pork, and chicken. Id recommend the chicken over the other protein choices. Not that they are bad, the chicken is just that much better. Its best to call ahead if you can get through. Lunch is super busy and hard to get through. Its worth the try, though. Give it a shot!

I love the food In this place, great portions and good taste, but the best thing is their staff, specifically Francisco.I had left my wallet on the chair where I was sitting and left, didn’t notice until the next day.Fortunately Francisco found my wallet, not only did he keep it safe but he went out of his way to bring it all the way to my house.I’m Happy to know that honest and kind people still exist in this world.Thanks for your kindness and honesty Francisco, you definitely saved me from a huge headache.

Love the teriyaki chicken salad with avocado. Its so worth it and tastes amazing. This place never disappoints. The chicken and beef bowls are amazing. The shrimp is good. And the burgers are fantastic. The fried jalapenos are great addition to your meal.

So far so good. Ive been here three to four times already and it doesnt disappoint. The go too is the combo bowl with chicken and shrimp, you can always choose to get another order of shrimp to add to your bowl or the dumplings. Ive also had the burgers here and theyre pretty good, but Ive never had the fries.

Like a Yoshinoya or Waba grill, but with better quality ingredients. We would always get a couple pork bowls, occasionally a chicken bowl, and steamed veggies. Got a burger once and it was good. Great portions on everything, great prices. Service isnt outstanding, but theyre always super busy. Had a couple times where I placed an order ahead and it wasnt ready when I arrived at the scheduled time, but I still give it 5 stars for all the times everything went perfectly.

I love to support my small businesses, but these guys are crooks. I asked to replace the rice in my plate and bowl with veggies like I do at almost every restaurant free of charge, but they charged me an extra $3.60 per dish without telling me before hand. I didnt know that it cost the restaurant that much more to serve me a plate of steamed cabbage and broccoli as opposed to rice. Tell your customers this information ahead of time like every normal restaurant would do. THEIFS!

Ive been coming here for years. YEARS. The bowl is hands down the best. The combo chicken beef with avocado and topping it with teriyaki sauce and some Sriracha will top anything you will ever order any where else. They nailed their food product.THAT BEING SAID, the service is a hit or miss. Its not on the fault of the shop itself, its a small shop that wants to stay small. They have the customer base and product to expand, they choose not to. There is only one cashier at all times. And this place is really popular. Honestly, Im not surprised they dont do well with phone call orders, they are just overwhelmed. Their menu trumps the wish washy service. People who are reading this, please understand they are small so its gonna be hard when everyone wants their food. That should say something about how good it is.This is coming from someone whos been buying bowls here for years and have gone through a least a half a dozen cashiers.

Something about the taste of this chicken...very tasteful. Not sure if its the cured grill or simply the seasoning...but its worth price and visit. Small location...first come first serve. Take out or if you get lucky on a seat...stay and enjoy. They also sell hamburgers and some other delights...but the Chix is what makes the draw.

I’m giving Golden Bowl one star because I can’t go lower than one star, yesterday I was trying to make a phone order to pick up and it was a big order the lady asked me what I wanted and after two orders out of six she says okay your total is and I said “excuse me I’m not done ordering yet” so she said “okay what else” then I went on to continue to order another item after that she asked for my name and number I said “ma’am I’m still not done ordering” and she insisted for my name and number once I gave it to her she said “okay pick up in 10 minutes thank you” and that was the end of the call. If you work in a fast food business you need to let the customer complete ordering their food. This would’ve been my first time eating there since my mom said it was so good, I rather have wabagrill than golden bowl. I’ll never spend my money here.

This place was so delicious. When i went i got half chicken and half beef, and i dont regret it. The plates are big enough to feed two people or one really hungry customer. Their avocado portion is good so you dont feel cheated when you pay that extra fee. The customer service could use some work but the food definetly makes up for having to put up with a sassy employee.

I only go to Golden Bowl to get a plain large white rice. I recently went in and made my order. I expected the order to only take 1-3 minutes tops, seeing that it was only rice. I waited 15 mins for my order, despite seeing other people who ordered after me receive their food before me. I literally saw fresh rice going into orders made after my order was placed. Super small, 6 table restaurant with fast service. The chicken teriyaki bowls here are simple, and clean, but full of flavor and served on a bed of rice. Not overly compensated with sauces and allows anyone to add more teriyaki and siracha spice at their will. --- Three sizes for chicken or beef bowls at great pricing. A small chicken and an order of small well made fries amounts to be less than 9 dollars. A great meal for anyone at a modest price. --- Highly recommend this to anyone looking for quality grilled chicken that wont hurt your wallet.

Im not in this part of town often. I normally stay in SGV. So I was about to just pull through Subway or McD in the same plaza when I yelped this place. Sooo many reviews saying its the best teriyaki theyve ever had. Lots of elite reviewers saying that. I was like cmon, if youre gonna say that I HAVE to try it. I got a #5. Chicken Teri and shrimp. Comes with a small salad, 1000 dressing. It comes a little dry. Extra sauce is a MUST. I drowned that shih. And know what? Its pretty good. I wouldnt say best ever, but it does blow chains like Waba and Flame Broiler out the water. Cant compare to Yoshinoya, totally different beast. But chicken is a little more chopped up, so the sauce can penetrate, rice was cooked well, the small salad with half slice tomato and slice of cucumber was good. I dig this place. We dont have anything in SGV like this. Closest is B-Mans, and BMans not as good as this place. Totally recommend this spot. But get EXTRA SAUCE. Skip the avocado too. I got that because everyone on yelp gets it, but I dont think it adds anything to the flavor. Oh yeah, they have Horchata, tamarindo, Jamaica drinks here too.

I added extra teriyaki sauce and hot sauce.My bf got the beef and teriyaki bowl with sliced avocado on top. I shouldve gotten that. Honestly best teriyaki ever. Ive had a lot of teriyaki but have never found one thats this delicious and such a bang for my buck.The best deals are the teriyaki bowl. I personally like the half chicken and half beef combo. You MUST add the avocado. They give you a generous amount of avocado sliced on top of the meat.They also have combo plates but youre really paying another $1.50 for a salad. The large bowl is way to go. Make sure you get extra teriyaki sauce and hot sauce.The restaurant is really small and it gets packed during lunch. I recommend taking your food to go and calling in your order ahead of time. There are plenty of parking in their lot and they take credit card.
