So disappointing. I pay plenty of money for I thought was good food. I am done with this place. I ordered double meat and I did not receive. I also ordered the cookies (12 mini) hard as a rock. Never again.

Super fun summer salad! Very tasty. A bit too sweet for me, but still nice and refreshing! Cashier was super sweet. May save some time by ordering ahead. Seemed to be a bit of a wait. Other than that, delicious food and clean atmosphere!

$50 for 2 orders of a few tablespoons of soup and the tiniest salad and 2 drinks?🥴The sandwich was decent, but what a disappointment overall. I’ll cook my own next time and enjoy left overs or go to Cheesecake Factory and get left overs for days.😬Sad bc I like their food but just not worth the amount you get. I love Panera!This location is hit and miss, but I think the food is usually good. Sometimes my veggie sandwich will have 1 pieces lettuce and onions(wrong order maybe? ), sometimes its complete. Sometimes the food is incredible, and sometimes I have to spit it out. But its more bad than good, for me.

I got the impression that the employees do not care whether or not anyone orders food. I dont blame them, but It felt like the workers werent interested in taking orders. We waited a long time and were ignored by passing workers. Very unprofessional. Some busser noticed a line of us forming and stepped up to take orders.

Dont ever go to this restaurant. They give very slim portions on their salads. They never have the appropriate size cups for drinks. This has happened multiple times at this restaurant, especially on pick up orders. When I called to get it fixed they would only fix it if I drove back to the restaurant. They also said, this was there normal portions sizes. Essentially, its a half salad. It only filled the to-go container halfway. The first time it happened a few months ago I opened a complaint online. I even attached a picture. They never responded. Save you money.... its not worth it.

Food was OK. Service was so so. Not much interaction. I was standing by the counter looking at the menu because I rarely go into Panera and no one took the time to ask if had any questions or anything. There was only one guest in front of me but they finished quickly with him. I just stood there and eventually went to the kiosk to order. Could do much better with customer service.

I put a 2 star because I work down the street from this location and I have always ordered online and out of maybe the 8x I have ordered online, 6-7x my order has been wrong. Where as items were missing or items were not added. Out of all those mistakes I only recieve apologies, and only once did they comp a meal for the next time I ordered. But this time I requested no olives in my greek salad, there were olives. I requested chips with my soup and salad, there were no chips. I ordered grilled cheese with a roll, there was no roll. I took pictures showing what was missing and what was not removed from the order as requested. Well today,, because I had to go back after sitting down only to find missing items and having to go back to get those items, I only had 7m to eat my lunch on my lunch break. I wrote this review in hopes someone from there (Panera Bread-Grossmont) actually listens and that employees are mindful that all orders online are correct. I keep asking for that request and still results are the same. Here a pictures of my order that is missing and not removing olives.

These were $10 whole sandwiches from Panera Bread that we ordered today. Mine was missing most of the meat and toppings. Overpriced, poorly made, and disappointing. Ill stick to Jersey Mikes down the road in the future. I strongly recommend avoiding this place.

2 Soups and 2 half sandwiches 40.00 dollars ridiculous.The cream of chicken soup broke,it turned to water and my steak sandwich with white cheddar cheese was lacking in meat, cheese, and bread .Got my money back for the steak sandwich .10.49.from the manager .They were out of diet Pepsi so I ordered ice tea.I asked for a wedge of lemon They said, there were no lemons cut, I said, bring me a lemon and I will have my hubby cut it with his pocket knife.I got some cut lemons .I only wanted a couple wedges .My hubby was so mad, he called it a rip off .He felt like someone stole from us .What a poor looking sandwich .His sandwich was made with cheap turkey role sandwich meat and very little avocado 🥑.Some of my bread is in photo that was served with my onion soup, too.The cook said he used their portion method.God bless us all !

