This place is really cool! On a Tuesday night, the crowd was mostly subdued, and atmosphere was mellow. The decor and lighting allow for a relaxing and delicious night to begin. Which brings me to the food, which was quite wonderful!! Not one dish was below perfect, and the presentations were absolutely gorgeous. I’m talking Michelin-star presentations, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Merois earns a Michelin star. Coupled with a decent city skyline view…. I have to say I certainly recommend Merois! 5 stars!

Food: Absolutely amazing food. This is the type of place where when you take your first bite, you immediately realize this is going to be a special experience. Every meal was balanced in flavor, temperature, and appearance. Arguably the best Puck restaurant.P.S. Get the cheesecake...Service: Service was great. The server was genuine and knowledgeable. Everything arrived on time and in order.Atmosphere: Really cool date spot. The inside is beautiful. Its paired with an amazing view of Los Angeles. Worth it to go for dinner to experience the view at night.

Make your reservations a week ahead to make sure you have the best seats during sunset hours because the view is spectacular.Drinks and food are both great. Ask if they have a daily special or chef’s secret menu of the day. They are usually amazing.Staff are very friendly, the decorations are super cute. A lovely place for a girls night out or dates. Also, a great option to grab food or a drink before going to the jazz lounge downstairs.Highly recommended:)

Merios is a nice rooftop restaurant located on top of Pendry West Hollywood. Had a chance to dine there. The service id top, the food is top. Will recommend the chicken it was delicious! Portions are extra generous and waitress offered us some deserts which were just wow! Great view too and beautiful people around! After dinner time there’s a DJ and a pool if you’d like just to chill there.

I really enjoyed the view and the food here. Food is on the sweeter side which is typical for Americanized Asian food.Both fried rice and the whole fish were enough for 3-4 people to split. Cocktails were above average. View is as nice as the restaurant on top of nearbyWaldorf Astoria if not better.This would be a perfect place to take your friends who are visiting and looking for a true LA experience.

Beautiful rooftop restaurant (& bar area) with an expansive city view, top notch service with pricey but delicious Asian inspired small plates. For the two of us, we ordered four dishes plus dessert and it seemed like the perfect amount. The hard part was deciding upon which dishes to try.

Great place to go out to a fine dinner. It’s my second time I visit this place and I love it. I had the crab salad (very crunchy) the crab fried rice and the short rib noodles (very soft). Everything was so delicious.I also had the chance to see Angelina Jolie who was sitting right in front me.

Extraordinary experience ✨Beautiful setting (ask to be outside) and interesting food.Make sure you get there a little before sunset so you see the city morph into nighttime.Our waitress was perfect. This place is on the rooftop of the Pendry hotel. The views of the city are so beautiful! I got there early do I saw transition from light to dark. Place looked great in both lighting. Staff was super attentive, waitress knew the menu and very knowledgeable about the dishes. Everything tasted superb. One thing to know...its a bit spendy! ($16 for corn) and totally worth it! I went a 2nd time and the man himself was there! Wolfgang Puck, what a treat!

We went for our anniversary and this was the most hospitable experience I have had in decades. I knew I would have a good time but it exceeded our expectations two fold.The service was smart, warm and genuine. The pace was perfect and the food was so much better than the pics can capture. I was a little surprised how good it was. The wine list is also really great and balanced.We will be back

We had been thinking of trying Merois for a while, and decided to make a reservation once we saw the illustrious company it was in within Food & Wine’s 10 best restaurants in the country. In summary… it is fine. Most importantly, the food. The flavor profiles are muted (despite mouth watering descriptions), the preparations are serviceable, but not standout. The chicken was dry. The crispy rice crab salad had luscious chunks of crab, extremely crispy rice, but a dressing that tasted like it had been watered down. The cocktails were also… fine. The concept for my cocktail (a riff on a Tom Collins) was appealing, and the outcome was a serviceable complement to the food. Rather than top 10 restaurants in the country, it more accurately is in perhaps top 500 in LA. The views are lovely, the server was helpful and friendly. Not enough to make up for essentially okay, mediocre food.

I forgot the setting of the place so when my party and I arrived, it was surprising! There was a pool and an amazing panorama view of LA/city view. The only downfall was having to pay $16 across the street but thats not the restaurants fault. I would recommend this place and think it is worth the drive and price :)

The dinner is set on the rooftop in a beautiful long room with floor to ceiling glass windows. The waiter and food was were the highlights, however the tables were not cleared regularly, and the courses were totally out of sync with the delivery of our drinks. Overall the waiter was knowledgable, the desserts were superb, the food was interesting but not superb, and certainly overpriced for the quality.

