So hit and miss with this place but most the time the food is disgusting. Will never eat here again. My beef meat smelled rotten af and there was no way I was Eating that. Could not believe they had the nerve to serve that. The health department needs to check this place asap!!
I used to prefer the Asian Dragon (Competing Chinese restaurant down the street) but the owners/chef sold it and it wasnt the same. I was so happy to find the old owners and chef now work for Hong Kong! The food tastes the same as it used to. Best Chinese around!

I like their sweet and sour pork, a lot of dough which I love. My mom likes their fried rice, my dad likes that they dont put too much salt on their foods. We picked family meal which are plenty. 1 thing we all agreed on is to not order kungpao chicken in the future.
I love this little family restaurant near the lake! They have some of the best egg foo yung I have ever had! Super tasty egg rolls and egg drop soup as well. They also use a lot of great tasting vegetables in their lo meins where a lot of places will be cheap. Amazing food and great service!

Only Asian Restaurant in Lake County that has inside dining 🤔. They raised the prices and at the same time dropped the soup as part of the lunch special...very disappointed and will probably not come back just like the buffet 😕.Buffets open all over the state except here.Food quality is consistent and service friendly...that being said I dont get the lunch ( no soup)and stay with the fun noodle.County should be Styrofoam free. JMO

First time in awhile to eat here again. It was ok, I had lunch first time I tried it about year ago or so. Very fresh. But today had early dinner. Rice tasted old, too oily, so was chow mein. Lemon chicken was from a frozen fillet, not fresh or with tempura. Everything gas, rent etc. Getting so expensive. So when we go out want quality so its worth it. Probably wont be returning.
We were pleasantly surprised at the freshness and quality of a takeout dinner for three. The Vegetables were varied, fresh, and crisp. The meats were well cooked. We will be back!
The food they serve is very good, and reasonably priced. Theyre very nice, and spot on with service. Definitely would recommend if youre looking for Chinese food.
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the staff was friendly. The table settings and placement were quite pleasant. We had the buffet lunch and though the selection might be a little on the small size the typical dishes were present and the food quality was good. It is definitely a restaurant my family would eat at again.
Good value for lunch buffet. But, I was kind of put off by the sign stating each soda refill is another dollar. Since I arrived at opening time, all the food was fresh and delicious. Only 4 stars since the iced tea tasted rancid. As if it had remained out all night and soured. When I mentioned it and asked for a different kind of drink, the waiter acted angry, no apology. Bad customer service. But I think this was a one time deal, so I will still come here again.
Last night we had the Mongolian beef sweet n sour prawns and pork fried rice everything was very good. The staff were really nice, our waiter was right on top of everything, we didnt have to ask for anything. We were very pleased, we will be going back soon.

I got pork fried riceThan I showed the staff what I ordered than she said no you order rice. This is my favorite place to go in Lakeport, California. When Im in the mood for wanton soup, fried rice, and orange chicken. Marie is the local propriter and is always happy and gracias, even when you come in late an want to dine in. The resteraunt is clean and the food is plentiful and delicious as well as reasonably priced. I hope to see it continue to be open and doing business in these unsettling times.
Have gone to Hong Kong multiple times and every time the food is absolutely delicious from their chicken fried rice to their amazing hot & sour soup. Always super friendly staff and very nice atmosphere to eat at!
Tried it several times. The food isnt that good, but the staff tries to make it a good experience. If youre not interested in getting hot food in less than 45 minutes, you might want to consider some other place.

My family and I love this place, everytime we order from them the food is delicious and they are great about accommodating picky eaters (my kids dont like onions or mung beans). I definitely recommend them if youre looking for good food thats prepared quickly and not to pricey!

I have been going here since I was I child. The food was always good, and the service has always been wonderful with one exception in 35 years... And that exception turned into my favorite server ever. (He always bought me a beer). Staple.

