Ordered :Creamy Egg Noodle Soup : 3/5Shitaki Mushrooms with Braised Tofu : 3/5Will order again : 3/5, No. Was a decent place to try in our search for our new favorite chinese restaurant, but nothing special for us to make us come back again.Food is sort of ok, not very flavorful and we had to add to the flavor via the use of salt, soy sauce & chili.

Its okay. Food was hot, service was quick, I have no complaints. It didnt wow me, but its a warm spot to take in a hot meal. Parking was a bit challenging but it is easy to find. Its in a great location.

Just stopped by here for the first time last night. The quality of the food was very good! Also, the service was quick and friendly. We ordered the General Tso chicken and the crunchy noodles. Both were delicious, and we had enough leftovers for another meal. Will definitely come back.

Nice place for Chinese food. The food was delicious and there is a large selection of items to choose from. Prices are reasonable. Parking is limited but there is a lot nearby. Seating is indoors only. Did not require a reservation.

Dropped by King Chuans after a tough day at the office on a Thursday night about 10:30. Nobody but me eating here? The place was empty but they close at midnight. Thats fine because service was prompt and there was hardly a wait for food. They deliver locally until 10p. Good to know.Started off with :Fried Prawns app. 5/5. Crunchy, golden battered shrimp tender on the inside, served with the most extreme hot mustard Ive ever had!Followed up with :Singapore noodles 5/5. Soft noodles tossed in a light curry seasoning mixed with tasty veggies, chicken and more shrimp.Didnt hurt the wallet either. Just under $30 otd.

Reasonable price but the place is in dire need of renovation. It smelled mold and stinky as soon as I stepped in. The Mongolian beef was too salty. The beef with green onion and ginger wasnt authentic. The only good thing is that it opens late.

Me and my family were visiting in town from Orlando,FL and wanted some good food and luckily we found it here. We ordered so much and all of it was FANTASTIC. The service and hospitality was amazing and everything tasted authentic. I highly recommend this place if you are in town, you won’t regret it!!

Just ordered some food from door dash and the mapo tofu came with a cockroach.Edit: Ive never had the need to leave reviews, thats why I only have one review. And this one time I spoke out because I had to, unfortunately. Very unprofessional response from owner. Obviously, we dumped the soup into our own personal bowl at home so that we could easily share it.Im a foodie and travel a lot for my job. I do not operate any restaurants but I do love discovering new foods! Compared to many other restaurants in my travels, this restaurant lacked in flavor anyhow. At the very least, owner should take this as constructive criticism and improve their sanitation.

Portion was large, the meal was freshly prepared however I prefer the Chinese chicken salad with a classic mustard and vinegar dressing not the sweet dressing this salad was served with. I regret that this was a to go order and so the Resteraunt was not able to replace the dressing as I was miles away by the time I started eating. The batter on the chicken was pasty so the entire dish just was not to my taste. Just to be clear I only ordered the Chinese chicken salad and it is likely they make other dishes which taste better so to break it down: Chinese chicken salad only one star. Staff friendly and efficient three stars.

Staff is friendly and informative. The owner Susan is welcoming and her enthusiasm for life and her clients is endearing. This was our first time but certainly not our last maybe have to go again this week 😁 Happy family, smoked pork with leeks and Westlake soup and another Westlake soup to go for mom. My husband is asking me why I never introduced him to this soup😆 Even the menu has helpful and delicious alternatives to the usual fare.This has become one of our go to places. Sautéed happy family is now one of our comfort foods❤️

This is a fabulous place to eat!! We were in town to pick up our new car and our hotel suggested going to San Carlos for dinner. We picked this restaurant because I love egg foo yung. This was the BEST I have ever had. Im so sorry I dont live near by!! You cant go wrong eating here. The staff is great, the food is exceptional.

Their Kung Pao Chicken is superb and way better than generic or fast take-out options out there with a clean spicy peanut finish and the HK Style Noodles are perfectly crunchy with a tasty sauce and plenty of meat. As a side note, they occasionally include a complimentary hot-and-sour side soup, which is perfect on a cold or rainy day!

Really enjoyed dinner service at this restaurant. Trying to support local restaurants during this challenging 2020 year. Staff did a great job with masks and cleaning between patrons. The quality and authenticity of the dishes were just right. A more accurate rating is probably 4.5 stars. I really enjoy their interpretation of the mapo tofu and Singapore noodles. The dishes were simple and classic. Overall a very nice experience.

Much closer to the authentic Chinese food cooking that you can still see and sense the chef’s intent to ensure that each dish is cooked with a unique presentation and character. The composition and the quality of the ingredients used and how they are cooked also resemble the healthier home style cooking. This is why I would still drive from the Cupertino area that have plenty of Chinese food choices near by to visit King China in San Carlos have a treat here regularly. After I introduced King Chuan to my Indian colleagues, even they loved the dishes and could tell the difference from the Chinese food they got from other restaurants in the South Bay area.

