I love this place!!. I used to go to the Manpuku in Berkeley and found out this one existed in Livermore! The sushi is always fresh and delectable!!

I chose to try this place out based on the reviews. The atmosphere was okay, but the smell of the restaurant was off like cleaning supplies. The woman who served us was very nice. My cousin and I came to in to the restaurant for the ramen. I can see that most of the 4/5 star reviews is for sushi. I read several other people saying the same thorns about my experience. The ramen was so incredibly bland. I ordered the veggie ramen and the tofu in it was tiny pieces you could barely see and seemed like dehydrated tofu pieces. There was really no flavor at all and the noodles felt like instant noodles. The whole ramen experience was worse than buying packaged ramen noodles from the store.

Is it the best sushi and ramen Ive ever had? Nah, but they do take care of you here. Friendly service and (more importantly) affordable pricing for the quantity. The ramen surprised me by its sheer size for sure. This place is pretty good for lunch. The food comes out quick and it doesnt seem to get too packed here. At my last visit I was starving so I ended up ordering twice what I consider normal and it still only ran me 20 some. Pretty good if you ask me.

What a godsend. On our way back from backpacking, no table service anywhere because you know the COVID... This gem whipped up an outdoor table for 6 and served up really very good sushi and tempura with a smile. Thank you!!

I have been going here since 2009. It is a great place to go for lunch or with a very small group. I went with our daughter and they came out with a kids plate, fork, spoon, and kiddie cup - how cool! A great place for takeout too!

One particular night, I was craving for ramen so I decided to give it a try but it was not good. I mean there was no ramen taste to it. Almost like a regular noodle soup. The meat was so chewy too. I guess this is not the place for ramen since all the reviews were talking about their sushi. Friendly staff though but too bad that they couldn’t make proper ramen….

This is our cheap go to place in town for our sushi fix. The service is always friendly and the food is never disappointing. The Churashi bowl is a great price and always of good quality which seems to be a hard thing to find. A sweet place to grab dinner for two around 30 bucks.

I’ve been to almost all sushi restaurants in Livermore, and I’ve found this restaurant to be my favorite. I eat here at least once a week. Food is great, fish is fresh, price is good, friendly staff and I just find it comfortable as it’s small and I don’t have to wait long for a table.

Wonderful menu of sushi, noodles and bento boxes. I had a hankering for pork ramen and it was fantastic. Ive had noodles in Japan, Taiwan and mainland China and Manpuku stands up with noodle places in these countries. This is a small, low key place with great service.

Outstanding service. Even though we had our meal to go, the waitress greeted us with kindness and a great smile. But thats not what made our day, the food OMG. Entirely authentic; we traveled 1 hour 3 min to get home, and the seafood noodle soup (Udon) was still piping hot and delicious. The Tempera heated for 22 seconds in the microwave still bursting with flavor. I can only say my visit to Livermore specifically to Manpuku will be, often. Total cost $22.00. Well worth another drive. The staff at this place welcomed us, and I appreciate their kindness...And the delicious food.

For the price, a good place for sushi standards. Assorted sashimi lived up to the name, with snapper, white tuna, ahi tuni, and salmon in generous chunks, though somewhat mushy. Very good California roll, meaty and not too much rice. Also a good assortment of nigiri. Tea was almost flavorless. Good, friendly, fast service.

Great rolls and sushi. Used to be dirt cheap but now I guess inflation is catching up, but still worth it. Its a small hole in the wall so cant expect much regarding decor or ambiance but food makes up for it. We are regulars of this place.

The good was a less than okay. I had a ramen dish that had gummy noodles and no flavor. It was so flavorless that I did something I dont usually do, poured in soy sauce and still no flavor.My boyfriend had sushi and didnt bother finishing it. The fish did not look fresh and smelled fishy - both bad signs. I doubt intend to be mean but it was the worst Japanese food that Ive ever had.

Used to have the best prices in town on coffee, theyre still competitively priced but it did go up recently. Much quieter than the other options downtown, best for lunch or takeout since its not to busy and reasonably priced.

I have just moved to Livermore and I am a big sushi fan, so I was exploring sushi places and tried a couple but this one stands out for me. I simply like sushi rolls, sashimi and nigiri; no tiryaki no tempura no unwanted sides that mostly obligatory added to dinner orders just miso soup. The beginners plate is great. So this is number one why I like this place, number two is that its delicious!! You can tell how the fish is well picked and the chef knows what hes doing!! Great place for sushi lovers like me. I will make it my regular sushi place.

I had the chashu miso ramen, the broth was flavorful but lacked some levels of flavors usually found in miso based broths. The noodles were very thin, almost like angel hair pasta. The chashu was a lil tough and kinda tasted old from the aftertaste. This was my first visit and noticed they did have a large menu and should probably try some more items next time. The ramen was just okay

Manpuku is a staple dining location in Livermore. Many locals have been coming here for years. They have a few tables which make the place cozy and private. Cooks and servers are quick at getting everyones order promptly served to your table.They have expanded the menu quite a bit and now have many Asian oriented plates, besides the usual Japanese flair they are known for.

Hole-in-the-wall restaurant, some variety. Relatively cheap... given the area. Reason I went was the large variety of ramen on menu.The Champon ramen was a miss, mainly due to personal tastes. Yakiniku was a miss. But Im sure there is another that would be better.Probably ok for after-work food. But not driving especially.

We had Ramen for lunch here this time. Its ok for being out this far from San Jose. Ample parking and almost no waiting during prime lunch time. Only one suggestion, bring a thick jacket during winter months.

This is small family (Japanese)-run restaurant. So good and unexpected. Soba, Udon, Sushi, its all their and good. Sit at the counter and watch them make it in the small kitchen. Eat there when I can.

I love this cozy little Japanese restaurant. We have been coming here since it first opened and we have never had anything but excellent service and food. The only drawback of this place is that it is so small that you are often very busy and you have to wait for a table during the peak times of the evening. But it is worth waiting for sure.
