Yall definitely gotta experience this sushi spot nestled in San Antonio center (next to Jared). Outstanding customer service! Im really big on hospitality and receiving excellent customer service when Im spending my coins. The waitstaff was kind, courteous, gracious, and informative. We all know sushi, but being able to receive appropriate answers when inquiring about the menu goes a long way!-Appetizers delicious! I could have eaten 200 of those green muscles-Hurricane Roll, OMG!!! So creative and tasty-Butterfly Roll, yes yes and yes!!-Sake was a decent quality as well**CLEAN unisex restrooms!-Chill atmosphere that can be family dinner, a bite after work, a drink at the bar and an appetizer, or date night.Cant wait for another opportunity to experience Mizu.

Pretty good sushi I had the cherry blossom roll. Price was a little expensive to what I am used to in the east coast but the fish was very fresh. There was an odd taste to the daikon to me. The wait staff was very nice. They have outdoor seating too. The fried ice cream is huge and it was very creamy and good with a crunchy outside but the green tea ice cream didn’t have a strong flavor

I went to Mizu with my partner Lily, who also shared some thoughts:I ordered the Yami Yami roll and Lily ordered the Salmon Teriyaki, California Roll, and Tamago 2 piece.Lily: my favorite was the Salmon. The teriyaki didnt overwhelm the fish. The California rolls crab was a bit too plain. I also tried a piece of the Yami and it wasnt spicy enough imo. Overall 8.5/10 its a little expensive for the taste but its still a step upMe: The Yami Yami had this crunch tempora on the outside but it served like a little plate to the fish on top which the spicy mayo complimented well. It was a nice pop flavor. We got seats close to the front and it was still a little cozy. The service was considerate but not intrusive. I agree with the price being too expensive which brings it to a 4 for me but it was a nice experience.

My wife and I went there for our anniversary and everything went absolutely amazing. The food and service was astonishing. You must try the crispy rice and tuna appetizer. Crazy rolls were awesome too. Will definitely bw back soon

Delicate and delicious Japanese food. It was a little pricey. Also the staff recommend us to add chips to the tapas, without telling us it cost extra $5, give the appetizers was $22. I feel not good about this :( the rolls were delicious and with large portions. Hope the menu could include more categories of Japanese cuisine.

We liked the taste of their miso soup and raw sushi rolls, not so much the cooked ones (like the ones with shrimp tempura), as they were too sweet for our taste. Shrimp tempura itself was nice and crunchy, but completely bland. Not sure if it’s supposed to be that way? Seaweed salad was also good

Great sushi place. They serve a wide variety of sushi. The wait staff was very friendly.Rainbow blossom is a must try. We also tried the crazy dragon. Both the sushi rolls were under the spicy section.We also liked the California roll and spicy tuna. They also serve the complimentary miso soup.

I am really upset with this place. We came for my mom’s birthday lunch and sat outside. The food was mediocre and service was good but I kept feeling part of the chair/wicker poke into my pants. At one point I felt like my pant threads were being nicked because of their chair. Later when I went home, there was a giant hole where the chair nicked my pants. And those were my favorite pants, with the brand no longer in production. DO NOT SIT OUTSIDE AT THIS LOCATION OR YOU RISK YOUR CLOTHES GETTING RUINED!!!

It’s a popular place, the staff was nice and helpful. They have a huge menu with many tasty options, we ordered the mango roll and the sun kissed roll, both really tasty (I loved the mango one), the octopus in the takoyaki was a little hard but the taste was great, we will come back!

One of the dishes I ordered was Teriyaki beef. It was not tender at all....it was quite chewy. I wasnt impressed with the quality of their food at all, especially after spending almost $200 for the dinner. I dont think Id go here again.

Beautiful exterior with outdoor waiting area, smaller interior with large screen tv giving a sports bar feel. Sushi is very fresh, service is super quick and alert. The cherry blossom satisfies all areas of the taste buds. Crunchy, moist fried balls so fish, tangy rice, moist sushi fish. A bit pricey, so be ready to splurge!

