Wonderful Chinese Restaurant
7042 Sylvan Rd, Citrus Heights, CA 95610, United States
Food is good here. Their lunch specials are awesome for around$7.50 you get a decent amount of food that comes with soup and hot tea (dine in only). I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for some yummy Chinese food in the Citrus Heights area.
China House Restaurant
7700 Sunrise Blvd #2500, Citrus Heights, CA 95610, United States
In a word HORRIBLE. It was over 3 years ago that i stopped eating at this place after today 7/2/2014 I will never go back. I hope they get out of the restaurant business as what they serve and the filth and dirt in this place makes me want to gag.I order lemon grass chicken from the to go menu. Nothing shows it was a spicy dish and usually that would not matter to me. I like spicy food, but this stuff was so hot that nobody could eat it and the chow mein was brown and tasted burnt.I have eaten better food at the grocery store deli chinese food counters and paid much less too. I took my to go order home before checking the order. It is so true the screw you at the drive through.I cant understand the reviews that say it is good. I can only guess those people have no relevant experience to tell good from bad.
Panda Express
5871 Sunrise Blvd, Citrus Heights, CA 95610, United States
Panda has decent food, for the amount you get and the quality Id rather go to a real Chinese restaurant. To be fair, their food is good for fast food and some dishes are great! I like the kung pao chicken and the teriyaki chicken.

Pearl House

We were in the area during lunch hour on Saturday and wanted a Chinese food. We were seated immediately and the service was pretty quick since the restaurant wasnt too busy.- Chicken with salted fish fried rice: the portion was generous regarding the price. Hubby asked for more salted fish and they did deliver. The rice was fluffy and flavorful. There were plenty of chicken & salted fish pieces.- Sweet & sour chicken: the chicken had crispy coating and it was juicy. The sweet & sour sauce was tossed perfectly to coat each pieces. I wish that they gave more veggie as it was only couple pieces of green pepper & pineapple.Overall, a good & affordable Chinese restaurant.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Citrus Heights hands down! I’ve been coming here for nearly my entire life with family and we are always so happy and satisfied. Everything on the menu is a 10/10 and the order is always correct and hot! I love this place so much. ?
New Shanghai
7952 Auburn Blvd #1435, Citrus Heights, CA 95610, United States
Great food, clean restaurant, relatively cheap prices, the hot tea was so good I didnt order a drink. Fed 4 people + a po po platter appetizer for $70. Will definetly return. They offer sesame beef which I have not seen at other Chinese restaurants. Wonton soup was great. General Tsos is the chefs special I believe & it was amazing & came with generous portions of the main course & the sides. Definitely deserves 5*s

I’ve tried pretty much every Chinese restaurant in Citrus Heights and this is by far the best Chinese in the area. The chow mein has that wok smoky flavor with crunchy sprouts and just the right chewy noodles. The salt and pepper shrimp is so crispy and seasoned perfectly. The soups are all good esp the sizzling rice soup which has that deep savory Chinese chicken broth. The Hong Kong thin noodles has that gooey sauce that meshes so well with the crispy noodles and bokchoy. The white sauce they use in the dishes is that classic Chinese American sauce. All in all it’s the perfect Chinese American place that you remember. Oh and the staff is amazing and it’s a semi-open kitchen so you hear all the clanging of the woks and the sizzle which just adds to the atmosphere without being intrusive.
Hibachi Buffet, Sushi & Grill
5623 Sunrise Blvd, Citrus Heights, CA 95610, United States
Truthfully I am a bit of a Chinese food snob. I don not expect much when I see Chinese buffet, I think of a garbage meal. Hibachi Buffet exceeded all of my expectations and the lunch price was shockingly low only $14.50 and one dollar less for senior discount. Many of the dishes were things I had only had in San Francisco Dim Sum restaurants. I highly recommend this place. Come check it out for yourself.
Extreme Hummus
7820 Zenith Dr, Citrus Heights, CA 95621, United States
We tried to dine in here during Covid times and they were not available, so tried my luck again and dined in for lunch. Ever since we moved to Sacramento from Bay Area- we missed the dish n dash restaurant which was a nice place for falafel. Extreme Hummus seems to focus on variety of hummus and the rest of it stays pretty standard. I tried the Veggie plate that gets served with some falafel balls, dolmas, very little salad, steamed rice, a half piece of pita. You get to choose your hummus - I chose sriracha and cilantro flavor and it was good. Falafel was alright, I ate better ones than this one. Rice was almost like the sticky Chinese rice and not the typical pilaf rice at Mediterranean places. This place is pricey for what it offers - but not a bad place to try.
