2023-10-05 09:16:51Great staff, great food, great service! Manager was so friendly and easy-going and spoke fluent Japanese. Mazemen was so flavorful, appetizers were so delicious and authentic. Nankotsu and Takowasa were giveaways that this place was an authentic Japanese restaurant, both delicious. Nankotsu had a very nice kick of black pepper that left me wanting more. The OIMESHI concept for mazemen was something that surprised me but makes total sense and I loved it. 10/10 will come again and maybe Ill be able to visit their locations in west LA and Costa Mesa too.

2023-09-29 08:52:19Wow! I was determined to find other places that had dry noodle in this special style, and was so happy that me and my family found this on yelp! They call this Mazeman, and some of the places I tried, I kept thinking, I wish there was more variety, in case a family member doesn’t really eat this style of noodles. Well I don’t have to look any further, as this place has plenty to choose from. Not only was there Mazeman, there was Ramen, and even rice bowls!. I’m not quite sure how the service is in this place, but when I took my order the person helping was nice and patient.FoodSo since it was our first time, and they had so many items we decided to try a few different dishes. Had to try the Deluxe Mazeman. Maybe I have never ordered this to go, but it was an awesome experience. There were instructions on the bowl itself on how to get your Mazeman ready to eat. You have to first heat it up, then add the egg they have for you (it’s cooked a bit) and mix everything up. Then you add the vinegar provided, enjoy and add some rice in the end to finish all the ingredients. The squid appetizer and the chicken they have is so good as well. The place was in a bit of an unexpected location, but it wasn’t too hard to find. It was clean inside and looked modern. I cant wait to come back and try more of the different food that they have. Until next time!

2023-08-21 19:21:47We went there on a rainy day. Not crowded.Mazemen was great. I mean... Come on! We have too many ramen-focused restaurants! It is really nice to see some good alternatives. The plazas parking lot entrances were on Walnut Ave. There is no exit at State College.

2023-05-31 04:08:07An authentic Mazemen spot.I tried the Deluxe and Tokyo. Noodle was really aldente - not too soft and just firm enough texture. Poached egg over the sauce went really nicely together. Very attentive and friendly service. If you like udon noodles minus the broth, I highly recommend this restaurant.

2023-06-10 17:42:15Saw this on IG and decided to give it try. Place was very clean, service was exceptional and attentive. I LHR been cutting back on carbs but demolished my bowl of noodles which was tasty but the noodles texture was exactly how I remembered in Japan. Only downside is that plaza seems to be kind of dead (good for parking) and seemed bit unsecure. Needless to say, lived up to to expectations and will be back.

2023-11-29 16:10:12Upon entering we were asked for the number in our party. We were seated immediately. And our server was by quickly to take our order. There are some really tasty vegan/vegetarian options. We ordered the Mazemen and Ramen. Both were tasty. Im usually skeptical about the impossible meat but they did a good job at seasoning it and the texture was not rubbery. Overall food was 10/10. The tables are a little closer together, but its still comfortable.

2023-02-24 21:55:14My first time trying Mazemen and it was absolutely an unforgettable experience, made even better with the amazing server we had.I ordered the Tokyo Mazemen and he explained to me how it was meant to be enjoyed. It was the perfect amount of spice and I loved the blend of flavors. My sister also ordered the fried peppers as an appetizer while her main dish was the Deluxe Mazemen. The server was absolutely attentive, refilling waters, and even gave us extra napkins when he saw we used up what we already had.The experience is very much worth it.

2023-05-16 23:10:35Stopped in here today for lunch for the first time. If the great and friendly tag team service by Tan and Kristen isn’t enough to get you to come back for another meal, the food most certainly will. They explain step by step how to enjoy this meal: 1. Snap open the egg 2. Mix the ingredients really well 3. Eat half of the bowl before adding the vinegar (don’t skip this step!) 4. Empty the scoop of rice they deliver towards the end to soak up all of the deliciousness of the broth.A few things I really enjoyed about this meal :1. It’s not JUST a meal, it’s also an experience2. Adding the vinegar halfway through? Brilliant - it gives an entirely different combination of flavors as if you’re eating a different meal, and the small scoop of rice at the end is the “icing on the cake”3. You’ll enjoy a party in your mouth and your taste buds will be thanking you even hours after the meal.4. You will leave full and beyond satisfied with the portion-sizeI didn’t get to enjoy it today but they have a great Sake Tuesday Happy Hour and a Wine Down Wednesday Happy Hour which I will have to return for.I would sum up Mogu Mogu in 3 words: More locations please!

2023-01-24 15:28:00Interesting place for noodles. Its a dry noodle with flavorful sauces, chashu, and minced pork for topping. Follow the instructions on the wall so you can enjoy the right way to eat Mazemen.$1 for chili oil but yelp check-in for free.

2022-10-11 23:32:30I ordered the takowasa and curry mazemen. The curry was pretty salty but it had good flavor. I prob wont order it again but I do want to try other items on the menu. Quality was great. Im familiar with the area so I knew how to get there. If youre not its a bit tricky to find. Cant see the restaurant from the street. If it says to turn on Fender Ave you cant lol. You turn on walnut.
