Mr. Pickles Sandwich Shop
891 Ralston Ave, Belmont, CA 94002, United States
Good big tasty sammiches.Decent drink selection.Reasonable prices. There is some seating, but I usually grab and go.Some parking along the street.Better parking around the back and side of the building. So, you find yourself near Ralston and El Camino. Not looking to drive to Palo Alto or find a Togos, Subway, Safeway, whatever? Seriously, I wanted something in Belmont, and this was it. Done. Thanks!Mr. Pickles is a mom and pop old school sammich place. Theyve always been clean in food prep, good fun people. They take plastic, its all good. And yes I know how to spell sandwich, but why, right?it is good, I mean, dont expect to have a foodgasm in my mouth, really, its a fricken sammich right? The garlicy sauce is perty yummy though. So get over it, and enjoy :)

6/22 Edit:I recently ordered a falafel wrap online, for pickup. I was in a rush.and didnt pay attention to the particulars, paying with Google Pay.The price has risen to $14.00, which is pricey. However, it is an exceptional wrap.I was shocked to later notice the total was almost $20. Turns out, they have a default tip of 20% (for pickup?!) and a $1 convenience fee. I only tip for personal service, as was intended (To Improve Performance). I missed it, and so will others. A living wage tips shouldnt be confused.Pick up is convenient for the restaurant.Everything I wrote below still applies. However, I wont order pickup anymore!Previous review.Friendly efficient service. Restaurant is bright and immaculate. Food is fresh and delicious!I order the Falafel Pita off their website for pickup. Creative ingredients and a meal in itself for under $10! Their packaging is compostable, which is a nice touch. Unfortunately, they opened their doors right at the start of the pandemic. Lets support them. Theyre are nice additions to Belmont!

Falafelle
1035 Ralston Ave, Belmont, CA 94002, United States
HEALTH WARNING BELOW, BE AWARE!Plethora of healthy food and explosion of flavors!!! Please, don't miss on the VEGAN LASSI made of organic soy milk (doesn't taste like soy, it tastes like mango) and VEGAN BAKLAVA - all plant based.Their falafel pocket (pita sandwich) is always a fantastic and easy/convenient choice. But if you want to share, and more variety I love to go for their FALAFELLE COMBO - it is like eating rainbow, so many sources of vitamins, minerals, and fiber:Six falafel balls served with hummus (made of protein rich garbanzo beans), tabbouleh (parsley - rich in vitamin C and antioxidants), and two pieces of Dolma (grape leaves are so good for you, fiber, iron, magnesium etc) in a plate with zesty cabbage (vitamin B1, B5, B6), beets (folate vitamin B9 amongst other benefits) sauerkraut (probiotics), roasted red peppers (vitamins C, E and beta-carotene), house salad (fresh tomatoes and cucumbers), sumac onions (sumac is a super food for its ORAC value, meaning antioxidant level in 100gr - much higher than famous blueberries, cinnamon, turmeric and cloves), pickled turnips (vit A, C, iron) and pickled cucumbers, mild banana peppers - I won't be able to list all benefits!Dont want a topping? Add it as a note. Feel free to add premium toppings as well. We suggest adding Baba Ghannouj! When I eat their food I can confirm that Mediterranean cuisine is the healthiest. Even though I don't know the owners I feel like they are the most kind, caring, and hospitable. Food is delicious and portions are generous!ALSO PLEASE OPEN LOCATION IN SAN FRANCISCO Japantown, that is where we live and you won't have any competition, we need good Mediterranean food like FALAFELLE there ??

Eats Meets West Bowls
1602 El Camino Real Ste A, Belmont, CA 94002, United States
We first went there during a massive heat wave during a power outage a few weeks ago, and because we couldn’t cook at home we were looking for a place to eat with A\C. Unfortunately their AC was fairly minimal, so we didn’t get the cool relief we wanted. However the food was absolutely amazing and unique, not to mention healthy and very accommodating to special requests. One person in our family is a vegetarian, another is strictly Keto, and another eats only like a meat eating cave man. All of us left very happy, including the cave man — even though he had no idea how to order, or why he was even there. Today we went there as a family for a second time and all loved it again — including the cave man, again. We gave him the choice to go with us or get something else, and he chose to go with us — a minor miracle considering he is a meat and potatoes guy. He loved it.One really fun thing about it is that they serve their food in giant heart shaped bowls. I don’t know why I care so much, but this makes the food both fun to eat and tastes so much better somehow! I’ve even gone online to find the bowls so I can order some for home use. I absolutely loved using them and want a few for home.* SUGGESTION* If I were the restaurateur I would sell the bowls. I bet a lot of people would love to buy them. I would for sure. For that matter they should sell some of their special toppings, in to go containers. I would also buy those. And I’d buy the sauces in pint containers. There’s alot to love about this place.I left feeling so light and healthy, which is rare for dining out. I didn’t over eat and I didn’t deviate from my keto plan. It was a very good feeling to get a healthy big meal without feeling uncomfortably stuffed. After I got home I sent pictures of our meal to my best friend, and got back the response: “wow, that looks amazing. We are SO going there for lunch!” So, it looks like a have a new favorite restaurant! ♡ ♡Lastly the decor and staff are extremely friendly, kind and warm people. I love seeing the family photos on the wall — all the kid pictures are so sweet. It’s a lovely touch and makes me genuinely love these people (whoI don’t even know!).

