Had fun, super loud, food is pretty good! Rolls were tasty!Salad dressing was all watery and gross at bottom of bowl.Soup was like stone soup, lol, one mushroom 2 onions. The rice and chicken were the best of all of it. My lobster was chewy and not really fantastic. Was okay.Not in a huge hurry to go back.Overall was okay.

Kobe’s our top choice for sashimi and sushi. We always order Sashimi Deluxe, the fish is so fresh, no fishy taste at all and they serve very thick cuts. I highly recommend their Love Boat, if you love raw fish, it’s so satisfying and good for 4 people. Eating at the Teppanyaki grill is very entertaining. Try their combo options, we had the Filet Mignon with scallops and Fillet Mignon with Shrimps, very tasty.

Such a great choice to be on my birthday! The Chef made it so fun and the food was delicious. We all had the flame mignon and lobster. The noodles and fried rice were also fabulous. Yes, you sit at a big table with possibly strangers but the whole environment invites fun and entertainment! It is definitely American Japanese, but so yummy!

Fun place for a party. Fried rice was undercooked and no flavor but filet mignon, lobster and scallops were good. Nice long list of saki choices. Teppan chef talented but Ive seen better. 3 stars Instead of 4 for food because of the rice and had only iceberg lettuce no cucumber or anything else. Fun getting saki mouth squirts eventhough it was a low grade saki. Grilled zucchini ok but I got no broccoli on my ate like others.

Excellent food. Its all fresh and tasty. Everyone loved their meal (old, young and inbetween). Large portions. Entertaining atmosphere, but quite loud. Friendly service, but we did have to wait 35 minutes to be seated WITH a reservation (Sat night though, so...).

My visit here today was nice, the lady at the entry was nice (siting and just playing on her phone, an older lady so I guess no customers why not)she took me to the seating area told me a server would be by soon, Server lady arrived took my order brought out the Miso soup(Was good!) and house salad (lots of dressing and large cuts of romaine lettuce in small bowl). The Rainbow roll was good and 6-8 pieces not bad. The Teriyaki Chicken over 1/2 of a sliced onion Dinner food w/small cup of rice was good but the large quantity of sliced onions under the chicken was a waste of onion in my opinion. The overall feel in the dining area was good lots of room for a busy dinner hour or lunch rush.Overall my visit was good but al a cart should be an option because $40 was not what I was expecting to pay but Thank you for the 1st time experience and maybe next time will be better!

Went on a Friday night at 6:30, had reservations but waited for a table. It is a restaurant that has hibachi or teppanyaki cooking food on the table, there are 10 cook tops and about 8 tables on the other side of the partitions. We ordered hibachi and a California roll. A soup and salad are included. The soup is a beef broth and has some onions. The salad is a water ginger based sauce of iceberg lettuce. Charlie our chef was funny and had some skill. We ordered the chick and shrimp. The portions are huge and I guess everyone takes food home. So this is two for one deal. The chicken was in garlic and heaps of butter and oil. The veggies also had the same treatment of butter and oil and garlic sauce. Dessert was free for a birthday in our party. The fried ice cream was so good. A bottle of beer was only 4 dollars. Dinner for 4 was under a hundred USD. In this day and age that’s impressive with the portions. I just wish it was healthier.

Entertaining and Fun!!!I went to the hibachi side. It costs a little more and they seat you around a flat grill. You place your order and then a chef comes out and cooks it in front of you. You get some soup and salad while you wait for your chef. The chef will get you involved with the cooking of the food and it makes it really fun. The food is not the best I have ever had but the real treat is the show. Definitely worth doing and I will certainly go back. Best shared with friends or family.

Found this gem on Google and we are so grateful we did. The restaurant is very clean, the staff is accomodating and the food and chefs are amazing. You can tell the chefs love what they do and enjoy putting a show on for you. The ingridents are fresh and of quality. We will definitely be returning and recommending this place to all our friends!

