MijoriI was seated right away. However, while others after me were told to sit anywhere, I was sitting towards the back and would have preferred a window. In fairness, I did not ask as this was my first time. ( For reference, there may have been three tables being used, one with a couple of people and the other two with individuals, so not busy.)It took a very long time after being seated to even being asked what I wanted. Even something as simple as water, so while I had planned on staying. I ended up food to go. I was tempted to walk out and leave prior to ordering, not only for not being offered something to drink, but menu was really dirty.Re wait. in fairness, it felt like a hometown place relaxed and slower, but water would have made the difference. The menu, FORTUNATELY, is not complete as I have a couple of sushi rolls that I always try first at a new restaurant just to gauge it against others. & they were not listed. Dragon roll and Caterpillar. The lady who helped me was genuinely nice when I asked for the 2 rolls. However, the quality of the rolls were sub par.The avocado appears to have been sitting out, and some of the elements of the sushi as a whole did not look or taste as fresh. ( I was there early evening, perhaps avocado had been from lunch or at even earlier.)Nothing special, ... may return for a second chance.FYI, my pics make the food look brighter than what was truth.

Great sushi for reasonable prices. They do ask for proof of vaccination and ID. They have good specials. 4 rolls were enough for my husbnad and I. We got 49er Roll (10/10), Shrimp Tempura (10/10), Philadelphia (6/10), and New York (5/10) rolls.

Decent restaurant. We went here for dinner during the week day and seating was pretty easy. We got seated right away and ordered a set for each of us plus some appetizers. However, the kaarage were a bit disappointing? It was not the usual kaarage we have eaten like other Japanese restaurants. The kaarage here was coated with tempura flour so it was different. I’ve had ordered take out from here before and their sushi were good.

Great sushi and selection of other Japanese dishes at reasonable prices. Unassuming on the outside but busy inside. Despite this, we were able to be seated and served miso soup immediately, and overall the servers were fast, attentive, and nice. Would recommend and come back.My husband got the salmon combo dinner. Large portion and tasted great. I got the Y2K role which was also quite tasty.

1st time at Mijori and it was pretty good. We came just 20 min before closing time but the waitress was nice to sit us right away.Menu was good with decent selections and varieties. We usually only eat sushi so we jumped right to that part of the menu.Great prices I must say. Staff was friendly and fast.Sushi was good and decently fresh - cant say it was out of this world. Between the two of us, we shared:- complimentary miso soup which was tasty and heartwarming- 3 nigiris of tuna, salmon and saba (mackarel). Huge chunks of fish, so far the biggest serving I have seen - WHOA! The salmon was a bit fatty tho :(- 4 rolls: rainbow (was good but not great in taste and not the same without the avocado on top), ichiban (definitely my favorite due to the eel, excellent), philadelphia (the usual expectation) and crazy horse which sadly it was the worst it was supposed to have tuna, salmon and hamachi but it felt like raw meat not fish - definitely didnt like this one.-large warm sakeWould definitely return for the affordability.

Fantastic service. Delicious sushi. Very reasonable pricing, especially considering the quality. I understand that there is often a wait during dinner; however, I stopped in for lunch and was seated and served immediately. You should definitely make an effort to enjoy their magnificently fresh fish, whenever in the East Bay.

Great find in a cute part of Oakland. The sushi is very reasonably priced for the quality of sushi they deliver. The presentation is done well and everyone at our table of 10 was very happy. This is not the top sushi I have ever had, but for price and location its a win. There is parking on the street if you can get a spot or in the lot just around the corner.

Their sushi is amazing but I noticed portions are getting a bit smaller. I still love this place. Super clean, friendly staff.

On arrival, was greeted with a tasty cup of miso soup. Value nigiri prices but high quality taste. Offering amaebi, toro, and uni. Generous slices of fish, but still proportionate to rice. Delicious sake nigiri. Spicy tuna hand roll had a nice kick. Great service by wait staff as well. Will be coming back.
