Food here is good. I like the dry noodle combo and the beef brisket with thick noodle. Service is so so, seems like everyone is busy.
Delicious soups every time
The food here is bomb but the service is lacking. Their door says they close at 4pm (even though online says 5). However they will not accept more customers past 3:30.When you come at 2, theyll start neglecting table service and focus on pre-closing (mopping, putting chairs up, refilling condiments). It always seems like everyone is rushed to get out. I understand the staff wanting to leave on time but neglecting customers 2 hours before the restaurant closes is ridiculous.We ordered some sate beef noodles. We asked the server if we can get it less spicy, which she said yes. When the dish came out it was incredibly spicy. Im guessing she forgot to inform the kitchen. We asked for ice water and the cups came out 80% ice and water wasnt filled to the top. The cup had stains in it too.We drank all the water and flagged down a male server for a water refill. He said ok and proceeded to walk away and started wiping other tables!!! I had to walk to the register to request for more water after waiting 5 minutes. Later, we asked a female server for the check. She also said ok and then grabbed the chili sauce containers on ours and other tables. I swear I watched her walk to the kitchen to refill the sauces. What happened to getting our check?!!! Nobody at this place cares about the customers. Its in one ear and out the other. We flagged down another server who finally brought us our check. Mind you, it wasnt busy. The restaurant had 4 tables occupied.Perhaps management should tell the employees dont start sweating about cleaning/refilling when youre still 2 hours from closing and actually pay more attention to PAYING customers. Props to the kitchen for hot, delicious, and prompt meals.Service needs improvement and thats gonna keep us from coming back. Why come here when theres other Kim Kee restaurants within the vicinity. Im not expecting 5 star service but dont rudely disregard customer requests cause youre in a hurry to leave.
Went at 12:30pm on a Tuesday for lunch with some coworkers! We were seated right away, it wasnt too busy. There were 6 of us in total. The place is clean and well decorated. The menu looked like they serve a fusion of Cantonese and Vietnamese noodles! All the workers can speak Cantonese as well as English, so no worries about ordering. I didnt get any food since I brought lunch to work today, but my coworkers were nice enough to let me try theirs! (Pictured below is a little bit of everyones share) Depending on what you order, you get different broths. The clear broth comes out a little hotter and a bit less flavorful than the yellow broth. You can pick what kind of noodles you want in your soup! The noodles looked hand made (probably are but I didnt confirm) and tasted delicious! I had fun trying a little bit of everyones. My personal favorite is the one with tripe [I think its called Beef Variety] (I love intestines). All my coworkers also enjoyed their individual noodles and agree that they would recommend the flat and larger egg noodles, and the Foo Kin Shrimp and Pork Mei Wong bowl! (#26) The only down side was parking was a bit tight, they dont have a lot of parking space. :( All in all, would recommend this place to any noodle lover!
The noodles were too soft not chewy, fish balls tasted okay but the meat balls didn’t…
We came to this place last week. boss was super rude, as well as waiters. the boss (in another review’s picture with the black shirt leaning over a table) rushed us out because he wanted to go on break when we were only there for 15 minutes and started smoking at the back of the restaurant. when we left i only left 10% tip (which was more than he deserved) and when he saw it he ran to our car and yelled at us to never come back. dont worry, we will not be coming back
Horrible customer service. Yelp says they close at 5pm. I arrive at 3:40pm and they said they are closed. The sign on the door says 4pm. They yelled that they are closed and ignored me. I asked about the door sign and they said their kitchen closes at 3:30pm. Typical rude Asian business. Zero customer service. We will never support people who speak to costumers like that. Learn some manners!
I have to say to me, all the Kim Kee (Ky) chain taste pretty much the same. All of them have good taste. But I have to mention the house special Kidney here is specially better than other places. The kidney is so tender/soft, not over cooked. When I go to other place, I will find thin-cut kidneys on the top of the plate but bean sprouts underneath. But this place has so many kidneys, and each of them are in thick cut. It has the right amount of the bean sprouts, lots of shredded green onions and some green chilis. The combination is just so good.
Some of the noodles we ordered were either really overcooked or bland. The satay is crazy spicy and not as balanced as the original location. What set us off is how rude some of the ladies are, both in person and over the phone. There was this really old couple trying to get a table and one of the servers made them stand for almost 20 minutes. The old man was already struggling to stay standing, it wasnt till I asked him to take a seat that he finally got some relief. Definitely not a place wed try again and we really tried to give it a chance with consistent disappointments.
The customer service is awful. We were in line and no one came to greet us to a table. They were very busy, but they could have sent someone to come greet us. Anyway, apparently, there was a list where you would add your name. Of course, not being a regular, you wouldn’t know where that list would be. Some older regulars came and cut in line and just went and wrote in their names. Even though knowing we were waiting in the front of the line. I had to squeeze my name on top just to make sure they didn’t cut us in line. Food service was fast but the fact that they expect you to tip in cash when they accept credit cards is ridiculous because hardly anyone carry cash anymore. So, we couldn’t even tip because none of us had any cash on us. The food was ok though. I wouldn’t say the best. Our meat was a bit on the raw side and that’s not good since it’s not beef. So, we had to drown it in our soup a bit more. They have 2 other locations. The original and a second one. I think I prefer the original even though it’s smaller and crowded but I think the original service is better and the food overall is better. The one in Alhambra, but haven’t been there in a long time so I’m not sure if it’s still good.

