Best sushi in South Bay! They have a huge selection of fresh sushi and basic (super excellent) sashimi choices, in addition to udon and many other items on their menu. Their prices are ridiculously low!! Every time I go there I order atleast 8-10 varieties of sushi sashimi and other dishes (like tempura), and my bill has never gone over $50! Their service is also fantastic.

Revolving sushi bar, pick what you want off the belt. You can order off the menu and the food gets delivered on another belt. Wasabi and beer are served by a robot. Multiple options to choose from sushi,sashmi, udon, ramen . We went on a Monday afternoon and didnt get any wait time

Great place for revolving Sushi. The sushi are very fresh and delicious. They use a robot to deliver water and wasabi which is very cool. Watching the sushi moving on the belt is also very interesting. And if you order a sushi, instead of taking it from the revolving belt, it will take another belt and run fast to you. A very interesting and different experience for eating sushi.

Kura revolving sushi is the first ever sushi bar that I visited which had the interesting system of using a conveyor belt to cycle through a bunch of sushi plates to distribute throughout almost all the tables (minus the bar). I loved every moment there; being served food by a cute machine that plays music as it goes to attend to a table; the gatcha game where you collect a capsule prize for every X number of empty plates you return by putting it in a cleaning disposal slot at the table; and ordering additional items or specific sushi dishes off of a touch screen if you dont find the plate that you desire on the conveyer belt. The restaurant itself is very clean, with strong sanitary measures in place (i.e tables separate with a small wall, all sushi belts on the conveyor belt covered with a lid).The restaurant is also pretty high tech, with its robot waiters and conveyor belt system. But all of these perks come with a price, and thats the cost. Kura sushi is definitely on the higher end of prices, costing almost $4 a plate during the time I visited. The place is very busy and popular here, so best to reserve a table an hour or two beforehand. Other than that, Kura sushi is a must-try experience for anyone looking for a unique sushi experience!

It is a fun place but the food is absolutely mediocre. Youll get basic rolls and nigiris compared to the ones in top places like Mizu or Kenji. But the price is fair at around 3.5 dollars a plate. All in all it is a decent experience but I wont go back

This place is so much fun and has good sushi options. If youre coming here for high-quality sushi, youll probably leave disappointed. But, the food is still good and flavorful. I loved the dessert options, and it was also so much fun counting plates. For every 15 plates, you get a little surprise gift dropped onto the table. It was really fun to experience with friends, and well definitely be back!

The experience was great because youre able to already eat when you enter. Its a matter of understanding the concept. It was our first time here so we were not explained about the process so we had to call the waitress to ask for the explanation. After knowing how, it was a fun experience. We really enjoyed how easy it was to order or get service if we needed to. The food was good, we will look forward to returning in the future.

Download the app and get ahead of the line! Long love the conveyor belt sushi. Outside of the misleading opening time, the overall experience was good. My daughter enjoyed entering the empty plates into the discard slot and was entertained by the short video clip for every 5 plates inserted. Food quality was good for what it is and the service(including the robot) were great.

My first revolving sushi bar, it was really tasty and delicious. I would say my favorite was the crunchy roll and I really like the bots bringing us our drinks. The plates were very affordable in my opinion and I got my moneys worth here. If you’re looking for a revolving sushi bar, you should give this place a shot.

Quite busy on weekends with 1-2 hr wait via irl (fri-sun) waitlist. I like their gachapon collabs--available after 15 qualifying dishes. My favorite food here is the sake nigiri (salmon), though I believe there could be room for improvement in quality for the price. Not AYCE so always have to be conscious of how much to eat haha 😅 Worth a try at least once for the experience.

I was like a kid in a candy store! Beautiful food, plates game is epic, quick, revolving! What more can you ask for.. oh yeah have the bot bring you your drinks! So worth the wait. Sushi is fresh! The small plates are ideal to try various foods. Our bill was 110 for 3 ppl. We normally do damage at restaurants but they are reasonably priced and we had a great time

Pretty fun experience! Yummy food and several unique dishes. The cost of the meal racks up pretty fast though as each plate is fairly small. Everything is pretty automated, but our special prize machine didnt work. Once youve eaten 15 plates, just make sure a tiny ball rolls down at your table or ask a server for your prize.

