The worst place probably ever. You will not enjoy the poor service here and equally poor food here. It isnt like this in other Panera breads in like more classy places to live. But since you have mostly morons who are in food in Simi valley because Simi is just a slow place, no motivation, no actual anything, theyre a dim people. Mostly. They just hire whoever they can get here. Remodeling has not actually improved anything at all here and there will never be anything about this Panera that will be good. There was a delicious breakfast sandwich at Panera but in another city and it was so tasty and here in Simi you actually receive something that is somehow changed into a gross sandwich ! (Why couldnt it taste good? Why do you guys fail? The worker that made the sandwich looked and most definitely was just someone who was lazy and you just hired who had a 2.0 gpa in high school) Somehow because they just dont have any care in how they put it all together. Honestly this place is gross feeling too. I swear to God Simi Valley is sorry and the people are so moronic and dim that they dont know anything else. And also they not only suck here at literally everything but I have to add that their actual drinks they made me that I payed over $7 for they just failed at and it just is so poor here that its truly an act of disrespect that the menu prices are the standard Panera prices when it is poor in every way. Close this place down. Im pretty sure theyve also had to fire some of their managers for sexual harassment too. You know the more I think about it the more I realize that this place is cursed and cannot possibly be a success. They just havent got the wealth or privilege in this area to pull off what Panera Bread is really about.

My wife and I met up here yesterday because we were next door at the Tmobile store. She wanted soup since it was cold, so I suggested that we can go next door to see what Panera Beard has to offer. This store is in a plaza with a lot of parking spots since there are other stores here as well. When we walked in, they had just about 3 other guest inside and my wife looked at their menu. She decided to get their chicken noodle soup to go. The soup itself was pretty pricey so she was hoping it would be decent. She was highly disappointed when she got home because they didnt fill up the soup to the top of the cup along with not getting a lot of noodles and you pay a high price for such so little food. She was not happy to the point that I think this is the last time she would ever want to try another Panera Beard store again. Inside of the place is okay, its organized and cleaned but I just think its outdated.Service: 5 star, no issues with the workers because they are nice.Atmosphere: 3.5 star, the place is okay buy just seem very outdated to meFood: 2 star, the value of the food and the price for it was just not worth it based on our experience.Parking: 5 star, you wont have any issues finding parking here.

The food was tasty. Employees were very nice, although the food took quite a while to make. One thing I did find quite annoying is they do not have any sugar free options for their coffees. My husband is diabetic and would have loved to get the vanilla cold brew but was unable. Since Panera is so health conscious Im surprised there are no sugar free options.

Not only did they make me wait 20 mins for my order, they gave me a sandwich instead of a salad. Then when I went back and asked for the salad, it was an itty bitty plain salad for over $8 and I asked for chicken and they didn’t even put it on there.

Its always clean staff is always friendly. Peaceful atmosphere. Good broccoli cheddar soup, good bagels, good bakery treats. Lots of drink options. Just stay away from the flatbread pizzas because to my daughter and I the sauce tastes weird and a bit spicy and the pepperoni has a kick and weird flavor too. Hard to mess up pizza but they do, we tossed it.

This place is disgusting. I just spent $45 on two meals just for both of them to taste like expired milk. The mayonnaise was 100% spoiled and the meat was severely undercooked. The soups were cold like they were microwaved for a few seconds and the sandwiches were sour with no reason to be sour. Waste of money

As a regular customer at Panera Bread, I must say that I am disappointed to find out that they dont have a self-order screen. Every time I visit, I have to wait at least 5 minutes to place my order, and its either due to the staffs inefficiency or, they are short staffed. As a customer, its not only frustrating but also time-consuming. Hope the management will look into this matter and take appropriate action.

The service here is so great, and the girl who was working here was really helpful and friendly. I have the coffee pass, so I go to a lot of different Paneras, all over, and this place had some of the nicest employees. The food was good, per usual, and everything was pretty clean.

Im not sure whats happening here. But this Panera is going down hill quickly. The food is Panera food... but this place is poorly run and its looking very run down. Its pretty disappointing. Im sure Covid didnt help....Panera is always a steady choice you usually get the same food no matter where you stop.Service is what sets them apart and the cleanliness of the facility. This was only my second trip to Panera bread.Little too much hype on the quality of food although it was very good and it was nice seeing a change of menu from the typical food place.The bathrooms are clean and youre greeted with a friendly smile when you step up to place your order.I do love the spacious seating arrangements. Horrible online ordering experience! After you select your food, it gives the option to add a drink but it doesnt let you choose. The only option given to me was Dr. Pepper and even though it wouldnt have been my first choice, I was ok with it. Then it turns out it wasnt available! There was no way to edit or change it. Panera heavily pitches $1 delivery but then it adds another $2 supplement delivery fee so $3 total. Ok I get it, introductory rate to get you in the door but the nickel and dime fee that really made me mad was the convenience fee that paid for tech upkeep and innovation. For this trash online experience where you cant even order a drink or use your Sip Club option? Maybe its time for me to cancel my subscription. After all, I went hungry at lunch today hoping to order from Panera.

