This is our favorite #halal Chinese restaurant. We used to go all the way to Anaheim from Irvine but now only go here. The food is usually good, but the customer service could be hot or miss. During busy times they could get a bit rude . We love the orange beef, Jalapeno chicken, Garlic chicken, three flavored fried rice, three flavored kung pao and hot and sour soup.

We stopped at Mas for dinner, and it was very good. We had the hot and sour soup followed by orange chicken, kung pao shrimp, vegetable chow mein, and steamed rice. The food was very good and service very prompt and professional.We enjoyed the dining experience and will definitely be back. The vibe is positive with a quiet overall environment.

Been going to the Anaheim location for a while and wanted to try this one because its closer. The sour cabbage with lamb hot pot is good. And prices are the same as the one in Anaheim. The decor is bright and clean. Accidentally ordered the thin bread, but I think I like it more than the thick bread now!

I was surprised to find this northern Chinese Islamic restaurant. However after my visit, the food was not authentic northern Chinese style food but more Americanized. Even put the authenticity aside the food was not good. The cooking wine flavor is dominating in the sauce and the so-called hand made noodle is extremely soggy and easily broken apart when I picked them with chopsticks.

Very unique halal place. The food is very good however the service is slow and not super attentive. I still rate the place highly because the food is pretty unique and delicious. The sesame bread with red beans was delicious and the cold meat dish and the soups were wondeful. I would come again.

Awesome food and service. Had the orange chicken, mongolian beef, and green onion lamb. All 3 dishes were delicious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will be back if I am ever in the area again. Highly recommend visiting!

Found this new location on Yelp and tried them this weekend. The new location is bright and newer, unlike the Anaheim location. We ordered several dishes and most of them turned out very good (the jellyfish dish wasnt good). I like the thin sesame onion pancake than the thick one as its less bread-y and easy to reheat as leftover. The soup (pickle cabbage with lamb, one of their signature dishes) was nice, a lot better than the one I had at Anaheim location, which tastes so bad (salty and disinfectant solution tasting and I am not even joking) I would not order it again. The waiters are nice and pretty attentive. Overall, great dining experience.

Food is hit or miss at Mas house. Chicken curry had poor bland flavorless yellow curry, Mongolian beef was sauced with a non authentic flavor and the orange chicken tasted like a battered candy. There was one dish that was amazing was cumin lamb with onions. I would recommend this with rice, great flavor and texture. There is plenty of parking. For large parties a gratuity of 15 percent is automatically added.

Delicious Food. We ordered peper beef, seaseme bread thin, beef noodle soup, and lamb fried rice. Service is quick and Staff is very friendly and concern. Atmosphere is peaceful. We sat with window table and taking outside views of palm trees and beautiful weather. Love the place.

Food is good, not greasy at all, and in a generous portion. Its a Chinese islamic restaurant. So it is good for those requiring Halal compliant food. Service is hit or miss. Sometimes very friendly, sometimes just cold and kind of rude. The restaurant is always clean and pleasant to sit down for a meal. Food generally comes really quick too.

Great food. The Orange chicken is the best. Very friendly and helpful service. Always a waiter around when you needed them. So many great tasting dishes. We enjoy Mas food fairly frequently - mostly takeout. Very fast service. Usually, the food is ready by the time I go to pick it up. Food quality and taste is fairly consistent each time we eat (and across their different locations). Our favorite place for Chinese food.

School cafeterias provide better food and better service then this place. Sparse decor, sticky tables and menus, cold, unappetizing food and shady workers. We were a party of five, ordered chicken corn soup which arrived cold, bland and with absolutely no chicken or chicken flavor. We let the server know to at least give us hot soup. He looked at us and shrugged his shoulders....take it or leave it was my interpretation. This was a good precursor to how the rest of our order tasted. Cold, slapped on to the table and unappealing. Also do not use their condimemts. They are filthy and old. Halal food is why they get customers, they know it and they exploit it. When our check came, I gave it a cursory glance and was about to add a tip (I am a ridiculously generous tipper much to my familys chagrin. I get it, I waited tables in college) when I realized we were overcharged by about $20. I called the server ( btw good luck getting their attention) He said and I quote, I added tip because you didnt like the food. Im rarely left speechless. I said you cant do that, were not a party of 6. He said, 5 or 6 we add tip, our choice I looked at the bill again and he had literally made the check out as 6 guests up on top of the check, and suggested how much to tip on the total of bill plus his tip. I would have given way more anyhow. Look your bills over carefully. Halal food does not equate Halal practices.

We used to go a lot to the orange location, and also ate here pre covid. its not bad but maybe my tastes have changed a little.lamb soup was out of stock. the green onion thick flatbread was rather dry, and without any sauce, its hard to recommend. texture was good though. the noodles and flavor and mouthfeel of the dishes were alright. the two waitstaff workers were pretty overworked, so a bit understaffed.hoping things improve in the future.