This is a late review. I want to start by saying we went here xmas eve as a last ditch effort on way home from another place. We were only a twosome and was pretty empty (obviously for holiday) but thaey were very nice and sat us and were were able to enjoy hibachi.CALIMARI...SOOOOOO GOOD!!The staff was very nice and service was great!Im not sure why hibachi food is so good but the food here was AWSOME. Also had me a Sapporo beer with some Saki (chef may or may not have giving us a little extra Saki 😁😁)I will be coming back to this restaurant time and time again from here out. I highly recommend. Our first time here and having sushi in this area, we were pleasantly surprised with the variety of rolls offered. For 3 of us on a Friday afternoon it was $83. That included about 5/6 rolls, 2 Bento boxes, and 1 Sapporo. We didn’t think that was bad at all, probably about the same price as all you can eat back home for us. The service was ok, not overly friendly or patient, but checked on us often, collected or dishes and drinks as needed too, so it was good. The majority of our rolls were good, the rice was not the best rice I’ve had, very poor actually. Everything else tasted fresh and good. I didn’t get to ask if they offered a military discount, we forgot. They seemed to offer lots of specials, a different one every day. The restaurant was clean, and a good size the Hibachi side looked really nice and roomy for a good dinner. We would come back.2022 UPDATE!We placed a pick up order and WOW! This is one of the best teppanyaki restaurant Ive had the pleasure to come across. The customer service is good, the atmosphere is your typical setup with an array to tables that can seat up to a large family around a cook top. Now lets get to the best part. The food. I would recommend the scallops with filet mignon combo, but anything off the menu is awesome. Cooked to order, I had it medium rare and it came out perfectly. The fried rice and veggies are seasoned and flavored well. The portions are great! The performance from the chef is also a nice touch. Overall I would highly recommend!

I did Hibachi, and it was very good! The chef puts on a little show and interacts with the customers. The was very good! They have many options. If you dont want to do Hibachi, you can order something a la carte to be brought to the area.

This restaurant is really good. It was a little crowded but that was only because of graduations. I havent experienced their teppanyaki yet so I can only comment on the sushi. It was really good! We had the Snow Mountain roll, the Shaggy Dog roll and, the Tiger roll. These rolls were very large in individual pieces so youre gettinga better value for your money. The fish had great flavor and was very fresh and not slimy. The artistry in which they presented their sushi was beautifully and masterfully done. Their chicken fried rice was full of flavor! Their green tea was very good. The service staff was great and very friendly. The only sort of negative part was that they werent very knowledgeable about what was gluten free except for a soy sauce. At first, they couldnt tell us if any of their sauces were gluten free and then, our server came back and said all of the sauces had gluten, even the spicy mayo which normally doesnt. We had a member of our party who is a celiac so she had to be extremely careful. I would text that they keep some gluten free items around for those situations. Other than that, we all had a great time and great meal. It is definitely a place to visit if youre in the mood for great sushi. I absolutely recommend this restaurant.

First experience. Service is great by way of them wanting to move you out quick so the next people can come and sit. We spent 45 minutes total in there! Quick to refill, quick to cook your food. Chef was decently engaging. Saw other chefs and they were much more engaging, so luck of the draw. Food is fairly decent. Can be cooked better at home but we went for the experience and a birthday. Its costly, would only consider any hibachi for special occasions only.

Wanted to have Kobe beef, but ordered the dinner for 2. Liked the shrimp, lobster and the jumbo scallops. Really generous portions. Husband had the filet mignon and chicken breast. Added garlic and butter to Everything. The fried rice that comes with was surprisingly good. Were told that the clear liquid in the squirt bottle that was added to the fried rice was, wait for it... Sake! It was the first time I tried rice prepared that simply: rice, onion, carrot and egg spritzed with the sake and soy. I must admit we asked for garlic and butter on it. It was good. Would return for that. Our chef didnt overcook my seafood, so I was pretty happy with that. Added g&b to that as well.Very attentive and accommodating wait staff. We called ahead and were seated right away. The food was cooked faster than at Benihana so we were able to make it out of there under an hour.Needs update but good place to eat good rice.

If I could give 0, I would. I celebrate most holidays, birthday’s and any event here as we really enjoy the show that comes along with the food. I took my disabled client who has a hard time turning her head as she has Parkinson’s. We went in October had no problem sitting in the middle so she could see. We go in on Friday at 2 pm, empty place. One table is being used/not even full!!! The lady sits us on the very end and rudely says you start here. I said well we will sit in the middle, thank you. She told us we were not allowed and threatened to get her manager. I said please do, the manager comes out and also states we need to move to the end. He said if no one else comes we can sit in the middle, so we said okay if someone comes we have no problem moving to the end to accommodate. This was not good enough, he said we had to move to the end and then move back if no one comes. My client is very clearly disabled, he did not care!! We have spent $1,000’s over the last two years. We planned to spend $200 or more today. We decided to leave as my client was clearly upset and the confrontation startled her. We will not be going back. It would be different if it were a busy day/time but no, EMPTY! I’m sure the boss of the manager would not be happy to hear how he accommodates DISABLED elderly guest.

