Padadak Korean Chicken
595 Grand Ave Suite 105, San Marcos, CA 92078, United States
I had an incredible dining experience at Padadak, the Korean chicken restaurant! The sweet and spicy chicken wings were an absolute delight, perfectly balancing sweet and spicy. The Teokbokki was a flavorful and comforting companion to the wings. What truly sets Padadak apart is the owners warm hospitality. The kindness and attentiveness of the staff added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. The combination of delicious food and outstanding service makes Padadak a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Korean flavors. I cant wait to return!
Manna BBQ

Edit: So disappointed to be editing my review but I’ve had some pretty lame experiences since my original post. The food has stayed stable which is nice they changed a few things here and there but aren’t detrimental to the menu. What’s severely declined is happy servers. The women they have serving are just plain spiteful! There are one MAYBE two that are nice and actually smile at you or are kind but majority of the waitresses here are SO RUDE. We almost got up and left last time we went because how can you enjoy the food when someone is giving you a mad dog if you order food. We’re at a restaurant…. I don’t understand the problem. But trust if you order food from certain waitresses you’ll be met with scowls and rolling eyes as if you’re some kind of absolute inconvenience. Because How could you possibly want food at an all you can eat restaurant?!. If you watch carefully you can also see some painfully obvious discrimination. Like when other Vietnamese or Korean families visit they get very very special treatment. But if you’re not of those descents then get used to being ignored and blown off and given dirty looks. Also regardless of race if you’re a couple you get put on the bottom of the list. Parties take priority here. Family’s with loud children are fawned over and people who are respectful and quiet are ignored. We had a waitress completely blow us off and not come back after we placed our first order. A party of 5 showed up and she wouldn’t even LOOK at us. It was so bizarre. Luckily this opened an opportunity for the one very nice waitress to help us. We’ve been going to this place for years and it never used to be this way. Unfortunately this has continuously ruined our recent experiences and we’re going to have to write off manna as our go to place. Being treated like a burden at a restaurant you’re paying 100 dollars to have one meal is really unacceptable. They won’t be seeing my money anytime soon. Please hire happy workers manna we miss our excellent service you used to provide!Original review: This is continuously my favorite Korean bbq place. Great sides good meat selection but the only down side is when you order the premium menu they only allow you to have one steak. They limit how many portions you can request from the premium menu which to me is kind of lame being an all you can eat place. Also they don’t offer Kobe or wagu. But otherwise great sides great service fresh meat just wish they had a better premium selection.