This place is incredible! We had been ordering food here throughout the pandemic and they were always so fast and friendly and we had our very first dining experience since the pandemic here .We had a part of 6 (18% gratuity is included in check) but they were nice enough to split our bills by couple when we ordered. Seating inside felt far apart and there were bottles of hand sanitizer on every table. Touchless menus were great but they also had hard copies in case anyone needed one. The servers were also all wearing masks as well as the staff and they were all super friendly. They have indoor and outdoor dining options.The food was incredible. The Sashimi is super fresh. The rolls are so good and huge and full of fresh fish. Not super oily. We got the crazy dragon, the butterfly, the mizu special, and Sakura. The hamachi and maguro sashimi was great. Complimentary miso soup and green tea. Our server Ronaldo was the sweetest.Will absolutely be coming back.

Newly opened branch, Korean styled sushi restaurant, nicely decorated with a huge screen TV on top, nice ambience. I have always like the Korean styled sashimi salad with rice and spicy sauce, thats what I ordered. It was actually quite good, fresh vegetables, sashimi cubes were fresh tasting, the sauce could be a bit sweeter for my liking and the $20 price was reasonable considering the location. My friend thought her lunch box was good too (her 3rd time here already).

I asked the hostess if there was a counter seat, since some sushi places have that type of set up. She mumbled something through her 3-years-past-Covid mask, and I gave up, couldnt understand her. I just sat wherever she put me.Waiter was nice. However, I never received any miso soup with my rainbow roll.The rainbow roll was very good, about like those I experienced in other restaurants. It was well prepared. But no more or less authentic than any other I have ever tried.I ordered a lychee martini which was a real highlight, so refreshing, and just sweet enough with lychee juice. Lovely!My order was pricey, 42.00 for 1 person, the rainbow roll, cocktail no dessert or additional items. As aisaid,, no complimentary miso soup.Not sure if I would go back. Just regular folk there, not special, yet, charging high end prices.

First time at Mizu. The food was great, very good presentation and very attentive fast service. My favorite thing to order at a sushi restaurant is chirashi and Mizu did not disappoint - very fresh fish, good selection, large pieces and creative presentation. My companions ordered a bunch of appetizers, liked them and even ordered one of them second time. We definitely will go back!

We tried our first sushi here! It was good and I like the ambience. The rice in the bento box is a pain to eat with chopstiks as it is not as sticky as it is supposed to be. Otherwise I like the food and highly recommend the place to try.

We thought that Satsuma sushi was the best in the area, UNTIL we came here. Omg, thats it. This is the best sushi in Santa Clara county imho. Juicy, flavor-full, delicious and yummy sushi of the Mountain View, Santa Clara and San Jose. I recommend with all my honesty. We love it now, and come here every week with our little baby )

Just had THE Best Sushi-During-Covid-19 Experience at Mizu for lunch today. Where to start?! First of all, Outdoor Dining > Take-out, especially when it comes to being hot and fresh. All our food was perfectly fresh from the hot green tea and miso to sushi and bento boxes. We will definitely be coming back again now that we know this Mizu is both open and still excellent during this Covid-19 pandemic, and because my wife found a way not to break the bank on sushi...My wife had this brilliant plan to keep costs down, since sushi can be a little pricey (as sushi in Mountain View is wont to be), by ordering bento boxes. Oh the cleverness of my wife! I got the most delicious spicy pork bulgogi, like better than at Korean BBQ, with three pieces of delicate, umami agedashi tofu, plus tuna sashimi (three hearty cuts too not just thin slices) that came with plenty of perfectly sticky rice and a light miso dressing salad. Her box had a good portion of crisp vegetable tempura, which she enjoyed even more than the chicken teriyaki (which she didnt love but didnt hate either) she got with it. Then! We also ordered the Cherry 🍒 Blossom Roll, which satisfied our desire for salmon, tuna, and tobiko in roll form. Our plan is that each time we just rotate our which roll we get until weve had them all. With this, we cut our typical bill in half and feel much more full and satisfied, plus got to eat some really good foods we otherwise wouldnt have gotten.We were also comforted by the fact that we saw them disinfecting everything from table to chairs, all employees were wearing masks properly, and the tables were appropriately distanced. We had the prompt, friendly, and attentive service of several waiters, probably because we were the only ones at the restaurant at 12:30 pm on a Wednesday.Mizu had been one of our top favorite sushi restaurants for a long time, started going because I lived near the one on Winchester and would go to a) watch Sharks games and b) sometimes saw Sharks players there too... until we found Yuki Sushi in Santa Clara, which is delicious and incredible itself, however, its farther from home and they dont currently do outdoor dining, so... Mizu is back on top, for the time being, after this visit.

