Extremely tasty noodle dishes - All noodle dishes we tried were really excellent. Also, the sticky rice dessert is super tasty! I agree with some of the other reviews that the staff could really try to be friendlier. However, who cares about that if the food and price are great?

Firstly, we had a to-go order and ended up with something completely different from what we ordered when we got home.Second thing, This place needs to improve its customer service. Weve visited twice, and while the food is good, getting assistance from servers is consistently challenging. Theres a male server who comes across as unprofessional and rude. Its disappointing that the staff doesnt seem to know how to greet customers properly. Good food loses its appeal without great service.

Overall food and experience was good.Heres my dine-in experience: Once you arrive they ask if you are dining in or taking out. We dined in, so they asked us to sit and brought us a cup of water each. You then place your order using the QR code on the table and you wait for your food. You can notify them you are either ordering more or checking out using the same QR code. However, there was no option to order more water, nor was there anyone asking if we needed more water. I like the mostly contactless experience but given that most of the food here is spicey, they should at least leave out a water refilling station.1 fairly clean unisex restroom was available as the other was out of service.

I was expecting it to be a wonderful experience. But food was just OK. Dont get me wrong, they really have a huge variety but the taste is just not yet refined to the authentic tastes. The beef soup noodle was not tasty, the tomato base beef noodle only had tomato flavor and no depth. The dry mix noodle was too pasty. The appetizers were really good though.

Ve had this place bookmarked for a while. I happen to have some free time and I was in Irvine so I decided to check it out. I ordered the hot and sour noodle soup I believe is what its called. Number 14 for sure.When I was getting my order taken it was kind of a language barrier I couldnt make out what he was saying and I dont think he understood me.When I got my food, the noodles werent the glass noddles I was expecting and I didnt remember there being beef. Nonetheless I ate it. It was really good the flavor was good it had a good kick of spice without overpowering the broth. It reminds me of a Vietnamese Spicy Beef Noodle Soup (bun bo hue).Aside from the flavor being different there were a couple other things that the Vietnamese dish it is comparable to doesnt have. Bamboo and peanuts. Not just peanuts but roasted peanuts with the skin still on. Omg that was my favorite part!The portion is huge. The restaurant is clean. The staff was attentive to ensure my water was always full.Only thing that I had trouble with here was two people who were hard to understand when ordering my food and when they called me from the wait list. Not deal breakers. The beauty of being able point on the clipboard to ensure were in the same page.I may have been a little upset since I got the wrong order but all an all I got the #4 the braised beef that was recommended in most reviews. I was between this one and what I was trying to order anyway.I definitely was not disappointed. I will be back to try other soups and their cold appetizers.

Had the Chengdu Braised Beef Noodle Soup; it was pretty good. Im a fan of A&Js Beef Noodle Soup (been a customer of A&Js just down the street for 25 years) and this was a good substitute. About the same spicy level, but with peanuts. Would have loved the option to put pickeled mustard greens in (other noodles have that included) though.

Its a Chinese restaurant specializes in Noodles from different province of China. The soup is flavorful. Our first time here and order Chengdu Beef Noodle soup and Chinese pickles beef noodle with chicken soup. They are flavorful and good portion for the price. Definitely will come back to try other selections.

Tasty noodle spot. Good portions, seasoned well and hits the spot. I like #10 sauteed noodle with pork (regular noodle) especially. This is probably the best noodology that I have been to. The flavor is amazing and the soup is hot. They skimp on toppings compared to the other locations but the flavor is the best out of them all.My #10 had the perfect amount of flavor in it and the beef was not bad at all. The noodles were perfectly cooked.I recommend that everyone should go here at least once to try out some dishes from across the Chinese culture.

Super good!!! Ive heard of this place here and there but finally got around to trying it. I came here with two Texans who are very not Asian, but they both loved it! Its definitely a good place for everyone, in my opinion.We ordered two things:#4 - Traditional beef noodles with Chinese pickle. I specifically requested no cilantro, but they gave me a soup with cilantro. When I brought this up to the waitress, she took the soup back to fix the mistake. I thought they would do kind of a best-effort removal of the cilantro, but I think they ended up remaking the entire dish. Either that, or they did a PHENOMENAL job removing them because I couldnt find a single trace of cilantro in the bowl she brought back.#6 - Beef noodles with green & red chili peppers. The two Texans shared this dish and they loved it. I think they were caught off guard with the spiciness, but they finished this it regardless and were very happy with their meal.Oh, also the portions are HUGE so maybe keep that in mind or find someone to share with.

