First time visiting this location, usually I go to the other one closer to my house. Lots of customers when I walked in! I ordered the shrimp fried rice dish from the cooked to order menu, it took about 10 or so minutes since the restaurant was packed with people. Very filling and it’s a great deal, can feed 2 or 3 people easily. The restaurant is well maintained and the employees value the customers. I’ll order again when I come back to the plaza.

I brought my dad here for his birthday and we all loved our food! We all got the two item combo and for two people plus one mango black tea it came to about $28. Definitely worth it especially since you will not walk out still needing more food. You do have to pay $.50 for their house hot sauce but they have free options as well which was good. 10/10 would recommend!

Went last night after Disneyland and man do they serve you what you pay for. Being from Texas, this Chinese place really puts any place in my hometown to shame. I loved the food and service, the girl was nice and helpful making sure we were taken care of. If I visit again we will definitely come back!

Just visited this lantern garden location at Anaheim plaza to grab a pick-up order of house special chow main and sesame chicken with a Thai tea lite boba. I’m a frequent customer at the downtown location and have to say this location is just as good. In my opinion, the best Chinese quick service restaurants in anaheim. Always good food and amazing customer service. The young asian girl serving at the front was so kind and great customer service! I’ll be back soon to pick up more sesame chicken very soon when my cravings kick in again!! ☺️☺️

Me and my wife decided to eat here after picking up groceries at el super. One of the best Chinese restaurant we ate at, we did not know that lantern garden has a store here but we have gone to the one on Lincoln street. We ordered the combo plate with half fried rice and half chow menu with beef broccoli and tofu. Very good food. We will come back if shopping in Anaheim plaza.

My boyfriend and I got a 2 item combo tonight and it was enough to share. If you are looking for the fast casual type of chinese food in Anaheim then this is your best bet. Not only is lantern garden the best tasting but they are the only chinese restaurant open late in Anaheim plaza or even Anaheim/Orange county in general which we love about this restaurant.

Very tasty food, one of if not the best Chinese food you’ll find in Anaheim. Price is good for the quality and quantity of food you get. I ordered from the cooked to order menu and got orange chicken, honey shrimp, teriyaki chicken, beef broccoli and house special fried rice. Every dish was well made and tasted fantastic! We were able to feed a family of 7 with everyone being full and happy and have some extras for the next day. We’ll be ordering again very soon.

Lantern Garden serves some of the most delicious Chinese food in Anaheim. I went here for dinner after my girlfriend wanted to pick some makeup up at ulta and ordered their combo plate with honey shrimp and I appreciate that they make their shrimp fresh for you when you order instead of letting it dry out like other Chinese food places. Just look at that delicious plump honey shrimp! 5 out of 5 stars recommended!!

My goto spot for delicious chinese food!! I go to the downtown location often but saw the Anaheim plaza location after shopping at tjmaxx and decided to give it a try since it was dinner time. Great service and food as always!!! Huge portions on my 2 item combo plate and delicious jalapeño chicken + orange chicken.

Unfortunately this place lacks flavor. The rice taste like nothing, the lo-main taste like salt. And flavor for the beef and broccoli was very mild. And the Mongolian chicken was ok at best. The place looks very nice inside and the service was very good but the food was bland. This was definite miss

I go with my family every week that we visit Anaheim plaza. Lantern garden is our favorite Chinese restaurant because they always serve hot and fresh food at a great price. My favorite is the special bowl option, you get 2 different choices on top of fried rice or white rice. Today I made a spicy special bowl consisting of jalapeño chicken and kung pao chicken, was so good I had to come here to write about it. 🌶😆👌

Was craving some good Chinese food and saw this restaurant. Exactly what we were looking for! Thank you to the 2 girls working that helped us out today with our combo plates choices and boba drinks when we were indecisive 🥰 patient staff and kind. I work nearby and come by for lunch usually but I did night shift today so I’m here for the first time for dinner. This place gets busy at night but the service is still quick and the employees are nice. I got broccoli beef and sesame chicken on my 2 item plate and steamed rice and chow mein for my base. Everything was hot and tasted fresh! I also got a fruit tea boba drink which was refreshing. I’ll be back for dinner more often!

I was looking for Chinese food near my house and stumbled upon lantern garden’s new location which I didn’t know existed until my neighbors told me good things about it. I went for the special bowl with chow mein and added honey shrimp, they actually take the time to fresh cook it in the back for the honey shrimp! It was the perfect sized meal and delicious food. I’ll be back here again with my family too soon.

Went here tonight to grab a bite since I had to last minute run to Ross to grab a few clothing and accessories for an event I have in a day. Decided to visit in person since I recognized the restaurant from DoorDash. Really yummy boba tea drink! I got a milk tea with light boba and light sugar and the girl that made it did a great job. The food was also hot and delicious. I’ll definitely return if in the area.

As someone who prefers healthier food, I really appreciate when restaurants offer options that are lighter. Tonight I picked up a special bowl with teriyaki chicken and vegetables and steamed white rice. It was really tasty! Thanks to the younger asian female working here for the recommendation and accommodations, really good service and I enjoyed my food a lot!