Easily the best meal and overall food experience weve had in almost two years. Views, a cool vibe, amazing service and fantastic food - this place checks all the boxes. Its not uncommon for a new place to need some time to find its stride. Not Merois. Its off and running with a full head of steam. Its not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Ok so this place is super cute! I went for my friends bday last night. The view is awesome at night. Very classy restaurant. Its inside of a hotel on the roof, but it is indoors. Great service. Theres valet parking in the back or metered parking on the street.Food: everything was delicious! Friends ordered the pork chops, the mushroom tempura & the crab fried rice. All of us enjoyed our meals. My dessert was just scrumptious 😋 its some type of layered chocolate cake with coffee & there was a consistency in one of the layers that was like a rive Krispy or a wafer. Such an amazing culinary experience. The Valentines prix fixe dinner began with fresh oysters, crispy lobster spring rolls, and a take on Korean steamed beef buns. Followed by a savory lobster red curry and a tender medium rare New York steak. The experience ended with chocolate lava cakes and a dark chocolate sphere filled with fresh strawberry, milk chocolate mousse with mini crisp, and what I would describe as a coconut Italian ice topped with gold foil. To truly appreciate this masterpiece of a desert one must include every element in a bite. Our dinner was paired with a recommended bottle of Willi Schaefer which complemented all elements. Finally we were honored by the presence of Chef Wolf Puck as he greeted us and wished us a happy Valentines day at our table.

Staying at the hotel and went up for a drink and a small bite. Tried to order the tuna sashimi and was told they had none. Server informed us they had a sashimi trio that wasn’t on the menu. He told us it was $50. It was terrible. The fish had no flavour and the texture just didn’t feel right. It just wasn’t fresh and the different fish all tasted the same. Bland. I advised the manager (at least I think it was) and all she said was sorry must have been an off cut. No offer of anything else. We also didn’t finish it because it just wasn’t good. Then when the bill came it actually ended up being $80! For 9 tiny pcs of fish. Overall really disappointing experience. At prices like that I would expect them to try and make it right by either offering a discount or perhaps something else from the menu.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant with stellar service and food. The view from the restaurant is beautiful at night, try to get a table by the window to really enjoy it. (Though, fun fact you can get the same or better views at Harriets at the 1 Hotel and The Roof at the Edition, the food just isn’t as good) The clear stand out for me was the Shanghai Maine Lobster, easily the best lobster dish I’ve had and so much MEAT! Next time the craving hits I’ll have to come back here. The vegan sushi was surprisingly yummy, and I would order again. Cocktails were top notch also. We were staying at the hotel and honestly their bartenders were great everywhere: Merois/pool deck, Ospero, and lobby bar. Definitely worth a trip.

Overall a fantastic experience from start to finish. All of the dishes we had were very flavorful, and each dish was unique compared to the other, which is important as sometimes dishes at Asian fusion restaurants can end up tasting the same. Not the case here at all! A surprise favorite was the crispy crab salad dish. It’s prepared and tossed table side and the combination of the light dressing and crunch from peanuts, fried shallots, crispy rice and cabbage was so refreshing. We also loved the Kung Pao cauliflower and Japanese eggplant. The noodles were also fantastic, though a little oily. The star of the show was definitely the Peking duck, and it’s a large portion which could be shared with 3 people if you ordered small plates along with it. The cocktails were also legit here.

One can argue that the marvelous night view and romantic ambience regardless of everything else give sufficient reason for a visit. When it comes to the actual dining part, it might be said nice try at Asian fusion, which is always a tricky territory. A run-down of items we tried:* toro crispy rice (daily special) - oops the least likable dish, very fishy to the point raising suspicion if it’s safe to eat at all* Japanese eggplant - in thick savory-sweet-and-spicy sauce* branzino in puff pastry - this was really the highlight of the night; an immediate mysterious feeling of harmony upon first bite, which would be hard to explain given the exotic combination of puff pastry, fish, veggies and even rice vermicelli … also the caramel sauce was just right; a fish version of Wellington, which probably overshone the original beef version* crab fried rice - seemed lots of people order this so followed suit; solid fried rice dish with every grain of rice distinct while not greasy at all* dark chocolate soufflé - definitely soufflé for dessert as it could only be found on so few menus; turned out to be superb; airy, right sweetness* cocktails - weak like non-alcoholic beverage was the impression

I recently dined at Merois and had an uncomfortable experience due to where we were seated. Our table was right next to the bathroom and kitchen, which meant we had to endure the constant sound of toilets being flushed while trying to enjoy our meal. It was quite off-putting and not the kind of ambiance one would expect. In addition to the poor seating arrangement, the food was disappointingly average, failing to leave a lasting impression. I believe its crucial for the restaurant to reconsider their seating choices near such noisy areas and make improvements to their culinary offerings. Dining out should be a pleasant experience, and I certainly dont want to eat to the sound of toilets being flushed and yelling of the kitchen staff.

