Kobe Japan Restaurant - Livermore
4193 First St, Livermore, CA 94551, United States
Service was not great, not packed at all with people but yet took forever to get Serviced, our food came out 1 by 1 approximately what seemed like 15min apart, our chicken teriyaki came ice cold, our miso soup was not even warm, then after $159 later we payed with card, and my wife was going to leave a tip (cash) but our server came up to me and not asked but also demanded to leave a tip for her on the card and for the people in the kitchen, not the best server she was rude and forgot to bring our orders correctly, by the time I got my food 2 of my friends had already finished theirs. The table next to us was left un-cleaned the whole time we were there but yet when we were almost finished eating, a second server came and started almost jumping our table to get our empty plates asking if were done, while still having food,, and put some of our food with a fork from one plate to the other to make room to pick empty plates,,

Good value for the food and service that you get. We got the two item combo and I have to say I was not impressed with the mushy rice and the heavy batter on the tempura but they make interesting little salads. In fact their green salad is the best I’ve had in a Japanese restaurant. Do not get the Inari sushi as it is tasteless though the tskimino is good to add into it.

I love this cozy little Japanese restaurant. We have been coming here since it first opened and we have never had anything but excellent service and food. The only drawback of this place is that it is so small that you are often very busy and you have to wait for a table during the peak times of the evening. But it is worth waiting for sure.

Like most Japanese restaurants in the area, this one is Korean run. Ordered the hamachi kama and the 12 piece sashimi. The Kama was grilled for a perfect amount of time - the meat and fat simply melts in your mouth. 5/5. The sashimi was good for the price 4/5 - on this trip, the yellowtail and the albacore was better than the salmon. Ill be back to try other items on their menu - this restaurant is definitely repeatable.

Best Japanese restaurant Ive had since my trip to Japan. Lots of authentic food options, which is important if you have friends who dont eat fish (like me). Well definitely be coming back for more.

Japan Cafe
3402 Paragon, Livermore Outlets Dr, Livermore, CA 94551, United States
Service:The workers here seem very depressed. The cashier seem very unhappy. He doesnt even bother with upselling anything. He is pretty quick at ringing up your order. He has some pretty good skills at sliding your good along the rail. The guy on the grill is even worst. He seems like a zombie and has no emotions. He doesnt even talk.Taste:Compared to other malls that have Japanese chicken teriyaki, this place is kind on the disappointing side. The chicken pieces are big, but requires more seasoning. The beef is pretty bland too. The rice was okay. I wish they would have stickier rice, but at least its not soggy. The vegetables were okay. The portion itself looked little compared to other places.

Worst Japanese I have had in the Bay Area.Teriyaki was too sweet. Sushis weren’t cut well and stuck to each other. Chicken gyoza was good.We got a Bento Box that had all the above. The restaurant is mediocre Japanese cuisine.

Range Life

Introduction:Range Life, located in Livermore, California, is a charming restaurant with a unique dining experience, a welcoming atmosphere, and exceptional service. Ive visited twice, most recently for my fiancés birthday, and each visit has been memorable.---- Atmosphere:----Outside: From the outside, Range Life doesnt immediately stand out as a restaurant and may even look a bit unassuming. However, once inside, the environment is calm and inviting.Inside: The interior has an old-style, simple aesthetic with wooden structures and an open layout where you can see the bar and the kitchen at the back. The dining area is cozy and accommodates many guests despite its smaller size. The lighting is low and warm, with yellowish tones that make the space comfortable and inviting. Each table is adorned with one or two lit candles, adding to the cozy ambiance.---- Food Quality:----Steak for Two: We had the steak for two, a bone-in ribeye about 24 to 30 ounces. It was cooked to medium-rare perfection, juicy, flavorful, and had the distinct taste of dry aging. The steak was comparable to those from high-end steakhouses.Appetizers: We tried the full salad, which was fresh, green, and fluffy with high-quality ingredients. The cheese and breadcrumbs added a delightful touch. Another appetizer, possibly called Bean Mountain, consisted of exceptional lightly fried beans.Drinks: We had two of their specialty drinks, which were well-crafted with the perfect balance of juices and spirits, enhancing the overall dining experience.Dessert: We had the Milk and Honey for dessert, which was amazing. It featured chunks of honey-crusted bonbons with light vanilla ice cream, all drizzled with more honey.--- Service:---The service at Range Life is extraordinary and comparable to high-end restaurants. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu, attentive, and provides timely check-ins. Our server was attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal.--- Service Dog Accommodation:---Range Life is very accommodating for service animals. They seated us at a table where my service animal could comfortably stay underneath, as instructed. The staff was respectful and treated us no differently, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.--- Value for Money:---While Range Life is pricier, the overall experience, including the exceptional service, warm atmosphere, and high-quality food, makes it worth every penny. The seasonal menu items ensure that each visit offers something new and delightful.--- Overall Experience:---I recommend Range Life to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in Livermore. The combination of excellent food, outstanding service, and a cozy atmosphere makes it a fantastic choice for special occasions or a lovely night out. I plan to visit more frequently to explore other menu items.