Most of the food served are spicy and numbing. Im not a big fan of numbing spicy food but some of the dishes are good. I ordered the mince meat bean thread noodle and crystal jelly for dessert. It took me a while to finish half a bowl of noodles as its spicy for me, but the dessert was definitely refreshing.

WORST TAKEOUT EXPERIENCE EVER. So I ordered the tomato noodle with some add-ons on Postmates and they text me that it’s ready for pickup 30 mins later. I go to pick it up only for them to tell me they sold out. Why didn’t they just cancel my order then instead of having me to drive out there??? Then they tell me they can’t cancel it and told me to get something else. So I chose the tw beef noodle soup since they’re all the same price with the same trimmings. But no, they ran out some of the add-ons, except for the pickled veggies. At this point I didn’t care. I just took it and went.Second phase of my disappointment: the food. The soup was bland. The noodles and meat were over cooked. Instant ramen would taste better than this.Last phase of my disappointment: several hours in and I have the runs now. Thanks for the wonderful evening, noodology. BLACKLISTED.

3.5 stars rounded to 4. Was looking forward to a decent noodle place in Irvine but a bit disappointed. Broth was lukewarm and lacked ingredients. Needlessly to say, bad service but was pretty much a given. Parking is horrible at 12, but 1230, the spots usually open up.

One of the few places that have integrated the just order on your phone by scanning QR code. Make it easy to just do that once we were seated instead of waiting for a server we just scanned and ordered and waited for our food. Of course the old traditional method isnt gone, so they accommodate everyone.The food portion of the review, the cold wood ear fungi dish was too vinegary, so it was too much to eat on its own. They could definitely use less vinegar or add a little more sugar. Even when we brought it home and added sugar, it couldnt mellow out the flavor. My noodle dish was pretty decent, but I wouldve loved to see more of the peanut note to the sauce. My girlfriends soup noodles were kinda meh because the pieces of beef in her dish were tough so she was only able to eat about 50% of the pieces.I mean I would still give it a try, decent food and fast for lunch time rush.

I’m one of the other person at noodology 3/23 around 7:50pm who experienced an awful and terrible service from this guy named Jimmy. We would definitely pursue this matter to the end until we get a satisfactory response and action from this restaurant! At the meantime, we will keep spreading such serious problem to other platforms such as Facebook, instagram, red book, WeChat and etc. We are looking forward to get a respected, equally treated responses and action from the owner soon. Be aware!!! Worst service experience ever and the cashier change tip amount after you left. My wife and I visited this place on May 8th night around 7:30pm. The only table available was by the door. The staff left the entrance door wide open saying the restaurant needs good air and refused to close it. Wind blows and it was freezing cold. As a result, I was dissatisfied with the service and left 1 dollar tip. Surprisingly, when I check my charges just now, I saw they added 6 dollars to my total bill. What a joke, you don’t get tip well if you provide 0 or negative service. The total charge before tip was $43.05, I wrote $44.05 on the receipt and got charged $49.05. I didn’t remember the cashier’s name but he was a short Asian guy. Be careful if he serves your table!!!

This is my go-to place for soup in the area (if my soup craving is not for ramen). The soups here are good but they do vary a bit. It may take a little trial and error to find the one that fits your preference although I havent found one yet that I didnt like. I even like their chopsticks, much better than most other soup restaurants.My favorite so far is the #6 - beef rice soup with red and green chili (its really spicy though). The #1 is also pretty good...but there are still some that I havent tried yet. Its hard to try new ones when I already have one I really like, but Im slowly working on it!

