Panda Express in Apple Valley

This is the closest PE to me, so this is the location I visit most often. Ive been frequenting this location ever since they opened about 20 years ago. We used to only go through the drive thru, but the last couple months, My husband and I will come here to dine in about once a week, or so. All the workers there are incredibly nice. I would rate them 5 stars if I could. The food is kind of hit or miss. One time my husband and I dined there, and on our way out, we ordered a large container of Orange Chicken for our (teenage) kids. The orange chicken we ate at the restaurant was great, but the box we brought home to our kids was actually inedible. I tasted it, and the only way we could describe it was that it tasted like chemicals. They had just made a new batch of orange chicken, so my husband and I ate the old batch at the restaurant, and the new batch is what we took home. Another time I ordered the mushroom chicken and all of the bigger mushrooms were completely raw. So the food is fairly inconsistent. The biggest thing keeping me from rating this restaurant 5 stars is the fact that even though they close at 10pm, the close the bathrooms and half the dining room at 8pm. They also stop cooking many dishes around that time too. I understand that the manager likely does all this to save money, but from a customer perspective, it makes you wonder what else they do to cut corners and save money? My other complaint is that they have amazing sweet tea, that you can get if you order inside, however if you order from the drive thru, they wont walk over and get you the sweet tea, they will only get you whatever drinks they have behind the counter. So now I cant go in the drive thru anymore, cause that tea is too good to pass up. (Though that is inconsistent too, and sometimes its nasty. 🤷‍♀️) The restaurant is usually kept fairly clean. We usually have to wipe down our own table before eating, but thats not a huge deal. I cant comment on the bathrooms cause they always close them soon after we arrive.

2 star review usually no problems at this panda, but today i got food for lunch and half way through my meal i found what I thought was cabbage, which was odd because the honey sesame chicken doesnt have that veggie, it was a piece of cooked plastic, like man out of all the days5 start Immediate update, i talked to some inside, told them what happened, he apologized profusely, he offered me a free meal, i didnt take it because i didnt come for a free meal, I wanted to let them know that it happened today and with what food it came from, we all make mistakes but its how its handled shows how they really cared about something that happened

They charged $1.25 for sizzling shrimp and they put about 3 pieces in there and the rest is in the photo attached. They always forget to put napkins and forks for you to eat with urggg 🥵🥵 they also do trick with serving food they will put more chicken in the bottom and top it off with shrimp.

Welcome back to dine-in yaaaaay! Love the new remodel. The manager, Mr. J, was very accommodating with a warm welcome smile and friendly customer service. Panda is doing an outstanding job out staying fully staffed with quick diversified employees. My fresh order was ready at checkout as usual, but the line chefs kept it flowing.

Stood at the front counter for 5 minutes before being greeted. Still will not hand out sample because of COVID. Had to wait another 10 minutes for chowmain while they handed the rest to the drive thru line. So ridiculous ill be going to another restaurant for Chinese food in the future.

The food was good and the cashier was friendly. My issue was with the amount of food that was provided. I just do not feel like I received the amount that I paid, which seems to be a common complaint.

Have been here several times. Their portions are very small, and they are really stingy with the amount of meat they give. The taste of their food is just average.

Portions are insanely small and when asked them about it they said that’s how we serve. Workers take the mobile/drive thru customers before taking the customers that are trying to order inside of the store. Terrible service.

I love the food & great service. Bring my food to the table since Im using a walker. I do both drive thru & dine in.

What a disappointment. Food was clearly not fresh, and my tray was messy like it got tilted to the side or dropped. No fortune cookie or soy sauce given. Won’t be coming back here.
