This place is so good! The packaging is so cute and the portions are just right. When you order a combo pack you get 4 boneless chicken strips, fries, fried rice, and Cole slaw, plus a side of ranch. The sweet and spicy so tasty and the food was very fresh.

Expensive Korean version of Popeyes. I got their combo and its just loaded with dry fried chicken, soggy texture rice, fries and a few ounces of coleslaw. Paid over $17. I felt like spoiling my meal time, waste my money and upset my stomach eithso much fat.Standard customer service.
The food was amazing and genuinely will come back again. The chicken is so crunchy and the sweet and spicy sauce made it so much better. Their Japchae was great as well.

Better than Cains or Chick Fil A.I took a chance on this place, not knowing what they served. When you walk inside, theres a menu with instructions on how to order. I chose the chicken strips bbq, medium portion, and spicy. I also ordered some cream cheese balls. This amount of food was filling and could be shared by two people as a small dinner portion.Lets talk about how the food tastes. The bbq chicken strips are moist, which matched and potentially exceeded Cains and Chick Fil A. The difference is the flavors!!! It tasted so tangy and sweet. The spice level didnt seem hot at first, but it is a slow burn. To compare, I usually order a 7 out of 10 for Thai food and I think their medium spice level matched that. The cream cheese balls were delicious. If you like cream cheese wontons, then youll like these. They are an explosion of cream cheese and pastry in your mouth. Just be careful since they are served very hot. I cut mine in half, to verify the temperature.The layout of the restaurant is small. You can fit a party of four at a couple tables, but there is more room just two people. Dont expect any privacy though, since everyone is seated fairly close together. Music played in the background, which the staff and customers were head bopping too.The service was friendly and inviting. If you look confused theyll offer some suggestions. They will likely recommend mild spice, if its your first time visiting. The food took about five to ten minutes, with one or two other orders in front of mine.This was such a happy and delicious surprise. I cant wait to come back again soon.

Small & cozy place that fills up rather quick. I suggest ordering your food for takeout, as the containers they serve your food in is very to-go friendly. We ordered the chicken strips in soy/garlic & sweet/spicy, regular cheese balls, and coleslaw. Chicken was very good and plentiful (the sweet/spicy was a bit too rich after a few, but delicious), the cheese balls had a nice mochi-like batter and stuffed with cream cheese (get the Cajun cheese balls though to cut the richness), and the slaw was nice and light. Overall, definitely recommend the soy/garlic and I would come back again.
It was pretty bad. Hurt my stomach, they put wayyyy to much sauce and they charged for everything, sauce, sides, and drinks. It was very pricey.
Tried this place for take out and really liked the chicken but felt the meal deal way too carb heavy. Fries, coated chicken, and fried rice - I think I would have preferred picking a single side and having the meal deal be like a dollar cheaper.The chicken was really great quality white meat though and was very juicy so I will be going back for that on its own.
Chicken was really tasty. French fries were a little salty for my taste, but still good. Tteok-bokki was really delicious, and a bigger portion than I expected! We will definitely be going back.

Changed from a 5 to a 2. I’m so sad to write this review as padadak WAS my favorite restaurant in the San Diego area. Recently they have completely changed everything about their menu. The combos are now completely different chicken and have no rice or coleslaw! It’s sooo expensive for the downgrade in taste. The worst part is they completely changed their soy garlic sauce. I used to savor the stuff and put it on everything! It was literally my favorite sauce in chicken history. Now their menu is bigger but their flavors are much worse. I’m so sad. Pls bring back the og sauce :”)

2023-11-30 21:30:50I was a big fan of Padadak Chicken in La Jolla, but was disappointed when it changed to a different restaurant. However, a friend who lives in San Marcos told me that Padadak still exists in San Marcos, so I went there with friends.The man at the front was very kind when I mentioned we came all the way from San Diego craving Padadak chicken. The person who appeared to be the owner told us that the ownership had changed since September and the recipe had been slightly altered. He mentioned that the chicken had been upgraded.My friends and I ordered Soy Garlic wings, Sweet Pepper wings, Soy Garlic Strips, Sweet Pepper Strips, Tteokbokki with Cheese add-on, and Japchae. The wings were mixed in sauce, but the strips came with sauce on the side. When I asked the front staff about it, he explained that many found the strips too salty with sauce on them, so they inevitably changed it.I excitedly tried the new version of wings and strips. The chicken was really crispy on the outside and super moist inside. Especially the Soy Garlic Wings were incredibly delicious, far surpassing the previous recipe. And the Teokbokki and Japchae were exactly the flavors I had been craving.Even though its a bit far from San Diego, Ill definitely stop by when Im in San Marcos again. Highly recommended!!

2022-07-09 08:54:03Was happy to see a Korean fried chicken place while driving to Best Buy. I ordered 6 wings and cheese balls for take out. Wings were crispy, and not dry inside. Sauce wasnt too runny so it was easy to eat without making a mess. I ordered Spicy level for my sauce(out of mild, spicy and Insanity), and it gave a good kick.Cheese balls were SO good! Its like a mochi donut with micro crispy shell and cream cheese inside. Hard to describe it, but its good. Makes a pretty filling dessert. Will be back when Im craving some fried chicken.

2023-11-06 23:13:19I’ve been eying the restaurant for a few weeks and decided we should get it one weekend. We ordered 12 wings (I can’t remember the seasoning unfortunately) and cream cheese balls. I LOVE the cheese balls, it was a mix between sweet and savory. We got that with cajun seasoning and it was really chef’s kiss. The wings were really good too, but I wasn’t able to get full from it. I’m excited to try their corn dogs when they start selling :)

2023-11-15 02:00:24Chicken tenders themselves are still good, but they now charge $1 for extra sauce that used to go on the chicken itself. Sauce is now separate, and they only give you one small container for 6 strips, which is nowhere near enough. The reason I loved their chicken over Chick-Fil-A was because it was smothered in sauce. Won’t be coming back to pay for bland chicken without any sauce.
