I like here，food is fresh and like Asian style ，Some people think that the service attitude is not warm enough, may not understand the Asian culture, we are more subtle.

Went there for dinner and you can tell they were understaffed. They had 1 person taking orders seating, serving food & drinks while handling takeout. But this didn’t detract from my experience! She was very nice and checked on us when she could. Food was good but looks like a limited menu at the time. I would like to come back when they are fully staffed and fully open

Very good tofu soup combo place, and one of my favorite place to go for lunch, however their service has been consistently poor, you need to be real patient as their eyes looking on the ground most of the time and they walking back with empty hands if you know what I mean that in restraint service. I would say they offer very decent food and fairly priced, just ignore the service attitudes

The food is authentic and fantastic. I recommend trying the combo with a BBQ entree + tofu soup (or bibimbap + tofu soup). All the tofu soup options are the same price.I do agree with some reviews that the service is on the slow side perhaps due to understaff issue. We came here on a Sunday night around 6 pm. There was no wait but at least ten parties were dining in overall. We actually got our drinks and food fairly quickly, but the follow-up was on the slow side. However, this would not keep me from returning to the restaurant because the food quality is great.

Faced discrimination when attempting to dine in with my wife. Initially informed its only for takeout. However, observed a Korean couple and later a Korean mother and son being seated. It seems we were denied the opportunity to dine in because of our Hispanic background. A disappointing experience.

1st The Good = Been coming strictly for tasty food and soups for 19 years once a month since I live a mile away.2nd The Bad = Tall lady with glasses (she’s been working there every since) never smiles, mumbles 1 syllable then walks away with a serious countenance and disposition (no water refill) the 2nd older lady by the counter? same, no talk no smile, just a frowning face like a fixture (Sorry to say this ladies but you chose this job)3rd The Ugly = Interior needs major renovation and refurbishment, for as long as I’ve been eating there it smells like an old musty garage with an abandoned oil spill.PS: place is now temporarily closed, hopefully things will be resolved.

Weve been coming to Myungdong for years. The food is excellent, and were very happy theyre providing table service again. Some reviewers have criticized the wait staff, in my opinion unfairly. This is a small, independently owned restaurant. Having a little patience, and being polite in turn, goes a long way to enhance your experience.

I came here couple times before. i like the foods. but not the services. always wait so long to be serve. the lady there doesnt look friendly. and they no longer dine in anymore. last time i was here. the foods all put in the boxes when you dine in.no more hot stone bibimbap. i was not enjoy food with those boxes togo like that. not looks good at all. not worthy to eat here

The food was good enough to eat, but the service was horrible. I wouldnt go back there again. The food was too incredible to take the trip there. However, this was the service I have received in years! After bringing us the food, they never came back, not once, to ask us how the food was or to give us water. We were really thirsty so we walked up to them to ask them for water. The server said he would bring us the water soon; he didnt even apologize for not bringing us water, but he didnt bring it out for 16 minutes at which we gave up waiting and left the restaurant. We ended up getting drinks at the 99 Ranch Market because we were so thirsty. The food was okay at best but its definitely not worth going again to receive that kind of service.

Very bad and rude waitress. I was there last night my family spent $60 for dinner. All the waitress are rude. They treat other tables better than my table. Maybe because my family are a different race. The food is good, but the service is very terrible. My mom got burned on her hand from the hot stone. The waitress didnt even put it on the middle table, she just put it on the edge. I would not go back here again.

Owner lady, waitress... their attitudes were horrible. 5 of us sitting there... only one set of small portions of side dishes were brought out. R u kidding me? Korean restaurants are well known for their side dishes.Even after requesting the extra set, so we all get to at least taste eveything, she never brought them out. Actually she gave us a look with rolling of eyes as she turned the corner.We couldnt order fried dumplings either because of the oil temperature wasnt fully hot therefore not avail. It was already a lunch time, people!!! What time did you come to the restaurant to get ready for the customers?They posted signs asking people to apply for the hall serving, no, such an awful environment to work at, theyll be looking for a long time.

Always a must during a nice cold and rainy day. Their hot stone combos are my favorite. I always enjoy the dumpling tofu soup with the bulgogi hot stone combo. Delicious! This is my go-to tofu soup place when I get a craving. Dont come here if you are in a hurry. The service takes a little while longer because they usually only have 1 or 2 servers working. I never mind it because the servers are always friendly and the food is great.