Great service and food. Although if you have a large party they make you wait until everyone arrives. My reserved party of 8 was running behind as I got there early, yet I couldnt sit down at a table prior and enjoy some appetizers or sake while we waited. Not very good business they could have sold me more but didnt want to seat us until everyone arrived. Plus I felt rushed in some cases because they are like drink. Soup. Food. Bill. Box. They all seemed unhappy to be there and no one checked on us.You cant beat the prices here on Wednesday and Thursday, this will be my go to spot now every week. I prdered two rolls and wasnt expecting them to.be very big and I was dead wrong.As you can see in the photos they sre massive and I was not able to even finish. Walking away full and having leftovers for under $30 makes this place an amazing deal.Very grateful to have a place like this in Lincoln. More people need to know and tey it out. They even have the teppanyaki ans habachi side to the restaurant. Overall Im very impressed, we where seated quickly and the restaurant is very beautifully decorated.Two thumbs up for Kobe!

Wish I didnt have to leave any stars. This was awful. I have had better Sushi from Raleys. The customer service was horrible. I have honestly never had sushi so bad. I LOVE Mikunis and I thought I would try something closer to home. Never ever again. $70.00 down the drain.... the picture is the wasted food. The only thing we ate was the one California roll... its pretty hard to mess one of those up.

Unfortunately, my family and I have to rate this a 2. The first time my 7 year old daughter found a small fish bone in her roll & instead of an apology when I asked for another roll I was told that we are eating fish. We were charged for the second roll. I have eaten at plenty of Japanese restaurants & this has never happened before. The second time not only was the server very rude she also spilled hot miso soup down the right side of my husbands shoulder & leg without an apology. The bathrooms were also not very clean but the chef was amazing (5 stars)& the food was average, try to avoid if you can. There are plenty of good restaurants in Lincoln to consider besides this one.

Excellent food and Sake, perfect pacing with the soup & salads, then appetizers, and finally the main courses. Definitely recommend getting a bento box here, well portioned and the food was worth every penny. The service was fast and she was very nice, constantly checking upon our group of 5. Also if you really like sushi, the rolls they give you are basically twice the size of a roll elsewhere so you are getting plenty of the ingredients inside which is awesome. Will definitely be coming back next time we visit our family to add pictures of the food to this review.

Let me start by saying the food here is great. The reason for the 1 star is the rude service I got from the receptionist. I just came in at around 11am (my watch). As I entered and proceeded to take a seat, the lady called me back to sit in the lobby and said we dont open until 11am. So I walked right out. Looks like they dont want your business. If you would say that to customers, dont unlock your front door or turn the open light sign on. An unlocked front door and open light sign on means, you are ready for business. Owners should probably teach their employees some HR lessons. I am happy to take my business some place else if youre going to be treated this way.

This was the first time going here. Food was not great, rice had shells in it, vegetables were not cooked enough. The waitress basically made us feel like we were being kicked out. While eating they brought new plates and forks to set the table. Then we were working on our check and the waitress comes and says ok you done with check I take. I was like um no…we are working on it!!! And mind you, she could clearly see that’s what we were doing, Then after we gave the check back to pay they took our drinks before we were even done!!! It was just 2 of us at the hibachi grill. We told the wait staff and the chef I had a dairy allergy before ordering and cooking the food. The chef didn’t give me sauce cause he said it had milk in it. But then the chef cooked ALL the food with butter and we tried to stop him and tell him to not cook anything with butter.. he served us our food. I couldn’t eat it and we explained it again to the wait staff and the chef but we were still charged 150 dollars for food we didn’t eat. They will not accommodate something that is legally protected by law. I am extremely disappointed in this restaurant!!

My son was told that the food here is amazing. We came to celebrate his 18th birthday, first time for any of us. The waitress was professional, but did not provide any suggestions and did not know what was on special. We ordered drinks and an appetizer (shumai) which were brought out quickly. Unsure of what to order, we decided on hibachi dinner combos, chicken and calamari for my wife, steak (medium rare) and salmon for me, steak (medium rare) and calamari for our son. The soup and salad were quickly brought out by a pleasant young lady (who also brought our son his forgotten sun glasses as we were leaving - THANK YOU!), the soup and salad were good. My wifes chicken was ok, her calamari was thick and tough and probably not a good hibachi option. My salmon was good, but the steak was well done and tough. The birthday boy had tough steak and tough calamari for dinner, his vegetables were the best part of the dish. The iced tea I ordered was fine, but the large plastic mug was broken (missing a piece) at the base under the handle and leaking iced tea, so I had to drink off to the side so that the dripping iced tea would go on the floor instead of my pants. We did not try any other menu options. Overall, the experience was underwhelming and I dont expect to be back.

