Beef Noodle Soup Tonight! Pretty Giant Portion at about $15-This place is known for most of their Popular Dishes which, are also posted on their walls like Posters.Plenty of Juicy Tender Meat, Amazing Brother, Yummy Vegetables.I was thinking about their Hot Tray Food honestly but, went with their Popular Beef Noodle Soup. Theres plenty of Foodie Channels on YT & IG that showcase everything Popular served here.I also got a Melon Drink. They have Premade Teas, Juices and such made from various Fresh Fruits which are in their coolers, as well as Made To Order Fresh.Their Frozen Dumplings are also in their coolers to take home and cook with. Well reviewed and raved about on social media.They also sell Jok Rice Porridge.👌Two Locations, the other in Alhambra, I believe.Restaurant is pretty Clean. Plenty of Seating.Restrooms by the back Exit/ Entrance.Plenty of Parking in the Lot out back OR Street Parking on Las Tunas Ave.

HORRIBLE customer service.I asked for a (one) takeout box so my family could split some leftovers but the register staff absolutely REFUSED. She acted as if it was going to come out of her own paycheck and yelled at me as if I was out of line for asking.Ive NEVER been to a restaurant that was so penny-pinching that they cared more about the 2-3 cents for a box than customers leaving happy.ZERO out of 5, as a matter of principle and standard practice at any normal restaurant. Would NOT recommend. Please DONT support them because they absolutely dont value your business.

Sheng Jian Bao just as good as their other locations. They also have a freezer section with frozen dumplings and chili sauce which we will have to try. Also to anyone who is complaining about the atm fees, bring your own cash prior to arriving and it won’t be an issue.

Place is good for Taiwanese and Chinese fast food, my go tos are the 1) Taiwanese beef roll2) Pan Fried baos3) Steamed dragon baoz4) Pork Chop rice5) Various stir fried veggies from food windowThis location has pretty good service, you pick a table and they bring utensils and a pitcher of ice water to ya.Its a papers only restaurant. Most people dont tip but I do cause my kids be messin things up. -___-

More than decent. Great for a quick bite. I like that they have white pepper and table condiments. Xiaolongbao and Shanghainese dumplings are awesome. My son loved their mapo tofu. Give them a try, and dont be scared by how much of a hole in the wall the place looks like.

Kang Kang is a timeless go-to for all Chinese homemade classics. It’s been a staple of the San Gabriel Valley for years, and I will never make a trip back home to LA without making a stop. Plenty of parking in the back. Food to order takes 5-10 min max.

It says all over the Internet that theyre open until 11pm. Got here at 8:50pm and they were already closed and I tried to open the door, only to be completely ignored by all the workers in the restaurant.. They didnt even acknowledge me and there were 3 people in there... Going to the Alhambra one next time instead of the Temple City one!!

The star of the show was the Shanghai Pan Fried Bao (Shen Jian Bao). These pork dumplings are filled with plenty of tasty soup and crisply fried on the bottom. Excellent combination of texture & flavor.Also enjoyed the Shanghai Steamed Bao (Xiao Long Bao), Beef Pancake Rolls, and Beef Stew Noodles as well.

Restaurant that focuses on take out. Dining in is an option, but is not the. most comfortable. However, the restaurant makes up for it with its delicious a la carte options. I recommend the pan-fried buns/dumplings, which are made to order! The soup noodles arent bad and will come served in a comically large bowl.

This place is honestly so disgusting. Got the braised pork belly and sheng jian bao and you could tell the pork was not fresh. Had a bad pork taste to it and I didn’t even bother eating another bite of the braised pork belly. Was contemplating getting their frozen dumplings but I dodged a bullet.

Before anything else, please remember that this establishment accepts CASH ONLY, NO CARDS.If you are looking for a place to eat after taking a tour nearby Pasadena and its neighboring cities, likes to eat Chinese food but short of cash, the consider Kang Kang. This place offers entrees of savory Chinese dishes to choose from. You can have something good below 10$.This Kang Kang branch is situated in one of the nice parts of Temple City. It might be a bit smaller than the one in Alhambra but somehow the ambiance in this restaurant is okay.I highly recommend everyone to try their shen jiang bao (pan fried buns). Just be careful when eating it: IT IS HOT🔥. Also it didnt take to long for me to get my order. I got my buns hot around 5 minutes.Coin parking in front of the establishment. Dont forget your quarters.If there is something I highly suggest them to improve, it is cleanliness. If they can make those floors clear and sparkling, I might change my review to a five star.