We went on a Monday night. Ordered 4 dishes. Food was ok. The sweetened cream on walnut shrimp was spotty leaving most of the shrimp tasteless coated not so hot pieces. Cumin lamb had suchhh big pieces and they were not completely done so it was tough to break them up. Sizzling rice soup had more salt than usual. We were a party of THREE when the bull came they had Already added $10 gratuity to the final amount. When asked the cashier who was also our host and waiter, just shrugged that yes its a part of the bill. So very disappointed in the food. We ordered take-out. The egg drop soup was tasty and hot but they had no crispy noodles to go with it. I got mu shu chicken and, while the ingredients were fresh and the chicken plentiful, it was tasteless. The little container of hoisin sauce was only half full. I doused the mu shu with soy sauce but I wanted hoisin sauce adequate for 4 servings, not just one. My husband got sweet and sour sole. The sauce was ok but the fish was chewy and tough. Very very disappointed that rice was not included. Who give Chinese take-out without rice? There should be a warning.The “egg rolls” were a weird cross between chewy spring rolls and soggy egg rolls; very small, not crisp, very mushy inside, no discernible veggies. I do NOT recommend and will definitely not return.

Horrible service. We were the only dine-in customers at the time. Food was undercooked and overly salty. The waiter refused to fix the salty shrimp plate, but when we insisted, he agreed and returned the plate to us after adding a huge half cooked onion to it to “balance” the salt in the dish. The bread was doughy and undercooked so the waiter returned it back to us by turning the initial raw paratha into crispy chips by heating the same bread up. We weren’t even given/offered water and for our party of three people, the waiter prematurely added the gratuity to the bill. Even for terrible service we always add 20% gratuity, but it was rude to add it in the bill without consent.

This was our favorite Chinese food joint for a while. Though unfortunately this last visit will be our last. Got the same order we got a month ago. It was absolutely delicious then. This time the 2 vegetable chow mein dishes were different. One was dark brown and had lots of flavor, while the other was light brown and barely any flavor (I had added 2 of the same item to cart so no way should they be this different). One of the beef dishes was too salty. The shrimp smelled bad, like strong old seafood smell. The sizzling pepper beef was the most delicious dish last time. This time it tasted completely different and was meh at best.I’d like to stress that we weren’t trying new items, the order was verbatim what we got last time, yet it was far off and ruined the experience for us.

We ordered a take out before yesterday for dinner, the good was ready on time, but it was horrible, tasted like it was reheated and burned, the sesame bread was bad, it tasted like the sesame was bitter so all went to the trash. Ive been to Mas House a lot lately. Their lunch buffet is fresh and varied with at least six veggie options and an equal number of meat. The made to order dishes are not too spicy, and there is always fresh (not sitting on the table forever) sauces to spice it up if you choose. Their Nan seems to be just made every time Ive gotten it, and there is a more friendly energetic vibe here than some of the other Indian restaurants in the area.

This place is nice and simple. The food is good. Good as in modern day Chinese fusion.The food is Halal, so that is an upside.The dumplings are average at best and take too long to get. We ordered our meal and when we were near finished with everything, then the dumplings arrived. The size of the dishes are big. The food is very tasty. The sasame cake are big enough for 6-8 people. Its delicious, but everyone will be full already after they finish this dish. Overall most of the food was good. Items came out too staggered, no fresh plates after the apps, and you had to constantly ask for things like a simple refill of water. Shrimp was funky and no one ate it. The place looks great but they need to do something about the smell in the bathroom area that is still there from the last place. The main problem was we have kids and they made it abundantly clear they were not welcome. There is even a note in the menu about not liable for kids in their menu. Plenty of other places to go that are more family friendly.

We were wowed at this place. Chinese halal food is near and dear to my heart back in the days I was living in China, and Ma’s House offered food that’s fair in price and definitely not readily available elsewhere. The atmosphere was a mixture of modern and Muslim style, and the servers were friendly and well-dressed. Our party of 6 was fed and satisfied with leftover to go with only 5 orders, 2 pancakes orders and 3 other dishes. I would highly recommend. Also, to all the ppl who come here for orange chicken or Sichuan beef, I encourage you to go out of your comfort zone.

We come for the good food a Halal restaurant on the Mowlid of prophet Mohamed. The Holiest day of the year. We cleaned our own table and sat for 30 min and not even offered H2O. Food is good when you can get it. They are always understaffed and just won’t answer the phone or take orders if they get overwhelmed. It’s really frustrating because weekends or weekdays it doesn’t seem to matter it’s a gamble if you will actually get service. Today I tried calling from 6:30 to 7:30 took a gamble something was wrong with their phone and showed up...waited in line for 30 min to place a order and was told it will be at least an hour or more to get it....and this is the last 3 times I’ve attempted to eat there...it’s a shame because the Anaheim location has such good food and I was excited to see one closer....but whoever is managing/running this location is running it out of business. Two stars because the food is good ...but only if you can get it....save time and just drive to Anaheim.