Godfathers Burger Lounge
1500 El Camino Real, Belmont, CA 94002, United States
We came in to the area from out of town and arrived very hungry around 2:30 in the afternoon. We were shocked to find that so many restaurants in the area were closed on a Sunday afternoon. Thankfully, we found that Godfathers Burger Lounge was open. There were 3 of us that were gluten free and they had great options for us (the gluten free buns were delicious). We were also so happy to see free range chicken and vegetarian items on the menu. The specialty sauces were so good! Our waiter was very friendly. The atmosphere inside was very cool. After driving around for quite awhile to find a restaurant that was actually open, we were so grateful to find this gem. Thanks for saving our hungry crew!

I can swear that this place is amazing :)

La Mexicana Bakery & Taqueria
4729 E Belmont Ave, Fresno, CA 93702, United States
I came in today to have some tacos from this hidden gem in a Fresno. The owners of the restaurant are great family friends, and have catered many events for my loved ones over the years, and are simply fantastic and consistent. Everyone in staff provides outstanding customer service, as well as piping hot fresh food. For a restaurant that is very simple, they make up for it with great flavor and generous portions. Their carnitas are killer, asada, and the crispy tripas are to die for! Their tacos dorados (crunchy tacos) are also perfect with some pico de gallo. If youre ever in the neighborhood dont hesitate to stop by and check this place out, you wont regret it!!***** new review for 5-27-23I had this wonderful company cater my wedding of 180 people, and Victor and his staff did a phenomenal job! They arrived promptly, provided outstanding service, and the food was a home run!!!! They started off with appetizer of homemade tortilla chips, chicharrón, and tacos dorados with pico de gallo on top. After the appetizers, they started the line for the tacos. They served carnitas, carne asada, chicken, and veggie tacos for my vegan/vegetarian guests, and it was above my expectations on flavor and overall experience. I highly recommend them for catering because their sole purpose is making sure their customers are truly satisfied from start to finish. Everyone at my wedding reception was raving about how fresh everything was, and how quick they were taking orders as well. If you want 5 star catering with the royal treatment, La Mexicana is the way to go, no questions asked!! Victor, once again thank you to you and your staff for making our special day the best we could ask for, we appreciate it sincerely from the bottom of our hearts!! ????

Country Fare Caf
4662 E Belmont Ave, Fresno, CA 93702, United States
The food was one of the best Ive ever had at a Mexican restaurant!!!! And Im not exaggerating. I found out about this spot from a local at the Veterans parade in Fresno.. I was asking around to see where the spots were in Fresno. Rebecca from Fresno at first was hesitant, then I chopped it up with her for awhile, then she said, my go to spot is Country Fare. .. I asked her what kind of food the restaurant was. She said Mexican, then she showed me pictures. I went with my wife and kids, and it was in the heart of the barrio and it was packed! We got sat down right away and started with chips, salsa, and guacamole. Customer service is top notch, and the establishment is very friendly. The totopos, salsa, and guacamole were fresh. The totopos were ?. My kids ordered combination plates, my wife had the lengua plate mixed with bellpeppers onions and tomato, and the chile colorado plate was so tender, and flavorful, the kicker was the homemade flour tortillas that are very tasty I think estilo Sonora. I have never found a Mexican restaurant where everything tasted great, and I think I found it in this hidden gem for me but not for the locals, which is a staple for Fresno, Califas. You lucky people!!!! And to my homegirl Rebecca from Fresno, whom I barely met yesterday with her mom and her grand daughter at the Veterans parade. See you at the Christmas parade for those homemade burritos!!! Ill be waiting!!!! The pricing is legit and welcoming for all!! Cant say that for a lot of taqueria and restaurants.

Dog Haus
1000 El Camino Real, Belmont, CA 94002, United States
Honestly I’ve lived on Ralston for over 20 years and have seen many restaurants at this location including 5 Guys hamburgers. I was dubious about this lasting. But man, oh man, is it good. I love the choice of beers and the choice of vegetarian options. I always choose the Impossible burger and my husband and roommate get various other choices. All of which have never disappointed. Iris, the manager (I think), and whoever else works the bar are rock stars of service and kindness. Please give them a try. I don’t want to see another amazing place go away when it’s fills a void in this neighborhood and they have great food to boot!! You will NOT be disappointed.

Divino Ristorante
968 Ralston Ave, Belmont, CA 94002, United States
My wife and I went to this restaurant last night (10/19/2018) since we were in the mood for Italian food. We had a reservation for 8 PM. We got there right at 8 PM and were seated in couple of minutes. The server was helping a large party but was still very responsive and helpful. IOW the service was excellent. We were also served with water, bread and a parsley dip as soon as we were seated. I am not a big fan of parsley so I found the dip too strong and lacking salt and pepper. We added a little bit of ground pepper to make the dip a lot more appetizing. The waiter recommended an Italian wine, Brunello Montalcino. Suffices to say, hands down, that was the BEST part of the meal. Too bad the restaurant had nothing to do with the creation of the wine :).We started with an appetizer that had grilled calamari with arugula and cannelloni beans. The calamari was excellent but the salad itself was average since it had very little flavor. It was also very greasy. For main course I ordered the sea food medley with quinoa (on the menu this item is listed as Quinoa) but I had the chef substitute quinoa with linguine since this restaurant is supposed to specialize in home made pasta. The sauce was flavorful and the sea food was very well cooked but the linguine was tough...My wife ordered pappardelle with bolognese sauce. It was short on salt and little bit too greasy. The pasta, however, was very good.We ended with a dessert made with amaretto and chocolate pudding. It was excellent. In summary, there are some items that seem to be excellent and others mediocre. I suspect their wine list is great. Taking all aspects into account, I would rate this restaurant as an average Italian fare.
