What a fantastic find. Fine dining quality food at extremely reasonable prices. The restaurant was packed when we got there with several people in line and still only waited about 10 minutes for our food. The food was hot, fresh, authentic, and fine dining quality, all in a casual setting. For only being open a month they show a refinement usually only found in places that have been open for years. I have no doubt that this restaurant will be successful and that they will have much future success if they decide to open more locations. I highly recommend you give them a try if youre looking for authentic food at a great price with fast and friendly service! AAA+.
Tried them today - totally in love! Everyone was so friendly. The girl who took our order was helpful and made great recommendations. The chef also personally came out to make sure we were enjoying our meal. I got the spicy pork with a side of the house hot sauce (incredible), and my boyfriend got the chicken katsu (also came with a great house dipping sauce). The bacon potato salad was my favorite side. We will definitely be coming back!
Had the spicy pork. Foods was just ok and is pricey given the quality. The meat isn’t cut to smaller pieces so hard to chew on. Been to lots of Korean restaurants and had much better foods with the same price. there are tables for inside for dine in and the place is clean.

Pretty good, only reason Im giving it a 4 star is because Im 6ft 235bls and wish it was a little more for my appetite. My wife usually has leftovers, not here, but its the combination of small portions and good food.

Fresh food. Owners really care about the quality and ingredients. The owner / chef came to greet us and ask us about our experience, he was very pleasant and cared about the trade and his guests. He treated us like old friends. Amazing food. Best bibimbap Ive had, and I was blown away by the katsu chicken. It was fresh and juicy and prep (literally breaded) to order. Will definitely come back. Korean food usually tends to be a bit pricey, but this place has fair prices and high quality food. Totally worth it. You leave feeling very satisfied and not sluggish. Will definitinetly come back as long as they continue to keep the same high quality food and service.Edit: 2023I recommend to eat when the main chefs are cooking. Otherwise not worth the price, wait, or portion.
Love this place. I travel to Woodland often for work and always make sure I stop in and have lunch here. I have had most of the menu items, and they are all awesome. The pork and the salmon are probably my favorite, but nothing is bad!
The food was spectacular! The service was friendly and personable. We’re from out of town so we tried several dishes - stone bibimbap, bulgolgi japchae, spicy pork sandwich, musubi, berry tea drink and Thai tea drink. They were all delicious! Each dish had a variety of vegetables and was incredibly flavorful. We were also impressed at their decent portion sizes and presentation.Most people order to go because their restaurant is a bit on the small side. However, we’re glad we dined in because it was like heaven just being able to eat the food fresh off the grill! I don’t think it would have been the same if we ordered it to go. Highly recommend!
The guy at the register who greeted us set the tone for the experience. Then, the food came. It was a comfortable delicious lunch. There were people coming in who clearly are regulars. It was my first time and wont be my last.
Have ordered food here twice to go because place is small and tables don’t seem to accommodate more than 4 people but the food is excellent. Good portions and great flavor. It is a bit more pricey but it’s worth the money. I don’t usually like tofu but just had their tofu stir fry and it was delicious. My 4 yr old loved the japchae. The cucumbers given on the side are green exquisite and the kimchi is just right. If you’re not eating here you’re missing out on excellent food.

Great food but staff is hot and cold otherwise Id give it a much higher rating. The women chefs were friendly, the guy not so much. He walked right past me and I said hello with no acknowledgement what so ever. We went twice in 2 days because the food was so good and the (man) chef was unfriendly both times.
Kuji is in a renovated small footprint Starbucks. Im not sure that there are any four seat tables. Thats not a problem for the two of us, but I wouldnt plan on eating in with guests. The food is great. I cant say if it is authentic Korean, but it is tasty and plentiful. Staff are friendly and efficient. It is an asset to the neighborhood.
This is the best spot in Woodland and Davis! The K-Chicken Sandwich is my favorite item on the menu. The sandwich itself is amazing and the fries are to die for (hint: ask for the aioli to dip your fries in)! The house milk tea tastes great and the pearls are amazing. The boba is $1 off when you purchase an entrée so its only $3 for a great drink. The owner is extremely kind and even seems to recognize me despite me hardly going there, and the rest of the staff is awesome. Perfect spot for a more casual date!
Drove from Sacramento to check this place out and it was awesome! Food was really good, got to talk with the chef/owner, being a cook myself I was interested to hear his story. Friendly staff, nice place, really clean too. Will definitely be going back. I highly recommend supporting this local, family owned business. Out of all the places my girlfriend and I have eaten at, we finally found a place we want to visit a second time. Cant wait to see what else they will put on the menu or have for specials/new dishes. Hidden gem not too far off the freeway absolutely delicious! Fresh ingredients authentic Korean flavors. Bibimbap and spicy pork plate both made fresh as we waited quick friendly service.
The food here is excellent and the staff is super friendly! We havent tried everything on the menu yet, but so far all the dishes weve had we would happily eat again. The chicken katsu is good quality chicken, the bulgogi has a great marinade, as do the kalbi. My husband loves their potato mac salad and my favorite so far is the bibimbap. My child has a peanut and tree nut allergy and weve had zero issues eating here. The only thing on the menu they have with tree nuts is the poke bowl, which has macadamia nuts. The chefs are very careful not to have any cross contamination.
Had heard about this place through a friend so we decided to go for lunch on Sunday. The place was packed! Thinking we wouldnt have anywhere to sit, we place our order to go. No lie the food took a while, but by the time our food was ready, there were seats so we ate there. The food was exceptional and a large portion considering it was lunch. We tried the spicy pork lunch, bibimbap, and spicy wings. Everything was well cooked, well seasoned, and well worth the wait. Service was friendly. Will definitely go back!