My 9 yr old has been obsessed with Kura for years. It’s fun, cool, and decently priced. The sushi is good and fresh… nothing amazing… but good. This isn’t a traditional sushi bar, you get what you get and you don’t get upset. 😂We enjoy going with our kids, the younger ones want to put the plates in the slot & like to take turns punching in our orders. The ordering is done through an iPad at your table… then a conveyor belt delivers your order… or you can grab what you want from the plates cruising around on the other conveyor that goes around to every table. Drinks are delivered by robots… so it’s cool to experience & feel like you’re in a future / anime world!Here are the highlights: it’s not ridiculously expensive… everything we’ve tried tastes good… cool/quirky/fun/robots… + sake and beer for adults = good times!It can get busy so you may have to wait during rush hours… but the service is quick… you could literally eat something the moment you sit down.Just try it! If it’s not your thing… cool. At least you know what’s going on in there!

Im a big eater and my fav food is sushi. Whenever I visit Kura Sushi, I spend around 100 dollars avg between two people pretty easily. Im really spoiled in terms of sushi cos I spent almost 2 decades in East Asia alone eating decent sushi every other day. So my sushi reviews are always harsh, even when I eat at highly rated sushi restaurants in Japan..... So keep that in mind.Kura sometimes has bad days where their sushi tastes really off/fishy. Sushi should never have that taste if its fresh. Leave early if its one of those days. Most other days, its fresh enough that Kura Sushi is known as the place to go to enjoy fresh sushi in the area. That being said, you wont know what fish selection will be available that day. It usually feels somewhat limited so Ill usually end up eating just 2-3 types of fish repeatedly per visit. Their rice is a hit or miss. Sometimes its perfect, other times its a crumbly mess, once it tasted like it was actually going bad so I threw it away. Sometimes their fish is still frozen, at times you get worse fish by ordering directly rather than getting it off the conveyor belt. So the keyword for Kura is inconsistency.The restaurant is hard to reach if you dont have a car. Theres nothing to really do in the area (just other places to eat), so the fact that lately you have to go in person to put your name down and wait for an hour or more is tedious. Before, you could reserve a table online, but rn you cant for the San Jose restaurant.They have a cute mini game where you get a random gift that rolls out above your head in those little plastic coloured balls for every 15 plates and before that a little animated cartoon plays on the screen. Sometimes the machine breaks. It ruins the mood when they have to bring you the toy/gift themselves so I saw that they made a little box to put your hand in and pick one for tables where the machine is broken. I thought that was awesome (esp for the kids). You can buy those little gifts separately too via the menu screen. Sometimes they have promotions going on where they give you bigger gifts for spending a specific amount that runs on top of that mini game they always have. Both smaller and bigger gifts are related to the current promo/collab. They recently ended their demon slayer promo which seemed super popular. The photo you see is the phone stand gift we got for spending over 100usd (thats including tax etc so you dont have to eat 100usd of sushi alone). You can check for those promos/dates on Kura Sushis website. They do run out of stock for everything eventually so its better to go earlier than later on those event dates.Despite everything, its fun to try out all their different menu options. They added an automated server robot that brings you drinks etc which is cute. Ive only really seen variants of them at airports before. Anyway, its a pretty fun time with the mini game and the revolving sushi so I eat here a few times whenever I visit San Jose.Side note: Last time I visited, there was a group of Chinese ladies in their 20-30s at the table behind us (possibly tourists like me?) forcibly gripping the plate covers, opening a bunch somehow and not taking the plates... it was ridiculous. Its a health hazard so I wish staff would pay more attention.The plates are confusing to pull out of the cover when you first use Kura Sushi, so ask for help if you dont get how to. There are helpful signs and images telling you how at the tables too. My best advice is to grab the plate and push down against the brown base of the device the plate is placed in with your fingers never touching the lid itself. And the fingers holding the plate would pull the plate up at the same time. This actually auto releases the lid. Its intuitive, but can feel confusing and hard at first.

