Pieology Pizzeria Atlantic Blvd, Monterey Park, CA
2098 S Atlantic Blvd, Monterey Park, CA 91754, United States
I had the worst experience!! I google the closet Pieology and found one in Monterey park. There was a long line, So I waited for like 25min. Then finally made my pizza and paid, took me like 35min. So now Im waiting, I see my pizza come out and 10 others just sitting there, and sitting there over 15min. Finally they put my pizza on a tray and the girl put it in to a to go box and dropped my pizza on the floor and half my pizza in the trash. By this point Im hungry, tired and upset that she just dropped my dinner all over the floor and I waited almost an hour. I told her just please give me my money back, I cant believe you just dropped my dinner. The manager Jose was like fine well give you your money, not a let me make you a new one, not a hey well take care of that, not even a sorry well give you a free pizza on us for all the inconvenience. Then I ask for his boss cuz I didnt think he was being a good manager by just brushing it off like nothing. And he couldnt give me the number just some email. I do understand it was busy but I dont think a pizza that takes 5min to make (which it says on there sign) should take an hour to get. So dont go to this one unless you want bad service and wait forever for your pizza.

How could I have lived only 8 minutes away and have never tried Ravello Osteria? I will never be the same again. My husband and I had a spur of the moment date night and decided to finally try this place out. We had heard they have a wood fire oven that makes amazing pizzas, so we had made it a point to visit. Well.... we were not disappointed! We put our name down and waited maybe 20 minutes to be seated. While we waited, a group of 3 ahead of us told us how much they loved the food here and made some recommendations. The restaurant itself is small inside and very communal in its seating arrangements with long wooden tables and benches. The place itself can be found full of die-hard local fans who are on a first named basis with the waiters. How can you go wrong with a place that has returning loyalty? We ordered the Penne Pasta with organic chicken and a traditional Neapolitan Pizza that was called the Amalfi, as well as a glass of white wine and beer. Our waiter Alfred was great. He also made recommendations and was welcoming when we told him we were first-timers.The group of 3 ahead of us was kind enough to walk over delicious baked dough with pesto in it because we had to try it! They were not wrong. Their kindness was so heartwarming, and they were RIGHT!Unfortunately, our pasta order had been forgotten, but we were so wrapped up in our pizza that we had lost track of time and werent even sure if we had ordered it. Alfred checked for us, and there had been a slight mix-up, so our pasta never came out, but he spoke to the kitchen and made sure we got our pasta.Honestly, they could do no wrong here. My husband and I were blown away by the kindness of everyone so much so we were not concerned with the delay at all. Que sera sera, right? Our pasta dish eventually came out and was amazing! My husband had to stop me from eating it all...we had to bring some home for our daughter to try. We will definitely be coming back to try everything on the menu and joining the Locals Ravello Osteria Army.
Jays Pizza
2412 S Garfield Ave, Monterey Park, CA 91754, United States
Ordered Large size pizza in 2-different flavors: Meat Lovers & Supreme. Actually it's not much of diff in b-tween, except bell peppers, onions n mushroom, olives in Supreme. I prefer the Supreme w/ some moist juicy tasty bites from the veggies.Overall the topping is fresh which bring out a good flavor to it. Pizza dough itself is a bit too soft more like a bread, as I prefer a little more chewy texture. It's 3.8.This is my very 1st time trying out based on my pizza searching when this local hole n wall spot pup up w/ a high rating score. It doesn't even look like this business is open, as all the windows are closed, even it's hard to find the entrance when there's no Open sign.Cashier guy is not so friendly nor attentive. I imaging he's from the owners family perhaps…(:
Thai House
2080 S Atlantic Blvd, Monterey Park, CA 91754, United States
Ive been coming to this restaurant with my family for over 20 years and have always had a pleasant experience and the food has been excellent, but 2days ago, I had the worst experience ever and I am sad to say, I will no longer come to this establishment. I took my 2yr old and my 9yr old niece to eat here for a special lunch, mind it was really hot outside and we had walked almost 2 miles to get here, to get forgotten by the Asian server. It wasnt busy when we arrived and there were three Asian servers behind the counter and none of them moved a finger to sit us down until one girl offered us a seat. She sat us down and walked away, after 10 minutes she asked us for our drinks. At this point three other group of guest arrived including a white man and she rapidly offered them water and gave them salad before coming back and letting us order food without any drinks yet. I couldnt believe it, the server totally was helping other guest before offering us any drinks and she kept skipping my table. My niece notice it too and of course being pregnant and all I took a stand and told the waiter that she was helping others and had forgotten to give us water, she walked away and minutes later another waiter comes out with water. They had sent other different Asian waiters to serve us, but they all had bad attitude because I stood up. When the food arrive, it was real bad food, the salad had old leaves intertwined with other salad leaves and our rice was cold. I am very disappointed and upset at what has happened, not only that, Im 7months pregnant and if it wasnt for my group being hungry, tired and super hot at the moment, I would of walked out. Nobody apologized and they sent the other waiter that was attending me home or something so that they didnt have to deal with any scenes, horrible customer service, this establishment needs to manage their servers and teach them about customer service and how to treat people, regardless of their background and the way they look, its very expensive here, but its not all that great when you get treated like your not welcome, and Ill be taking my service somewhere else. I do have to say, the Latina server is really nice and she helped us out more than the Asian servers in this location and props to here for her great customer service. The others should learn from her or get a different profession.