They automatically added an 18% tip and on breakdown it said 18% is for a 6 or more order but we didnt have 6. Food was ok, very oily. They didnt allow any substitutions. But seriously, do yourselves a favor and just drive the 15 mins to Soho Sushi and Teppanyaki instead. The prices are the same but quality is vastly different. Look closely at the photos! That was our mistake. People have varied tastes and all the 5-star reviews alongside photos of “fried rice” that’s just white rice heated up with soy sauce and egg should have given it away. We were watching for maybe some chicken or vegetables or anything with flavor to be added to this “fried rice,” but alas, it’s just bland-o city in here. If you love Kraft thousand island dressing and watery teriyaki sauce poured over limp seafood and steak, this is the place for you! If you like calamari tender as erasers, this is the place for you! For the cost, I prefer a much more… edible menu. I literally just left my whole plate and got In N Out next door. I say this out of love. Please please please look at the photos of the positive reviews. If you don’t want to spend $100 on plain white rice and room temperature tap water, just drive down the freeway a bit.

To go order: Ordered Bento box with teriyaki chicken and shrimp tempura, with a California roll and tempura shrimp roll. Very good portions and well cooked rice and seasoned generously. Sauce was nice, a bit different than I am used to but still very tasty. Same for the salad dressing, no complaints. They do have their own flavors, and they do it well! We got to watch our chefs do some cool things while they cooked and the food was delicious as well, the only downside is how loud it was, but thats to be expected in a place like this so i wasnt bothered by it. Bring earplugs if you have ear sensitivity though because its always loud there for dinner.

Favorite restaurant in Lincoln! We order sushi takeout 2x a month and are always satisfied, never have issues with our order. Fair prices for sushi in my opinion, and so many options. I have a really hard time going anywhere else for sushi these days because I’m always disappointed in other places lol! Best deals are on the sushi entree section. We also love their teppinyaki experience and menu and will dine in for that! We go during lunch because the lunch specials are great portions for the price, and it’s not too busy (lunch specials are M-Sat only I believe). One of the few places left that offer Benihana atmosphere and teppanyaki cooking. I ordered the Filet mignon and lobster tail. My steak was tasty and tender but my lobster was over cooked and rubbery. Server never brought any utensils for the kids so they were eating with there hands until I told the server to bring some forks and spoons. My wife ordered calamari for appetizer and it was rubbery and the breading on the calamari was almost gone. Chicken & steak is always good here but be careful with the seafood options. They tend to over cook them.

Overall presentation and taste was good but the freshness / taste you expect when eating high quality raw fish is just not quite there. You can basically tell its inland sushi. We have visited many teppanyaki style restaurants and this chef was by far the least entertaining we have experienced. Having a 7pm reservation, the rush was clearly over by the time we were winding down with the meal, yet we were rudely rushed away. On our visit the vegetable tempura was a bit too moist but we would still recommend their shrimp tempura dish which contains some vegetable tempura. The teriyaki steak dish was very good and well prepared, but add a side dish for variety if its the only dish ordered. The portions are quite good and if ordering for two either dish alone would leave you both very satisfied, Unless youre wanting a meal for the next day or super hungry!