I did not expect much in terms of sushi quality of this place as I imagined the draw is it’s gimmicks but I still left a little disappointed. Probably top 5 worst sushi I have ever had. The rice is over vinegary and the fish is not fresh. Things I did enjoy were the kaiten aspect, the robo drink server, and the gacha. The service is very good as well as there was a mistake in the delivery of one of our items. For the price and for the wait, I think it’s fun to experience one time but I personally prefer higher quality sushi without the frills.

Very busy on the weekend. We tried to reserve through the app but no reservations available and only can sign in person. We got there when it open and waited for 35 minutes. Once we were seated, the waitress asked if it was our first time and surelyit was. Waitress informed us that they will go over the instructions on how to use the ordering machine and how to get food from the conveyor belt.Once everything was explained, it was time to dig in. We ordered from the menu before getting sushi from the conveyor belt. Food was sent to us using a conveyor belt and our drinks were brought out to us from a robot. It was pretty high tech. Weve been trying to come here when we visit and finally got to experience what it taste like. I expectedthe soup to be in a bigger bowl considering the price but it was still satisfying. Also the soft shell crab was fresh out of the fryer but the portion and the price didnt go hand and hand. The sushi was good. You have options to choose from as they were passing by. It was a good experience!

Average sushi served in a fun experience. There is usually a wait time to get into this spot, expect at least 1 hour wait during prime time. Once you are seated you can grab any plate of sushi that’s revolving. You can also order a specific item via the touch screen at your table and it will be delivered directly to your table via a separate conveyor belt. Each place is $3ish, each plate has anywhere from 2 to 4 pieces of sushi depending on what you get. When you’re done with each plate, you dispose of it via a special door on your table. It automatically counts how many plates you’ve taken. Once you reach 15 plates you get a tiny prize, which is cute. Highly recommend for the experience but don’t expect gourmet sushi.

I think it’s more about the experience, they have gatcha machines and robot delivering drinks which was fun, but knowing the prices are much higher than Japan and also in Japan you only need 5 plates for the gatcha (here you need 15…) is kinda crazy. Best thing for me was their sweet shrimp, but other fish qualify (and size) was really sad. Would not come back again :(

The really enjoyed this place. The sushi is fresh. The atmosphere is nice. We ended up with 14 plates and the total was around 48 dollars. Theres even a game when you insert your dirty plates into the slot. We won a prize too. The only bad thing, the sea urchin was not that fresh.

We had to wait over 2 hours to be seated, thankfully there was parking right in front of the restaurant. The sushi was delicious but what bothered me was the cleanliness of the place. The caps of the sushi when you order were not clean/washed. Cleanliness of this place definitely needs to be addressed. Also, they didn’t have the taiyaki dessert available.

The food was delicious and the price is fair. The servers and host were great and courteous. The only reason why I gave the place a 4 star is because the waiting time for me is 30-45 minutes. They dont have a waiting tables or seats inside. The 1st time we waited 30 minutes outside in the rain. It was cold and windy too. About 7:30pm. The 2nd time the wait was about 45 minutes. Beside thats I would highly recommend this place. My favorite thing to eat is beef udon. Super flavorful! 😋

Awesome, novel food experience! Super fun to sit by the conveyor and watch the food go by, drinks are also served from a friendly-looking robot which was a great surprise! Sliding the plates into the dish return is also surprisingly satisfying. Just be careful not to go overboard grabbing food from the belt, as the cost can quickly add up 😅.My only critique is that the rice wasnt as sticky as it could have been, so most of my nigiri pieces fell apart very quickly after I picked them up with my chopsticks. Overall a very fun experience, definitely recommend checking it out!