Quirky little place with very good food. Pleasant service - Though special requests of any kind seem to throw them way off kilter - so mind your manners to a fault and all will be well. For instance prepare to be out promptly at closing time - Not a minute later. Under Halal no alcohol can be served whatsoever so you will not find any here at this Chinese Halal establishment. I do highly recommend trying the House Special Noodles (fresh homemade chop suey noodles) with chicken or beef or really anything as they are quite special.

One word, disgusting 太难吃了。When theres no Chinese people eating at a Chinese restaurant, thats usually a very, very bad sign. And sure enough the food does not taste good. Sesame bread was burned on the bottom and lacking aroma. Filet mignon was fried, hard and salty. Hand made noodles 刀削面 was super soft and not chewy at all like its supposed to be. Another noodle dish 咋酱面was bland. Lamb paomo 羊肉泡馍 (bread) soup came with glass noddles? When I asked them why is there noodles instead of bread in my soup, the waistress pointed out to me there are two quarter sized chunks of bread in the soup. The two pieces were hard and raw in the middle. When I pointed this out to the waiter he told me its been baked but just undercooked and is not raw. I asked to return the dish and was told I can only exchange for another. I did the exchange and was given guilt trip that the dish now must be tossed and they asked me if I knew what I was ordering. Yes I had this dish plenty of time in China, its supposed t be chopped bread soup as its name suggest 泡馍 not noodles. Waiter stated the reason he asked was because this dish at their place is a bad dish and the restaurant is really not catered to Chinese people because the way they make everything is all messed up.

Went there tonight with my wife for the first time. The food was excellent some of the best Chinese Ive had. There was a lot to choose from on the menu and I would recommend this restaurant to everybody. The only downside was the service. It was a bit slower than I expected.

Our family go to restaurant for weekend dinner every 2 months. The think onion pancake and the Chinese pickles lamp soup are must order. Due to time to prepare, you need to order these 2 dishes once you sat down before ordering other food. The spicy 3 item combo cold dish includes beef tripe, beef tendon and beef are must order as well. It goes well eating alone and eating with the think onion pancake. The stir fry flat noodle with chicken, beef and shrimp are must order as well. Noodle is so flavorful! We always these 4 must order dishes with one more dish. The extra dish can be braised tofu, walnut shrimp & sweet and sour fish. Will visit again in 2 months.

This place took over the location of an old school Chinese restaurant that was here since the 80s. They are Chinese halal but the menu is not just Uyghur food. The menu is massive. Warning, not everything is good. The more American/Chinese dishes are not that good at all. Think Panda Express. Some dishes are excellent and some are average. I think the bread tastes OK, the thin one has a consistency similar to a Persian bread called taftoon but has green onions. Note, it is outrageously overpriced. At most Persian bakeries in the area you can get a large taftoon for 3.50. Here the bread is 12 something. Many people like the lamb dishes. I would agree, the lamb stew was excellent. I didnt like the cumin lamb though, dry and too many onions. I heard some of the stews and warm pots are popular. I think it will take many tries to find out the actual good items to order on the menu. The flavors are different than traditional Chinese regional flavors most people are used to.

Most dishes we tried were very good. Mongolian beef, eggplant with spicy sauce, tofu with egg, ox tail soup, pea pod vegetables and Da Bing (sesame covered bread with chives). We had a horrible experience. The service was rude and lacking. I would not recommend this place unless you want to have to work for your food. They do not greet you, ask you if you are ready to order or ask you for drinks. Be prepared to have to flag down an employee and expect a rude response if that person is not assigned to your table. They are so unorganized and rude its crazy. I have never been trested so poorly at a place of business. If you are thirsty do not expect them to refill your drinks or even check on your table after they give you your food. You are on your own.

This is a Uyghur cuisine from Western China in the region closer to the Middle East. The flavor is very unique and I was pleasantly surprised to find it here. They do a very good job and the quality is excellent.Note: because Uyghurs are predominately Muslim there is no pork on the menu. That only makes their beef and lamb even better. Definitely eat here. Its not really that hard to find.

Terrible customer service! There’s a waitress named “Peter” he was being rude to us the moment we got in the store. We ordered our food, it came and when I asked him for a glass of water he wouldn’t bring it and make faces and nods his head and rolls his eyes to me I don’t know why that happened but I was asking him nicely as this is his job… after this point it’s is obvious he doesn’t deserve a tip.