But I still recommend making a reservation!Yellowtail Special Roll// It was yellowtail fish inside the sushi, with yellowtail on top, and then topped with a thinly sliced lemon! Yellowtail everyone! The lemon is so thinly sliced that you can eat it whole. You dont need to remove the white pith. What a refreshing bite! Yummmmy!Hamachi Kama// Grilled yellowtail collar! Came out hot! The ponzu sauce had pureed daikon with green onion! Delicious! That sauce added acid which perfectly complemented the fish!Chirashi:12 piece assortment of chefs choice fish on a bed of rice. It had egg/tamago, seaweed salad with a little bit of roe on top, ginger, rice with seven different fish on top: Albacore (2 pieces), Yellowtail (2 pieces), Salmon (2 pieces), Tuna (2 pieces), Surf clam (2 pieces), Halibut (2 pieces), Sweet Shrimp (1).Consider checking in on Yelp to get a free hot sake!~$26-$30 per person (with tip), but we were all pretty full! Food here was excellent. Definitely recommend you stick with the fundamentals and order from the sushi bar. Salmon sashimi was incredible, fish was unusually fresh and cut so well. I honestly couldnt fault this - pinching myself, but I think its the best Ive ever had(!).Citrus cooked salmon wasnt really ceviche, but was tasty. Kappa maki was superb (liked the toasted sesame), wagyu sticks were delicious but the meat wasnt quite as fatty / tender as Id hoped.Service was very friendly and quick. Another reviewer mentioned that he thought there was no need for the enormous TVs - I totally agree, better off without them.

Overall would rate 3.5 because its good taste, but its not authentic and it is quite pricey.Came back for Happy hour in September after 6 months from my first visit. The happy hour is from 5 to 6 or so; pretty empty at 5, got seated and served very fast. Food was delicious, still not cheap, but at least not expensive. $6 for California roll, $5 takoyaki (6 units) and $9 for thinly sliced salmon carpaccio (great taste though!)We werent given the HH menu until we asked, which was a bit weird.Food was good but it is really pricey for what you get. The restaurant was pretty full, service is not as good as usual japanese restaurants. This is more like a modern restaurant that serves japanese food, doesnt have that japanese feel to it that I enjoy most.

It is an pretty good restaurant and clean interior and exterior. Portion sizes are pretty good and large and we (2ppl) were stuffed with two sushi rolls and an appetizer. The rolls were decorated beautifully as well. The price however is on the pricy side and they’ve risen more than inflation.

I need to leave a shout out for the staff at Mizu here. When DoorDash’s dasher picked up the wrong dinner order for us, Mizu went out of their way to contact me and make things right for our order. 6 out of 5 stars for customer service!And, of course, the sushi here is awesome! Mizu offers a great selection of sushi. The staff is very nice and helpful. The price of sushi is a bit high. If you are getting 2 rolls that could get you $30+ . The boats a good but i wish there was more variety with the boats. The sake is good. The environment is good. The inside can be a bit loud but they provide you with TV or projectors. The outside is good. They have heaters in case it gets chilly.Overall not a bad place for sushi and a drink

Great food! Had the pork donburi and a Philly roll. Really tasty food and was a filling combo. We had a group of 10 for lunch and it felt spacious inside. Service was great, attentive when needed but felt out of the way and let is have our conversations, just the way I prefer. Id recommend to anyone who wants good sushi and a good atmosphere. Parking also was pretty decent too.

Service and hospitality is good, but a little generic. It definitely feels like a corporate chain and I was expecting more homely service. Sushi rolls are Americanized. Not if you are looking for authentic sushi. If you eat them without thinking of them as sushi, they tasted good. We also tried tempura which was good. Pork belly was overcooked and a little dry but not inedible. Service was terrible. Our server disappeared halfway through and we had to go to the from reception to actually get attention of someone. Ordered drink never came to the table. Overall - meh experience. Dont think Ill come back.

