The food is almost always delicious!Stopped dining inside years ago, not sure why maybe the unique parking design is a factor - the row of businesses gives off a quick stop feel at this location.

I went through the drive-thur yesterday. I was coming back from Fresno. I wish I had stop at my favorite Panera in Fresno, but I went to the one in Merced. They didnt ask me for my phone number so I could get points. My mistake was I didnt get my receipt, so I couldnt log in to get my points. Then I get home and they left out the pastry I ordered. This is an ongoing problem for this store. I have left several other reviews similar to this, but there is no change. This store needs new management.

This my first time being at panera. Atmosphere looked nice. The cashier named felix was pretty nice. I ordered a chicken melt with potato chips they were pretty good. 10/10 would recommend

This store needs better management. They are unprofessional, they lack proper communication skills needed for customer service and food service, they lack respect for their employees. They dont inform employees about scheduling changes and they are petty when it comes to scheduling emplpyees who live near. Do better panera. 1/10 work environment.

We actually go here so my kids can get their homework done and get a bite to eat at the same time. Its a very relaxing environment.We love their tomato soup and baguettes.My only complaint is sometimes they have a homeless guy in there with his 2 big dogs. The dogs are very well behaved and the doesnt create any issues at all. But I can see how it would scare people away.

We had not been to Panera since we left the Midwest a few years ago. We finally had the opportunity but we were some what disappointed. The service was very friendly as always. The tuna salad used to have chunks of real tuna! What was served to us was more like a tuna spread and not much of it at that. The salad was horrible. I hope this was a one off kind of day.

Who owns this Panera? Who is the regional manager?….this Panera was a nice clean place to eat. The last 5 years its getting worse. The house cleaning is not maintained. It looks ran down. And too often out of basic Panera. You can drive to the Turlock location its represents what Panera wants to amplify. So its not a corporate problem but a local one. Please work on fixing the issue. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I have never been through a drive through that over charged me for my half pick 2 sandwich the menu says something different than what they actually charge you when you pay. I brought that to there attention and all they said was the “menu was wrong”! I told them to just give me back my 20 bill and they only gave me back the price of the item I got. They literally tried scamming me.. pretty slick there but not so smart! They need to get it together I told the manager and she just said ok we will have a nice day SMH!!! I hope they get fired!!!

I personally really love Panera, but I have never had such a horrible experience at any store or business in my whole life. I was waiting to dine in with my service dog and the manager kicks us out. She assumed my dog was an ESA, but I kept telling her she was a service dog. My dog was also wearing her service dog harness, but the manger said you can buy that anywhere now. She accused me of having a fake service dog and kicked us out. This manger said only visible disability service dogs are allowed in the store. I left with my service dog to avoid conflict. This manger discriminated me based on my disability and would listen to me, even though I told her multiple times my dog was a service animal. During this whole time, my dog was laying down behind my chair not making a sound.

They are usually good here but sometimes forget things. Ordered two sandwiches and usually I never do this but forgot to order a coffee so I ordered a cold brew at the window. I felt bad so tipped 5 and then discovered my sandwich was completely laying in the bag out of the wrapping. I was going to attempt to eat it but was gross out and asked if they could make another one. They sat us and made us wait a while, so husband had to go inside and pick it up.

Panera bread is awesome and I love the green goddess cob. Customer service is always great. Unfortunately one of the staff was on lunch and had an open wound, fresh tattoo, and was constantly at the food counter putting her arms up, the fresh tattoo was on her arm just above the side of her elbow, where the food is served. We only knew it was a fresh tattoo cuz she was loud and telling other coworkers. 🤢

I’m on a spiritual Daniel Fast that in different terms is a vegan diet with no added sugar. I was excited to hear that Panera serves vegan dishes. Tonight I went to get now my favorite sandwich on bread that I’m able to eat. When going to grab my food the employee stated they didn’t have the bread I asked for and that he randomly selected a bread. Not knowing the breads I was able to eat, I simply said okay I’ll figure it out and walked out of the building. While walking out the team leader approached the employee, asked about the situation, and didn’t say a word to me. I got into my truck and pulled up the list of foods I’m able to eat from Panera to only find out I’m not able to eat the bread the man selected. Now the employee should’ve asked me if there was a different bread I’d like because now I’m stuck with a sandwich I can’t eat and I have to find something else for dinner. Very upsetting and I’ll most likely not be coming back.

The food is really good and love that they use all natural ingredients. However, the quantity is quite poor compared to how much it costs. My order has been messed up on many accounts, and the staff is usually not very nice or considerate when it comes to correcting the order. Many times unprofessional attitude and comments have been made by some employees .

First of all they have a drive through. Very convenient and practical for such a place. My wife and I ordered the chicken avocado and it was amazing with some smoothies. We will go back and enjoy more with time. The only thing however is that our two sandwiches, chips and two smoothies were sort of pricey but aside from price, quality is definitely worth a visit.

