2023-08-02 04:31:40This place use to be a great place I am been coming to Happy family since 1998 service use to be excellence today is the worst experience of all the time server name LISA was rude while taking order & after serving food no one didn’t even bother to ask for drinks or water they should ask guest what guest wants to drink while they’re taking order anyways I have to call server few times to order some soda & water later they don’t even bother to ask if do we need anything didn’t ask us if we wants any dessert this is my last visit to this place there’s many more Vegetarian restaurants are around I will try those restaurants Lisa were very rude,They had a bad attitude and seemed like they didn’t want to be there. I get it, everybody has bad work days. It is disrespectful and does not make them look good. The atmosphere was depressing, and the waiters barely made any interaction. Would not recommend, considering the food was average and the service was terrible. I was in awe at how bad this place was. I was excited too, how disappointing. The name “Happy Family” doesn’t live up to its name. Hopefully Owner will read this reviews to all future customers good luck & be ready for new experience

2020-02-09 17:31:11My vegetarian fiancee was in heaven... Tasty and savory Chinese classics that are all plant based. Food is served family style so bring friends. The tastiest of dishes for me was the ones without the mock meat... Pineapple fried rice (subtle sweetness and not overly fried) and the crispy deep fried tofu with basil (amazing dry seasoned tofu with spicy marinated Thai basil). The Minced Squab in Lettuce was a great appetizer too with a blend of flavor and texture.

2019-11-02 17:49:32The traditional Chinese vegetarian dishes are so hard to make. The ones that I normally went to are out of business within a few years. Happy family has an all you can eat menu, but they dont offer it on the 1st and 15th of the Chinese calendar. Better to call them to confirm if they offer the all you can eat menu that day. The dishes that I ordered were just ok. Checked in Yelp get a free desert.

2019-01-28 04:29:19Service was amazing! I love that I can eat everything on the menu!!! Had the sweet and sour pork and the fried rice! It was so much food. Enough for four people! The tea was perfect to warm up before and after the meal! Food came out fast. The place was tidy.

2017-03-20 01:59:46This place has an amazing number of dishes you can choose from, all of them vegetarian even if they have meat names on them. Theyre very creative and preparing the dishes and they come up really tasty and flavorful. The ambience of this place is traditional Chinese, but everyone will likely enjoy the food here. The house chicken is addicting!

2018-12-18 01:04:49Chinese vegetarian food is rooted in Mahayana Buddhist temple cuisine. This means that the food is mostly lacto-ovo vegetarian, with most dishes falling closer to the vegan side of the spectrum. Because alliums like onions and garlic are thought to be inflammatory and excitable, you won’t find these flavor enhancers in Chinese vegetarian cuisine. Cuisine that follows this tradition is called 純素 or “pure vegetarian”.With this preamble, the food at this establishment follows this pure vegetarian tradition. There’s a lot of tasty dishes that use soy-based meat replacements. For those who don’t like processed meat substitutes, the choices are plentiful and delicious too. The pineapple fried rice is really good. So are the tofu dishes and stir-fried fresh veg (try the pea shoots if they have it available).
