2023-03-19 02:05:02Came back and saw they remodeled!Still plenty of parking in the back.Inside, the layout isn’t open anymore and has a private room. The hostess led me to this room without me asking and I was shocked/pleasantly surprised! My party had only 4 people and yet we were given the nice room (I think cause when we arrived, there weren’t many customers there). The service was great in providing water refills and when we needed to order more food.Their beef rolls are impressive!! They are crispy and super tasty! The soup dumplings are very good and flavorful and the stir fried noodles are delicious too! We ordered the house beef noodle soup but forgot to ask for it without spice, it is pretty spicy!I also loved the decoration inside the private room. Very beautiful! They also have really cool dragon chopstick holders.

2022-08-27 17:08:58August 2022 -Food/Pricing - Peanut w/ Seaweed - $6.99 - Flavorful and nicely seasoned.Xiao Long Bao (Juicy Pork Dumplings) - $10.99 - 8pcs - Wish it came with the usual 10 pcs. Nevertheless, it was very juicy and yummy!Pan Fried Pork Dumplings - $12.99 - I need this to be more crispy! Other than that the taste was good.Stir Fried Sliced Noodle - $15.99 - Fresh and tasty!Spicy Beef Noodle Soup - $13.99 - We did standard round noodles. Absolutely loved the flavor of the entire dish! The soup was perfectly seasoned and spicy enough to be tasty. The beef was tender. Couldnt ask for anything more.Service/Ambiance - The staff were not very attentive. It took some time to get there attention and we were the only party there at the time. They were busy with sorting takeout orders but gotta pay attention to customers who are physically there too.The air conditioning system wasnt cold enough so it felt pretty warm in there while we were eating. I also got bit by a mosquito that was flying around and there was also a fly bugging us the whole time.Parking - Theres a parking lot at the back of the restaurant! Street parking is also an option.

2021-08-08 20:22:09Found this place that serves sesame green onion bread, which was delicious!!! The other dishes were also tasty. Wasnt expecting the pork hock to be deep fried, but it was meaty and the skin was very crunchy. Not cheap; we paid over $70 with tip for the two of us. Chinese food has gotten to be too expensive!!!

2022-11-28 04:13:55Food is pretty good. However the service really sucks. Slow at taking out the food and one of the server was very dismissive. There were two of us, food came out very slowly. I got my food out first, then have to wait 20 minutes for the other food to come out.

2021-08-17 13:47:09My kids recommended this place so I gave it a try. The place was clean and spacious, the food taste fresh. I cant comment too much about their services because there wasnt a lot to be served. I noticed that they do have 2 VIP rooms, and the minimum is reasonable. I like this restaurant and I will come back.

2020-12-07 02:24:09Have been craving for Northern Chinese food today and decided to order take-out from my favorite go to northern Chinese food restaurant.Northern Cafe has all the right stuff to satisfy my craving. They are famous for their hand made noodle varieties. I particularly like their house special fry noodles with mama’s chili sauce and hand cut noodle. Another of my favorite dish is their beef pan cake roll. Unlike pre-pandemic food, Today’s beef tendon was tough and hard to bite on. Normally this dish is full of flavor with tender and tasty marinated beef tendons. The third dish we ordered today was their soy been with pickled veges and bean curb skin. This is a famous shanghai food and this restaurant has done it right.Besides these three dishes mentioned, Northern Cafe has a very comprehensive northern Chinese food menu. I highly recommend their Jiaozi ( dumpling) and pot stickers. I have to said they are the best in the San Gabriel Valley. The sour cabbage fish soup is another dish worthy of trying out.I am sure I will be back for more of their foods. Can’t wait to try other dishes.

2018-08-24 03:49:39This place serves northern type of Chinese cuisine such as onion pancake, dumplings and noodle types of dishes. The food are pretty good especially the dumplings and the handmade noodle. The house stir fry noodle can use a little bit more meat tho. Overall, the food is decent and it is reasonably priced. The service is also very efficient. Recommended.

2020-05-22 20:30:44Craving for some Chinese pies, decided to order from this northern Chinese Cafe. I was going to order online, however, the menu was not complete. In the end, I called. I ordered noodle w/ bean paste (炸酱面), pork pancake, juicy pork dumpling (小笼包), beef roll, and pan fried pork dumpling. Their noodle was amazing, thin and chewy, the meat sauce tasted delicious. The pork pancake was superb, juicy meat w/ thin crust. However, the pan fried dumpling and juicy pork dumpling were not up to par, the skin was too thick, and no meat juice in them, very dry. The beef roll was fine, crust and meat were good. I will definitely get the noodle and pancake again.

2021-10-11 19:08:09Good and reasonable priced food. Carry out is very fast.Update: they remodeled the restaurant and made a few karaoke rooms. Sitting areas are now highly limited and the karaoke guests are very loud & disruptive.