Thai House Express
2099 S Atlantic Blvd f, Monterey Park, CA 91754, United States
I called ahead of time to ask if they took apple pay and was told by the person on the line that the restaurant did. When my party was done eating we asked where we payed with apple pay and, much to my dismay, found out that the store did not, in fact, take apple pay and by the same lady who had picked up the phone no less. They took my phone and asked that I go get money, demanding that my other party members stay behind, leaving me with no transportation options to get to my house. I had already agreed that they could hold my phone as collateral and not allowing a party member to drive me was unreasonable. My phone was worth more than the meal and I thought theyd be reasonable enough to understand that it was more than enough reason for someone to come back. As I previously stated, they were not reasonable and threatened to call the cops if anyone from my party left. After much arguing I was finally allowed by staff to go get money from my house. When I finally did return with my credit card I was told by an employee that they didnt take Discover. Then she tried the card, and, surprise surprise, the card went through and I was finally able to leave this oddity of an establishment. The mediocre food was not worth the hassle.
Cooks Tortas

This restaurant was very clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Food was prepared quickly and it was really good. As a vegan / vegetarian I was happy to see vegan / vegetarian friendly options.
Venice Room
2428 S Garfield Ave, Monterey Park, CA 91754, United States
The Venice Room is a classic steak house that has been around since the 50s and I dont think the decor has changed since then. But what HAS changed is the menu. We came here for Fathers Day and I am vegetarian so I had already mentally prepared to order from the side dish section as I often do when someone else chooses the restaurant but I was so pleasantly surprised to see vegetarian and vegan options! That I didnt expect! I ordered the impossible burger with grilled onions and mushrooms and I devoured it! SO YUMMY! They also have impossible tacos, party melt and nachos! Yes please! They also have all the steak house classics you would find at most steak houses. Everyone in our party was happy! They also have great drink specials. If youre looking for a no frills, casual steak house, this is the spot.
Kam Hong Garden
848 E Garvey Ave Unit A, Monterey Park, CA 91755, United States
It looks like Kam Hong Garden has gone through a menu renovation. The dishes that they serve seem to be different from the ones I had tried a few years ago. They dont have xiao long bao (which is what I wanted when I walked into the store), but they do offer a variety of noodle soups, dry noodles, rice, dumplings, wraps, etc. And with the noodles, there are three different types you can order from! The beef noodle soup was really good! I was pleasantly surprised at how much meat was in the dish. They also had a good amount of green onion and cilantro that garnished the soup. The beef was tender and soft, the soup had rich flavor and wasnt too spicy ... but it was the thick hand-cut noodles that was the star of the meal. I love thick noodles, and I especially loved Kam Hongs thick cut noodles! Chewy, but not too dough-y, there was enough substance yet the noodles still carried the flavor of the broth. If I needed to be picky about this dish, I would say that the soup could have a little more flavor. There wasnt enough noodles, but we did have a lot of beef and soup left, so I would recommend ordering an extra plate of noodles (maybe even something different!) so you can have enough noodle to complement the beef and soup.We also ordered the beef wrap - I remember the visit before, I had griped that they put too much melon into the wrap. But this time, even though there was a substantial amount of cucumber, it didnt detract from the beef or the sweet barbecue sauce! And the skin was crispy! I really liked that there was melon inside because it gave the wrap a sweetness that most other restaurants dont have. I think there were five total wraps ... we could only finish two!tl;dr - Overall, great lunch. Prices werent too costly - we paid a little under $20 for two people. The service was okay. I think the restaurant has a new owner (seems like a family business), which is nice since its always great to support family owned businesses! Good amount of air conditioning on a great day! I would definitely come here again ... the beef noodle soup beat Bull Demon King in my opinion.