The atmosphere leading to Merois is artistically fun and inviting. The rooftop has a lovely pool with cabanas available to rent if you want to beat the crowds strategically. The bar has a great selection of liquors, and the cocktail menu is inventive and encompasses nearly every craving.We were sat by the window with the most beautiful view of the city. I want to recognize our server, Sheryl, for reading our table personality extremely well. She matched our ‘vibe’ and didn’t make our dining experience pretentious or uncomfortable. She happily offered numerous wines for me to taste before I selected a local Pinot Noir. She’s spot on with her descriptions of dishes, which led us to try new things that did not disappoint! Steven came by with a couple glasses of Champagne, as we were celebrating some events, and he truly made us feel welcome the entire evening. He made sure to touch base as we were leaving, solidifying the end to a perfect meal. Brian and David were spot on in ensuring our waters were filled, table always clean, and were knowledgeable in recommending places for us to visit around town.If you’re lucky enough to visit soon, I recommend the raw Bluefin Tuna with Thai Basil and Watermelon Gremolata. It is devine! The culinary team knows know to balance flavor, technique, and texture. Last Saturday, we had a reservation at this rooftop restaurant located within the Pendry Hotel. Despite arriving half an hour late, the staff promptly seated us upon our arrival. However, I must note that Google Maps directions can be a bit confusing; its best to access the restaurant from North Olive Street, not Sunset Blvd.For our drinks, we tried the espresso martini, which was delightful. they also served us a kimchi bread with miso sauce that was amazing. For starters, we opted for the spicy tuna fried rice and a sashimi bowl, both of which were off-menu and ok but not particularly exceptional. we ordered chicken meatballs and chicken dumplings, both of which were really tasty. While the duck dish we tried was good enough for all four of us and it was good, but the coriander chicken was great. Another entrée was decent but not outstanding. Our bill came out to $540!the view, atmosphere, and service at this restaurant were top-notch. I would definitely recommend this place if you are ok with the price.

The food is absolutely amazing here and so are their desserts. Servers have been friendly . The only issue I have here are the hostesses. The place was empty and they wouldn’t let us sit outside. She kept going back to “check with the main hostess” and then came back to tell us there are reservations coming (lie!). She was not trained on how to talk to patrons at all. I would have rather her just tell me no instead of walking back and forth to ask permission. We finished and the tables were still empty. What do you expect? LA restaurants do not have quality staff and they will never be like Vegas or NYC. All they do is push you out in less than 2 hours to flip the tables to the next sucker.

We shared Sunday morning brunch in celebration of my partners birthday. It was a feast for the senses. This particular Sunday, we were the only ones in the restaurant at 11 AM, so we were very well taken care of by all the staff members. From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was delicious. Our server was quite knowledgeable of the menu and offered suggestions for pairing different choices for us to sample something from every category on the menu. As an interior designer, I was pleased to see the use of color. It is fascinating, memorable, and an excellent commendable achievement.

If there was an option I would give this place a zero. We were here to celebrate my partners birthday. Hostess was great but our server skipped our table multiple times and never took our order after the appetizers. We mentioned to the busser we would like to order more items and our server still skipped our table. Finally, we gave up and asked for a check from another server without a main course or dessert to celebrate. High expectations and ruined a perfect celebratory night.I have much more to say about the night but my comments above is the gist of it. I do not recommend this place.

Great place to go if you want mediocre food and need to burn cash. Imagine panda express noodles with the worlds smallest lobster on top for $150. I will say the sashimi was good but for $100 for 9 pieces it better be. The service was so horrendous it was comical. Dealing with our waitress was painful both when she was and wasnt present which was mostly the latter. When we were graced with her presence dishes were described as yummy, my favorite and my wine selection as my mom drinks that. When I spend $500 on dinner for two I like to be treated as an adult. Other than that it was a lovely evening.