Eating here and getting to go is a good experience.Food: The sushi is great for the price, area, decor and location. The rainbow blossom is definitely one of my favs! Its consistently delicious and they give great portions here. They also have a large menu of offerings.Service: The staff has always been fantastic! When you first walk in someone greets you and sits you down with a smile. The food also comes out fast. Also, if you plan to get take out. They dont have you standing and awkwardly waiting. You can sit at the bar and have some water and tea.The Parking may not be the best, but its worth it! Its definitely unrated and should have many more people. Give it a try :)

I would like to start off by saying that I almost never post reviews but this was so ridiculous, that I feel obligated the write this. My husband and I went to this sushi place for dinner on date night. I am a big sushi fan but due to dietary restrictions, I always order the same thing. I order a cucumber and avocado roll and a salmon cucumber avocado roll. This time was no different.I asked for the Salmon roll but to please add cucumber and for a cucumber avocado roll and they said no problem. The food came and they didnt put the cucumber in the salmon avocado roll, so I asked them for the cucumber and they brought it to me on the side. The food was mediocre but edible. Ive had drastically better sushi in other place, but thats fine. The worst part was when the bill arrived.They charged me $10.50 for the salmon avocado roll (add cucumber) and $10 for the cucumber (add avocado) roll. I called the waiter over and asked him how could a roll that has salmon, avocado and cucumber be $10.50 but the same roll minus the salmon be $10? They also charged me $3 for adding the avocado (cucumber roll $7 plus $3 for avocado), which they didnt mention to me when I ordered it. When I told them about it and asked why is the additional avocado so expensive, they said that avocados are very expensive and that they go for a premium, hence the $3 charge. I said fine, then why dont you charge me for the avocado roll which is $8 and add cucumber to it so its cheaper. They said no no no, we cant do that because you said you want a cucumber avocado roll and not an avocado cucumber roll. I almost lost it at that point. Whats the difference, its the same two ingredients! So I asked if I had changed the order of the ingredients when ordering, would you have charged me less and they said yes!. I was shocked. When I told them how it makes no sense to charge me the same amount for a roll with fish and one without, they said thats just how it is. They wouldnt adjust the bill, they didnt apologize for not informing me there would be an extra charge and they wouldnt even admit that the way they charge for items makes no sense. Mind you, if I order from their website online, their extra charge for cucumber is $0.50 and for avocado is $1. I guess their premium avocados in the restaurant go for $3 but on their website its only $1. I have never experienced worst customer service in my life and to have the waiter argue with me about the fact that I said cucumber avocado instead of avocado cucumber is the most absurd thing I have ever heard. Not only would I never go back there but I wouldnt recommend it for neither the food or the experience. Stay clear of this horrible restaurant!

Initially I thought 3 stars which means its ok but 2 stars means is more appropriate since I disliked it. While the build out is very nice and layout is great, the prices are too high for the quality of food. Their $24 sushi lunch consists of California rolls and only 5 pieces of your typical tuna, salmon etc. The salmon sushi was rubbery and chewy because of tendons. The sushi rice tasted old and was not that sticky. This might be a good place for drinks but dont expect a quality dining experience and be prepared for the sticker shock.

This place is walking distance from my house, so I might be a bit biased in my review. When you walk in it’s a really big space and more of a modern feel. You can definitely tell that this space used to be intended for something else.The food selection is really great, you can pretty much satisfy your taste buds with a huge variety of specialty rolls and they even have Korean BBQ on the menu.The reason I am not giving it five stars is because it’s a bit pricey in comparison to other similar quality places. However, they do give you complimentary miso soup. So if you don’t mind spending a few extra bucks on a roll of sushi, then I would totally recommend this place

Sashimi was good, above average portions, atmosphere was good, service was good, overall I’d normally give 4 stars but deducting another star for lack of attention to sustainability. I’d expect that at this price point for seafood, especially raw fish. I asked if they had sustainable options and the server did not know what that word meant and it felt like work to know the source of the seafood. I may go back for some Japanese plates but likely wouldn’t for the sushi and fish plates considering a sustainable focused seafood option is right around the corner.

Expensive, average quality, horrible service. Started before even getting a seat - the host spent nearly 10 minutes yacking on the phone and ignoring the growing line of people wishing to get seats. Once seated, the waiter could not keep straight which drinks were Diet Coke, and which were Coke; we had to switch the glasses a couple of times and, and ask for new drinks when he mixed Coke into the remainder of my Diet Coke. When food finally started coming, the entrees arrived before the appetizers, but worse, one of our party did not receive her food until much later (15-20 minutes), and only after we asked the waiter where it had been lost. Fortunately, for the staff, the bill included an 18% charge for gratuity... Goes without saying, I will not be going back to Mizu Sushi.

The only problem I have with this place is that on the front door is says Monday through Thursday its open from 5pm to 10 pm.. But they are already shutting down at 9:15pm..