Things are getting really ridiculous, hence the review. Didn’t bother to write a review these past few months, no matter what the issues were as I understand everyone is short staffed. But today in the pickup order when they put an empty chips bag (our order has 3 chips bags, they placed 2 full bags & 1 opened & empty bag - really grossed us out), thought it was time to write the review. As usual, the food is so so (we don’t even have any expectations anymore, so am not even going to complain about that) & very minimal quantity of ingredients in the sandwiches. Yes, our bag had the proper seal/tape closure + there was no delay in picking up our order.

I have always had positive experiences here. However, if you ever order for an important business meeting I recommend calling ahead and making sure they have everything you ordered. For me, they were out of the cookies I added to the large order and the entire thing was canceled leaving me to run out of the meeting and to the restaurant to place a new order.

This location is understaffed. Long line around 12:30 on a weekday. Had to wait 30 minutes to get our Sandwich and Soup. The sandwich and Baguette were served cold. It was supposed to be hot sandwich. It was more of a bread and less of chicken and Avocado. Soups were served in paper cups. No salt or Pepper offered. I would not go to this place again.

I am almost convinced that see me has the worst Panera store. Every time I order and arrange for my food to be brought to my car, I wait but it never gets brought to me. I always have to go in! This time my order was quite large. They could not have my order ready in the 45 minutes that I wanted in. Instead they gave me a time of 1 hour. I accepted that time and ran a few errands then arrived at Panera. I push the buttons saying I was there and waited for about 10 minutes. Finally I sent my husband in to check on the order. They had not even started it. We waited 45 minutes past the time we originally wanted it. Although they offered a delicious cookie for our trouble, that does not makeup for that time delay.

I rarely ever write reviews and I only try to write nice ones but I am writing this one in hope that this location gets some help. I get Panera almost everyday and it saddens me how things have went downhill. I understand they are understaffed but every time I visit I have a issue. Either not listening to your special order requests forgetting something ect. Even the managers did not care to come over to hear my concern. Don’t even try to order curbside you will be waiting even though they are not busy. They finally have breakfast again after not having it forever. I usually drive out of the way to another location bc I know my happy mood will become sad once I visit. Corporate pls help or train the staff better.

Place has really gone downhill over the years. This past week i have ordered for pickup a few times since its close by and found that half the menu was out of stock when trying to order.And then when i have been able to order there has always been something wrong. Soup container was leaking before I even picked it up off the shelf and the bag was torn. A different time the Mac and Cheese was ice cold with with actual ice crystals in it. And usually my sides are missing and Utensils where missing.The receipt on the bag has a check list but I guess nobody checks to make sure everything is right.

Orders for take out are typically missing or wrong and the only way to check is to unwrap and to individually check each item against phone order ( which is paid upfront by phone). Worse, the manager George fails to return initial call requiring a follow up. Since its a francht good luck with their regional representative to get back to you- its been over a month. When the orders are right love the food.

This cafe used to be my go to place for relaxation and good food. After my visit yesterday sadly I will not return. The place is filthy. Food and used napkins on floor and tables not cleaned. Complained to staff member with no response. I can always go to the Thousand Oaks cafe where they at least take pride in their establishment. I noted on Yelp that people have this same complaint as me. Makes you wonder just how clean is the food preparation? Guess management could care less.

I picked up some breakfast items for a friend. The in store svc was good. I had to wait about 12 minutes to receive my food. I loved the service, thank you for cutting my bread of cinnamon raisin bread to the young lady who did it and asking me if I would love that, also the manager at the time I went was 3pm he took my order and didnt ask are you ready now or you need more time he was very patient, and last Karina when I paid my loaf of bread a smile, polite, and we had a small conversation which made my day. I am a regular here and usually I don’t have anything against this place. However I recently went in and ordered food and all was well until, I saw an employee eat something with no gloves behind the counter and then spit it into their hands and throw it away. The worst part they did not wash their hands and proceeded to touch the equipment. Management was right there and witnessed the whole thing and didn’t say anything about it. I don’t mean to be rude or cause any issues but I think that this needs to be addressed.

Completely agree with all the recent reviews about this Simi Valley Panera. It used to always be on point. We go here about once to twice a week and now we are going to start looking for a new cafe. Just today ordered online for bagels and my wife went to go pick it up just for them to say that they dont have any of what we ordered and the employee says the online system is never updated. Management has seem to taken a turn for the worse there, I have always had a good experience with the employees, but my past visits were bad interactions with management. Called the Panera customer service about my online order and they said this location is an independently owned franchise and they dont have as much control and have had a lot of negative feedback lately about this location and the owners I guess own multiple Paneras not sure which ones but hopefully those locations are doing better. I will keep going to Panera just not this location anymore. Sorry for the rant its just been a build up of multiple things with this location, its a shame.