At around 7:50pm 3/23, we ordered at noodology. We had already ordered one for takeout, but we wanted to eat and order more in the restaurant, so we waited at the entrance. A shorter guy with a hat asked us how many people were in our group, and we said two. He told us to wait about 10 minutes. We asked if we could sit outside, and the waiter said it was fine, so we went through the glass doors that connected the indoor and outdoor seating areas. When we were about to order, we noticed that the outside tables and chairs were a bit dirty, so we were going to go inside to get some napkins to clean them. At that moment, another taller guy with glasses named Jimmy saw me about to open the door, so he came over closed and locked the door. I knocked on the door and asked him to open it. When he did, I told him we wanted to sit outside and get some napkins. He said that we cannot use this door and cannot open it, and that he would bring us utensils. We thanked him, but we thought it was strange that we could eat outside but couldnt go inside. It meant we had to take a long way into the restaurant if we had any need and I dont think we were treated as we should have been. We waited outside for a while, and then Jimmy came over again and told us that there was a table available inside. We said okay and thanked him again. During the 15-20 minutes wait and also that we were eating, there was a lot of noise from a group of high school students at the next table. We noticed that other customers were also looking over at them. We were also bothered by the noise as we seat closer to them. So I politely asked Jimmy if he could ask them to lower their voices a bit. However, Jimmy said that it was their freedom to speak as they wished, and we had no right to interfere. We returned to our seats feeling unhappy about the unreasonable attitude of the server and the noisy neighbors. When the group of girls next to us were leaving, I needed to take an emergency call, so I went outside and closed the door to make the call. At the same time, Jimmy followed me and locked the door right after I closed it. I was so angry that I was shaking and couldnt speak. My partner asked Jimmy why he locked me out and why he had such a bad attitude. He yelled at us and said that he had already told us that the door was not to be opened. We asked why he had to lock it, and he said that other customers would feel cold. But the problem was that I had closed the door immediately after I had opened it, and his attitude towards the noise issue was completely opposite to what he was doing now. As a loyal customer of noodology since 2019, I have ordered from various delivery platforms such as DoorDash, fantuan, and Uber Eats many times, but this was the first time I had encountered such terrible service and dining environment in noodology at Irvine. It makes me question whether noodology provides sufficient training for their staff?

I enjoyed the dry noodles with minced pork. The marinated duck wings were tasty and spicy (my mouth is burning as Im writing this). I also tried my wifes beef noodles and found the beef a bit tough for my liking, but not a big deal. The place is super popular and bustling. Service is pretty fast and efficient, except they got one of our orders wrong and things got confusing for a moment.

Noodology is such a warm and welcoming place to be at. However, their main courses are very unique and include a numbing spice that numbs up your tongue and throat. There are dishes without them, but before entering just be aware of these type of dishes that include spices. In my opinion I disliked the spices because I have an allergy (most dishes include peanuts), and it felt like I was having a reaction even though it was just a mimic of it. The noodles are fresh and you have many different choices to your taste so enjoy as youd like.

I need to exposure, noodology in Irvine rejects the legally protected service dog and discriminates against Chinese people.We Went to noodology for lunch this afternoon, and we brought a service dog with a certificate. The waiter inside didnt let us in, saying we could only eat outside because of the dog.I said that my dog is a service dog, and provided the dogs certificate ID. The Chinese auntie waiter still refused to let us in, and the reason is that she was afraid that foreigners who ate inside would mind. First, they may not know that service dogs are protected by the U.S. Constitution. Secondly, I don’t Understand why I discriminated against by the Chinese people.

I heard this place puts a lot of msg in their soup so I was hesitant but it ended up being pretty good and I did not feel any msg sickness of any kind. I had their intestine noodles in chicken broth ( maybe there is a difference between the chicken and beef broths?). The staff was super nice. Legally speaking, ADA does NOT require service animal owner/ handler to provide any type of certification to business owner in order to prove the legality of the service animals. This is a very unique noodle place. They only serve sticky rice noodles which is rooted in Southern and Western part of China. Rather than representing one region of food, they focus on rice noodles based onregions. It is a very interesting concept and I embrace their idea.

I enjoy their soups alot. I eat here every Saturday. Service is good and quick, food is delicious. The only issue I have is that the location is on the smaller side. Solid choice for a quick meal, an authentic taste of Chinese food court restaurants - Got the red braised intestine noodle, tomato beef noodle, and a cold dish featuring soft tofu topped with dried chilli, peanuts, cilantro and marinated beef pieces cold tofu.The intestines were tender, seasoned nicely, no foul taste/smell. The noodle soups are monotone respectively, just simply, straightforwardly, representing the supposed flavor of red braised and tomato paste - nothing special but definitely work.
