Food was good, portions are bigI had leftovers for the next day. Ordered take out and it was ready in 15mins. Beef broccoli was good, so was the mix chow mein. 4 stars only because I had ordered a large kung pao shrimp and the order only had about 8 shrimps and the rest was veggies. The plate weighed about 5lbs full of sauce and veggies and 8 shrimps. The portion is meant for 3 people.

My Fave! Ive tried several Asian places around here, and nothing measures up. This place has HUGE delicious portions, and so, so many options!! Photo is after I ate a ton for lunch, still so much left! I need to try more things, but the bbq pork chow fun is SO good I keep coming back to it!! Like this place.

They have great, fresh food, but treat yourself and come here for egg foo yung. It is made unlike any of the egg foo young I have had in Southern California. I even ran into a guy who works for the Food Network, and he said this is the only place where you can get New York style egg foo yung in socal. I don’t know New York, so I don’t know what New York egg foo yong is like. But if this is it, it is fabulous. Always cooked fresh with the chicken, or any other additions included in the Patty. Then covered with a great gravy. I sometimes make a special trip for this - I live in the Pasadena area.

Really good classic Chinese food, well above average for this type of restaurant. Prices reasonable. it does get crowded and it appears to be family owned, so service can take awhile if the servers are overwhelmed, but even so the servers pay close attention and dont just ignore you or take short cuts. Walnut chicken, which is hard to find -- usually only shrimp is cooked this way -- is available and its excellent, very crispy, not too much sauce and not too sweet. Nothing was greasy, and if it comes with meat, it comes with a generous helping of it, not just a token amount. Decor is plain but there is a TV. Skip the trendy spots and eat here instead.

The lady who took my order for pick up has no people skills she made a big deal after I paid for my regular General Crispy Chicken because I asked her for a small steam rice and refused to get pay with my credit card because I did not have the $ 2.19 cents in cashVery bad customer service she needs to learn to be nicer I went to the bank at tvmhat time and went back to get my steam rice.This is how you treat regular customers?SHAME ON YOUI will never go back to you your food is good but not worthy to drive from Northridge.This is how business lose customers and eventually lose them because of that.Just have to be niceI am very honest and that us why you wont see me again

We all work hard for our money. And i hate when you go to a restaurant and they try to pass off some trash as food. I was served a whole plate of fat trimmings as food. The whole thing was fat, the kind i trim off my steaks so i dont serve my guest mostly fat. Thats the type of place this has become. I paid my bill, and left. The server, and the cook refused to admit their mistake. Said they have the best reviews in town, and blatantly said that i was wrong. Might as well have called me a liar. I know what good food is, and this place no longer serves it.

One of the best Chinese food places in town! Highly recommend eating here! Great family style portions and always fresh! Delivery is fast and customer service is always friendly! I always get the orange chicken and house special fried rice one of the best combos!

Let me start off by saying that the owners are American-Chinese that recently returned from a trip from China. In an area where you have watered-down Chinese dishes at the forefront, it was great to have cooking from an establishment that is in tune with their roots. Had the dinner plate with beef in oyster sauce. Delicious. The sauteed minced garlic brought out a beautiful arouma. Topped with some chili oil and the dish was complete for my palette. Had the wrapped chicken that was average. Ive traditionally had it with dark meat, whereas white chicken meat is only used in their establishment. Yes, dark meat is fattier, but thats where the majority of the flavor comes from. Also, ordered the hot tea that turned out to be jasmine. Aromatic and perfectly light for a heavy dish. My roommates had been there on several occasions and the front staff already recognizes them and remembers their favorite orders. Our meal experience was like coming back home and mom was there to make sure we left with our appetites sated. I will certainly be back for another dining experience.

I am going to just say it. My hubby was right. Okay he has been visiting Golden Chopsticks since he was a tiny little beebee. He said it was the best. Better then the places I have taken him. Places I have swore were the best. Well, my fellow stubborn mules, he is right. The food was FABULOUS and the tiny atmosphere was snug but the happy woman serving us made it seem grand. Every customer that walked in knew her and was welcomed with a family style greeting. Meat was moist, tender and full of flavor. Veggies bright and perfectly blanched. I will be back. Price was right in between cheap and pricy. ($35 for 2 meals and 2 drinks but we have left overs)

When we got here, the curtains were closed, and the place was empty besides the waiter. We didnt know what to expect, but we stayed, and the food was great. The waitress was fast and friendly, the portions were huge and tasty and the price was good. A great experience.