Awesome food and excellent guest service. Upon arrival, you are readily greeted by the cashier and kitchen staff. After trying most of the menu, my favorites are the spicy pork plate, stone pot bibimbap, k-chicken sandwich, and a side of the potato mac salad. Their rotating weekly specials, typically announced on Fridays via instagram, are fantastic!
Their bibimbap and japchae were amazing!! Im Korean and I loved their food!! I didnt think I would because it didnt look like an authentic Korean restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend.
Great spot for some Korean food and the staff is crazy friendly. The portions seem small and the plates expensive but WOW. The flavor is amazing and you are content when done. The flavor and the overall atmosphere here makes me keep coming back. Seating is limited so be prepared to eat outside or take it with you.
So happy my wife and I found this place! Had the Bibimbap which was phenomenal, especially the spicy sauce. Looking forward to trying the Poke Bowl and the Spicy Pork on my subsequent visits back. Upon leaving owner/chef asked about my meal which was nice. Glad to have a place like this in Woodland!

Hidden gem!! We were driving on I5 and needed some lunch. This place came up on yelp so we gave it a try. Their lunch selection was awesome!! Everything was so fresh and delicious. We loved the Bibimbap and the K Chicken Sandwich. Try the homemade hot sauce too!
I know they have no shortage of good reviews but I just have to add mine! Lovely, lovely staff, cheap, delicious and healthy food. I can’t recommend this place strongly enough, I’ve brought all my friends and family here. You won’t find a menu item that isn’t delicious, but I seriously love the Tataki salad, the Bibimkuksu and the Bibimbap.
This place is excellent for the location\area it is serving. Prices are slightly elevated for the area, but can be considered cheap compared to a more metropolitan area. We ordered several dishes and sides, and they were all consistently good. The char level of the meat was excellent. The cuts of meats were slightly thicker than Im used too: bulgogi ever so slightly tougher, and the kalbi twice as thick as other restaurants, might not be a bad thing, but its harder to eat\chew. The establishment is rather small, but is spotless. Only 1 table area that will take up to 6 individuals, 3 tables for couples, and several bar-style solo seats; there are a few outdoor tables. This is definitely a great place to dine when in the area.

Kuji is very good. Aside from a slightly limited menu, everything Ive tried there is always fresh and tasty. Their Spam Musubi is pretty much better than anybody elses. They put the Spam on the grill so it gets the nice sear marks from the grill and then they baste it a bit while its cooking, so its very tasty. The pork belly salad is really good, with the dried mushroom and fried garlic chips and pickled onion. I was a little hesitant about the pickled onion because I dont like raw onion, but the pickling makes it completely different, and it went so well with everything in there. If you havent been to Kuji, youre missing out and you should go.
I order my favorite dish every time. I highly recommend Bibimkooksoo, with extra vegetables . The cold noodles and the sauce is something youll come to crave.. Plus the Staff is always friendly and extremely professional. The food never disappoints.

What a gem this place is! An excellent addition to woodlands culinary Fair. Love the stone pot and the poke.the place is clean and the staff is very accommodating and friendly. Theyre happy to explain any dish and or modify if desired. The food is fresh and creative. You wont be sorry if you try it :-)

I got the bibimbap and my wife got the chicken katsu that came with small portions of kimchi, Hawaiian Potato salad and Korean pickled cucumbers. The bibimbap was amazing and the gochujang added the perfect amount of spicy, fermented flavor. My wifes chicken katsu was very well cooked, the chicken was very plump, juicy and seasoned while the breading complimented with its crispiness. All of the sides were also phenomenal. The staff was very polite and took the time to answer questions that an older couple had about the food while continuing to cook behind the counter. Some of the best food I have ever eaten and the best overall dining experience Ive have ever had. This place is a hidden gem.

