Fantastic food. Used them to cater an event and everyone raved about how delicious it was. Highly recommended.
My 5 star review has been downgraded to 3 solely based on the long waits for food (when dining in or ordering online). The ramen flavors are amazing but they desperately need more server help during busy times (5-7pm).
Today, I brought my friends here again. We ordered chicken katsu,tonkotsu ramen, and BBQmix. Its still so delicious. We all like this place very much. The service is considerate. Although they are so busy, they still take care of us. We strongly recommend this place. There are many food choices.

This review is for Kyoto Ramen Hawaiian BBQ: Ordered online and waited an additional 35 minutes for my order to be completed. The staff was not polite. They forgot a few items in my order as well. Food was mediocre, will not be going back.

Lengthy and eclectic pan-Asian menu. Everything we got was good to great, and the prices were reasonable. Good option for takeout in Martinez/Pleasant Hill area.
The food is good but you need more staff at the busy time. Only 1 girl should dance around with a bunch of tasks, so the service is slow and messy.
Came here on a recommendation. Impressed by the menu. Several types of ramen to choose from: tonkatsu, shoyu, miso, etc. Selected medium spicy which was just right. Broth was hot (temp) and savory. Noodles were perfect, not dense and not soggy. And had a decent flavor to it. Roasted pork was the right texture. Make sure you select your spice level, no selection is very white and should probably start at the mild to get some decent flavoring. My personal preference is a tonkatsu medium without burning my taste buds. Tried the curry ramen which had a nice spice kick in the curry (you cant select the spice level).They also have a full Hawaiian plate lunch selection. We tried the curry chicken katsu. The katsu coating was delicious and not over fried. Their curry was delicious and we used it more like a dip than pouring it over everything. Well definitely come back to try the rest of the menu including their poke bowls. So many choices well be making multiple visits :)
Glad to have a solid ramen place near work. Tried the tonkotsu ramen for my first order. Flavors were very good, serving size good, and spice level can be customized. I will definitely be back! This is for the new Kyoto Ramen
Its a nice place but the food is horrible..order fish and chips not only it burn an I cant even bite it
The Poke bowl was so delicious. If you want the most authentic Hawaiian way to eat it get get the sesame and soy sauce. The ramen here is delicious also. I just wish they had some different meat options, such as pork belly or brisket. My girl friend had the Kailua pork and lau lau which she said was almost as good as her grandma used to make.
Hawaiian BBQ Beef was good, the sauce was a little watery. The Tonkatsu Pork ramen was amazing, garlic shrimp was good, and BBQ Chicken was good.
Had the Aloha BBQ Combo. All 3 meats and rice were very good. Mac salad was a flavorless disappointment. Will be back to try other dishes.
Kyoto Ramen has become one of our favorite restaurants in the area. The staff is very friendly, they get the food out fast, and they serve generous portions of delicious meals.

2023-04-18 19:39:52Stopped here for the first time after doing a little shopping with the fam and glad we did. They could add some more drink options to the menu but the food was 😌 delicious. Very tasty 😋 ramen and they give large portions. Gets a little busy around lunch time.

2023-05-07 02:50:12Ordered takeout and WOW! Pickup was easy even though the place was packed.We tried the kimchi ramen, chicken ramen, spam musubi, and veggie tempura. Both ramens were delightful, don’t hesitate to add a little spice. We had both in the medium and they had a nice kick without being overpowering. Kimchi ramen had only 2 slices of pork but they were cooked perfectly. Chicken portion had lots of meat and was cooked perfectly as well.The veggie tempura was huge and somehow managed to stay crispy. Would have liked a little more dipping sauce, but I’m sure that’s easy enough to ask for if dining in.Haven’t tried the spam musubi yet, it comes with 2 pieces that are very generously sized.We will definitely be back!

And also the forks they give you are plastic and unwrapped and have fabric hairs on them. The waiters are really friendly and make sure that you are comfortable and have everything you need.

2023-01-30 03:10:14Looking for a new ramen place and first time here.We were greeted with a friendly smile and quick service! We had the Curry Udon and the Tonkotsu Ramen. They were very good and had great flavors and piping hot!The Togo containers were nice bowls.Looking forward to trying other items including the good number of curries on the menu!

2023-03-21 17:31:09My husband and I love their Ramen number 1 and 3. The server is nice, friendly and she works hard multitasking as a waitress and a cashier. Ramen noodles are so delicious and they served them hot. Whatever we ate in that place tasted so good that’s why we always go back there to have our lunch and dinner. I can tell that their food is clean because my stomach doesn’t complain.😊