First time ordering from the Panera Bread App and I am extremely disappointed. Ordered a dozen bagels with a cream cheese tub for delivery and they forgot to pack the cream cheese. Of course they offered a refund but would have been great if they offered free delivery for the cream cheese. Now I have bagels for my staff and will have to go buy cream cheese elsewhere. It’s so easy to make sure orders are correct before going out but their online score says a lot about their business.2 weeks later and still no refund!!! This place has a serious ethical issue!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!! Thieves!!!

One of the best experiences Ive ever had with customer service in a restaurant!! Ben, the team manager, was absolutely amazing! Such an absolute professional while still being one of the most personable people Ive ever met! Incredible! Not to mention Kreighton (I had to stop and ask how to spell his name) was amazing! He executed my order to perfection, and even though his only job is to make delicious food, he took extra time and effort to make me feel welcome, to give me good customer service, and went above and beyond to be completely sure I was a happy customer who had everything I needed! Everyone I saw went above and beyond to be sure I had an amazing experience!Oh, and did I mention I came in less than 30 minutes before closing?! And they still made my ENTIRE DAY better?!I havent been to Panera in probably a year and this experience makes me want to be a regular here! Stale coffee at 10am Im so disappointed. I had left the area when I found out I had stale coffee water. It tasted like they ran water thru to clean and never got around to finishing it up. Horrible. They want you to buy a coffee suscription. Go to 7eleven. This has happened at several of their establishments they do not have good coffee. Horrible describes it. The bread wasnt toasted as per request, the tuna was like 2oz and all but nonexistent on the other half of the sandwich. The portion consistency is just all over the place. My wife got a bowl of brocolli cheddar and it was full, my daughter same thing, about a 1/4 less. My wifes sandwich was huge and delicious, mine was tiny and poorly made. They corrected the order as now in my older age and prices being what they are, I wont tolerate subpar service.

One of the males at the delivery counter was very rude. He was white, 5’7ish, and had an attitude when I asked if a spoon was in the bag. This is not the first time the delivery counter has had a weird or incompetent staff member. Be prepared. I will be following up personally with management.

Excellent customer service. Mozerella pepperoni grilled sandwich is really good, so cheesy! Citrus asian salad was flavorful and brocoli cheese soup was very creamy. I recommend Strawberry mint lemoade too.Found a nice cozy corner to catch up with my friend.- much quieter than a full resturant.

The girls who were making the order started to laugh at her. The order that was supposed to be ready at 11:30 was ready at 12pm. Called to complain about racism and the manager (Bobbi) was a joke too so not surprised the employees are bunch of uneducated people with 0 manners. Will never come back to this location and would never recommend it to anyone. Expensive food? Havent been to Panera in a couple years and now wont bother in the future. Had the Spicy Take and a Green Goddess salad. They were tasteless. The ST wasnt spicy at all, just chicken with bland reddish slime between bread. The GG had wilted greens and a tasteless green dressing. Heck the dressing and sauce were pretty much the same, other than different colors. Meal was very expensive. Guess the chips are of some novelty value, 1 ounce of miniature chips and crumbs. How small does a chip need to be before it isnt a chip? Very disappointing!

I am giving this place 3 stars because been though it is definitely comfortable and the food is good, A half sandwich at this location is between $8 and $9 plus tax. I can go up the road to Submarina and get an 8 inch sub for the same price.The people are nice and the bread and bagels there are better than most places, but you pay a little more here basically! The coffee club is good if you like coffee, but their iced coffee is pretty weak and their cold brew gives me a stomach ache. I recommend the hot coffee or the tea this location instead, or an espresso drink, which is not included. The iced teas are very good though! Especially the green one!

