Panda Express in Citrus Heights

How did they get plastic bag in the white rice? See pics! Went in today at around 5pm. Place was busy with everyone getting take out. People were angry, felt sorry for the staff but there were like 15 people behind the counter so... Food was bad, order was wrong and to top it off, there was plastic bag in my white steamed rice. Ive been in the F&B industry for over 30 years. I wouldnt be as surprised to see clear plastic in the white rice, but the cut out from a bulk of white plastic to go bags? How did you guys pull this one off? Beef and Broccoli was horrid, they gave me the end of the last meat (obviously) and since they were slammed threw new raw broccoli in at the switch out. If I was expecting raw broccoli that would be fine but thats not what I ordered. The beef was mostly un- chewable with tons of gristle and yes it was overcooked from being the last of the barrel. Worried that the chicken was raw. The steamed rice was good except for the plastic part. Hope I didnt eat some already, seriously! I only caught it because I was so attentive at how bad it all was. This is from a large bulk of commercial plastic bags, so no I did not add this on my own! Oh first off my side of chow main for the kid was some spicy peanut dish. At least my wife got to eat. Never again. I mean, the only way to win at these places is to check everything with a fine tooth comb at the location before leaving and preferably paying.. Lets face it. Its fast junk food posed as healthier food. Just get a steamer, save your money and your heath, eat at home. The kids at the counter were nice.

So tonight I got a bowl with brown rice and orange chicken to go. I was disappointed with how little they put in the bowl! The pictures on Panda Express’s website show them nice and full, and for the price that’s what I expect! (The pic I posted shows the bowl after I ate only two small bites.)

I had a to go order. I felt that the portions were small & the chow main could have had more vegetables in it. I did not think the taste of the chow main needs more taste to it. I tasted the food as soon as I got home & it was blain so I just put it in the refrigerator & let it sit. Hours later I had tasted it again & it all started to get some taste to it. Once again, hours later I took it out to eat and it was a lot better from when I first bought it I originally I was going to throw it out.

We had a gift card or else I would never spend my own money here. Our broccoli was raw it was so hard! Small tiny pieces of beef. Some of my chow mein noodles were so dry no sauce on them. The mushroom chicken wasnt bad and the orange chicken was okay. Overall very mediocre food it used to be way better years ago.

Very tasty and always crowded... does it means popular? Or popular, good, and good prices?There are different opinions... and tastes.Someone mentioned:“Young Chinese descendants said this food is not like home; some old Chinese people said this is gourmet food”What do you think?

The employees were rude and unprofessional!! They were totally out of chow main and rice. It was only 7pm. It was obvious they didn’t want to work!! Had a brunch of their friends in the place laughing and cracking jokes about customers that came in. If I could put -100 on at least Service and Atmosphere I would!! I will NEVER PATRONIZE THIS LOCATION AGAIN!!!Someone needs secret shop this place!!

This location is my go to Panda place. But these last few months, the orange chicken tastes very moldy. I don’t know if they changed something with how they make it but it’s disgusting. Really bummed about it because the orange chicken has always been super good until recently

Bland chow mein. Only broccoli stems that felt like chewing on a tree branch. Orange chicken had zero chicken flavor. Servings seem to be getting smaller. Awful experience.

I love Panda, but this location is poorly run. Every time I go they suffer from slow service, or are severely under staffed. I thought maybe if I ordered online this would help, but no. Got the confirmation the online order would be ready in 30 mins and when I got there 30 mins later it was not. Spent an additional 25 mins waiting in the store. The staff and management are also rude. When I brought up my concerns the employee became combative and the manager simply did not care. If you can avoid this location at all costs.

Only one server... line was 20 people deep... chow mein was like rubber and the orange chicken was way too sweet and crunchy... very rare to have a bad meal from a place thats usually soo consistent...