I rarely come here because it always looks busy bit I ended up downloading the app because a friend told me about their rapid pick up. Well I ended up getting a reward for the month that consists of a free daily bagel. So I ordered my bagel with a tub of cream cheese and about 10 minutes I was there to pick up my order and it wasnt on the shelf so I waited about 7 more minutes while there were people standing around before I had to ask someone about my order. When the lady goes around the corner and pulls my receipt she apologizes and mentions how it just printed out for some reason. She gives me my bagel and cream cheese and of course I walk out and realize its not a tub like I originally ordered, its an individual. I go back and tell her, she apologizes and trades the individual for the tub and Im on my way... the next day I ordered a little earlier and showed up after about 15 minutes. This time I only had a bagel, I walk in and once again its not on the pick up shelf. So I wait because this time there were actually a few people ahead of me waiting. About 5 minutes goes by and I get my bagel and leave. I took a little break from going because at this point in wondering what is the point of ordering rapid when there is nothing rapid about it.

Homemade soups, gourmet bagels, signature breads, a variety of cheeses, just to make a few selections. The Service is kind of like Starbucks, you can tailor fit any order with any instructions you desire. They have a few proprietary drinks, theyre healthy, but not that tasty.

The staff members are friendly, helpful and overall doing a great job🤩. The salads are fresh, tasty and well proportioned. This is a recommended spot for health and taste as a vegetarian. I order the salad with extra quinoa for protein at least twice a week as a post workout meal. Two thumbs up!🤘🤖👍

My husband and I are both self employed and dont have much time to wait for restaurant service. We love that we can place and order on line and just pick it up on the Ready stand without waiting in line. The sandwiches are inventive and yummy, salads are great and the soups are all delicious. The breads are really good too, especially the baguettes. Its fast and convenient but not FAST FOOD.

Panera excelled 3-4 years ago. January 2022 Panera seems to be going downhill. Four times restaurant closed early; three times order was wrong with stale sides (chips hard as rocks, chicken limited and full of gristle, and bread like a brick). Recommend any other restaurant, pseudo-healthy or not. Sad to see decline in product and service.

Im only giving this Panera Bread in Merced five stars, because I like Panera Bread.The only drawback to the Panera Bread in Merced is that it is too tiny. I have been to a number of them that were much larger, and carried much more of everything, and werent always running out of products.They should have used the entire building instead of only part of it, and even then it would have been just barely large enough to accomodate so many customers.When Yosemite Park traffic ramps up again, and it will in a very big way, they will have to turn customers away who dont have all day to wait for a seat or a parking space, or be frustrated after waiting only to find what they want already sold out.

I agree with the reviewer about the mildewy soda machine taste, thought it may just be the water there. So I tried the hot water for tea which I prefer (sans tea,) someone put coffee in it so the clerk brought me some from back. Tried to get more before leaving, it was light brown with grounds coming out- might I suggest a bleaching.... Entire staff is very polite, though some are obviously lacking some care, concern, and/or training. Food is on par with others cross country, we frequent Panera often.

Good salad options, they were super fresh and good quality dressings and veggies. Bread made there is pretty good for the sandwich. The sandwich itself was somewhat lackluster. Fresh veggies but the amount of filling (chicken salad) was so measured and limited that the sandwich was actually dry. The pecan sticky bun (basically an inverted cinnamon roll baked on a layer of pecans) was also a little dry.

Im really disappointed because this is the second time this Panera Bread has made my order wrong. I did an online order to save the time, and I swear you would have thought nobody knew how to read. I customized my sandwich so I could have sourdough bread, and I received the bread that the sandwich originally comes with (thats not what I asked for). I live far from Panera and I am upset that nobody double checked the order. My suggestion would be to double check your order since nobody seems to care enough to their job. I will be sure to not waste my time at this Panera because the staff cannot double check the order.

They don’t have a designated parking spot for curbside pick up. I’ve ordered online twice & both times I’d had to go get my order. The 1st time I parked in the wrong side. So today I parked where the barista told me I should park for any future orders. Apparently that isn’t the right parking spot either. They also don’t pick up the phone when they’re busy.

Better alternative than other quick bites to eat. Prices are more affordable than Starbucks, bad example, but of like kind clientele. Good quality food, decent drink selection of coffee and tea (choose the bag and hot water); its self service drink bar, so you can only blame yourself when it comes out wrong. I normally dont go Panera because its slightly expensive. However, every time I visited Panera (merced) I have had the best customer service. Despite long lines I receive my FRESH food within minutes. The cashier is always friendly and helpful despite me and my wife being picky eaters. The cashiers takes the time to help me pick a flavorful item, by recomending items and ensuring I get a good deal. It is always a pleasure to come to Panera.Thank you guys for being so great. Panera is one of my favorites of all! But, this one just didnt fit the nice category of others! We were there to eat so asking to wear a mask was ridiculous!! There are no stations for supplies like before or other places. Napkins, etc. Anything you need you would have to go back and find some one to get it for you. If it is the safety an issue here, then there are other ways to provide a safe and clean while at the same time convenient. Will not go back there again!

They have messed up my order here every single time. I can’t even count the amount of times they have forgotten something. One time I didn’t even realize they forgot my dressing until I got home and I live in Atwater so I had to drive back to Panera, ask for the dressing they forgot only to get a dressing that wasn’t even for my salad. Lately the drive through is slow, not normal slow, sloooooooow, 2 cars behind me left slow, their machines are broken, and lately I order on the drive through and when you pay you are missing stuff, if you asked for 2 soups and they give you 1 you tell them they fulfill the orden then forget the butter and stuff for the 2nd soup, they forgot my drink in another order, I dunno man, it was great before is been getting bad, the fact that one person takes the order and another one charges you, I think that is why they miss stuff on orders