The food at Panera is always good, no question. The prices, however, have gotten absurd. Soup and a half veggie sandwich for $14 AND you now have to do everything yourself, meaning order on a super confusing screen, get your food at the counter, find your own utensils and condiments, and then sit on torn, junky booth seats. We placed a rapid pick up order and when my husband arrived it was gone. Apparently someone took the wrong order. But we were told that they didn’t have our order at all and we had to show proof of our confirmation. After waiting another 30 minutes they finally got our order remade. Then they forgot pumpkin seeds for the soup and a sandwich that was part of a pick two. Our order was stated ready at 6:25. It’s now 7:39 and my husband still isn’t home with our order. Not their fault someone else took our order but the time it took to remake it and then to have the order missing items after waiting that long is ridiculous. We are both former managers (one of a GM) of this very Panera franchise and I am appalled at the quality of service at this location. Mistakes happen and we get that. But these kinds of mess ups need to be taken in an orderly and quality assured fashion. We avoid the Fletcher drive thru location because they ALWAYS forget something. So we thought to try Grossmont tonight. Regret it so much.

Just hope they dont mess up your order. I ordered online with curbside pickup and when I got home my food was not in the bag. Everybody elses food was there. I called and they told me that I could come back and get it or they could give me credit for a future order. I had not been to Panera in over a year, I did not want credit, I wanted a refund. Their policy is that I could only get a refund if I go into the restaurant. They messed up and expect me to fix it?!?! I already went there once, Im not going back. I asked them to deliver my pizza then, they said they were too busy and didnt have any available drivers. They obviously do not care about their customers. They took zero responsibility for their error. All I wanted was a refund for items not received, I dont think that is unreasonable.

They showed an incredible kindness to me when I placed my order today and realized I forgot my wallet. As I apologized and began to explain that I would just leave, they compd the order and told me to have a seat and enjoy my meal. It was such an unexpected act of kindness, I just needed to put the word out there for others to see! Remarkable behavior in a time when kindness is a rarity these days. When i called -i was told sorry-i will look into this... when i asked what about the guy who did not get meal- i was told nothing can be done to correct. Ive only been here in the late evening usually between 3-6 and there are plenty of seats to choose from, rarely a line.If Ive been sitting for a while the table busser may ask to take away my unwanted plates. Our group has been coming to Paneras at Grossmont center on Sunday mornings for a few years. This week is the last time we will be there. The quality of service has gone down hill. A couple of weeks ago, it took 30 minutes to get our food after checking on it twice. I complained to the manager who delivered the food, and he said, I just got here, so I dont know whats going on. Not even an apology. Today it took about 20 minutes to get bagels,after I saw them sitting on the counter, with an employee doing paperwork at the counter and ignoring the food piled up. When she brought them, they were cold, so she had to have them reheated. We had to have someone clean our table,before we could use it. This was indoors. We like to sit outside, but the tables there are usually dirty, and have bird poop on them, and the chairs. This is a very poorly managed food establishment, and we will not be returning.

Where do I start. My lady and I went for dinner and placed the order. The register girl repeated the order correctly. I was never given a receipt for the food. When the order was ready I was missing a whole sandwhich. When I asked about it they said its not on the receipt. I never received one to begin with. To top it off I asked the register girl about the problem. She argued with me and charged me again. Tables were filthy, bathrooms were disgusting. Never again will I spen my hard earned doller with this establishment. Very unhappy about the whole thing. Stay away from this location.

I bring my 2 year old here a lot and he loves their macaroni and cheese. Their healthy bowls are really tasty. They have tables outside in the shade by a fountain which my son loves. Self ordering kiosks make the line shorter and their table trackers enable a seamless process of them finding your table to bring your food. Friendly staff too.

The space is bright and airy, clean, and very modern. Service is quick, the staff is helpful, and the trademark bread is incredible as ever! Panera USED to be one of my favorite places to eat until the experience I had on April 18th at the Grossmont Center location. I ordered their Southwest Chile Lime Ranch Salad with Chicken (half salad & half sandwich). As i was eating the salad I thought the chicken looked a little funny so i was putting it aside and eating everything else in the salad. When i was halfway done I noticed a piece of chicken was completely pink. When I cut through the chicken it was not cooked at all. I proceeded to look at all the other chicken i had set aside and it was very pink as well. I took it back and they asked if id like another one???? heck no! then they asked if I wanted something else...no thanks, just dont want other people to get sick, so I wanted to inform you. The manager then gave me a refund, and once i left, I realized she had only given me a refund for the salad part and not the complete meal. Are you kidding me? I could have gotten so sick, not to mention my 9 month old son who is still nursing. I am so disgusted with their food and service. They didnt even apologize. So I left there hungry and worried I was going to get very sick.