The food was absolutely disgusting. Worst Chinese food I have ever ate.. Well didnt eat. I bought some pot stickers along with other good for dinner Saturday night. I take one bite of a lot sticker. Tasted terrible. Spit it out, smelled it and it had the most sour smell I have ever smelled. So not wanting to get sick I threw $40 worth of there garbage good away. I will never go back.
Love this place. Have gone for years, usually go on a birthday. Staff is super sweet and friendly, and service is great. Food is almost always super good. Wor wonton soup is a lil hit or miss but typically good. All in all my favorite Chinese food restaurant
Went here the other day. It was kind of sad to be honest it was 35 bucks for two people to eat and all we both had was a thai iced tea no specialty drinks. The food was extremely blah and very mediocre. Panda Express has better Chinese food than this.
Its trash.. I got home and ate rice a roni instead. Everything was rubbery. Potsickers were super doughy, mongolian beef tasted like a tired drizzled in fish sauce. General chicken had good flavor but the meat was mostly tendon or fat. Fried rice and chow mein would be better out of the freezer section at your local grocery store... Highly recommend going somewhere else
Ill give this restsuran 3 stars right now, the reason is because the food menu its kind of old and (it needs an emergency update) to be able to describe what the condiments are in certain or all items, you can only see the food name but not able see or read what it comes in. The food its good but I think it can be drastically improved to make it more apetitable. Redesign the menus and it will be for sure more people will go back.THE MENU NEEDS SOME SUSHI ROLLS.THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY!!!!KEEP THE GOOD WORK UP!!!
This place is actually pretty sad. The past several times Ive eaten there the food was mediocre at best. Tonight we came in because chopsticks was closed. We were seated by staff and the restaurant was completely empty other than a couple getting ready to leave. We sat there for 15 minutes without even a good evening. As we entered the restaurant we noticed a sign on the door announcing that the liquor license and restaurant was being sold. I guess they figured they were on the way out so why even care anymore. No wonder this place is closing.
Me and my family love it, the staff are always friendly and treat us like family. Food is excellent. Always our first choice when going out to eat.

Probably the best Chinese food on this end of the lake. It has always been one of my favorite places for lunch or take out when Im in the Lakeport or Kelseyville area.

Absolutely the best food in Lakeport. There is a reason why this place is usually busy. Good food is not easy to find in this little lakeside town. HK restaurant has friendly staff and some excellent dishes. We love the Mandarin Shrimp, Spicy Eggplant and the Hong Kong style fried noodles. If you order the plain fried rice you might get some canned carrot cubes but they use fresh produce in most of the items on the menu. Weve eaten the lunch buffet and while decent, it does not represent the best dishes available here. However, the buffet is a great value. The food at Hong Kong is as good or better than the food at most Chinese restaurants in San Francisco.

Good service in Chinese is rare so I didnt expect that, but I do expect my food to be warm and not look like it came out of the fridge. Wont be coming here again, longing for a restaurant to leave a positive review, food has been lack luster since moving to lake county.

I think the meat and veggies are processed and come from a can. The meat is little square diced chunks. The chicken curry was very salty and didnt taste like curry at all. Bummer, probably wont be back.

2022-11-13 00:48:09Went in for late lunch in a quiet and wonderful town of Lakeport. Most of the restaurants were closed as it was late in the afternoon, so we didn’t have enough options. Just wanted to give this restaurant a try since it the closet one that was open.We had chicken chow mein and combo spicy eggplant dish that came with rice, soup and a side of spring roll. Chicken chowmein was average. There was hardly any chicken and a few pieces that came tasted different than chicken. Chicken pieces were super soft like tofu and I really wasn’t sure what to make of it! Eggplant dish was super oily( it looked like deep fried) and sweet, which wasn’t to our liking. Soup and spring roll were just okay.

2023-08-28 18:32:36My wife and I used to eat here frequently we have decided to stop going there after our last takeout meal there. Outside the the front door it was dirty and papers and things floating all around the outside of the place. the inside looked kind of tacky, tired and worn. The food could be best described as Gastly. We had to throw out almost everything that we had bought home.

2022-05-08 06:21:50Ordered prawn, beef, chicken combo #3 chef special.....came with 1 prawn and a very large pile of celery. Wouldnt recommend. Also ordered the shrimp and scallop dish....not a single shrimp. If you ask what is in the wonton noodle soup they will tell you soup....go figure. Table caddie was filthy. Pepper shaker was sticky, soy sauce container was dirty, sugar container was dirty and sticky. Boxes and trash stacked inside in plain sight.