A big chain! Love the idea and this location does have many tables vs counter seating. $3.25 per for most dishes, not cheap, but the quality of most were pretty good. Really like the real crab meat CA rolls, salmon skins, scallops. The hamachi kama was pretty good, small portion for $6.70. the custard desert was no good, unfortunately. One thing though, they charged $3.30 for green tea which we didnt ask ahead of time since in other countries and many other Asian restaurants, the tea was free. No wonder most customers ordered water instead.

The atmosphere really reminds of revolving sushi bars in Japan, thats the high point in my opinion at Kura. Service was pretty good too, but I didnt give 5 stars in service, since waiting for 1 or 2 hours before you can get in the restaurant doesnt help at all. Besides the ridiculous waiting time, the big disappointment was the food. Its good sushi and it has a nice variety, but its just not great. Well, I guess that reminds Japan again, where revolving restaurants are notorious for low cost sushi, not for best food.

Great presentation at this place. The revolving bar with the digital menus is a great idea for any tapas restaurant period. All food is delivered on a conveyor belt next to the table. The plates are $3-7 each and you even get a small prize if you can eat 15 plates at your table. Whats not so great? The incredibly long wait times combined with the subpar food quality are the two biggest negatives for Kura. Overall, bring someone here once to live the revolving sushi bar experience but not worth a second visit.

Theres really no interaction with any server after you get seated, drink order and then when you want your bill. A few sushi plates were different and good. Not a lot of choices in comparison to a sit down place with a menu to order from. Not a place Ill be rush to come back to (note: each plate was $2.75 on the revolver. Other available items could be more, and a few that are less). Sadly, this place does not offer WIFI :( reception is horrible inside!

This place was a lot of fun. My family enjoyed our time here that we visited twice in the 10 days that we were in the area. Although the sushi was better one time than the other, we would visit again. We had our drinks delivered by a robot which the kids enjoyed and having food delivered on the conveyer belt was so fun. We also get a little prize ball for 15 plates and if it doesnt come out automatically just ask and they will be happy to help.Overall, great time, would visit again. It does get busy, so keep that in mind, wait time can be 60+ minutes during dinner rush.

ADDITIONAL NOTE - I got a reply on this review about 2 hours after posting. Im impressed at how quickly the review was noticed and hopefully some of the issues will be taken care of the next time we visit.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------I honestly have such a love/hate relationship with Kura Sushi. I guess I can sum it up as such: Come for the experience, but not for the food. First off, steel yourself - the wait, even with reservations, is ridiculous. You can only make a reservation through their app and even if make a reservation - say at 6:30 - you may find yourself having to wait an hour to get a seat. The reservation system is ridiculously flawed, and honestly, if my kid didnt want to eat here this badly, I wouldve left the line.The experience eating here is an absolute delight. The sushi revolves by each table/counter, you can order directly from the screen at your seat and it will be delivered on a separate conveyor belt above the revolving sushi conveyor, there is a nifty little plate return that keeps track of how much food youre shoving down your gullet, theres a adorable little robot that delivers drinks around the restaurant, and for every 15 plates your party finishes, you get a capsule toy (we got adorable little DC Comic magnets).Now the food...its honestly about as good as Safeway sushi. The rice is heavily packed and shaped using a mold, the fish is fresh but ridiculously thin, and because theyre revolving around the restaurant, fried rolls are normally pretty soggy by the time you get it. Ive found that ordering handrolls is the way to go - they may take a bit longer, but the fried ingredients will be piping hot, and if you like sushi such as the spicy tuna rolls, youll get WAY more tuna in that hand roll than you will in the two piece nigiri offered. That said, avoid the spicy tuna, its minced down so finely, the texture is super unappealing (hello cat food country). As for variety, its pretty decent and the kid loved grabbing what she wanted off the conveyor belt herself.The tables are not particularly clean and I absolutely dreaded touching the soy sauce and ginger containers. Our soy sauce container was oddly sticky and leaking and the ginger container wasnt much better. After observing a server clearing a table, I noticed they barely wiped them down. Given how many kids sit at these tables, you are probably touching containers that many little hands have played with. Dont even get me started on how gross the plate returns look - thats where the servers shove all the bits left on your table into.Finally, the service....because its a conveyor belt sushi place, dont expect to see your server much except when the bill is to be paid. Most of these kids are friendly enough, but theyre usually standing around chatting with each other a lot - perplexing to say the least when an 18% tip is requested.For two people with 15 plates eaten, we paid around $65 before tip with only water requested. Again - if youre looking for quality sushi, you can get WAY better sushi with actual service elsewhere at a similar or better price. HOWEVER, just for experience, you probably wont find conveyor sushi anywhere outside of Japan, so you get what you get. As long you can handle the wait, its a fun place to eat, but I will likely stick with other sushi restaurants when Im feeling like satisfying a sushi craving.

