2023-06-07 22:19:57So the reason why I visited this place is because on tv, it was on top 100 burger spots on yelp ( actually it’s KoJa Kitchen Berkeley that’s on top 10 spot ). So, we tried their best seller and it was alright. The meat was tasty, sweet and cooked nicely. The buns were actually fried crispy rice. It was very filling so I’ve only had half of the burger and felt full. Although it’s on the top 10 spot, it’s not really my favorite and for me, the meat is just too sweet for my taste as I’m not really into sweet stuffs. Maybe we will try the chicken sandwich next time. The drink is fine, not too sweet so it’s good for me. The fries is good, crispy and not too salty.

2023-08-27 23:27:05We went here in the Westfield valley mall and it was so good. I ordered the Korean BBQ beef tacos and their fries. The tacos were amazing and had so much flavor. They were cooked well and the sauce was delicious. The serving size was also perfect. The fries were okay as it’s just topped with siracha and spicy mayo. But I cannot recommend the Korean BBQ beef tacos enough because they were great! Will come back again!

2021-11-21 06:28:51Came here for lunch on a busy Saturday evening because most other restaurants were closed and Koja had one of the most interesting menus!I ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad (Ahi tuna, wasabi mayo, seasoned edamame, seaweed salad, imitation crab salad, green onions, masago, wonton crisps, soy ginger dressing) and fell in love! It was such a perfect balance of sweet and spicy and crunchy and just everything! The tuna was really fresh and everything went amazing together. I didnt have the soy ginger dressing because there was enough flavoring in the salad itself.I had also asked for extra greens on the side and they gave me so so much! Most restaurants only add a tiny amount but Koja did a very good job. I was very happy with this meal.I also got the Teriyaki Zen Koja (Soy and portobello mushroom patty, sesame vinaigrette lettuce, pineapple, teriyaki sauce, sesame seeds), and oh my gosh! Another beautiful one! The crispy rice buns were really so crispy and the overall texture and flavor and everything was just perfect That pineapple added such a good touch and this soy amount was just perfect and I just have no more words. Definitely definitely recommend this one!My boyfriend got the Chicken Bowl(Korean BBQ chicken, spicy gochujang sauce, kimchi, green onions, masago, sesame seeds, lemon wedge, fried onions) and he really did like this one. The chicken was good and ingredients or went well together as well. He had half rice and half salad and was happy with the meal as well.I tasted some of the chicken and it was quite good - cooked just right and flavored well as well.He also had the Chicken Koja (Korean BBQ chicken, sesame vinaigrette lettuce, tomato, cilantro, spicy gochujang sauce, sesame seeds, lemon wedge). It looked quite massive and had the same chicken as the bowl. He liked it, but as far as flavor goes though, that Teriyaki Zen one was a lot better!I couldnt recommend it more!

2022-11-24 02:49:19Its amazing to find great food at a food court in the mall of all places. KoJa is an Asian fusion kind of restaurant. My wife enjoyed her beef KoJa in between crispy rice buns with some type of Siracha flavored fries and I liked my fresh ahi tuna salad.

2021-07-15 01:09:44Only issue I had was crispy chicken sandwich came with 2 thin patties which was mostly batter instead of one thick one. The fries were excellent. For the short rib bowl was a bit too fatty but tasted great. 😋 order took along time and this was the first time the sandwich came this way. 8/10

2022-05-15 18:43:59First time got to try KoJa and we loved it. We opted for a chicken bowl. Spicy gochujang sauce in the chicken is the open secret ingredient, which is also in most of the dishes here. It’s spicy but not too spicy for us. Fried egg($1.50) is optional which’s just okay. Kimchi and greens were too cold for us, can be served at room temperature for better experience. We’ll definitely go back for it.

2023-02-05 00:47:58Good food but kinda pricey at around $20 per person for a good meal and drink.Besides the mall atmosphere and local beggers bothering you while eat, its a good meal place.

2022-02-15 21:43:56Walked around the food court hunting for lunch while shopping, and this placed looked the best! They had an ad for the soy garlic chicken wings and I am easily influenced by yummy-looking pictures :)The server was very friendly, and my food came out at a reasonable wait time. The wings were tasty! Flavor was definitely there and wings were cooked well. The reason for the 4-star rating was the portion size is a bit small for $9. The wings are not especially plump, but could just be what I got.May come back to try some other dishes next time!

2021-09-16 23:52:29My friends and I stopped by Koja Kitchen for their SojuCorona drinks and some kamikaze fries to eat along with our Ding Tai Fung meal before going to watch Shangchi! The SojuCoronas tasted amazing (not much alcohol) but they were delicious! As for the fries, this may be a controversial opinion but I rate them higher than the animal fries from In N Out LOL