My family’s all time favorite Chinese food. I got a combo plate and some wings to go for the fam today. 👏🏽 Top service from the staff working the front. If youre trying lantern garden for first time then gotta try the wings. They got 3 flavors and my 2 favorite are soy garlic wings and sweet braised peppers wings. Huge portions and more delicious than actual wing shops!! Their combo plates are also *chefs kiss* so flavorful, I usually get normal rice and pair with any side and it goes well. Can’t recommend to others enough.

Delicious late night Chinese food and boba tea! I got a 3 item combo tonight and everything was stellar! I had also added a Thai tea boba and it was ice cold and great for the humid warm weather. Happy we finally gone to this lantern garden location tonight. I been long time going to the one down on lincoln street by city hall downtown but saw this showing up on google maps. Wanted to say it’s as good as the city hall one. Me and my girl enjoy the milk tea boba and strawberry green tea. We got 2 special bowls tonight and the food was hot and delicious..

Had a really good experience I went here to pick up a quick meal after work. Staff here is awesome! The employee that helped me around 6:30 PM today makes the best boba drinks. I got a Thai tea with boba and it was refreshing for the hot weather today. The cooks also do a great job, the hot combo plate I got today with half and half, beef broccoli, sesame chicken and teriyaki chicken was tasty.

Fantastic chinese food with great service, as usual. I go to Anaheim plaza to charge my car every other day after work and always come here to pick up a combo plate with orange chicken and honey shrimp with honey milk tea boba or Thai tea with boba. Love the food and the people running the place treat you like family and give you lots of food.

I was full after only eating half my meal, the amount of food you get is not only tasty but is massive! I got a 3 item combo plate with a large wor wonton soup and everything was delicious. I ended up having to take the rest home which I’ll be having for lunch tomorrow. I will be back again!

If you are looking for delicious Chinese food and boba tea drinks, I highly recommend lantern garden. You get both quality and quantity here. A good bang for buck which is important to me because of recent inflation for prices everywhere. The Honey shrimp is extra charge but it tastes amazing and I add it to my combo plates every time I visit!

Me and my wife was looking for good chinese food and found this restaurant. We order 2 special bowls and both got sesame chicken I wanted chow mein so only get 1 entree choice. My wife got rice so she get 2 entree choice with jalapeño chicken and sesame chicken. Taste is delicious. Restaurant is clean. People working are nice. We live in fullerton and will come again.

This review is a little late, I went a few days ago during a visit to TJMaxx. Pleasant surprise to see there are multiple lantern garden restaurants, it’s my favorite Chinese restaurant! I always go to the one closer to my house down by Pearson park. I tried the combo plate and got jalapeño chicken, sesame chicken and chow main with a side of their home made hot chili sauce. Needless to say, everything was delicious! I still prefer the location closer to my house but I’ll also come here if I’m at Anaheim plaza ☺️

My family and I have been huge fans of lantern garden’s chinese food after being recommended by our family friends a couple years back. This is our first time ordering from the Anaheim plaza location after seeing it pop up on DoorDash a few months ago. Today we ordered delivery for orange chicken, teriyaki chicken with side sauce, honey shrimp, house special fried rice and house special chow mein. Food was perfectly made as it always is with generous portions which made it easy to feed 7 hungry people with no issues. They also serve amazing Thai tea which I forgot to take a picture of but the Thai tea boba goes amazing on hot days like today.

I am delivery contractor, driving for DoorDash and Instacart. Many times I go here to pick up lots chinese food delivery for customers. Today is first time I am eating here for myself. Food is very good and now I see why many customer order here. Soy garlic wings is top! House special chow mein is also tasty, lots meat and vegetables. I usually come here for lunch and the staff is always very courteous and helpful. Tonight I went here with my cousin for their boba tea and the 2 young girls working made our honey teas perfectly and even adjusted our sugar levels to our liking! They have cute Halloween cup designs and an event coming up too on the 28th posted at the entrance.

Definitely a local hidden gem, tucked away in the corner of Anaheim plaza food court. Awesome food and service. Went here for dinner after going to the Walmart next door. Got the Thai tea boba and a combo and it was delicious. The staff here is kind and the restaurant looks and feels modern. Showing this place to my family next time I’m at Walmart for sure.

Lantern garden is a welcome addition to Anaheim plaza, I live behind at the gallery apartments and am so glad that this place opened since it’s way closer to my house than the one by the city promenade and there wasn’t anything good at Anaheim plaza. I’ll be visiting frequently when I’m craving Chinese food hahahaha

Whoever comes here be careful and make sure your bills are real. I went here last night and got my change back and headed home and once I was home I realized the lady gave me back fake $20s. So technically I spent $100 there for $30 worth of food. I even went to the store to get the bills checked and they were fake. So disappointing how people can get away with this.

As a tourist from Shanghai, I have eaten several Chinese restaurants that tasted very bad. This time I came to Wal-Mart to buy something and have a meal. The taste was really good, quite authentic and delicious! The boss is an old overseas Chinese who came here in 1982. Tipping is not required by default when paying the bill, and the highest option is only 10%. This is refreshing for me who is tired of the moral hijacking of high tips here. In order to show support, I still insisted on giving 30%.
