2023-12-02 14:26:52Excellent food and fast service. If your into spicy food you must try their beef curry. The side of anchovies is no joke! The Malaysian Iced coffee tastes very similar to Thai Iced coffee. Great stuff!

2023-12-08 12:55:42My mom first came here with her sisters then brought us here out of the blue. The servers are super friendly and helpful since it was kind of our first time having Malaysian food (well at least in the US). They have their normal lunch and dinner time but they also have a tea time in between with a different menu. The menu mostly has key staples but they do them very well. We got nasi lamek, roti canai with chicken curry, char kway teow, kaya butter toast, and the coffee. All of it I can say was very good though the kway teow was a bit greasier than I thought but maybe its a difference from pad see ew or chow fun that Im not used to. The nasilamek the fish paste part was spicier than I thought my mother couldnt handle it. The kaya toast with coffee was an amazing combination. Im not sure if this place is the most authentic but its really good regardless, especially if youre interested in Malaysian food for the first time.

2023-09-22 00:00:56Highly suggest using Yelp waitlist as the lines can get long during peak times. Everything was pretty delicious and unique. Food comes out quickly too. There’s an underground parking structure which is nice too. Highly recommend the Malaysia milk tea.

2023-11-11 16:58:05Let me tell you about this awesome dinner I had with my dad recently. He’s been hyping up this chicken and rice spot ever since his Singapore trip, and guess what? It totally lived up to the buzz!We swung by around 5:30 on a Sunday night, and man, was it packed! Lucky for us, we scored a seat just in time. So, we dove right in and ordered their famous chicken and rice, plus some roti on the side. And oh boy, was it good! The chicken? Juicy. The rice? Aromatic and full of flavor. And those sauces? They hit just the right spot. The roti was another winner – flaky, buttery, and perfect for scooping up that delicious curry.Pro tip: Get there early. We wrapped up just as a huge line was forming outside. Those folks were in for a bit of a wait!Parking’s a breeze, thanks to a garage in the building. The service is quick, and the menu’s straight to the point – just how I like it.Bottom line – this place is a must-try. I’m already planning to go back for more of that amazing chicken and rice. See you there?

2023-11-06 06:50:37Usually, the lines at this spot are crazy long, but my girlfriend and I lucked out and arrived before the rush. The roti canai is unbelievably delicious! Paired it with the beef Rendang, and the roti complemented the curry and beef Rendang sauce perfectly. The nasi lemak with chicken curry was also a delicious. The chicken curry paired excellently with the coconut rice. The bak kut teh was alright, although a bit too salty for my taste. It can get pretty noisy in here due to the restaurants popularity, but the service was solid, and the food is top-notch.

2023-10-30 21:50:55Ipoh Kopitiam weaves the essence of traditional Malaysian cuisine into every dish.Among the array of delectable options, the must-try dish is the Hainanese Chicken Rice. This dish stands out as the highlight of the menu. Truly a deserving recipient of its prestigious Bib Gourmand recognition.Q

2023-11-05 18:04:22This place is always busy so be prepared for long wait or join the waitlist before getting there. Not everything here is authentic but a few items worth trying.Char Kway Teow - Good portion and not bad but lack of “wok hey”Dry wanton mee with curry chicken - Very good flavor and can ask for more curry sauce if needed.Kaya & butter toast - Taste just like the ones in Malaysia. They need to toast the bread a bit longer.Roti Canai - The roti is not as crispy like the ones at Belacan Grill and the curry dipping sauce has coconut milk. I would prefer no coconut milk so the sauce will be spicier.Overall it’s a good meal but probably will visit only when I am near this area.

2023-09-03 17:59:11The food was okay on average, Roti and White coffee were good, and Hainan chicken rice was probably the best. The signature toast wasnt as good as expected, a very typical Malaysian restaurant. Dont like the fact the restaurant requires all people to be there in order to sit in. Their business is so good that is why they keep you waiting outside and dont allow you to wait inside when its super hot. They have no mercy even if you have little kids with you, not kids friendly at all. We were asking in and out a few times while waiting for a friend to come nearby. While serving as a Michelin guided restaurant, they should definitely improve the service.

2023-07-14 04:30:12Amazing food and friendly service (waiter spoke Cantonese). The Hainan Chicken and Kaya Butter Toast were featured on the menu as “Best Seller” and for good reason. The Roti Canai, Nasi Lemak, and Curry Laksa were really good too. Food came super fast as well; we came at 8pm.

2023-08-18 21:33:38Definitely a place one should not miss for delicious Malaysian / Singaporean food. The Hainan chicken rice was reminiscent of my childhood taste - that tender texture and that special flavor of the sauce - certainly among the best here. The roti was such a hit - super airy and light overall, crispy outside and doughy inside. As for the curry laksa, nice flavor but a bit too watery and the prawns overcooked. Shall come back and try some other dishes :)
