Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ
19620 Stevens Creek Blvd #150, Cupertino, CA 95014, United States
When taking about Japanese restaurants, most people will think about sushi/rolls, sashimi, udon, tempura,or teriyaki. Actually Japanese BBQ is also a choice, a very good choice.Gyu-Kaku is a very unique Japanese restaurant serving Japanese style BBQ. They have really good selections, and prepared in a nice way. The reason I gave 4 stars because of their prices. Their lunch is about $20~$25 p/p, but dinner is easily getting to be around $75.00 p/p.Lots of people knowing about hot sake, but in Gyu-Kaku, you must try their cold ones

During holidays, you have to make a reservation in advance to get a seat, otherwise you have to wait.March 2924 I came here again today. In fact, we come here often, not every time we upload information. Delicious ?

Really really enjoyed my time at Goggi Cupertino. Loved the low tables and the shoes off policy. Would highly recommend the clay pot rice, especially the Tori Soboro Meshi ?The egg blending everything together made this dish amazing ?Would definitely come back in this very cozy Japanese restaurant ??
Kikusushi Japanese Restaurant

I Heart Bento
10129 S De Anza Blvd, Cupertino, CA 95014, United States
This place has a great interior. Small, not meant to be a sit down place. Geared toward take-out.I got their chicken teriyaki bento box. First of all it looks stunning. I wish it tasted as good. The edamame salad was great. But the chicken was very dry and tasted like it had been cooked/reheated multiple times. Also the prices are a lot. I would have snapped a pic, if my battery didnt die inside the restaurant. This costed $10.95. So dont go by the Yelp prices anymore. Definitely $$.Overall, great ambience, food left something to be desired. Probably wont be back.
Yoshinoya Cupertino
19825 Stevens Creek Blvd, Cupertino, CA 95014, United States
TOTALLY CHAOTIC EXPERIENCEI ordered through the app. When I arrived at the store, they told me they didnt have my order. They found my order after about 5 minutes. Then, they told me my two combo bowls order only had one item per bowl. I had to pull out my order confirmation email for them to copy over. Then I wasnt able to reimburse my coupon. I told them that thats what the instruction at the app said to do. I showed them the app where it says to Redeem in store. The app doesnt give a chance to use a coupon before completing the purchase and yet the store said the coupon couldnt be used once the order is completed. The person at the counter did offer me a cash reimbursement which I declined. I appreciated the gesture but I told her Im mad at the system not working and not so interested in a few dollars. The point of ordering online is to minimize time spent in the store and to avoid touching cash during this pandemic. When my order was finally filled one of the items was incorrect and they gave me a separate container for the item I actually ordered. It took 25 minutes to go through this experience inside the store while it was raining outside.I dont think I will revisit Yoshinoya.
Yayoi Cupertino
20682 Homestead Rd, Cupertino, CA 95014, United States
I came here looking for a bento type of place, that serves most foods over rice or with soup. Also looking for a lot of nonseafood items for my guests and family since they prefer to not eat seafood. Yayoi specializes in western Japanese cuisine called Teishoku, which looks kind of similar to bento boxes.Yayoi is located right next to Chipotle, with the light brown door it's a little hard to see the entrance. When ordering your food, they have the booklet menu, as well as, on their ordering tablet. This place is surely modernized since everything is ordered through the tablet (even water).《Food》What I ordered for myself was the salmon don, matcha tiramusu, and jelly anmitsu. The salmon was fresh, over a bed of shredded egg over white rice. They also gave a small side of wasabi and soy sauce. The tiramisu was sweet and delicious, as well as my anmitsu. Although, I think they used canned fruit in the anmitsu and the portion size was kind of small... my guest said their katsu don was pretty sweet, tasted like the staff put sugar in everything and that his portion was smaller than e《Customer Service》So there were a few issues with service since the ordering tablet takes away from personal service. When they brought out food, a server spilled a little soup and didn't clean it up. We had a table of 5, one being on the edge so the lunch trays were getting in the way. So one server recommended to take away a tray to make room for everyone, which was nice. But when my grandma asked for her tray to be taken away, a different server seemed hesitant to and almost refused her. I felt like, if a server was okay with it then another should be okay with it too. My grandma is very traditional Japanese, so when it comes to going to modern places, she expects the service to be of what she's paying for. Overall, she thought the service was terrible for the price of food we got.**UPDATE**Came back and ordered their Katsu Toji with my family of 4 at lunch time. I don't know what their issue was, but they were super slow at serving our food. The appetizers came in the middle, and a huge wait gap per dish. So my Katsu Toji tasted like pure sugar? The egg, onions, rice, katsu was so sweet I couldn't eat it. And the big issue with my food today was the pork katsu tasting not so fresh?! It honestly tasted like it was frozen and not even cooked at some point? Felt like I was served some chewy-inedible piece of fried pork for an animal.. not sure if I'll be coming back.

Sushi Kuni
10211 S De Anza Blvd, Cupertino, CA 95014, United States
I have been coming here for the past 10 yrs. The sushi is among the best in the south bay. This restaurants caters to the more traditionalist sushi mavens with outstandingly prepared sushi. They are quite innovative with a variety of sushi preparations not often found in other Japanese restaurants. This is by far the best sushi restaurant in the South Bay.
Benihana

I & my wife were visiting our children & grand children living in Pleasanton & Mountain View in California, from Oct. 19 to Nov. 5, 21. It was my sons birthday & just a day after his sons (my g-sons) birthday, we decided to go to Benihana, a Japanese restaurant & celebrate both of them. Best decision we made. It is an excellent restaurant for Japanese style cooking. Fresh food crooked right in front of you. COOKS were amazing & very entertaing for my three grand kids 7 & 8 yr olds. Food was hot & delicious. Every body was extremely polite. They did sing Happy Birthday. Most remarkable thing was, General Manager, Mr. Michael Blecman, personally thanked us for visiting the place. I was impressed. I picked up a card before we left place. Michael, I assure you, when we visit Calfornia next, we will drag the whole family crowd & visit your place for good time. Great job. Congratulations. Keep it up.