Overall this is a fun place to eat! The dishes come around on a conveyor belt, or you can order a dish via the tablet above head. (Some dishes are *only* orderable via the tablet). And to remove your dishes, you feed them down a slot and every few dishes trigger an animation and even a surprise capsule (gachapon). Most dishes are $2.75. The main advantage of eating here is being able to try many different types of dishes without the commitment of ordering whole rolls. And its fun to grab off the conveyor belt. And the price is decent. The sushi is pretty good. Some are better than others. You would get better quality sushi at a regular sit down restaurant. I liked the new volcano roll, the popcorn shrimp roll, golden crunch roll and the Japanese donut with ice cream for dessert. I also cant forget to tell you about the long wait. Its a fun and popular place to eat, so be ready to wait awhile. Parties of 2 get seated faster than larger parties (typical for all restaurants).

I really liked the ease of ordering your food from the menu and gets delivered in front of you on a conveyor belt system in a short time--sort of like the future of food service. The price of the items are very reasonable but it can easily get higher the more items you pick from the menu--which you will. The place is clean, orderly and servers are attentive and friendly of which are ready to give you a quick rundown if youre new to the place. Weve been been there twice in two weeks already. Before getting there, you can reserve a table online or get a number on a tablet next to the front door and reserve a table, then listen for your number to be called. It gets busy there most of the normal hours (lunch, dinner) so plan your visit.

It was very hot inside the restaurant and lots of people were waiting outside to be seated. Very popular place because of the amazing sushi and its on a conveyer belt that comes out on little dishes for you to take. On my birthday they gave me a free desert of my choice. Got here around 12pm and put our name on the wait list through the tablet located right outside the front door. Make sure you do that as soon as you get there instead of trying to flag down an employee to ask. If you have the app, I suggest using it, but an employee mentioned they turn off the app on the weekends. Youll get a notification via phone to head back towards the restaurant but you should also keep track of what customer number they are servicing.We ended up getting a booth in the back which was great. The concept is pretty easy to get, you either grab items off of the conveyor belt or you can place an order through the tablets.All the items that we got were delicious and the fish was definitely fresh. They dont actually use too much rice which is great because its not filling. I highly recommend the crispy rice with any toppings that they have. We also have their taiyaki with ice cream and it was actually pretty good. They have feature items on the menu, so be sure to keep an eye out for those!Your meal can get very pricey so please be aware of the items that you are ordering. Prizes are given for every 15 plates ordered, but you can also buy the items for under $4 if you really want them. Staff is pretty friendly and attentive.