I absolutely love Paneras food and I have never had a bad experience in any location, except for the one located closest to me in Simi Valley. Initially, everything was great, but the management of this location is just abysmal! My family and I would order take out frequently, but then there were repeating incidences with this location: 1) They frequently do not pick up the phone when you call to order out (and this happens almost every single time I call), 2) They have run out of some food item you would like to order (this is especially true of the soups), 3) The wait time in the store is awful, and, my favorite, 4) They run out of bread with great frequency. If your restaurant has bread in the title (Panera Bread), you should never, ever run out of the very thing you are touting about your restaurant. If this just happened once or twice, I wouldnt care, but I have had several incidences in just the past month where I called to order, and just canceled in frustration and decided on an alternate food course. Someone needs to wake up at the Simi Valley location!

Something recently is changing and not for the good at the Simi Valley Panera. Food quality, service and staffing is diminishing. Paneras use to be Great... but now, totally inconsistent! Pastries are also shrinking and quite often low and out of stock, but the price is not reflective of the smaller size. Employee turnover is also high, which may be a reason for some of the problems. It appears that the effects of the company buyout is in full swing and ruining what was once a great and wonderful experience at this franchised location.

Management needs to be more aware of service - six people in line and one girl at register who had to slice loaves of bread for a customer and other time consuming things beside just ringing up food orders. Finally when I got up to line, another person came to help out, 12 minutes later. Then I ordered a dish that was so small I had to go somewhere else right away to eat, and Im not a big eater.

Great place to relax and meet with friends over great food. Service is very fast and friendly, and the tables are very clean. Wonderful selection of foods; theres something for everyone, even for those with dietary restrictions. Panera is a regular for us. We love their salads and their baguettes are so good. My brother and I will go after the gym, we split a full salad (they split it for us) with 2 drinks for $15. You go to fast food and pay that or more and this food is so much healthier. LOVE IT!!!

For the first time in one week I was told of 2 seperate ways to save money on 2 items that I have been buying every day for the last 6 weeks. This has saved me double the price of these items. She has worked at Panera for less than one year and takes a tremendous amount of pride in her work! when I commented about this she said, she enjoys her job and that she and she has studied the menu and wants to give the best service to her Customers. This blond young lady is a tremendous asset to Panera!!! It is rare that you find an employee who takes pride in their work much less one who enjoys their job and even more rare to have one who knows the menu and how to help the customer save money. Parena definately should promote this young lady to training both new in coming workers as well as the existing workers. She is always greeting people as they come in, as well Service with a SMILE! There are days that everyone is having a bad day and one smile or kind word can turn your day around day around, and she can certainly turn that day around!

Ordered a salad at the Simi Valley store. It was supposed to feature kale, but instead they had substituted STINGING NETTLE. Stinging nettle cannot be eaten raw. If uncooked, it is highly toxic. Fortunately I discovered the substitution before eating any. I took the salad home and did not realize the mistake until it was too late to go back. I wasted my money on an inedible salad. I hope nobody got sick due to this horrible mistake.

Quailty of store has overall decreased over time coming in to eat at the only panera in simi valley. I have been going here for 2 years and my daughter has special needs so we always come in as a routine to get out of the house and have some fun and as a customer and a mother i would like to think going out to panera as a nice experience but the managers there do not care about their employees and are very rude to people when someone has a problem. I have to say there is one gal there named, kayla or kay on her nametag and she is the only reason i can see people going there anymore because she is always smiling with a warm welcome and she doesnt just make it about paying and leaving. she seems to always add quailty and care with her customers and my daughter always gets a kind atmosphere when she is working. She told me that she is not a manager and i think panera should do better because my experiences now are just sad with these employeea who just dont care.

Every time Ive gone here my order is always messed up some how, and I mean this literally. A certain kind of soup isnt available so they swap it with something else, they give me the wrong order, you name it. I ordered a sandwich and bread bowl of soup tonight and they decided to make the sandwich without certain add-ons due to not having them and did a cup of soup instead of the bread bowl due to not having that in stock. Come here very frequently, and anytime we try to get the Plum Ginger tea they’ve made it as Hibiscus. So we ask them to please change it, and to their credit they do attempt to. However, it’s remade as Hibiscus AGAIN! They don’t know the difference. I don’t know if they’re mixing up their stuff back there or people can’t read label, or what. But it’s very very annoying! It’s the main reason we stopped going to Starbucks, because we love that tea over what they make over there plus it’s cheaper. Don’t make us start going back!

Ooops - my sandwitch wad very little meat or cheese in it. Sparce cheese - perhaps 3-4 small thin graded cheese piece. Mostly bread. 3 small pieces (1/2 inch) of meat. Such a disappointment as I have purchased sandwitches in LA that were great. What happened? Never to there again.

This is the second time i have visited and the expresso machine was out of order. My partner found the coffee container empty and had to have someone brew more coffee. Many of the booths were not cleared of dishes. Very disappointed.

Bad, I dont know that there is new staff because there was no coffee in the jugs, they gave us the food and after 15 minutes they put coffee because I asked, they didnt give us the chips that accompanied my dish, I really had a bad experience.