I havr been to a couple of different Panera Bread locations across the state. I travel for work and live in La Mesa so I decided to finally try the local Panera in my hood (so to speak) Maybe I had high expectations but I have never had a more terrible sandwhich then what I had tonight and the store was a complete disaster. It wasnt busy maybe 10 other people in the restaurant. There were dirty dishes everywhere. Split beverages on seat cushions. It was disgusting but I stuck it out and decided to order. Perhaps someone called in sick. I had my family with me and it took a while for us to order. This process is usually quick and efficient but the guy helping us was making it way too complicated and so it went. We searched for a clean booth to accommodate everyone and never found one. Despite several employees wandering around I ended up cleaning the table myself. It took 25 minutes to get our food. Yes I timed it because at this point I knew the experience overall was not going to be a good one.Our food was delivered by a disheveled angry white guy who looked like he truly hated his job. He plopped everything down in less then 10 seconds all the while asking us if everything is alright with our meal before we have even seen it. Then by the time we figure out whos is whos he is gone and never bothers to return to us to ask if there was anything we needed. Mind you this entire time I think a total of 12 people came into the restaurant and all the dirty tables around us remained as they were. Dirty.The food was absolutely terrible. The portions were small and the preparation was sloppy and inconsistent. Some of us got mayo others didnt despite ordering the same sandwich. They were out of most of their breads despite it being 6 PM. They didnt have sprouts. My turkey looked like the canned chicken or turkey you use for salads. My guacamole was brown. It was just bad and stayed that way. We cleared our own table and left without ever seeing or engaging with an employee. Oh but the blood orange lemonade was off the hook.

My son is going through childhood cancer and one of his favorite things to eat is the bacon turkey bravo and broccoli cheddar soup from Panera. Sadly the grossmont location is the closest one to our house. I have been there many times and have learned that I need to express that my son has a comprised immune system to have his food prepared as clean as possible. In the past they have thrown his bread directly on the dirty counter because I had to send it back. I have heard the employees making joking comments about the extra clean comment on receipt as I sat and waited to take food to go. The worst customer service I have ever received at a Panera Ive been to paneras on the East coast West coast all up and down California and today I went with my cousin who just got married to this location and we place an order one for a steak sandwich and the other for chicken sandwich and other items as well and when my cousin opened her sandwich there were three shavings of steak and so when she went to the front to ask why this is so and if they could just add more she was told that it is more expensive so they will charge more to add more steak but there wasnt much to begin with in the first place there was more bread than steak.and so she did not want to pay the extra money for something that should have been there in the first place. Dont understand why there is an extra pair of hands handling the food orders at the counter and messing them. Just let the people that bag the food give it to customers. Dont need another person handing the bags. And most importantly, handing them to the wrong person.

I give the whole Panera bread five stars except for one manager Andrea, I come to Panera bread pretty often and every time I come I always notice a lot of employees avoid her because shes rude an lazy, I asked for another cookie because mine fell on the floor an she says no I have to pay itfor an then another manger brought me one over to my table and Andera tried to start a confrontation, today was the worst as I had just been served my food, I see Andera yelling at another employee for absolutely nothing the boy was already off work I assume because he wasnt wearing an apron anymore an he was telling Andera he was going to miss his ride she continued to yell I just stoped eating my food an me an my children left I I come there to eat for a nice friendly environment, not to see a short fat lady yell at people.... Please change her location or I will have to change mine and my children Im pretty sure a lot of other people will start to do the same

This place was very dirty for 1 then on top of that my food was not made frishly my soup was cold and has very bad customer service . I had talked to a manager and she took my food from me and add more soup to my bowl with the cold soup and did nothing and said here WOW thats all I have to say will never eat here again !