Negative review overall by far because Kura cannot come anywhere close to managing their demand. App is terrible and lists a 45-55 min wait time as an example and wait time ends up being north of 2 hours plus. Throw in poor management in holiday and weekend demand and people end up leaving and going elsewhere. It looked smaller than most California rolls and the rice was falling apart and the crab tasted like it was on its way out the door meaning expired and old. He didnt finish it and we just pushed it to the side. Then I tried a dish and the rice was falling apart with the touch of a chopstick so it was obviously not normal. The beef I had tasted sour so anyways next i tried the crispy fried chicken and when it arrived it was like all nasty looking and tasted awful. Next my sons Miso soup arrived and when he went to use his spoon he noticed it had some crusty stuff already on it. We asked for a clean spoon. Like seriously how could you have missed that yuck. The only thing out of about 10 items we tried I enjoyed was the sesame balls. We even ordered the doughnuts and they tasted odd and not like I have had at the other location. The food did arrive though quickly and that was great for we were starving but it got to the point where my husband dint want to eat anything more because everything he had so far was disappointing. Then to complete the trip as my husband was paying the bill I used the restroom and it was dirty and smelly. That was enough. TLDR: Its fun and, at $2.99 a plate, worth it if youre willing to wait. I recommend you add yourself onto the wait list ahead of time on Yelp so you dont have to wait in front of the restaurant for over an hour.Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is a sushi boat bar with a more modern twist. When entering Kura, you are presented with a line of people sitting side by side with, back towards the door. Walking through, the bar itself is winding through the restaurant, in what looks like an extended snake. The bar itself is where the conveyor belt is. The conveyor belt rotates the sushi and nigri around the restaurant, and the customers are able to take whichever plate they want. Whenever they are finished with their plate, they dispose of it into a slot in front of them. In the end, the total number of plates are counted and you are charged per plate. There are both bar seats for smaller groups and booths for bigger groups.I went with someone else and we added our name onto the wait list early. the wait was nearly an hour, so I highly recommend you do it on Yelp before even leaving the house. The process is quick and simple; just grab, eat, and dispose. At your seat, there is a screen that works as a menu for you to order specific plates, a counter for the number of plates, and a little game that gives you a prize if you are able to eat a 15 plates. The prizes are usually small knick knacks such as lanyards or erasers, usually stuff you already have at home or too small to be used unironically.The food itself is okay. For $3 a plate, its hard to argue with and even harder to justify going. Nothing you get feels like a waste but I do recommend you not get anything that you would normally need to get right after it died. Overall, I would say go and try it out, make sure you add your name onto the wait list early, and enjoy your plates of sushi coming towards you constantly.

Im not a fan of raw fish, but this revolving sushi bar has plenty ot options for anyone: ramen bowls, fried takoyaki, onigiri with beef on top, cooked shrimp, egg (tamago), etc.The dishes go around over an over, including a small sign of what is coming, and you can either grab a plate from there, or order fro. Your tables tablet. In that case, the sushi comes on the top of the track.Additionally, the tables have a place where you slide your empty dishes and the system automatically counts how many you ate. Wait time is way too long for the weekend with many empty seats yet the line was moving slow. 1hr+ wait estimation.The food is not that great. 3.60 for most plates of sushi (4 pieces). I would recommend the hand rolls since they are more filling. At 15 plates, you are supposed to get a random capsule, but the machine didnt give us one. It discovered later it was just some LEGO things and not a keychain or anime thing unfortunately.

My girlfriend and I love going to Kura. The quality of the food is not the best sushi in the world, but its such a fun experience having sushi revolve around a conveyor belt.We always make an effort to have at least 15 plates so we can leave with a prize. However, it feels like their prices are always slowly increasing each time we visit. Its getting expensive to go here.Since we are familiar with their long wait times (~1.5hr wait), we try to come a bit earlier to beat the crowds. Luckily the area is great to just walk around and kill time.

Very long wait times and theyre quite strict. If youre not there when they call your taken off the list and have to get to the back. Line is typically over an hour wait unless you come at off times like after 2pm and before 5pm. It forces you to wait outside the whole time so you wont risk missing. This place is more about the fun of the revolving bar than the food which is average at best, especially considering options for sushi at this price level in the Bay Area. If you really really want a converter belt sushi experience then this is one of your only options outside of SF. Otherwise, Id recommend people to go find a casual sit down sushi place where youll get better quality food and more of it at a similar price point.