Our waitress had told us before hand while taking our order that sushi will take 30-35 minutes because they were behind, we said it was okay. An hour later and after we finished our meal and was about to go home. They finally brought out our sushi. Also our chef kept dropping rice everywhere. First off, I will say that though I am giving one star, I will make an effort to try this place again.My post is about the service, not the food.My friend and I went on a Thursday evening for dinner.We were seated pretty quickly despite the social distancing and 25% capacity rule.Over the course of the time we sat there, it took us 15 minutes to get water, after I made a comment about it, though we were never asked for beverage choice or anything. And the waiters/waitresses never came to our table to take an order despite having menus obviously closed. At any given point there were at least three waiters/waitresses hovering around doing nothing, although not looking in our direction long enough to flag them down waa something they excelled at.After about 35 minutes of waiting at the table and nothing happening, we got up and left.So, Ill try it again for the sushi, but more likely than not, it will be take out. We had a guest with us who never been to a restaurant like this before and we told him how fun they are. The rice was on our plates within 5 minutes of starting it. After paying we sat around talking for a few minutes. A lady came up bowed to us and told us we are done. Like basically get up and go. We arranged for 12 persons to have a dinner here 1.5 months in advance, and after 3, yes three telephone conversations CONFIRMING that they would NOT charge corkage fees for our group as we were a wine tasting group in Lincoln. Took a long time to be seated in the sushi area. Staff was short and pretty unpleasant.The two rolls I ordered were placed on the sushi bar (the side customers dine on ) and sat for about 10 minutes until our other food came out.My husbands miso soup tasted bland and honestly seemed like it was watered down.The katsu chicken was also bland and very dry.The rolls were okish. After getting over the fact that they had been passed by multiple other customers and staff before being delivered. When we went to pay there was an already completed evaluation form that said the waitress was excellent! Asked who I think is the owner, and she said she forgot but she will just copy on to ours! Great prices and great food. I like the half off sushi on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, but their full priced specialty sushi is likewise delicious and well worth the price. Half off sushi means you get to have more sapporos, which is always good.

Staff were very friendly and kind, awesome show, unfortunately the food had no flavor whatsoever...lobster tail didnt even taste like lobster...sushi had no flavor...the sauces were good and the diet cokes...seriously...food had no flavor...wont be back to eat!

I like hibachi/teppanyaki food, so this could be biased. The restaurant is never really busy when I come, so there isnt really a wait. The staff is nice and the food is great. I always get hibachi, but the wife has tried the sushi and she said it is, Alright. Great lunch prices Mon-Sat.

We LOVE this place! The food is really good and the hibachi chefs make it fun as well. They serve sushi as well. The restaurant is divided, in one area you have the regular tables and the other one has the hibachi.

Walked through on a Sunday afternoon during lunch to find plenty of availability. We were promptly sat down and welcomed for our first time there.We ordered the Teppanyaki (food cooked on table grill) and two appetizers. Both appetizers were very mediocre. The gioza filling was very bland and the outside was soggy. Worst, was the yakitori. It consisted of tough, dry, tasteless chicken breast with a few vegetables smothered in sauce. I took one bite and immediately set it aside. Later we were asked if everything was ok with our food and I pointed out my disappointment in the yakitori and the waitress just smiled uncomfortably. We were still charged for it.However, I did point out that we greatly enjoyed the rest of our meal that was cooked in front of us. The steak was properly medium rare as asked and the seafood tasted nice. Rice was flavorful and the cook had an upbeat attitude that made us enjoy the experience that much more.I just dont think we would become regulars at this place, which is a shame because we immensely enjoy the idea to support the local restaurants. Maybe well have to find another one outside of town where we can enjoy other stuff on the menu.

Do not come here for sushi. It is overpriced and disgusting. The inside of the rolls were filled with mush. Literally, mush. Gross mush. Paid $12-15 per roll for mushy and meatless rolls. Also ordered the spicy edamame which was flavorless and tasted like it was microwaved. Ate 2 bites of each roll and 5 pieces of edamame and had to throw the rest out because it was so bad. Will never be coming back here again.

Decently priced for normal prices for sushi. Ive had 5 or so different rolls and the shrimp appetizer. The rolls were big and really good. I cant remember the names of the rolls but the 5 i had were all really good. The shrimp appitizer was really good. Cant remember the name either, sorry. Just know they have good sushi. I havent tried their teppanyaki but what Ive seen while there it looked good. After this long review lol what im saying is you wont be disappointed. Give it a try

This is a fun place to go with the kids as it’s a little bit of an experience. The chefs are interactive with the kids and make it fun for them as most teppanyaki type places do. I think it’s a little expensive for what you get and the sushi isn’t very good. The Teppanyaki food is good though.

Told them my shrimp and crab allergies they not only shared the hibachi with another party that ordered shrimp and touched my steak right next to it but also gave me the wrong sushi roll I ordered that WAS ALL CRAB WHEN I TOLD THEM IM ALLERGIC. Currently puking in the way home because I ate the end of my sushi roll without realizing they gave me the wrong roll.

Nice place - one side is chop-chop and one side is sushi. All the food is good and Wed - Thu sushi specials are a great bargain. Service is hit or miss but generally is good enough.
