2023-06-30 23:03:44Kwando Buffet wins hands down compared to a higher rated buffet yet gets less stars. Why wins? A few good reasons: seafood is readily available, and many dishes very tasty. Meats are not frozen and basically taste as they should. Selection is plentiful for the price. Kwando also serves Chinese selections, I was mildly surprised as to how agreeable was their Hot and Sour Soup, one of three varieties. The Hibachi section surprised me with their selection, specially fresh eggs? Yummy indeed! Desserts variety an added plus but perhaps plain offerings, including the serve yourself soft ice cream, whether the real variety or not, will find plenty of takers. Place clean, efficient staff continuously on the job. Water lacking, stick to drinks, which may be extra? If included, how can any crowd go wrong. I even enjoy fresh octopus grilled to perfection, and fresh mussels. Tasty! Sushi, which we did not partake, constantly being made. Quite an array of options, that’s for sure. At least 4 Stars 🌟!Returned 7 days after my first visit, compulsive behavior? Perhaps. The sad thing about it is that this second time, food no longer seemed as well prepared as the first time. Still the place is very busy as is not a place that lacks servings of food. This place is for the voracious appetites that keep going back and forth, not for the gourmet insistent. Food a plenty! I just thought this second visit would be as good as perceived was the first time. My enthusiasm was diminished but quantities remain the same. 3 Stars.Word to the wise. Big difference between lunch and dinner, yet price is the same. Case in point: wanted to find Duck 🦆 as it is a rare place that offers it. Turns out is only served on the weekends, and particularly at dinner time. Today the lunch was considerably less appealing, of what I’m sure the dinner will be, but seems like Saturday and Sunday are the big winners in the end. At best 3 Stars.

2023-10-01 03:13:04Came here for lunch, $14.99 for lunch which is pretty reasonable now. Drinks excluded.Food quality is above average compared to other chinese buffets. But the thing to go for here is the hibachi grill and make your own plate. Ive made all meat dish, noodle dish, veggie dish, they will cook regardless pf what you have on plate. Quite a few selection to choose from including squid, octopus, shrimp, etc. They brought out soda refill before i was done with my 1st one.Pleasant experience overall, many family with kids so dont hesitate to bring your kids as well.

2022-11-04 02:39:55I loved it, the only thing I think they need to change is the fact you are already paying for 1 plate so the first plate you should be able to take home for free, instead I was pretty much charged again for the food to take it home. So 16.88 + 11 for one of the first plates and around 7 extra for the other on top of the main amount to be paid. The food was good, bathrooms were clean, they were on top of making sure our drinks were filled and taking away dirty dishes.

2023-11-01 23:15:26Buffets are usually a hit or miss with freshness but because kwansos is Poppin they are constantly reloading the popular items, making it fresh🙂I love the service. Real people with good attitudes going to work and doing it wonderfully❤️Id like more/louder music, but overall its a great atmosphere and large enough that I dont feel rushed to leave.

2022-01-02 16:52:26You get what you pay for. We ALL KNOW that all buffets arent perfect and has their little flaws. But Ill tell you, THIS buffet, has to be one of the freshest out there. Most foods are home-made which is a plus+. Food is always hot never cold. Salt & pepper to you own taste and liking. I couldnt complain. Filled our drinks on time. It was perfect where dont be shy to give a tip to your waiters. They are doing their best & amazing people.

2023-11-07 18:45:411st if youre going wear non slip shoes...the area around the food is a real slip and slide! 2nd the food was better than the last time there...keep in mind its a buffet, if you want really good food go to a normal restaurant.

2022-06-10 05:29:01Kwandos...the last bastion of hope left in Chico for an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet!! Arrived at 1155am, and planned to maximize my time. I plated my ingredients for the hibachi, handed it over to the cook, then went for the sushi. Grabbed 8 different pieces of rolls (want something they dont have, they will MAKE it custom for you), then went to the lines...which were full and empty of people. I grabbed: Jalepeno chicken, Orange chicken, Coconut shrimp, General Tzaos chicken, Buttery Seafood medley, and simple stir-fry. By the time I headed to my seat, the hibachi was done, consisting of: Lemon grass chicken, pot stickers, ginger, garlic, pineapple, Crab, red onion, broccoli, and 3 flank steaks. I stayed for 1 hour, even enjoying a simple bowl of ice cream for dessert. The flavors were magnificent, the food was piping hot and plentiful, and I hadnt touched upon 65% of what was available (NO soups, salads, or fruits.) I left extremely satisfied and full. The last picture is the total I paid...LESS than $17 total. Extremely clean food bars, soups bars, and dessert bar. Im saving the last star for when they have better deserts, as most were a little dry. WAY BETTER than Hulas Chinese BBQ, cheaper too!! Get here on Friday for the Crab Legs & Frog legs, and shrimp for the hibachi at the dinner buffet. Update... as of 6/9/22, I went back on a Thursday night to find they added a few pans of Louisiana Creole dishes, and for that I awarded the last star for this establishment. Creole, potatoes, corn, crawfish, etc... spices were spot-on and delicious. The perfect addition to an already near-flawless restaurant.

2019-03-15 02:50:35For 13$ u cant do better than this. Decent or better sushi, oysters, various seafood, build your own stir fry, salad bar. This place exceeds expectations.....Great value!Second visit 3/12/2019:The quality has suffered over the last months...It is still quite good and fills u up, but did not seem as fresh....Also booths seemed not super clean......?????? So i have to modify my review to 4 stars from 5.
