Don’t order the Koja short rib .I went here on June 9th and ordered The Original Koja. (Short-rib sandwich) The place itself looks a bit run down and unclean. The food came out hot and genuinely thought it tasted good. However, 4 hours after eating I’m 99% sure I had food poisoning. I ate leftovers I made for lunch and had nothing else to eat unusual until eating here. My brother and his wife ate here too but they ordered other things snd did not get sick.Would not go back.

I ordered a chicken bowl. It looked nice with the colors. However, the food came out only room temperature. Chicken was tasteless except a bunch of spiciness. Even the rice was cooked wrong: too much water but undercooked. Overall I was disappointed. This would be the last time I went there.

I’ve been a Koja kitchen fan for 6 years. The quality has been slipping for a while but now it’s nearly inedible and I won’t be back. The rice buns spend too long in the fryer, the beef is over cooked, tough and gristly. The pork is so salty you feel sick afterwards.

The food was lowkey horrible like really bad tbh. Didn’t finish it, under seasoned and waaaay too much mayo. Plus they were playing a really annoying Christmas movie really loud. I was the only person there lmao. The cashier was on her phone while ringing me up.

Such a great find! Its perfect for a quick bite. We have tried the following: chicken katsu/pork/short rib/beef bowls, and my favorite, the kamikaze fries. Everything has been delicious. I recommend trying this place at least for the fries. They occasionally get our orders wrong (one delicious item swapped for another), which is my only complaint.

My recent experience at Koja Kitchen was quite disappointing. The overall service was terrible. It seemed like they were severely understaffed, with one employee, Christina, handling the entire place. She appeared overworked and had a poor attitude. We waited for about 10 minutes without anyone saying anything, and when we finally questioned if there was someone available to help, we were met with disrespect. To make matters worse, the food was subpar at best. It was not the pleasant dining experience we were hoping for.

They asked me if I wanted to get my food for dine on or take out when ordering. We said we were dining in, but when the food was ready it was still served in takeout boxes. Kinda wanted my food on a plate but I guess someone really didnt want to wash dishes🤷

Just dropped by for lunch, lets start from the beginning:- the ordering process was pretty normal and smooth, the cashier guy had some problems with the receipt machine but it was all good in the end- we ordered 3 things: short rib bowl, braised pork bowl, and the umami fries, it took about 15 min to be ready which was relatively quick since there were plenty of people before us in line- the food itself was really good! the portions were pretty filling and worth it for the price, the seasoning and sauce was on point, we had no problems with any of the food. the braised pork was cooked really well and had a crispy outside. my favorite was the umami fries they were sooo good- overall i would definitely come again!

Food is great but service sucks. Cashier could barely look up from the show she was watching on her phone to take our order.

I went in expecting a standard Japanese teriyaki type of place, not Mos Burger crossed with Korean so the menu was confusing and I didn’t know what to expect from the sauces and such which made for a really long and embarrassing pause standing in front of the clerk who is waiting for your order. Eventually, they rescued us in that the wall menu is bare bones but behind us there was a stack of “paper” menus with actual descriptions of the menu items. Most “single” (main dish only) items come with rice so the combo that adds (waffle) fries seems kind of unnecessary but if your rice has been compressed into burger buns I guess you might want fries to go with although the combo, which also comes with a fountain drink, is a big leap up in price. The brown rice option for my choice was very welcome. I have no idea if they also do burger bun form rice as brown as well. When I asked for my katsu sauce on the side they also sidelined my salad dressing so bonus points for that (and a thumbs up on the special order fulfillment). Our order was filled quickly, hot and tasty. My only disappointment is that of the sauces on the counter for our use, soy sauce was not one of them.