The experience and food was incredible! I would come back here again but with family. The servers were very attentive. The views are to die for. You get an awesome view no matter where you are seated. I felt very comfortable once I got to the host stand. The hostess Kim made me feel special by smiling and greeting me from a small distance. I went here for my birthday dinner and it exceeded every expectation. The host, Alex, went above and beyond to make sure the night was nothing but exceptional. Our server, Freddy, was one of the most hospitable servers I have come across. He was knowledgeable and so genuine. His service was 20/10. I went to this restaurant last night with a friend and was very unimpressed by the service received. The servers clearly favored certain patrons and did not care to make it discreet. The food also was very unimpressive and lacked flavor. I enjoyed the octopus however. It was cooked perfectly some of the best I’ve had. This morning though, my friend and I both woke up feeling very ill. Would not recommend the mushroom tempura it is fried with too much batter and leaves you feeling sickly if you eat very much of it.

I would highly recommend going elsewhere. While the food was just this side of decent, without even considering the exorbitant prices, the horrible and dilatory service sunk this experience at the restaurant.It took 45 minutes for them to clear the table we had reserved from weeks ago. First impression of restaurant when walking in was that it was beautiful and had a great view from the rooftop. We had a reservation for 6 people at 1:30 on Sunday. We were not seated until 2:20! There wasnt a huge line of people waiting but the restaurant was understaffed on waiters. They only had about 2 or 3 waiters for the whole dining room and there were 20+ tables. We didnt get our food til just after 3pm. We had to flag down waiter to get our bill and it was just after 4pm when we got out. I understand that hotels and restaurants are understaffed right now but if thats the case they should not fill up all the tables. Felt bad for the waiters. Otherwise food was good and staff friendly.

The food was good albeit expensive (appetizers, main course, a couple of drinks and dessert set us back over $600), and our waitress was great. But what happened at the end of our meal was unacceptable!After we finished dessert and settled the bill, a staff person came up to us, interrupted our ongoing conversation, and announced that they, apparently, had a two hour limit for tables, and since we were fifteen minutes over, we had to vacate the table immediately. Nobody told us about this ridiculous policy ahead of time, nor was it acceptable to treat us that way, especially after we dropped over $600 on a meal. Oh, and they had nobody waiting. Management should be ashamed of themselves.

Great food in a beautiful setting at the top of the Pendry Hotel. There are some Puck classics along with newer dishes, all with an Asian flair.As with all Puck restaurants, the service is warm, friendly and attentive and all guests are made to feel genuinely welcome. In addition to his great food this is a hallmark to his success.The only downside is the popularity of this restaurant and the hotel generally, which makes for quite a scene and tables are not easy to come by.

I was told this was a better restaurant than Ospero downstairs. Asian fusion turned out to be a weird echo of of an older/ classic Chinese restaurant menu. Everything covered in oily sugary sauces.Nice view but no privacy.

WHAT A VIBE!! Beautiful restaurant in a beautiful hotel. Low lighting, elegant finishes, and floor to ceiling windows overlooking LA; Merois was a sight to behold. A great atmosphere and even better company we stayed for FOUR HOURS. Even though the staff may not have appreciated us staying until the lights came on, they certainly did not show it. We felt at home and at ease. Thank you Byron, Fuji, and all the wonderful staff that made this an experience to remember.

Been here when I gave it 5 stars but at my most recent dinner here multiple things were fumbled on service. The view is great but any dining experience is only as good as its weakest element. Our multiple disappointments, (I wont bother to elaborate) were disappointing.

Amazing view and location. The staff are very professional and friendly.We had some cocktails, oysters, toro, and the Peking duck. The cocktails were great. My gf loved the oysters and toro. The only downside was the peking duck and the price. The presentation is nice. They bring it out for you and show you the whole roast duck. But the duck was dry and bland. They give you a wrap and sauce to eat it with but even with them, it’s just subpar at best. It is super expensive. It was around $130. You’ll have a much better duck at a real asian restaurant at 1/5 of the price. I’d recommend the place for the view and other food. Just don’t get the duck.

You deserve five stars for the excellent service you give in your restaurant! I was thrilled when I got here last Saturday since your staff were really friendly and quick to service my order. Beautiful roof top restaurant with a great view of downtown LA, Santa Monica and on a great day the Pacific ocean and the planes flying into the LA airport. Good food however a very limited menu. Awesome service!

The Pendry is a beautiful hotel and this restaurant occupies a great space on the roof with sweeping views BUT 2/2 times I have been here with high expectations and Merois falls completely flat with service, and the food is pretty forgettable. I, unfortunately, won’t be back… many better options in the area!