My first time here today and upon arriving, we were greeted by a server and was immediately seated. We ordered and food came out in about 10-15 minutes in hot plates! We love the seafood tofu and the well-marinated galbi beef. The spicy octopus was a little tough. We requested for extra kimchi but the server said they are almost out so they cannot give extra servings. Also, we wanted to order the seafood pancake but it was out of stock.We will probably be back to try other dishes.

I ordered the octopus bibimbap, it was like chewing rubber, worse than rubber, impossible to eat. I tell this to the waitress to request a change, she refuses, argues with me for 5 mins, says this is how octopus is. I eat octopus all the time and I usually love it, to rebut like this to a unsatisfied customer is beyond my comprehension and incredibly rude. I will NOT be back.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Im vegan and this place acts like they have vegan and vegetarian friendly. I order a bimbimbop/ rice plate and told the waitress that I want no meat. She came back with fish all over my plate. I worked in food for a while myself and I know mistakes happen. When I told the waitress that I ordered no meat and if they would kindly remake it. She gave me attitude and even argued with me that fish isnt meat! She yelled at me and refused to take the plate back. I told her that my order is wrong and that fish is considered meat to a vegan and vegetarian. She rolled her eyes and snatched my plate away and simply picked out the raw fish. I was so digusted when she brought it back. I told her i wasnt going to eat something that was touch by meat. She rolled her eyes again and never apologized. I was so stunned that this place was considered vegan or vegetarian friendly when they didnt even know the fundamentals of veganism. I complained to the manager and she was just as rude and that they will not lift the price of my plate after I refused to eat it.Dont be fooled by the title of this place. They have TERRIBLE service! And EXTREMELY RUDE staff. And NOT VEGAN/VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY! They will actually argue with you and force you to pay for a plate you refused to eat! Please avoid this place!

We frequent this tofu house on cold days. We always get the combos that come with entree and tofu soup. We almost always get the beef bulgogi and Galbi. For us, the portions are enough where we are almost full after the soup and a little of the entree. The included appetizers are tasty and compliments the meals.

Family-owned Korean restaurant that makes their own banchan (theyre known for their kimchi). I took my wife there when we were dating and now our kids love it. Prices are reasonable, and the service is the kind that doesnt rush you, but lets you enjoy your meal without interrupting. Best to have time on your hands when you go so that you can enjoy the wonderful food. Not fancy, can sometimes get loud and understaffed, but the food is worth it!

Always friendly and great food, it is better to try your first time with lunch than dinner as lunch since is a bit cheaper. The combo is the best way to go for the price. They also have to go containers, so you could have it take home for next meal if you couldnt finish all.

I have lived in Korea and this has some of the best food from there. If you are expecting American style service you wont get it here. They dont check on you every five seconds because they dont want to interrupt your meal. Also the prices are great! We bring our friends and family here.

This is one of the least unhealthy options for eating out in the area, but their quality has been declining in the last four years or so. The side dishes this place serves is a little less than so-so, the price of food compared with the portion and quality, including the side dishes, is a little higher than the average youd see and expect from Korean restaurant and even other soon tofu restaurants in even the Rowland Heights area.

We had a bibimbap and bulgogi hot stone combo here and it was great. It comes with a tofu soup that comes in different flavors. The side dishes that they serve are more than plenty and they will also refill them for you. I highly recommend this place especially for the tofu soup

My husband and I come here all the time. Everything they make is delicious and authentic. One of us will get a combination of beef bulgogi with tofu soup, while the other gets only the tofu soup. Its plenty, especially with all the little plates of kimchi, seaweed and other tasty treats they give. One of my top 3 places to eat out!

Itd been years since I last went here until I decided to go again for old times sake. My group had the soon tofu and tonkatsu. The soon tofu was very delicious, and the side dishes werent half bad either. However, Im docking the place for its tonkatsu. It certainly wasnt awful, but it was extremely subpar compared to other places. You could easily make tonkatsu of that quality at home.

Very speechless Korean sticks, who knows, the bad attitude is not unfriendly, I spent 96 dollars and it feels like I would rather not eat it, do you understand, I want to say in my heart: I have never seen it.