We used King Chuan to cater a large event this weekend, and everything was fantastic! I worked with the manager Susan, and she was available and helpful every step of the way. We had a lot of people to feed (nearly 200!) and she offered great suggestions for dishes and the amount of food we should order. They even accommodated a last-minute request morning of.They delivered on time, with plenty of sauces and even to-go boxes in case we needed them.Tons of delicious food, great service and an all around good experience. We would definitely use them again in the future.

Found this place while looking for a place to eat dinner on a Sunday night while visiting from out of town. Cute restaurant. Very tasty and good food. Hot tea was very good too. Waitress lady was a bit rushed and not very warm and friendly. The waiters were very nice. I had the lemon chicken and chicken fried rice. My other table guests had tofu beef and the beef special posted on the chalkboard out front. All food was very good. I will come back here again. I hope the waitress wont be rushed and hopefully a bit friendlier. You should check this place out.

Delicious food and excellent customer service! Would definitely come back here again! We had the lunch menu sweet and sour pork, and the beef with snow peas—comes with soup, rice, and an egg roll. My beef fell apart it was so tender, and my boyfriends sweet and sour pork was also extremely tender. Haven’t had this amazing of oriental food in a LONG time. The server recommended their Sesame Beef, which I will be definitely checking out next time we come back.Amazing job!

King Chuan is hands-down our favorite restaurant in and around San Carlos. The service is always friendly, prompt, and professional. Aunt Susan always wears a smile and treats guests like family. Most important - the food is DELICIOUS. It is apparent that they use quality ingredients and everything is made fresh. I love their Authentic Pot Stickers, their Stir-fried Wontons in Hot and Spicy Sauce (YUM!), and my absolute favorite is their basic Won Ton Soup which is always comforting and nourishing. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. We are so lucky to have this gem in San Carlos!

While its pretty good Chinese food, theyve recently raised priced substantially without any change in the food quality and with a decrease in some portion sizes. I understand that restaurants are struggling with the pandemic. But I dont agree that the same order should suddenly $10 more. Thats a a big increase.I still like it and will order occasionally. But the increased price will have me turning to other restaurants far more often. Im disappointed.

I spent $38.00 on basic chinese food. Ive had better food and service for less than $15.00. The chicken was barely seasoned and the egg foo young was the worst I ever had! The young man that delivered my food even had the nerve to passively demand a tip! That was highly unprofessional, I still tipped out of the goodness of my heart. Note to restaurant and the delivery guy, people are less inclined to tip when food is super costly!! Especially with it not even being good!!! I wont ever order here!

Amazing Chinese food right in the heart of San Carlos. The restaurant itself is simple, but the food is great and the owner is very friendly. Another advantage is that it stays open late, so if you need a late night snack, this is the place to be. Our favorite dishes are the chicken corn soup, the Kung Pao chicken (which can be made non-spicy for those who dont like it hot - still pretty tasty) and the beef with broccoli. Enjoy!

Ive been coming here since i can remember. My dads favorite almost every sunday. Ever since they switched owners the service has gone down drastically. The prices have gone up and they changed the boxes in which they serve in and so you get less and less food. Very disappointing since the food is good. The upside: Their rice is amazing! The sauce on the kung pao chicken is great. The cheese rangoon is pretty good, as well.However, the two times Ive visited, I have ordered chicken dishes (sweet and sour, and kung pao). Both times, the chicken has come out pretty tough and chewy; basically bad enough that you have to spit out every or every other piece. Not entirely uncommon if you get cheap Chinese food, but given the price, Id expect better quality meat. The most important component (the meat of the dish) at this price I think kills it for me. That and the other review who had photos of a cigarette butt in their food...

We went here on Christmas Eve for dinner - its kind of a family tradition to eat out Chinese on Christmas Eve for us. One of the things we ordered was Mongolian Beef. My wife thought it tasted a bit odd - I didnt think it was terrible, but it definitely tasted a bit weird.Two days later I got the left overs from King Chuan out to eat for a quick lunch. I reheated it in my microwave and then began eating. Two bites in I hit something that was not chewable. I assumed it was a piece of grizzle or something and pulled it out of my mouth. It turned out to be a CIGARETTE BUTT! (See uploaded photos)Disgusting! I will never ever return to this place. In fact I may never visit another hole in the wall Chinese food place after this experience.

My father and I shared a plate of Singapore (could have been Shanghai) noodles for lunch. They were delicious. There was a light curry flavor which did not dominate. The shrimp were good. There were shreds of char sui pork, chicken, and fried egg as well as lots of vegetables. The noodles were thin rice noodles. I love bean sprouts and these were perfectly cooked - still crunchy. The amount of food was generous; this could easily serve as vegetable and starch for 4. Just add your choice of protein or vegetarian entrée and I dont think anyone will walk away hungry.

Pros:One of the few restaurants in San Carlos downtown which is open till midnight.Cons:Pretty much everything else, except may be the place which was relatively clean and service which was not bad for an Asian restaurant. The food was very ordinary and kinda pricy too! I would any day drive a mile further and go to Panda Dumplings for some real Chinese food.