Firstly, I normally do not go out of my way to give negative reviews. I only do so rarely and if I feel that there is a very good reason for it.I DO want to say that the people there are very friendly. The manager/owner greeted me pleasantly and the waitresses were also very nice. Normally I go to Pan Asia Buffet off of Nordahl drive in front and to the left of Walmart. The food there is exquisite EVERY time! Ironically, the people there are not terribly friendly, but the food is absolutely excellent! However, I was tired after working today, and my bank is in the same parking lot as Panda Garden (Citibank by Del Taco) I didnt feel like going all the way across town to the always dependable Pan Asia Buffet, so I thought that well since I am here, why not... I ordered the very simple honey spicy shrimp with a few added pieces of chicken. Both the shrimp and the chicken were SUPER tough and hard and I could honestly barely chew them.I ate about 1/3 of my dinner and I just could NOT finish it. It was so awful, I didnt really want to take the rest of it home. I politely told the waitress, almost apologetically, that the food was just too tough and I couldnt finish it. Interestingly, NO apologies were given, NO comments, NOTHING... AND, to add insult to injury, even though I left about 2/3 of the food on the table, they still had the nerve to charge me full price WITHOUT ANY APOLOGY, COMMENT, NOTHING! So, I quietly paid the $20 or so for about 5 or 6 pieces of tough, almost inedible chicken and shrimp.I see people go in there, and I guess they have their regulars. I cant imagine WHAT the hell they order, but what I had was truly atrocious AND I really did NOT appreciate that they made absolutely NO effort even to apologize or adjust the price, again, NOTHING! So, I felt that I really had to come here and leave this review.I just simply will NEVER EVER go there again. I will make the drive across town to the Pan Asia Buffet, no matter HOW bloody tired I am, and for about the same price, maybe a few dollars more, I can have an absolutely LOVELY dinner with delicious food and a HUGE variety (I most highly recommend the teriyaki chicken, it is to friggn DIE for! ?)
Two Hands Corn Dog San Marcos
997 W San Marcos Blvd #107, San Marcos, CA 92078, United States
Was very EXCITED to try out this place! My wife had told me she saw this place on a TV show. The one in NYC. So when I saw there sign going home one day I knew I just had to try it out!! Went inside and it was empty except for one customer seated at a table. No one at the counter. Walk up to the counter and after 3min. a young man walks out from the back and takes my orderI ordered the spicy corn dog with the whole mozzarella. 15min later he comes out with it and it looks really good!! I was ready to tear into it!! I take my 1st bite and the sauce they drizzle on it doesnt do it any justice!! Way too sweet! Takes away from the spicy-ness. So next time will definitely ask for NO SAUCE!! Now i thought thatd be the only negative. Sike!! The worst part of this is there was NO DOG underneath ALL that cheese and spicy!!! So not going back!! Had really high hopes for u guys!!
Umami Japanese Restaurant
251 N City Dr #122, San Marcos, CA 92078, United States
I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and was disappointed. While ramen is never low sodium, this broth was mouth puckering salty and didnt not have that rich, simmered for hours, pork bone flavor. The noodles themselves didnt appear to be actual ramen noodles, but just generic Chinese wheat noodles used for chow mein. They added a sweet soy marinated shiitake mushroom which didnt go well, and Napa cabbage, which is a first for me in Ramen. Its as if they took all the stereotypical Asian ingredients conveniently lying around and said hey we can put ramen on the menu! My guess, like most Japanese restaurants in San Diego County, this place is Korean or Chinese run- not that theres anything wrong with that, so as long as they keep Korean or Chinese specific ingredients out of traditional Japanese dishes (and yes, I know that ramen originated from the Chinese dish La-Mian).

Vivi Bubble Tea
740 Nordahl Rd #111, San Marcos, CA 92069, United States
Today was my first time visiting this place and my LAST time !!! I usually don't write reviews but I think people should be advised that if you order an drink and it doesn't taste good or doesn't sit well with your stomach. They will NOT change your drink. I ordered two drinks one for me and one for my friend - the Taro Creme Bruele and she didn't like it. So I went back to ask IF we can get another drink instead. The owner - lady with reddish hair yelled at me and rudely asked why and I explained. She gave me an attitude about it and said what I picked out was my choice !! I said it's okay I was just asking, not a problem other places like ShareTea in Escondido accommodate for you. She was so angry it honestly shocked me how she reacted. As she continued to yell at me in front of other customers, and pointing to her cameras. I placed the drink on the counter and she was trying to get my new order for my friend and while she's taking my order she her eyes had this evil look on her face and kept rolling her eyes and speaking to me in a demeaning way. I said “you know what never mind” and told her “ this is NOT the way you treat customers or do business”. I said “ God bless you” and I walked out. My friend who was in the car and heard the yelling from the owner had no clue i was being treated that way. All I wanted was to see if they offered the option for accommodations and was willing to walk away if it wasn't possible. This is the last penny they'll get from me Period. This defiant behavior is not ACCEPTABLE. Go to ShareTea in Escondido instead!! They have outstanding customer service and drinks. They don't treat customers like this !!Love and peaceGod bless
Its Tabu Sushi
344 S Twin Oaks Valley Rd #147, San Marcos, CA 92078, United States
Our favorite sushi place in San Diego county. The only problem with this place is that theyre too far from home! If they were closer, we would be there a lot more often, for sure. When you go (Yes, you really have to go), be sure to order the beer and sake combo, and order the Asahi beer... A much better flavor than Kirin or Sapporo. We prefer the sake warm, but to each his own.Once your drink order is out of the way, its time to get down to the serious business of enjoying their food!Sometimes we like to hit it at happy hour, and order one of just about everything, but its just as good to hit it with their normal menu, and enjoy the regular prices with the absolutely awesome rolls. Today was kind of special, we hit it at the end of happy hour, So we got a few happy hour treats and then moved on to their usual selection of really great rolls.Yeah, there are other sushi places we visit, mostly because theyre closer to home, but when we have the time, Its Tabu Sushi is always our number one choice.Sorry, no pictures this time, but Im sure Ive uploaded some in the past.
