Best Authentic consistent Imperial Rolls I have ever had. Nams Red Door has yet to disappoint me. Pedros best hole in the wall.
Banh mi, Vietnamese for sandwich, has been one of my diet staples since I was a kid. In San Francisco, there is really only one neighborhood where you can procure these delectable snacks: the Tenderloin, otherwise known as Little Saigon. According to a friend of mine, Saigon Sandwiches is known to be the best Vietnamese deli in the Tenderloin. The line out the door was my first indication that this might truly be the case.
I just called to ask if they have Pho tai (eye of round steak) and the guy that was on the phone was already being rude and seeming as if he didnt care. So i said this is this a pho restaurant? because I thought I called the wrong number and he starts flipping out being rude and hangs up on me. ridiculous.
Awesome place! ive been coming here for years! the food is amazing. awesome atmosphere. would recomend 10/10 if you were looking for some good grub
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Rude. Acts like you’re not there. The Mom who is the cook, just talks and nags so loud about the customers.

Went here cause I didn’t want to drive 20 minutes to another place. Place was grundgy, price was ok but food was bland and had a hair in it.

I went and tried this place once because I was surprised to find a Vietnamese restaurant in San Pedro. Its just a mom doing the cooking and son taking orders.

2017-10-19 01:56:47Small place on 23rd and Pacific in San Pedro. Normally this kind of place you drive by. But do yourself a favor theyre open for lunch and dinner only and got to stop and eat because you keep coming back.Ive been eating there for 35 years. The owner is the chef right there in front of you. Snow does all her own prep work. Her son is the waiter and handles the counter and register. Pretty much a two-person show. They have an appetizer called Imperial Rolls, Almost every person that comes in orders this appetizer. Cant explain it its just fantastic. Its like an egg roll that you wrap in lettuce and cucumber cilantro and mint dip it in a fish sauce, and when you bite down on it, you get a hot Crunchyroll wrapped with lettuce and the cucumber and herbs inside. Plan flat just good. There dinner dishes are put together with chicken or pork or beef or shrimp. You put these dishes together with different sauces and Seasonings, with some rice, noodles, fried noodles and vegetables. Hot dishes, curry dishes, fried rice and daily specials. If you like this style of food youll love this place.

2016-10-10 02:39:30Great food, cooked fresh per order. Ive been coming here for 25 years. Its like being in a private kitchen of Nams home. It only seats about 20. If you sit at the counter you can watch Nam chop your vegetables that she takes out of the box that they get delivered in, and the girddle and burners for pots and pans are all right in front of you like an old breakfast diner.The food is delicious and portions are good size. Business hours are short but you figure you are eating in her home kitchen is the feeling you get so, you deal with the hours.

2017-07-27 15:15:28We found this little spot quite by accident. Its pretty much void of atmosphere, but the food was really good. The owner was working alone the day we visited and she was frazzled because a huge order came in. We waited 30 minutes for our food, but she was very apologetic, and it was worth the wait. I found it a little bit expensive considering the space and the type of food (we paid $25 for fried rolls, a medium sized bowl of pho and one Corona before tip). But wed definitely go again when in the area.

2017-10-27 03:58:38First time here, never knew it existed until a friend of mine moved to Pedro and we were craving some Vietnamese. I got the Curry Tom and some Imperial Rolls. The rolls were alittle off but the curry was great! Very authentic flavor. felt like I was a guest in their home.

2019-02-03 01:36:59I ate here and the food was good. This place has a nice family restaurant vibe. It would have been a great experience if it wasn’t for the absolutely terrible customer service. Our waiter constantly tried to rush us out the restaurant and never checked in with us. If I wanted to make additions to my order I’d have to walk to the counter to be noticed. The food is great, but for the terrible customer service I do not find this place worth visiting ever again.

Choose your favourite meats and how spicy you’d like, from Mild to Hot.Wrap the hot Imperial Roll in a leaf of the accompanying lettuce, add a slice of cucumber and some leaves of mint or corriander. Roll together and dip in the sauce. Enjoy!

2014-05-06 21:36:28Worst Vietnamese food I ever had. Pho taste like dishwater. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. If its possible to give - 100 stars I would. I was there today. Its May 6th 2014. Around 1 pm. I cant believe how bad it was. So horrible! Amount of food you get is not matching the price and test so disgusting. Please dont go there if you looking for Vietnamese food. Good luck.
