My favorite mom and pop Chinese restaurant in the valley. They remember my order whenever I come in and the servings are huge for the price. Excellent food!

Excellent!!! I definitely recommend you check them out. I loved my food.Fresh and very flavorful. Its the flavor that will bring me back.Dont let the storefront scare you off. This is a step above most storefront restaurants in terms of quality and flavor. The chicken satay was fresh and quite good. Great cucumber salad and peanut sauce.I had the Spicy Tonkotsu and loved it. Really really liked it. The flavors were so good. The pork was very tender. The noodles were perfect. My new standard for Tonkotsu. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Its the typical storefront setting, but quite clean.I think they are known for their Pho, so i will try that next. You must try this place. The flavors were so good.UPDATEWent back a week later and had the Beef Pho. It was good. I dont know what good Pho is, so Ill just say Ill look to try other dishes. Third time trying beef pho at three different places and its probably just not my thing. My friend had the Panang Curry and it was outstanding. Too hot for me, but they said it could be made more mild though my friend ordered it mild. The flavor was truly excellent. I highly recommend it.We also had the Shrimp Rolls and they were very delicious. The shrimp tasted very fresh.

Ordered from here based on the great reviews and 4.5 rating. I am shocked that it has really that many stars based off of the food that we ate last night. The food did not taste good. The pork was tough and string beans were mushy. The steak was interesting… it was coated in some kind of sticky weird sauce. I don’t think it resembled steak very well at all. The chicken had no flavor and was also weird. The eggrolls left much to be desired. The sauce for the egg rolls was awful. Still searching for an amazing Chinese restaurant in the valley… Do they even exist? have tried a handful of them and much of them are like this review… So so sad
Now On 9 Thai Bistro

This is more of a Chinese restaurant rather than a Thai one. Food was fresh but we were in a mood for Thai flavours. Dishes were bland and had ingredients typical for the Chinese cuisine.

Okay I came here randomly for lunch when looking at wedding venues in the area and I gotta say, this place is remarkably, remarkably good. Their tag line is the best dumplings in the bay which I thought was a very bold claim, but amazingly theyre in the running. The xiaolongbao is flavorful and has a perfect skin chewiness. None of them were soggy or broken, despite them all being on one sheet rather than any attempt to individually seperate them (other places often do this to minimize their chance of damage but 88 baobao they held together on their own merit).Pan friend and steamed dumplings both excellent, as were the BBQ pork buns on the bonus menu. Just the right amount of sweetness. One of my friends has special food intolerances and he was able to get the fried rice altered to his requirements entirely in English (I often have to help out in Chinese at Chinese restaurants). Altered dish came out perfect on the first try.And as a bonus you can watch them wrap the dumplings/steam/cook as the kitchen area has a glass enclosure!

Had the sweet and sour pork which is my go to at most authentic Chinese restaurants. It was just ok, not great…very heavy with the sauce and seems like the meat and peppers and pineapple had just been soaking in the sauce for way to long. The fried rice was just ok as well. Lots of overcooked egg pieces were in the rice…some were black with grease from the griddle. The restaurants did have a lot of choices and lots were prepared to choose from. My work colleague had the orange chicken, fried rice and chow mein. She also said hers was just ok as well. Portion sizes were pretty large, but that does not mean much if the food is just meh.

The lighting in this restaurant is very harsh, it made me nauseous and dizzy within minutes. The front area is so brightly lit that you think it might be a surgery room. Thus, we ordered the food to go. Once in our hotel room, we discovered that instead of eggplant Parmesan we had ordered they gave us cheese and spinach lasagna which my husband actually liked very much, so no complaints here. The food tasted well, was very high sodium, however. Another issue with this restaurant is that they have a very limited selection of drinks, and no alcohol is being served at this time. Everyone in the restaurant was very pleasant, thus two stars. I would not return to this place as long as the current lighting remains, as there are a number of nice kosher places in this area to which I would rather give my business.

I was sad when Chengdu closed down but finally decided to give this a try. I think the new management pretty much just bought over the old space because things like the phone number stayed the same. Their menu is a little different though. Its more of just a typical Chinese menu without any regional specialties. I found it a little less authentic than Chengdu but still overall a solid Chinese option and I would order again. Plus the staff was very nice and efficient. It is not super authentic if youre going by SGV/Monterey Park/Alhambra standards, but it still is good enough.I ordered 4 items for takeout: Dim sum Delight, chicken with black bean sauce, beef chow fun, and the spicy eggplant. Portions were very large and a great value for the money.1. The chicken was good, and featured a good amount of breast meat (no weird pieces). Those of you seeking to hit your protein goals for the day will be happy.2. The spicy eggplant was solid, but couldve had a bit more depth of flavor. Still, I would order it again. Not too spicy, kind of a lighter sauce.3. The BBQ bao and shumai in the dim sum Delight were good. The shrimp dumplings were not that great, kind of rubbery, and the vegetable and chicken dumplings were a little better. (In all fairness, these probably would have been a lot better if we had dined in, especially b/c I had a 15 minute drive home).4. The beef chow fun was good, not as much deep flavor as I would have wanted but I just added a little bit of soy sauce (which came with the food) and it was perfect. Not too greasy. Our order also came with a large rice for free. The food was packaged perfectly so nothing spilled and it was ready within 15 minutes at 6 p.m. on Sunday night of Memorial weekend, right on time.Overall, I miss the restaurant that used to be in this space (Chengdu House was more authentic -- but the chef died :(( RIP) but I am happy that a good replacement moved in so quickly. Im happy enough with the quality of the food to try other things on the menu, like their tofu and seafood dishes. Good luck to them and I hope they succeed!