Surprisingly fresh looking (5 pm, new food coming out) so I ordered a 3 item combo, was very tasty for fast Chinese. Eggplant, tofu and a white fish. Just get the fresh new hot dishes or order the menu specialties other folks recommend here. No place is cheap anymore, but $8.95 including tax was very filling w some leftovers. Definitely more generous and more options than Panda Express!

The food was quite good. I would suggest ordering items which are made-to-order and skipping the many options sitting in the warming trays, especially if you dont visit during peak times when the food is freshly replenished. We paid over $20 per person for our party of 3, so it felt a bit overpriced sitting in a food court setting using disposable cutlery and Styrofoam cups and plates while bussing our own empty plates and trash. Dont visit the restrooms until AFTER your meal. And bring your own toilet paper, just in case.

Used to live in this area like 6 or 7 years ago and went all the time. came back for the first time today and enjoyed the food! tasted just like it did back in the day. only thing was there was literally NO air conditioning and the fans didnt do anything. i was sweating my balls off. tough to eat while youre sweating buckets

The food here is cheap, particularly the 3-4 item combos, and the ambiance is non-existent. However, the real reason to come here are the pan fried meat buns. If you appreciate contrasting textures,those tasty morsels of piping hot deliciousness put most Shanghai steamed dumplings to shame. Unfortunately, they are no longer available cheap as they used to be, at over $9 for 8 buns. Even so, they are the primary reason I come back here again and again.Other long time repeat customers seem to love the frozen dumplings from the freezer across from the cash register, but I have to admit that I have not tried them yet.

Good fast food and very cheap. Dont go there looking for healthy trendy food, instead they have interesting menu options like pigs heart. Is it traditional Chinese? Have been here since 7:30 pm and it is now 8:25. Place is busy but there is no wait. Many customers take food to go. Tables available on a Friday evening. The staff here are hard workers and the service is great. The manager Jolin is especially efficient and I have seen her multi-task incredibly well. She speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and English well. Food is tasty and very reasonably priced. I visit this place regularly. I recommend the beef stew noodles. Huge bowl. Enough to feed at least two persons. Very delicious!

This is the go to place if you want some home style Taiwanese food. I usually get the 3 item combo and it comes with rice and soup. For the price, it’s making my mouth water. I’m actually thinking of dropping by for some dinner. I love the ham hocks (pigs feet), giant meatball, and seaweed. The fried little fish is good too, when they have it. You could eat here everyday since they switch up the dishes. Don’t be scared. Try them all

I have to say Kang Kang is getting worse and worse even the food is still considered as good. I walked in at 8:20 pm but the owner told me they are going to close. Really terrible... I came one day and ordered, it wasnt too bad. I live fairly close so I visited again the next day, and the food they provided through the window looked like the food they provided the day before: leftovers. I ordered from the menu instead since the other food looked old, and again it looked exactly like the day before, smaller portions, darker, and with who-knows-what bacteria. After ordering a dish that costed about $8, the woman cashier who rang me up charged me $17... I asked why the price doubled from what I saw on the menu, but she said it was because they had to warm it up (it was morning). I guess I could understand, but really? Another extra $8 aside from tax? From the food I ordered on the menu, noodle dish, I had a stomachache right after. I dont think Ill be visiting here again.

One of my favorite places to come eat. Food is cheap and really tasty. You can get panda express style meals for 5 dollars. Also many regional specialties are served here. They are difficult to eat, the juice squirts everywhere, and the bun exterior is thick! Id rather have XLB dumplings. Anywho, the place is not the cleanest and the workers and not the nicest. They fill their tea pots with iced water, not tea lol. The portions for the combos are huge though! You get your bang for your buck. The food isnt blow your mind though. The maps tofu was okay.. really oily. The fried chicken wings were really really dry. I wont be back. :(

The food is basically leftovers at night. Although the portions are not small, the quality is poor. Chinese people are used to bad service and rarely comment! Hope to improve the quality of staff and personal hygiene habits. It is also very inconvenient to only accept cash. Modern people may not carry cash every day, and their cash registers are definitely unreal (there are many Chinese stores like this) and may rarely pay taxes.