I ordered take out from them this evening and the food is absolutely atrocious!! The chicken is undercooked, the soup is nothing but broth cubes dropped in water and just overall poor quality. I immediately called them and explained how dissatisfied I was and offered to return all of the food explaining that the beef was stringy, rubbery and probably undercooked and she cut me off saying thats our style. I was refused a refund because they dont do that, but she told me it was my problem it was bad, not hers. She continued to berate me and accuse me of trying to steal from her and screw her over. Finally, threatened to call the police on us to get the food from us so they could taste it proving it was good, screaming at me we cant order food, try it, decide we dont like it and get our money back before I finally hung up.

A small, low-key restaurant with all of the character youd expect. The lady who served me was very nice and the food came fast and fresh. I got the fish in black bean sauce from the lunch menu. Very tasty and a great price!

The food is great ! I like to dine in and have the hot green tea, egg drop soup before eating the main course, just like when I used to eat out years ago when I was a child. Love this place, theyre usually very busy with not very much seating in the place but there is always take out.

It is under different managent now. They are sort of friiendy. All the portions are tiny. I think my egg roll included in my lunch was about an inch. Its new owners. I will probably next time drive up the block to for better Chinese. I wont mention the name but its a block up on the right in a strip mall.

Food was horrible. Lemon chicken overcooked and dried out. Rice was cold. Also after many years of going they were not able to do half order of fried rice. Egg rolls were a frozen item not made fresh.Must be new ownership. Sorry to see this. Will not return

Closed til the 2nd of Sept.Usually their egg foo yong is excellent. Its the gravy that makes it so special. I always call and order then pick it up but it is eat in also. Their fried rice is good too. Service is pretty good also.

I placed an order over the phone and I repeated what I wanted to the lady who answered the phone many many times the order and she still made a mistake. It was my first time ordering to this place and the food was nasty. I called her back to ask her about the mistake and she told me that I ordered the nasty food she sent me for delivery. She cant understand English. Everything was nasty, she got rude over the phone. I spent money in the worse Chinese food ever. I wont order anything there anymore and I will tell all my friends. HORRIBLE! Dont eat here.

This is my favorite place to eat. Try the wonton soup and the chicken wing appetizer with Jalapenos. So good on a cold day but even if its not. If you like spicy order the soup spicy and you are in for a treat.

Had a discrepancy between the difference of chop suey and chow mein, the lady working there did set the record straight and educate me the difference between the two. So we ended up purchasing the BBQ pork chow mein with a side of rice. On the walls was many, of Im assuming, food that was prepared there and was offered on the menu. There was a picture off what appeared to be pork, I asked the lady was that the regular pork or BBQ in the picture, she confirmed it was the BBQ, which also confirmed that thiese were indeed actually dish prepared and served there. The pork in the picture looked like nicely cooked to perfection and pieces where of nice perportion. My chow mein was a different story. At $8.95 for my BBQ Pork Chow mein I definitely got more than $8.95 worth of noodles and vegetables as well. However the BBQ Pork I didnt encounter any until 6 bites into the meal and the pork wasnt much more plentiful through out the rest of the meal. I am definitely disappointed, and I did NOT receive, I feel the true value of what ultimately was a $20 meal. Also the pieces of pork that I did scarely encounter in my entree, where cut the same thickness as the carrots were, which was thinly sliced, to let you know how thin, they were twice as thick as the noodle. I will post photos if they allow me at the end. Back to valve, if I wanted to pay that much for that many noodles, it was the equivalent of 6-8 packs of Top Ramen. Based on the way the meat and carrots were sliced, it may provide more value if you were to come up with a ratio like 6,3,3. Six part noodles to 3 parts meat, etc. On another note the egg rolls were better than average, despite the size, I would purchase them again

Horrible customer service, literally overcharge me and when I tried to explain to them that they charge me for the wrong items they got super rude. I would not eat here again I neither with my family or my business. Save yourself from going here and getting treated this way and just go to panda Express across the street.