This place is a lot of fun for a decent price.They are open from 11:30am - 9pm.They have improved their waiting system. Just go up to the iPad in front of their store and sign in. They will text you 15 minutes before your seat is READY! This means you can go, sign in for all your friends and text your friends a link that shows when your table is ready!Plenty of parking all around. Either on the street, across the street at JCPenney or under the 800Apartment parking.The wait is roughly 3 minutes per party. So if you are 40th on the queue.. youll be eating in 2 hours and thats about the average wait time. There is a karaoke and bowling nearby.They give incentives to keep eating. Dont be sucked into defeating the ninja. When you finish 5 plates, a cartoon will show you to defeat the ninja and the only way is to insert more dishes. 15 dishes will defeat the ninja and you will get a prize. The prize is either a sushi pen, notepad or a phone decoration. Its not worth it, but I am always tricked into reaching 15. Dont do it.How does it compare to Zensen? Zen sen is $1.75 and they dont allow tips. This place is $2.25+ and they want tip. Yes, food quality and service quality is a lot better at Kula.Pros- Ordering on the iPad is a lot of fun. This is fun place to have some decent sushi with very reasonable price. All plates on the revolving belt is under $3. Fish is very fresh, and sushi quality is better than average sushi restaurants. Some of my favorites are salmon toro (new dish in 2019!), sweet shrimp, Hokkaido scallops, mayo sealed Samson, toro and mackerel. We usually go there on Fridays, and finish our meal with 15 plates so we can get a bonus “egg” (lol smart trick to make you eat more). There was one time we went with 4 ppl, first time passed 30 plates and then realized the animation started to repeat. Please create more cities in the anime! Saw the advertisement of Kura on a local newspaper and decided to try this revolving sushi restaurant with friends. We went around 5:40pm for dinner on a weekday, and the wait was already about 50-minutes long. Though we didnt enjoy the wait, we liked how their system was set up--customers input their party info. and phone # at a computer in front of the restaurant, and would be notified via text when its about time to get seated. This enabled us to walk around and still not miss our spot.We liked that there were sushi bar seatings and booths to choose from. And we liked the computerized ordering system at each table. Seeing the ordered dishe zipped to our table like a train was fun. We also got a little surprised gift inside a plastic ball that rolled down from the machine above the table, when we got 15 dishes.Service was average. All the drinks (except water) were charged the same. We didnt like that we had to ask for wasabi and the soy sauce dish from the server.The real disappointment was the food. Some of the dishes were already sold out so early in the evening. The sushi rice was of low quality and poorly made. It fell apart very easily. It was expected that a decent sushi restaurant would know how to make sushi rice at the least. Some fishes (like salmon) were fresh, but some were obviously dried out. There were also not many variety of sushi to choose from. Worst of all, one of us had a bad stomach after the meal. Not sure if it was spoiled fish or unclean utensils. Definitely not returning just for this.With the total price we paid for 3 people, which was around $100, it was not worth it. That money could be better spent at another sushi restaurant with little or no wait time.

Dont come ti Kura for quality sushi. With that said, what really bother me at this particular location and on this particular visit, their credit card machine was down. However, half way through our meal, they said its back on. When we checked out, we did self check out and processed our check. It went through and my card was charged. However, as we were walking out the door, the waitress and manager ran out after us accusing us not paying.. it was so embarassing and rude at the same time. I showed them the charge made on my credit and the email receipt from their system. Yet they still looked at us as if we were lying to them. I will not go there again.

This restaurant emulates conveyor belt restaurants in Japan, but unfortunately at a significantly higher price than what you would pay in Tokyo.Overall, the fish quality is good. Some of the fish can be hit or miss in terms of being high quality. Nothing is ever bad though. Service is slowly transitioning to completely automated, with robots delivering drinks and wasabi. The servers are relatively quick when you request them.Download the app and join the waitlist remotely if possible. The wait can balloon to over two and a half hours very quickly, even on nights in the middle of the week. After a while, the wait list closes and you have to arrive at the restaurant to put your name down. Earlier is always better!

This place has taken carousel turn for the worse. I took my wife here this past weekend to treat her. We waited 1 hour and a half for a big let down. My wife is from Japan, so her displeasurement of Kura was on full display. So much so I had to cut the night short come home, and pop some frozen pizzas into the kitchen fryer oven. For the rest of the night she talked bad about the fish / sushi / soup selection and preparation of the Sushi was well below subpar. Sadly to say, even as a Hebrew myself, not being Japanese.
