Heard about the place from a friend, didn’t know what to expect to be honest. But I’m very very pleasantly surprised and I will definitely be coming back soon! The service was great and the food, oh my, the food! I loved the Mongolian Trio and the Battered Shrimp. You can tell the food is made at the moment, and portions are quite nice for the price as well. Glad to have found this gem and hope I can come back soon with more friends!

As soon as we entered we were greeted by friendly workers. The establishment is clean and vibrant. There was no wait and was instantly helped (it was about 1 hour before they closed). As we waiting I noticed all the nice art that was in the restaurant, great energy and vibe.Everything we ordered came out in the appropriate time. Every dish we had was yummy. I liked their style of walnut shrimp... lightly flavored...not overly sweet...slightly crispy! The hostess, the waiter and the cook checked on us to see if everything was good and refilled out drinks. Over all the experience here was awesome. All the workers there are friendly and awesome!! I hope everyone who comes has a similar experience and or better.

This place has been on my list to revisit for a while. It has been at least a solid 5 years since my first and last meal here; the last time I was here, I ordered a chicken dish and there was a piece of a bone left in my dinner, I bit down on it and cracked my tooth with the filling in it! 😂 I have never been back until now. We decided to stop in for a quick bite and see what weve been missing, if anything; and to have an objective opinion about the food. Honestly, the Kung Pao Bowl with broccoli and steamed dumplings were just, meh. The taste of their food isnt bad, but it just never seems to really wow, me. Pretty consistent across the board. However, the service is always fast, with very friendly staff. The restaurant is clean and can accommodate a lot of guests. Unfortunately, for me, it will only be, The place that broke my tooth...

Food is great. A huge upgrade if compared to Panda Express but for almost the same price. Why go to Panda if you have Kung Pao Bowl?Usually no wait time since a lot of their business are orders to go.The restaurant is very clean. I will definitely come at least once a week.

My favorite Best Quality and Best Price Incredible Chinese food place. You just cant beat best quality ingredients made the right way and great prices to boot. The triple winner Trifecta. The Three flavors Kung Pao Lunch was a no brainier 🧠. Excellent quality meats, huge shrimp in a spicy balanced sauce. Just right. I had to order Three Meats Chow Mein to go and a great dish. Again fantastic beef chicken and shrimp I ordered mine spicy with quick stir fried beautiful thin Chow mein noodles and freshly sized veggies as well in the chow mein. My pictures tell you everything you need to know. If you dont come to the Kung pow bowl in Westminster and come inside to sit down and order well I feel for you you just dont know what youre missing. Very posh very stylish very clean and very classy everything you want and a great place to eat see you soon 😋😋

I recommend this place with reservations. Food was great! Got the lunch special Mongolian beef with fried rice, hot and sour soup with egg roll. Everything was 🔥! Egg roll was one of the best Ive ever had. Mongolian Beef had great cuts off meat and a semi flavorful sauce. Service was horrible...no one checked on me after food was delivered, no drink refil and they did not pick up my check. If you can get over the bad service this is one of the best chineese food restaurants in my part of OC!

First timer here.Loved this little gem!From the outside I was a bit sceptical but believe me, it does not dissapoint.I had the fish with ginger and scallions and it was fantastic! My Dad and I have been going here for over 20 years. The best quality food, large portions, and they cook food after ordered. The owner, the entire staff friendly, and respectful. While the food is of decent quality. The staff is less than friendly, and the portions have gotten super small. We live right around the corner, so we love going there was a favorite but I just can’t keep going there anymore. Went there again today only to solidify my choice of going to Gteat Wok over on Warner and Goldenwest. Much friendlier staff, better portions and food quality.

Very dissapointed in my last experience. Ordered for pick up last night and got orange chicken and mongolian beef. The beef was good as usual but the orange chicken was horrible. It seemed old and like they heated it up in the microwave. The orange chicken is usually really good a lot of sauce and some crunch but the one they gave us was soggy and no sauce. I’m very dissatisfied and not happy with what I was given with this place usually being such a good place. Most likely will be taking my business somewhere else after the experience i’ve had. Sad to see a good place like this go

Prices for entrees were a bit on the high side for Chinese food but my complaint is about the front male attendant.

We finally tried this place for dinner about a month ago. WE LOVED IT! Got the Mongolian Trio, Broccoli Beef, & the Cream Cheese & Crab meat Wontons. This visit, we also tried the Walnut Shrimp with a sweet cream cheese sauce. It was all delicious, but the Wontons & Walnut Shrimp are OMG wonderful.Were here on our third visit & everything tasted wonderful again.Service the first two visits was attentive & they didnt even get irritated when I spilled hot Egg Flower soup all over my husband & the table & the floor.....This current visit, however, our waiter is rather unfriendly & seems like he would rather be anywhere else. No doubt this is a one off. (Fingers crossed!)We will definitely be back for more.