The food is excellent. The service is horrendous. They pretend not to see you raise your arm to ask for service. They will service regulars before they will serve you, even when you are seated before. There is no order in the way they handle anything. From bringing your drinks, which you will never get if you ask for water, to your food, to your bill. I went here twice with my wife and kids. Even though food is excellent I will not be returning due to the bad service I received.
Having passing by here many times. Seen a lot of people waiting in line. I always want to try out this place but havent had the time. Today, we happen to be in the area waiting for our order on something next door. Since its was lunch time, we came here to try out this place.They do offer outdoor seatings but with no service. You have to order the food in the front of the store and they bring out the food for you in the outdoor area.The foods are indeed very good. The cuisine is Chinese southern style. In particular, the food is from the area in China called Chaozhou. They are very similar to Cantonese food but with emphasis on seafood and stewed meats.For our lunch, we ordered their famous sweet soy sauce with rice cake. The sweet soy sauce made the rice cake and egg tasted extra yummy. This dish is very popular in Southern China and Vietnam. Another restaurant in Arcadia also offers this dish.We also got their popular steak and tomato rice. The steak wasVery tender and the rice was very tasty with the tomato paste. I had similar food while visiting Saigon last year.I wish they would offer the pre pandemic full menu. They used to have a lot more varieties on the menu.
Extremely bad customer service! The servers here are ignorant and neglected. Among other Kim Ky or New Kim Kee locations, this one provides the worst service ever. I used to come here very often but will not be coming back due to their bad service. You deserve much better for what you pay for. Highly NOT recommended.

Noodles is always my favorite. I think this is the third branch of Kim Kee, which is much close to my place. Love it. Their noodle soup is tasty. Im glad they survived the pandemic. Hopefully I can have this local flavor forever.
The food is great, tasty broth, noodle is al dente. I had the combo noodle and it was delicious. Prices are affordable, service is ok. Overall it was a good place. I definitely would come back again

The place serves variety of foods with fair amount of quantity, but lacks proper flavor on the mix noodle king that I tried out. The taste is just not the same, from what I could remember from the other franchise.

I know Covid19 has placed tremendous strain on small businesses. However, Kim kee noodle house has started a policy to charge customers $1.00 for each cup of water served at their outdoor dining. This is pure greed.
Great food, always hits the spot on cold days. They have am outdoor seating area to eat. Order first then go sit and food will be brought to you.
The food was good. They seemed understaffed so that causes a bit of disorganization. But all in all the wait was worth it.

The Teochew rice noodles, pan-fried cakes, and beef brisket noodles are all great. The main thing is that it is clean, the service attitude is good, and there is a place to park.
The service is terrible, the owner is very rude. We came for dinner and were chased away as soon as we sat down. Dont come here, there are two good hot pot restaurants next door.

2023-06-15 11:10:04Only a 4.2????? Blasphemy!!!!! Top 3 noodles restaurants anywhere. Love this spot! You can choose soup inside or out, choose from 4 different noodles, pho, thick rice, egg, thick egg noodles and what is the sauce made out of? Not sure but it is spectacular!

2021-12-26 01:05:00Came here for lunch yesterday. This place reminds me of another popular restaurant back in the 80s and 90s called 金塔. (Maybe same owner. Dont know.) I ordered the seafood noodles and iced Vietnamese coffee. I liked them both, especially the coffee which was strong and smooth. Service was fast even though it was a full house. I will return.

2020-03-09 05:43:08This was my first time stepping in and tried this New restaurant. It was right on the valley Blvd. and opposite of Lees Sandwich. There was plenty of parking for this establishment. This place was very trendy and well organized with the settings and decorations. Their Menu was so rich in different kinds of food dishes to choose from. They all looked very appealing. We ordered Hu Tieu with yellow egg noodles and mine was seafood special with white noodles. It came with fish, fish balls, shrimps and fish patties. The prices were reasonable which were under $10.00. The ambiance was nice and respectable, and the services here were fast and friendly. My Noodles were excellent and very delicious. The broth was nice and neither salty nor bland it was perfect for me just added more chili and I was good. The noises here were a little loud, what do you expect out of Chinese restaurants?? Anyway, this was a really good restaurant to have Lunch or Dinner with loved ones...I will be back again for sure.

2022-01-10 05:34:49I did a phone order for four different entrées. It was very easy to find parking and I was able to pick up my order within about 15 minutes after placing my phone order. Kim Kee Noodle House definitely takes me back to my childhood. Also, there are satay sauce is one of the best sauces out there!

As the lunch rush picked up it was clear they were under staffesIt took a while to get someones attention to get a beverage, have my water refilled, to have my food heated, and to finally get a lid for my leftovers and my check No one ever checked to see how the food was or if I wanted anything else.Ordered two of the dished reccomended on the menu. 1) ribs in a black bean sauce which came out cold at the same time as the appetizer. The rib dish was tolerable once heated. and 2) fried fish roll - which were more like fried fish balls were ok just not what I was expecting.A classic example of bad service ruining an ok meal.
