I decided to visit this place based on my friends recommendation for their delicious sandwiches. Since it was my first time there, I was unsure about what to order. Eventually, I made my choice and to my disappointment, the sandwich lacked lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Surprisingly, the person taking my order didnt even bother asking if I wanted any toppings. I found their behavior quite rude.

Ordered ahead but arrived in about 5 minutes. Staff knew I was there but my order was not ready until 10 minutes late and others that came and ordered at the counter while I was waiting got there orders before me. Lesson, dont order ahead if youre going to be early.Sandwich wad great as always. Fresh ingredients and the Dutch crunch bread is my favorite.

Fresh ingredients, fairly consistent service. We are glad to have this quality sandwich spot in our neighborhood. I do wish their hours extended more into dinnertime - we would enjoy eating here more frequently.

Best turkey sandwich Ive ever gotten from a sub shop. Simple, fresh veggies, but its the little bit of that garlic sauce that made it slam. Looking forward to going back.

Dirty sandwich place. I felt disgusted when I entered the shop. From dusty counters to dirty floors. They should at least wipe their dusty counters. And the way they make the sandwiches makes me wonder if they wash their hands/ fresh veggies like lettuce before putting ‘em on the sandwiches. The sandwich was not that good everything was like stale. Used to be good but now -not so much. Won’t go back for a while.

I really enjoy this sandwich shop. I get the #9, Abbott. It is so good with fresh ingredients and delicious Baja sauce. I put one less star only because prices here have skyrocketed and the service was so so. I understand covid, supply issues and all the other issues have caused price increases but dang, near $15 for a sandwich. I went two different times within 3 days and the service was the same, not friendly and almost seemed annoyed to take orders. Maybe theyve been having a bad week. Either way, the sandwiches are grub.

The world needs more sandwich shops and this is the type of place to keep them going! I got the #13 on toasted Dutch bread and it was fantastic (I missed taking a picture because I dove right in). Highly recommend getting an additional pickle on the side as well. They’re gigantic! I wish I lived in the area to be a regular but I will definitely be back.

First time eating here, and it was alright. I tried their chicken bacon sandwich and it was pretty similar to what my local grocery store makes. Not to say the sandwich was bad at all, but I was expecting more. Will try more in the future.

Amazing customer service! The manager made our awesome sandwiches on point even though I wanted mine specifically without lots of sauce; he custom made my turkey cranberry on wheat to healthy, tasty perfection! Then he continued to check on us with a huge smile. Will be returning!!

Highly recommend just calling the store rather than ordering online because the employees will not know how to troubleshoot the issue as they “don’t know how it works”. And because they don’t know they told me my order would be behind all the other orders. When I told them I’m cancelling everything their only response was “sorry”. The San Mateo location is probably a better bet in terms of customer service anyways.

Unfortunately quality has gone completely down here the last few times ive gone. The meats seem old, chewy, just not fresh (chicken for example). Also they arent putting typical amounts of content one would expect inaide the sandwich, like bery little lettuce sometimes or too much sauce, process and quality is at this location is no more.

Fast, friendly, efficient service and delicious food! The young man in the afternoon with the nose ring is always jovial and remembers my order by heart. Large portions and extensive menu, the vegan and vegetarian options are amazing. 10/10 would eat here again

Big tasty sandwiches made quickly. A little tiny bit pricy for a sandwich but worth it if youre ready to splurge. They use good ingredients. Not the greatest sandwich shop in the world (ahem, Ikes) but so much better than subway.

Food was very good. They had a good drink selection and chip selection. I had the chicken salad sandwich, I wish I would have gotten mayo on it because chicken salad was a little dry. But it was tastey anyway. Customer service could have been better also. Good place though.

Love the sandwiches here. Menu has about 50 combinations/ specialty sandwiches and everything is customizable. They do a large call in lunch order so plan your timing.

Its a low key place, but the food was great and price was reasonable. Lots of people complain about the service, but I got smiles and friendly folks when I went in there for lunch. Its a small place (only 4 or 5 tables) but Twin Pines park is a short walk away where you can eat outside if its full.

Good big tasty sammiches.Decent drink selection.Reasonable prices.There is some seating, but I usually grab and go.Some parking along the street.Better parking around the back and side of the building.So, you find yourself near Ralston and El Camino. Not looking to drive to Palo Alto or find a Togos, Subway, Safeway, whatever? Seriously, I wanted something in Belmont, and this was it. Done. Thanks!Mr. Pickles is a mom and pop old school sammich place. Theyve always been clean in food prep, good fun people. They take plastic, its all good. And yes I know how to spell sandwich, but why, right?it is good, I mean, dont expect to have a foodgasm in my mouth, really, its a fricken sammich right? The garlicy sauce is perty yummy though. So get over it, and enjoy :)