Had better service in Chinatown. I ordered Kung pao shrimp and the lady that works there told me I said Kung people chicken. I said no and she still brings me the chicken and as I said I didnt order it she complained to the owner about the I didnt order and they didnt even want to apologize or return the food back even tho I ate it it was way too spicy and I wasnt even able to get a refill on my drink. . I will not be returning here bad service and bad attitude

I had the hot and sour soup and the Mongolian beef. They were both very good. It was a little bit pricey but the food quality was excellent. Too bad they dont have indoor dining right now I would have loved to have sat down and had a whole meal inside. But that will change in the future. Weve been coming here for a few years now and they always make you feel welcome like youre part of the family. All the Employees are really nice. Food is excellent here, love the pork fried rice and the beef chow mein. They have these cute animal paintings on the walls that my granddaughter loves. The restrooms are always nice and clean. Ate here recently. It started off OK. We arrived and got seated right away at one of their nice booths. Not even 2 minutes after and the server was already wanting our food order. Theres not a particular server assigned to a station. A different server came to take our order. First, our food came out quickly and was not hot as if cooked fresh. I ordered iced tea to drink during my meal I needed a refill and no one came to my table to ensure everything was OK. I had to flag a busboy to request a ice tea refill. Then, he took a while before coming back. So, I flagged another person and right when the 2nd server came to my booth, the busboy grabs my glass and takes off to get me a refill - strange. It was as if he remembered he was supposed to have gotten me an ice tea refill. Then, no one came by at all to ask if all ok. Just a different server brought over the bill and put it on the table and walked away. Then, another lady server brought over to-go small styrofoam containers and left. Finally, busboy came to take my check to the front and we waited until the main lady got off the phone before my bill was charged and brought over to my table. My 1st impression is that friendliness is not something practiced here. For what they charge for basic Chinese food, at least it should be friendly. I wont be coming back.

Each persons opinion may be different. Here is my experience the first two times I went here it would have been 4 out of five stars no complaints. This time I visited I rate it a two the staf is quite non friendly very quite and while everyone was at the table was still clearly trying to eat dinner they gave us the check and I did not feel welcomed that they wanted us gone before we even finished our food. Keep in mind it was a saturday 5pm non super busy and they close at 9 pm. Ps. Last but not least the food had good taste but.. gave everyone the runs.. yuck.

My GF and I just got take out from here, and not only was the Mongolian Beef, and Combination Fried Rice, the best I have ever had, but the owner was there to personally introduce herself, gave us two free Thai Iced teas, and shared some stories about her 18 YEARS of being in business, as we waited for our food. This is 100 percent the best chinese we have had in Huntington Beach, and one of the nicest restaurant owners we have ever met... Bravo!!!!!

I love this place for lunch! The lunch specials are a great value and the food is outstanding. I have many Chinese options closer to me but I go the extra distance to dine here. If you like hot you must try some of there special chili oil that they prepare there and have on the table (or did before COVID), its hot and very flavorful.

It had been years since we had been here, and tonight we decided we wanted Chinese food in our own community of HB. What a wonderful surprise to find such amazing food and great service. My husband had the house chow mein and I had the Mongolian tofu--we shared egg fried rice. We arrived one hour before closing and when our food was served, it was fresh, hot, and DELICIOUS! Lastly, the Oolong tea was everything I needed to top off this magnificent meal. We will definitely be back soon with the kids.

Ive been coming to this restaurant for eight years. My husband and I eat here 2-3 times a month. The food is prepared well and consistent which is better than most restaurants. We love their kung pao chicken, Mongolian beef, garlic beef, honey walnut shrimp, and fried rice. Their butterfly shrimp is best eaten fresh instead of ordering as take out. They have brown rice as an option at no extra charge.

This is my favorite Chinese Restaurant in the United States. It is not too fancy, but I like it. I feel like a part of the Family every time I walk in the front door. They have Hot and Sour Soup that is second to none. The menu is easy and yet varied. You simply choose a variety of ways to cook the food (Hot, Sweet and Sour, Mandarin, Orange, or about 10 different ways), and which protein you want cooked, (from Beef, to Chicken, Shrimp, and more), and it arrives just so wonderfully cooked. They have Specials, make sure to check out the Specials board, as well as seasonal wines and other goodies. I have only eaten at one which may be a little better, but Meinz, Germany is a long way from here.

I ordered food to-go and a fairly large order, so I figured it would take a while as well as possibly be incorrect. The person I spoke to over the phone was nice but there was a language barrier and when I tried to explain where I lived, he wasnt understanding. Finally he got it down correctly and we were able to start my order. I was told it would take an hour. An hour went by and no food and no call. About 1 hour and 20 minutes later I got a phone call from the delivery driver. He had no idea where to go so I gave him step-by-step instructions, but he still wasnt able to figure it out. So I walked out to the middle of the street, walked down the street, and waved him down. He handed me my food and I said thank you and was about to leave when he said, wheres my tip? I said umm, no Im sorry but Im only paying for my food. Im not going to 1. give someone a tip who was 30 minutes late by the time I got my food, so it was cold, and 2. give someone a tip whos requesting one, like youre deserving of one. What the heck. To make matters worse ... the food was only mediocre. It was cold and tasted blan. No flavor to it. I dont recommend this place.

The fish is breaded and fried to a perfect texture, and the sauce is flavorful!Considering the name of the restaurant is Kung Pao Bowl, I certainly had to try one of their kung pao bowls. Their kung pao shrimp is delicious! They mix in a lot of chili peppers along with scallions, celery, and peanuts to give the kung pao shrimp this intense zing.Ive also tried their Fried Rice, Chow Mein, and Curry Chicken. Ive been satisfied with every dish thus far!Good customer service as well.