Had the bibimbop and scooped in some kimchi from my husbands dish. Everything was delicious, especially with some gochujang added in (they serve it on the side so you decide your heat level). Honestly I was really impressed with the dish and it was delicious! Husband also had the blackberry boba tea and it was SO good. Wed definitely come back in the future!
Great new spot with terrific food and warm friendly ownership. Been twice and looking forward to coming back often.Update: Have been here 4 times and it looks like this will soon be my go to spot for great eats. Been working my way through the menu and every dish is better than the last. There literally are no holes in their game but the bibimbap is the crown jewel; I mean its a bang-orangutan! Their real secret weapon is the ownership. Kai and Suji are about as passionate about food as they are likable. Their story is straight out of a movie and their food is a bright shining star in Woodland. Keep it up you guys!
Visiting from Seattle, coming back to SF from Kings game - its the best you can do! Absolutely delicious, prices are steal!!!! Excellent service (remember to tip, its not included on the bill). Bibimbap was perfect, to the point. Katsu chicken sandwich flavorful and crispy. Be hungry - for this price its A LOT OF FOOD! Boba is surprisingly good too. I wish I could come back next week ❤️
Kickass Korean fusion food. Great lunch or dinner bowls with very rich flavor and also light and full of veggies. Theyre pretty unique and adventurous with their flavor combos but not so much to scare away a picky eater. Highly recommend stopping by and supporting a good local family business like these folks. They have a happy following among us ambulance folks here in yolo county.

We love this place. I love the salad, but I get chicken instead of pork. They have fried chicken, and it comes with potato salad. Today I tried the royal milk tea. The tea bags steam in milk instead of water.

I love this place because I appreciate eating at places where you can taste, feel and see the passion and hard work chefs put into the food! This place does not cut corners, with the owner/chefs even making the Korean pickles, marinades and sauces (including the mayonnaise) from scratch.Kuji’s bibimbap is probably the best I have had. Bibimbap originated as a dish of leftovers over rice and at some restaurants it feels that way, but not here! This dish at Kuji is made with a variety of fresh tasting vegetables and the meat is delicious. It’s served in a stone pot, which makes the rice on the bottom toasty and crunchy. When you mix the rice, vegetable, meat and egg together with their red pepper sauce, it’s like heaven in a bowl!There are also several other stand out dishes. The fried chicken sandwich is served on thick slices of toasted bread. The chicken has been brined for 24 hours, so it is moist and flavorful. It also contains a slaw tossed in fresh vinaigrette. My Korean-American husband cannot stop talking about the deliciousness of their bibimkooksoo and he usually tries to avoid carbs. Their salmon, chicken wings, spam musubi, takai salad and kalbi are also excellent. If the pork belly noodle special was on the menu again, I would order it. The pork belly was marinated in miso paste, and then it was sliced, seared and placed on noodles stir fried with fresh vegetables.This order-at-the-counter place is clean, the chefs and staff are friendly and the place’s modern furniture and plates add to a very pleasant atmosphere.
This is my favorite place in the area! Its a fresh and modern take on Korean cuisine with Hawaiian influences. Everything is housemade, right down to the sauces and the kimchee (and if you know anything about kimchee, you know that is not a small chore). And these folks really know how to cook. If youre in Woodland or passing through on I-5, I highly recommend. Its right off the freeway, about 2 min from Woodland Costco.
Good authentic Korean food :) Kalbi (Marinated Korean Short Ribs) and Spicy Pork are really good. The side dishes (pickled onions & cucumbers, kimchi, and potato salad) are good too :)

I find it ridiculous how your asked to cover up your nose with a mask while there are customers on the table with no consumption or eating. and yet dont make a big deal out of it. But order will not be taken if my face mask is not fully covering my nose and mouth .

As we’re leaving they said “sorry, have a nice evening” treating customers like this is not good for business. The hotpot bibimbap is my favorite item to order. I usually request it extra spicy, and the chefs do not disappoint. This is by far my favorite Asian restaurant in woodland.

The chicken was good but I think I prefer the traditional spam.Looking forward to my next visit.

2023-10-26 22:20:32Omg, talk about Mmmmm! Who doesnt love a good Bimibap Bowl loaded w fresh veg and an ample portion of bulgoki bbq beef! The location is small but Ive never not found a seat. If youre claustrophobic it tatses just as great if you get it to go and have a picnic somewhere with wide open spaces!

I love the back story about the owners: a couple merging their names to create Kuji, and working hard to bring their favorites to us. Im eternally grateful; the food is delicious. The kimchi is homemade, so is the Sriracha-type hot sauce. I get extra kimchi with every order. They also have the most delicious Korean pickles.My favorites are the pork belly salad, stone pot bimimbop, the K-chicken sandwich with extra aioli, and now, the tataki seared tuna salad. SoooOOooo goooOOood. It had slightly spicy, thinly sliced tuna that had been sliced after searing. There was super flavorful dressing that didnt drown the salad. Shaved (I think) jicama, or maybe it was that Japanese white radish. Avocado, and of course greens. I cant say it enough, how delicious it was. Crunchy and crispy, soft and smooth, savory and slightly spicy, fresh and yummy!They have a couple different flavor teas and boba. The berry tea is pretty good, but I always get Thai tea, no boba.I dont think Ive ever had something I dont like. I always want to try something new when i look at the menu, but I just love my favorites! Most of the time, I feel like the portion sizes are perfect! No box to bring home, no hassle. Every bite super satisfying. But, every once in a while, I want a bit more.. not because Im still hungry, but because its that good.Try this place, ask for the pork belly salad or whatever you want, you wont be disappointed.Anyway, thank you, Kuji, Im so glad I found you.- your loyal customer
