Ive eaten here a few times now the salads are always great Ive had four different ones the only thing with this place is some of the ingredients are a bit different than I am used to but overall a great place to eat.

I don’t usually write reviews but the salads i just got on Tuesday were not what I’d expect from Mixt and definitely not for the price. I got the harvest salad and the peachy — there was barely any lettuce and what was there was not fresh. The proportions of the ingredients for the harvest were also out of wack. I get this salad all the time (but this is my first time ordering from this location). The greens were really past their prime — started getting that weird mildewy flavor — way too much bacon, avocado was also not very fresh. Just seems there is not much attention to detail. Disappointed.

Visiting MIXT in Mill Valley for the first time tonight. The style of the place immediately feels relaxing, clean, and a nice place to sit. Its located on an intersection, but theyve done a great job of shielding you from noise and the view of the traffic when you are there.I didnt have to wait long before being served. I ordered a BEETNIK salad, which was made in front of me in really quick time, and every ingredient looked super fresh.I took a seat outside and enjoyed the evening sun, an a cup of water. Despite intending on eating half and taking half home (it was a generous portion), I ate the whole salad as it was so delicious.They are dog friendly, with a cut dog bowl and water outside on the patio.

I saw this new restaurant open up stopped in for Dinner... I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing experience. You can make your own custom salad by selecting your own lettuce and ingredients. I went with The Cowboy from the salad menu.. it was delicious. The ingredients were crisp and excellent quality. I will be back soon, I love a great salad. Thanks for the great experience.

Super super inconsistent. They try and move to fast, forget ingredients and skimp on others. Romaine lettuce is brown all the time....i just dont get that...its a salad spot. Make sure your lettuce is quality and not old. When they opened, you would get a whole piece of chicken on your $17 salad.... the last 5 times its down to 1/3, or 1/2 of the piece of chicken. You watch the person go to the oven and pull out some skimpy scraps and put it in the salad, then they try and toss it before you see it so you dont know they just skimped you on the one ingredient that would give you value for your dollar. I think Im done with mixt.

Super inconsistent! Brown lettuce, watered down dressings. Sometimes the container is full, Sometimes its half full. Most of the time its missing ingredients because everyone has to read of a list for every salad. When they are at low on a dressing, apparently they water down their dressing rather than make more. And when I add chicken to a salad, Sometimes they put the whole piece, and other times they only put half or 3/4 of it. The amount of brown stem, old lettuce I get in every salad is just unacceptable. And the avocado is ALWAYS brown and gross. I used to come there almost every day, never again.

Salads are delicious and with generous portions. Im so glad they moved into this space in Mill Valley! I recently decided however to pre-order for takeout to save time, and the portions are noticeably smaller -- for sure, the greens are less. Not sure why as I imagine there would be standard sized portions across takeout and dine-in.

If youre in the mood for a mixed salad, this is a great place to go, or order ahead. Id do a lunch takeout, and bring your drink of choice to a nearby park to enjoy the generous, delicious mixed salad in a pleasant environment, hopefully in good company. I loved the Mixt Cobb, my good company enjoyed the Design Your Own. Good photos and descriptions on the website.

I have been waiting for a good salad place in Marin.... It definately had its room for improvements but just thankful to have a place to get a variety of large salads close to home.The issues that could improve are really about the consistancy (sometimes the portions are smaller or bigger or not as balanced), quality of ingredients (brown avocados or dried precut veggies) and all crispy options like the cauliflower are cold and not crispy preservation of the ingredients. These are all very difficult to acheive since they are very crowded and deliver a high volume of food.

Overall, this place is great except for the fact that they seem very much overwhelmed with their new found popularity in Mill Valley. I immediately fell in love with the seasonal Peachey salad, but have since been disappointed twice by it because they have been out of the crumbled corn-bread (which they didnt tell me) and subsequently decided to substitute (without telling me) stale croutons that I had to pick out of my salad because they were so hard I feared cracking a tooth. The employees seem stressed, too. I hope they will get things streamlined because the food, when available, is really good.

The food was good. The Service is good,But taxing us on a 15 dollar salad for your employee welfare program is painfully unnecessary. Articles about this chain insinuate that they are a progressive wealthy company. Why should we be taxed instead of them?

Incredibly disappointing. Salads were soggy (without the dressing), the crispy cauliflower was far from crispy, and the flavor was a little bland. It is a bummer because we were really looking forward to a new salad spot.

Just sorta meh. Greens were soggy, salads were just sorta thrown together, staff was arguing (bizarre)... Theres another one of these expensive salad palaces a few ticks to the North that seem to do a far superior job. Shame, I was really looking forward to this sort of spot in our neighborhood.

Had a Cobb salad today at MIXT- not good- the lettuce was wilted and it gave me the runs- maybe just a fluke but keep an eye out to make sure the lettuce is crispy- we’ll try them again
